I wasn't expecting that collapsing-wreck function. Caught me off-guard and I like it.
This set is packed full to the brim of figures and things to do and see. To me it feels like they've compressed a whole theme into one set! I really like that about it. It's a one stop exploration shop.
Shame the divers don't have secondary faces. Seeing them in shock as 'figs from the Atlantis theme pop out and around from the wrecked ship would be a treat. Perhaps they'd put on a musical number, and get crushed by the ship in the process.. who knows :p
These videos are therapeutic. Some near-ASMR levels.

When I was a kid in the 90s I built a sea wreck with the old Imperial Flagship and Dive series so this set has me very excited
This is EPIC! It's striking so many chords in me (diver, lego-head, aquanauts nostalgia). Nice boat, nice terrain, awesome figures, great auxiliary stuff.
This subtheme of City and this set in particular reminds me of a series I uses to watch about captain Jaques Cousteau and his crew. They had converted an old minesweeper into a research ship, together with lots of exploration vehicles (heli, subs, quads, waterplane!), it was just very cool! Best thing of all was the fact that is was 100% non-fictional, exploring the seas of the was their job. This set catches that feel for me :)

Inventing a use for things that are unintended and/or that some would consider flaws and turning them into hours of fun and a tremendous value add is what kids do. It's what kids have always done. When I was a kid, one of my favorite toys was a clump of dirt, aka a "dirt bomb." I could throw it at other toys and it would explode. It was awesome. I very directly stated in the video that the BURPs look bad and are well known as 'ugly.' I stand strongly by my belief that kids, who desire to play with their toys and enjoy them, can get some good free play value out of those particular 'ugly' 'flaws' as they happen to be placed in *this* set, as it all makes sense in this context, intended or not!

JANGBRiCKS Well...i can't contradict. Perhaps i went a bit to far and should look less strict on it, more like you, less grown up, in a certain way. You are right, my comment was kind out of place. But there are sets, that suffer from MILGOFOS, not this one, but others.

if you have 2 hulls you can combine them to get a full cargo ship. maybe lego will use the mold for someting like that

wow this looks like an amazing set. as for that new hull, it would make a nice fishing boat with a big net hanging out the back, or something a bit more sci-fi with a detachable vehicle stored there.
Great review of the set! I like the minifigure turning stands. I love the details to the Toros, especially the regulator and electronics. Such a nice update to the diving series.
Its 2016 4 days after Easter and on Easter Day I'm getting this set I'm so excited!I thought it would be most about the vessel though I watch you videos a lot and I would like to say you do a good job. Keep it up 100,000,0000 likes is probably something you should look forward to getting if you just keep it up

I truly hope that the main boat peice is used a lot and it gave me the idea to get 2 of the sets and put the main vessel peice together creating a larger hole and a large vessel.

personally i feel that this boat design would be great for future rescue sets, seeing that you could possibly put a small boat on a launch ramp in that large void.

This set looks fantastic, probably one of the best City sets ever. I won't be getting it though, just because I don't buy a whole lot of City any more.
Perhaps that boat piece could be used in a set where two are put back to back to make a longer, symmetrical boat

They could do a harbour side set and the hull could be used as a tug, like to tow out the big blue cargo ship (from 2009, I think)

Went and bought a damaged box Palace Cinema tonight for $150 at the Downtown Disney Lego store, and it came with $30 vip points for the damaged box, plus I had $5 already , plus 10% off coupon, PLUS this vessel set was on sale for $95! Grand total for this set came to $55! It's been on my want list, but not for the $120 price tag. Great review! My kids are craving to bust it open and get sea exploring :)

LEGO needs to make a “Weight brick”. Just a simple LEGO brick but made of metal to help weigh things down. Maybe they could come in different sizes? I think it would be cool to have weights on the diving cage to help it sink underwater. Awesome set!

Just a suggestion, it's probably already been suggested or something but can you put some of the super heroes sets into your city?Such as Avengers Tower or something... You could also have a street where Hulk and Hulkbuster are battling it out. I don't know, seems cool to me.

They should add a huge makeable cave system to add to this with loads of new sea animals, and a little remote control sub that you can attach a wire to. the ship with.

I don't particularly love this set, but it has it's charm. Younger kids would absolutely love this set, but my favourite has got to be the Deep Sea Submarine.
