I do really appreciate the theme here; just regular city stuff. There surprisingly isn't much of it in the city line and the ones in creator are a bit on the big/expensive side. Had they released that little coffee shop alone i would have bought it right away! Hopefully LEGO wont limit such sets with "town squares" and consider making smaller ones too. Maybe an entire sub-theme of regular city stuff?
Kepora1 I have been relying on friends sets too. Their color scheme is a bit troublesome when attempting to blend in with the city stuff but that is a very minor complaint.
Kepora1 As an artist and a fan of the newest generation of My Little Pony, i do appreciate the pastel tones too. When i made that comment the image i had in my mind was the orange and magenta used in a cafe set, which i felt really didn't work - which is why it truly is a minor complaint.. One of the newer sets however i believe had an azure building which looked beautiful.
Mickey the Maniac I am totally with you on the color scheme of Friends. I will only buy one only if I know I have the parts to swap out. If you are trying to make a somewhat "realistic" City theme, how many people do you know have pink or lavender houses/buildings? Personally, I don't think it is a "minor" complaint. The only thing you can do with those pastel parts is make specialty stores like Candy or Ice Cream shops!
prussianette I am currently working on a dessert cafe so i suppose it works fine for me. Although i suggested that blending the sets in with others is difficult, i actually haven't been building sets up in a long time, and instead buy sets for pieces for custom creations. Friends sets are very helpful for custom creations since using the vibrant colors sparingly could actually make the buildings look better.
I love this emphasis on these huge playsets that just have... a little of EVERYTHING thrown in, instead of just one giant vehicle or something. Very nice.
Yes. This regular city fare is wonderful. I love LEGO City when they show it as a place where people just live their lives and do normal things. As a professional truck driver myself I really like seeing LEGO trucks, even if it's just a B class truck for the LEGO store.
I got this set after watching your video review. It's so worth it and goes really well with the "Fun in the Park" set. Thank you for making such high quality Lego video reviews. I really appreciate the detailed way you feature each set, and I must say that the soothing manner by which you speak makes watching the videos even more pleasant. More power to you and your channel, Jang!
This set is truly amazing. I have been waiting ever since those blurry pictures on Google showed up, but this set has exceeded my expectations. Thank you Jang!
I have this set and I must say I love it they really did a great job with it and even tho I only got this set recently I already had a lot of fun with it and I don't think I'll run out of ideas for how to use everything in this set and have even more fun with it any time soon. My personal favorite bit of this set is the tram manely because I love trams and seeing one made out of Lego really made me want to get it.
I really wanted this but I could never justify the high cost, it would be a great base kit to start a city... and now it's retired. More stuff like this Lego!
I couldn't agree more that this set needed to be bought because it was so unlike our typical city sets. I kick myself in the behind because I missed the last town set (the one with the bus) as that would've been a totally nice expansion to my town as well. So many fun things in this set, I hope more people can get behind this idea.
LEGO needs to make a full scale LEGO store with a bunch of new prints for LEGO set boxes, like Elves & Space or Jurassic world, just something like that.
_X ToyScientist X_ How ever, if you bought it at the lego store, then at the lego store, you bought a lego set, with a lego lego store, with a lego lego set with a lego lego lego store.
Yes, possibily the best set from 2016 Period. I have it too, just for the great minifigure pieces and prints, the wheelchair, and the baby. It is incredible.
kody514 for me in canada in $220 not including tax... I need this set to help build my custom Lego San-Diego City. My Chinese Restaurant has turned out nicely though.
Got this set yesterday. I almost never buy City sets, but this one is AMAZING! I love everything about it, although I kind of wish it included a baseplate as well. Highly recommended!
3:40 - What's most interesting about this set (to me!) is that this is accurate - many fixed-bogie trams/LRV's do not have wheels under some of the modules! The "blue" tram from the previous City set was weird in that they put a sliding train axle under it, when no axle was actually required there. :) This design of tram (from an articulation standpoint) would be most closely related to the 3-module variant of the Bombardier FLEXITY LRV.
I love this set. It's my fave this year. And I love your review (not only this one, but all of them! please keep them coming!). I love how this set never ends. So many cool things...
I love all the vehicles, and the helicopter is pretty nice, the tram has to be my favorite, I hate how small the Lego store is, but I guess if it was any bigger they would have to charge more. They sure do like to use you face😉. Great review I also loved the speed build, keep up the good work. 👍🏻
You are right. We need more regular stuff in smaller sets. I wrote them my ideas for mini sets. I love your reviews and that you speak so clear and slow, because I am no English native speaker. To watch your videos helps getting better in English.
We had the town square last year, and this set looks very similar. So maybe LEGO is going to be putting out one of these large city sets every summer? Great review Jang, as always!
JANGBRiCKS The face print on the young girl minifigure is the Grandma Visitor's face print (from minifigures series 7) - except they flipped it vertically for some reason. I guess they wanted something that was "technically" new and called it a day.
I have been waiting for this set ever since the image was released some time ago. I love the Tram and Lego Store so much! A spectacular sets and a must get for me!
I have never been to fond of the massive, extravagant city sets that don't fit in anywhere. When they do sets like this, it allows creator and city to combine and just be seen as LEGO.
lego really should release more building sets, like lego friends, and creator, also more everyday citizen vehicles, like what they did whit LegoLand Town
hey Jang, I feel this is a must have if you got the Lego Town Square 60026, with that pizza deliver scooter & a must have for all the Lego printed piece, the coffee chain shop is cool, I have two other sets that are tv choppers & cant wait to have this one, thanks for another great review, big thumbs up as always,
I've got an old 1970's Hot Wheels all metal car dealership playset that was set up the same way as the one in this video, two cars stored on two levels, a small office on the bottom right, and even a lift with scissor arms for working on cars. Scary how these very distant things are so similar.
The two Lego employes are Jang and Greg Farshtey! Also, ever wondered how Jang can afford all the lego? Well, Lego puts him everywhere, so I donno how he got time to work, but he has a lot of jobs, so he get's paid a lot! ;)
The tram in this set is a great improvement compare to the one they released in 2010 (set 8404). Not only it is bigger and nicer, but it can hold more passengers too.
A cross between the old city square and the public transport sets! This is awesome!! Especially those lego prints, wow!!!!! Gotta get this, thanks for the review Jang! Very informative! :D :D
My favourite set. I love normal cars, the helicopter is origonal and unique, The buildings are great and have lots of detail and you get so many things in it. Hope people buy it and say to LEGO that they want more city based scenes. I hope i get it for my birthday (20th May)
I had trouble pulling the trigger on this one because of the price. But in the end I did because of the Lego store and the coffee stand. I'm glad I got it. And I agree with Jang that we need more City sets like these!
You're so right on the 'we have to support these sets', that's why I've bought every city squarish set so far although the price per piece are on the high side of the prefered 10 cents... With this set I espsecialy love the legobranded parts (mf torso, truck and store). On the con: I find the way they created entreance into the tram a bit bulky...
I managed to buy a great little town scene from this now I can start my city thanks for showing me how great this set is and finally convincing me to get a town square set last time I saw one talked myself out of buying massive regret thought I would never get the same chance again
Now I want it even more! As soon as I saw the box, I knew I wanted it, so I reserved a space in my city for it a month ago. Why must it cost so much. Awesome!
The tram conductor's face seems to be new. I don't know for sure, but I haven't seen it before. But then again, LDD is the only LEGO I seem to use these days...
I like how people are complaining about the retail price. Since it's Memorial Day and I'm getting this set. The original price was $189.99 For target it's $135.99 for now, maybe on Memorial Day it will lower.
I do wish that LEGO released more sets like this. The best creator sets are too expensive and the smaller ones are not really city (such as the beach hut and the log cabin). I would definitely buy cars and other builds just on their own. The police and fire do sell, but people like me would rather have just small, cheaper buildings or even something like the coffee shop on it's own. I also wish they released normal train sets (Like the high speed passenger train) more often and not cargo trains. I would love to buy the tram or something similar on it's own. Ok, I'm done.
If you look closely 1:01 , the Lego store in this set has 1932 written on the top of the building. Curious, I googled "Lego 1932" well, here's the result: "(In 1932) Ole Kirk Kristiansen, master carpenter and joiner, establishes his business in the village of Billund, Denmark. His firm manufactures stepladders, ironing boards, stools and wooden toys. His son, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen, starts working in the business at the age of 12." turns out that 1932 is the very, very beginning of Lego itself. The information is sourced from Lego.com. perhaps that should add more value.
This set looks awesome. So much room for imagination! And because you get many small things, you feel like you're getting what you pay for. Although, for $189 it is kinda pricey :)
Since the knight and spaceman are life sized minifigs to the minifigs it would have been nice if they had the classic lego smiley face, both because it has its nostalgic appeal and to give them less detail than the other figures.
I agree with the comment about splitting some of these larger sets into smaller sets. Although I can afford these sets, many kids save up their allowances for these things and this is completely out of their price range (not all parents have the disposable income to buy either). I have often wondered why Lego doesn't do something like give people an option of buying a large set like this in one package at one price, and then break it down into 2 or 3 smaller sets with potentially a slightly higher per piece count (there is more packaging costs for multiple sets). This would allow more people access, and knowing how I was when I was a kid in these kinds of situations (or a young adult with little money), I could save up for one, and put the others on my birthday/Christmas gift list!
This is great. I agree with you that Lego should do more sets for city decoration. That doesn't need to be a large set like this smaller sets are ok too

JANGBRiCKS hi your the real mvp
If you reply I will scream
Hi jang I just want to say I love this set and I have my own Lego city it's a work in progress. My city is made up of Lego city and creator sets.
I love this emphasis on these huge playsets that just have... a little of EVERYTHING thrown in, instead of just one giant vehicle or something. Very nice.
I'd call this the best Lego city set yet.
Yes. This regular city fare is wonderful. I love LEGO City when they show it as a place where people just live their lives and do normal things. As a professional truck driver myself I really like seeing LEGO trucks, even if it's just a B class truck for the LEGO store.
Thanks so much for all your enormously informative and helpful Lego set reviews. Keep up the good work sir.
The tram car looks very nice! I like the use of those glass pieces!
The address of the store is 1932. The year Lego was founded. Clever.
This set is truly amazing. I have been waiting ever since those blurry pictures on Google showed up, but this set has exceeded my expectations. Thank you Jang!
I agree got this for my birthday a couple years ago and it is still my all time favorite set
I have this set and I must say I love it they really did a great job with it and even tho I only got this set recently I already had a lot of fun with it and I don't think I'll run out of ideas for how to use everything in this set and have even more fun with it any time soon. I really wanted this but I could never justify the high cost, it would be a great base kit to start a city... and now it's retired. More stuff like this Lego!
Yellonet you can buy it at stores like Walmart or Target. I found it on there website
It's not retired...
Few, I thought he really said it was retired!
Yellonet are you pretty sure? I got this set yesterday on target
Thanks Jangbricks for taking the time to do this review - very helpful!!
I couldn't agree more that this set needed to be bought because it was so unlike our typical city sets. In my opinion , this is the best Lego set in recent years. Nice review Jang, keep up the good work.
LEGO needs to make a full scale LEGO store with a bunch of new prints for LEGO set boxes, like Elves & Space or Jurassic world, just something like that.
_X ToyScientist X_ And the print of the box the set came in!
Awsome Z Man Yeah, that would be funny.
_X ToyScientist X_ How ever, if you bought it at the lego store, then at the lego store, you bought a lego set, with a lego lego store, with a lego lego set with a lego lego lego store.
Awsome Z Man Wow, that was confusing. But it was a good point, I think.
_X Toy Scientist X_ yeah, lol.
I like how Lego is putting more vehicles and things in their sets lately.
Great review Jang! I can't wait to get this set. I wish they would make City sets with regular scenes, structures, etc as well.
This is easily one of, if not the best Lego city set
Have you seen fun in the par- Yeah, you are right. Infact I might just get two.
Lbrick fun in the park is also a great set, I have it and it comes with so much for a decent price
Yes, possibily the best set from 2016 Period. I have it too, just for the great minifigure pieces and prints, the wheelchair, and the baby. It is incredible.
Lbrick they really need to make more sets like these 2. Yeah and that baby was adorable, and all the mini figures in the park were so diverse
Too true.
Thanks for the review. I've been very excited about this set since it was announced.
This is such a great set, I hope they make mo- (looks at price)

Lol same reaction...
kody514 £140 is too steep for me! Well, for now anyway....
kody514 for me in canada in $220 not including tax... I need this set to help build my custom Lego San-Diego City.
My Chinese Restaurant has turned out nicely though.
That's what I thought and it was supposed to be on special at toy world.
+Gamesof Ravenclaw I wanna see a picture :D
Got this set yesterday. I almost never buy City sets, but this one is AMAZING! I love everything about it, although I kind of wish it included a baseplate as well. Highly recommended!
This set and 60026 make quite a nice combination for a starter city!
I'll be buying this once it's released in the UK.
Nathan Budd True to my word... just purchased this set :D
+Nathan Budd wow thats cool that you react to your own comment
the first h
That's amazing! Lego should make more of such sets! I like it that they included so many small things, instead of making one big set!
Lego needs more things like this not just police stations and firestations. WE WANT MORE CITY STUFF!
3:40 - What's most interesting about this set (to me!) is that this is accurate - many fixed-bogie trams/LRV's do not have wheels under some of the modules! I really like that coffee chain shop! Also this seems like a pretty nice set, you get a lot, and the builds are really compact and good looking!
I have never been to fond of the massive, extravagant city sets that don't fit in anywhere. When they do sets like this, it allows creator and city to combine and just be seen as LEGO.
Really nice set - great that they used some really nice new pieces.
How much does it cost? 👍
Your LEGO City table looks so good I wish I had that much of LEGO sets
I JUST LOVE THE WAY EVERYTHING IS DONE! I´m pretty shure It will contribute to my city
Uuh, that train is beautiful looking and so simple.
I've just bought this set and it's the best
lego really should release more building sets, like lego friends, and creator, also more everyday citizen vehicles, like what they did whit LegoLand Town
This set is amazing, so many opportunities and all new torso prints in one set? Had that even been done yet?
I am just so impressed with this set
that 1932 at the top of the lego building, is a reference to the year lego went into business
I AM SO BUYING THIS SET!
hey Jang, I feel this is a must have if you got the Lego Town Square 60026, with that pizza deliver scooter & a must have for all the Lego printed piece, the coffee chain shop is cool, I have two other sets that are tv choppers & cant wait to have this one, thanks for another great review, big thumbs up as always,
Yeah! We need more City fair lego sets. I love your vids. Thank you very much Jang!
I like this LEGO truck the best out of the semi one this one fits a city and is more practical
I've got an old 1970's Hot Wheels all metal car dealership playset that was set up the same way as the one in this video, two cars stored on two levels, a small office on the bottom right, and even a lift with scissor arms for working on cars. Scary how these very distant things are so similar.

Good thing they include a full set of the better wheel and tire, just wish they had enough for both cars :(
Omg I'm SOO excited I'm getting this for christmas
They should make a road baseplate with tram rails built in it
True
I want that set sooooo bad
Malu Herrera then get it
A cross between the old city square and the public transport sets! This is awesome!! Especially those lego prints, wow!!!!! Gotta get this, thanks for the review Jang! Very informative! :D :D
JANGBRICKS Your Lego videos are the greatest and you definitely deserve WAY more subscribers (like at LEAST 5million) keep up the AMAZING work!
Your end point about the regular city stuff. They're not listening. Our child would like more sets like this one.
My favourite set. I love normal cars, the helicopter is origonal and unique, The buildings are great and have lots of detail and you get so many things in it. Hope people buy it and say to LEGO that they want more city based scenes. I hope i get it for my birthday (20th May)

I bought this set because u encouraged me too and i absolutely love it and don't regret getting it. thank you
You're so right on the 'we have to support these sets', that's why I've bought every city squarish set so far although the price per piece are on the high side of the prefered 10 cents...
With this set I espsecialy love the legobranded parts (mf torso, truck and store). On the con: I find the way they created entreance into the tram a bit bulky...
Can the tram fit onto the Lego train station rail?
Awang Suprima It can :D
JANGBRiCKS thats great, thanks. Actually just notice you mentioned it in the video, my bad. thanks

Wow! Lego is going all out in recent sets. This then the under water sets to the new speed champion cars! Lego is doing a great job
The tram conductor's face seems to be new. I don't know for sure, but I haven't seen it before. But then again, LDD is the only LEGO I seem to use these days...
i just got this set and it is great. i wood love to see more city sets as well
I like how people are complaining about the retail price.
Since it's Memorial Day and I'm getting this set.
The original price was $189.99
For target it's $135.99 for now, maybe on Memorial Day it will lower.
glad to see that they are using your minifigure face more again. it is such a pleasant face
This set looks great! It's the kind of thing I'd get for the parts, minfigs, and some of the vehicles.
Really like the new printed Lego set pieces!
This set looks super cool. I really want this set but my god the price is extremely expensive. I'm gonna need a job soon.
I like this set alot for all the details it includes. Price might be a little high, but it is a good start for a good city.
If you look closely 1:01 , the Lego store in this set has 1932 written on the top of the building. Curious, I googled "Lego 1932" well, here's the result:

turns out that 1932 is the very, very beginning of Lego itself. The information is sourced from Lego.com. perhaps that should add more value.
First of all I love this set and I think kids want this stuff better
Hi
This is my favorite lego set
Secret Easter egg the Lego store's address is"1932" which is the year Lego first started, good job Lego
I watch all your review videos all the time.
This is my favorite Lego city set along with the town square
I hope lego makes an ENTIRE city with everything mashup so we can all have a city of OURS
I have watched this video so many times! I love it! :-D
lol jangbricks included in the set that will always make me laugh
I love how they have added in the city pizza guy this would be an awesome addition to my city
This is great. I agree with you that Lego should do more sets for city decoration. That doesn't need to be a large set like this smaller sets are ok too
You are super right jang I do like these types of sets
