- Every LEGO fan knows about the iconic Classic Spaceman minifigures! It's every AFOL's goal to collect all the different colors of these minifigures as they are released. I recently made it MY mission to collect them all by purchasing retired LEGO sets, LEGO books, and NUMEROUS spare parts so that I could have them ALL.

fun trivia: the white space baby and his blue variant from the same set actually have a different face print for those who don't know. the pink and blue have the baby face, which has larger eyes and a deeper smile. the white and blue from the GWP have the classic lego smile.

The build a minifigure station has the dark blue torso but also has the same colour legs to go with it 😊

My mom bought me the Yellow Castle when I was a kid and it's still my favorite set to this day. As you noted, it had 4 of those grey helmets, but it was also the _only_ set to have the white and grey visors. The red and black ones came in the joust and three little minifig packs.
I got the Exosuit with the green spacemen a few years ago when it was released, but I haven't gotten the helmets for them yet. I'll swing by the PAB wall next week and grab them there. Thanks for the info!
Orange is now in Alien Space Diner 40687-1. Don't think it has a tank. Dark blue helmet is not cheap. =/

Amazing🎉 I’ve been a long time space minifigure collector too, so loved this! You may have ran across my grey space corridor display for my collection. I’m still missing that darn OG grey space helmet $$ someday!

Ive also started collecting these figs today. It has cost me €275 and Im still missing black and grey. But prob not gonna buy these cause to expensive
Because you mentioned liking the old CMF bags, fyi the new CMF boxes have codes on the bottom you can scan with certain apps to see what minifigures are inside. It's even better than the bags because you don't have to spend ages feeling around and guessing if what you felt was the right thing. From what I know this is entirely intentional by lego so people can get the blind gatcha experience AND also get the figures they want if they know the trick.
There were only five: White, Yellow, Blue, Red, and Black. The Black is rarest and only in around 7 sets. Then there is the white with blue jetpack figure only in the 6952. These reissues aren't classic..

It is always a joy to see someone get the whole collection. Living in the States I have a much larger pool of options to source parts and figures. Additionally, growing up I actually had the classic Knights Tournament set with the gray helmets so I never had to source one of those. Some classic space sets also included the old gray air tanks. Just now impatiently waiting for the Dark Blue air tanks and helmets to come out. I am kind of hoping for the new Spaceman to be Lime Green from the Lego Ideas set next year. But I could chose my own color outside of the voting options I would like a Dark Green or a Sand Blue one.
I love the classic lego spacemen, I have my set sitting on my fish tank (seemed as good a place as any). Although I haven't been able to bring myself to pull the trigger on a grey helmet so my grey guy is making do with a motorcycle helmet, also my dark blue has no tank and a mining helmet but I have a feeling they will turn up in some random city set in the not too distant future. Oh and there is an upcoming GWP that is going to have 5 white and 5 orange classic space torsos so you have to source a helmet and tank but orange is getting pretty abundant.
There's a rumour the orange space man is coming out with a white space man for the tic tac toe set
But they really need to do another black space man. that's the one I'm missing
Honestly I just hope they release the correct gray colours in a newer set, didn't know the old gray helmet was so expensive 💀
Each module for the space station should have a different colour, and they all represent a different spaceman

Just wait there is another color coming in a Lego ideas set. We as fans got to vote on the color. I'm not sure which color won though. Expect the set early next year.
