The next master challenge should be to do this same challenge but instead, only collect the Pokémon’s first appearance on a card. The first set a Pokémon is showcased on a card, that’s the card you must collect.
This binder is legit cool af. This will be one of a kind. Would be cool if once he completed it. He hunt down the highest rarity of those mon and replace it
This makes me so happy as this is how I collect and store my cards by national dex number and then a binder for each generation, at the back of the binder I have regional forms from that generations region. It’s how I have been collecting since I was a child. Gotta catch ‘em all. Ps. On the newer cards if they are not a full art the dex number is right under the picutre
When printing out generation lists with their number you should have sorted them alphabetically. This makes finding the Pokemon a ton easier as you are trying to determine the number anyways. Food for thought on the next big binder challenge lol.
I took this challenge on and have been working on it over the last few years. Every time i finish the Pokedex a new generation comes around, so it's a never ending task haha :)
I was pessimistic about seeing a full arts alongside vintage but it actually looks super cool! It makes it kind of exciting to scan through because while you know what pokemon is next you don't know what art is.

so the thing is... Let's say you wanna get 28 cards from a selection, each equally likely You would on average need to see 106 cards to get all of the 28. this number goes up a lot for 1008 cards you are looking for. So at some point you do need to buy some cards. (Im not saying you didnt say that i just wanna show that it gets very expensive to do it the card openers way)
After catching all the Pokémon in the Mega Pokémon Binder, it's best to evolve them into a mega compilation video, maybe even a marathon that stretches for several hours.
Great idea but would be so much better if the cards for each Pokemon weren’t just random! Could be your favorite card of each Pokemon or a card picked by the community for example. Feels more tedious than rewarding when it’s just random cards thrown in a binder!

It's days like today where I wish I would have kept all of my pokemon cards in a binder when I was a kid. I had so many holographics from the first set, including multiple holographic charizards. 😅

I wish there was more of a community around this specific aspect of collecting. There are so many cool ways you can go about collecting this and there is a lot to discuss when it comes to card selection (rookie, full art, favorite version, most expensive, holo, non-holo, foreign, etc) (regional forms or no regional forms) how to display them (there is a 16 pocket 1200 card binder on amazon, but in a generation or so that's not going to be large enough so do you go with binder pages for expansion ability or do you go with a binder for each generation?)
Just curious, why didnt you use Scarlet and Violet 151 as your checklist? I mean you are not breaking up the master set but its a good way to do your check list?

This actually seems like a really, really fun challenge to do like casually especially for me who hasn't collected the cards since Pokemon originally came out.
Jokes on you, I LOVE sorting things physically like the start of the video; wish I could go back in time and tell you to print out a masterlist of pokemon name and number to stick in the front of the binder, then to mark each page like you did 1-64, and so on, and then to place a piece of paper with the number of the cad in each slot that doesn't have a card in it yet. By the time you collect enough using this method you can just use a highlighter on the ones you have in the binder leaving the ones you need without highlighting and the numbers and pokemon will then be obvious to you as you go.
Your mind was so shot, you had to switch to something easier like hitting the gong 😂 Congratulations on finishing the 1st 151, it made for a good video. I have pretty much all the cards you were looking for, so it was rough watching you struggle
