So excited for the dark blue but heartbroken that the second we get the proper helmet and air tanks for the existing spacemen, we get another incomplete one

@@MinifigJez YAY, but do you think you could put them right in front of the adult of its corresponding color? That will make it so that new viewers (such as me) have an even better time watching the videos. (If that is even possible)
The dark blue motorcycle helmet is super close, to the point where a casual Lego fan might not notice - While the "City Space" one would have stuck out too much. You made the right call
@@Serial_Designation_Cryo Yes, I know Clay had it first, but if you want to get one today, the only sets you can buy it in are the City sets. (I didn't say it WAS a LEGO City helmet, at 6:35 I just said its the helmet that they use in the space sets)
"...and later on in 2036 we will be getting a spaceman in Light Taupe with an Aqua-Marine stripe, but we aren't getting air tanks in that colour until 2045"
@@landsgevaer Ahhh.... but we never find out if they are super-intelligent compared to other species, or only by comparison to other shades of blue! (thanks for the superb HGTTG comment)
Just wanted to mention that I noticed the different color green months ago, but felt it didn't matter all that much, and it would have been slightly impolite to say something. However, I must say that I'm glad you took the time to place the regular green tiles in first, and put the astronaut back - and then add in the dark blue, and complete the display. These things may seem unimportant to some people, but I appreciate that each astronaut gets his or her own moment. This is a special phenomenon, a huge corporation like Lego listening to the fans, and producing results. I don't want to (let's not) jinx it!
Thanks for the comment, it properly made me smile! I noticed the green as soon as I'd made it, way back in Feb 2023, but didn't want to swap the green over until I did a significant update. Thank you for your politeness not mentioning it, if you read some of the comments on the original, the rest of RUclips wasn't as polite as you were !!!!!
It might be a bit morbid, but I would have not used either mismatched color air tank or incorrect style helmet, but left the character without and looked for an alternate head that reflects what would happen to a person without a helmet in the vacuum of space. Only when Lego releases a helmet and tank in the dark blue would the figure’s head be swapped back to a happy generic piece.
Tremendous! So satisfying to see this. Each new classic spaceman color is so weirdly intoxicating. Awesome to see yet another color added and thank you, Jez, for showing us the smartest way to add parts to the display base. 👍🏼
Given how LEGO is clearly intentionally giving us the pieces to build new spaceman colours every year now, I’m sure it will only be a short amount of time before you can give him the proper helmet and oxygen tank
Yes, I think the same. Maybe we will get a new CMF in the January series with them? At least we know that the NEXT classic spaceman is going to be a COMPLETE one, and not one put together from pieces. It's going to been of these 5 colours: ruclips.net/video/JZAZRwubeH0/видео.html
@@MinifigJezYou should consider the width (or depth) of the display. Since in each next roll the astronaut is one stud behind the previous one. If one stud is 8mm. And you will have 3 studs as the back wall, one extra stud space before the wall because of the oxygen tanks and one in the front. The depth will be 8x200+8x5=1640mm->1.64m.
As long as Lego make him in a colour that I can get that curved brick in too ! - we will just have to wait and se what colour we get from the Fan Vote !

I truly love classic space and when in dreamzzz Dr Oz had a classic space shirt I really wanted Lego to make it and it being and new colour is just super
We can only imagine how long the display will be in 10 years. Also, thank you for switching the green. I could've made this display - and I have before - but my OCD wouldn't let me do it with the wrong green, so seeing you do it is just satisfying!
I love the classic spacemen so I'm very happy we are getting another colour. I might be a bit contrary here but I don't know if it was worth the effort of extending the display. Even though I have mine done in the same way at the moment I'm kind of tired of the everybodies awesome display and might try to come up with some new display option. As for the helmet and tank I do have a feeling that they will show up in the dark blue in some random city or new year set in the next few months so I'm just going to wait and see for a while.
I still love the effort of extending the display! If it was just the original "Everyone is Awesome" display, I wouldn't be bothered with it, but I'm loving that it's now Every Spaceman is Awesome ! I'm wondering the helmet and air tanks will show up in a New Year set, like the purple ones?
Love the dark blue! Hoping to pick a torso up myself soon. now we just need the classic space helmet & airtanks in dark blue. I suspect we’ll either have to wait for a CMF figure with them or just have the helmet & airtanks on a figure like they did with the purple.
Nice! I did my spacemen in release order, so dark blue will be going on the end of my 'Every Spaceman is Awesome' - but will definitely copy your technique. Sigh, now the wait for no.13 in the minifigure prize machine set starts (also the wait for dark blue air-tanks and a classic helmet)
Chronological order is a cool idea. My Art College days forces my mind to only see it in colour order though, so that's what I went with!! We've got quite a wait for the next one, it's not due out until at least next year - We'll just have wait and see what colour it is..
YES! This video makes me so happy. It has massive, flawless production value and i am a huge fan of Classic Space Lego from when I was wee. Minifig Jez is a great channel and creator! Now Lego: Are you paying attention? We adult fans have enough disposable income to make Classic Space figs profitable for a generation longer! Please get us the dark blue tanks and helmet tout de suite! Takk ❤🇩🇰🤓
Hi Jez, great video. I was wondering whether you could make some instructions on how to build the display step by step as its now much more complex than then everyone is awesome. Thanks,
It'll take me a while, but until I can... 1st... get the original instructions from here: www.lego.com/cdn/product-assets/product.bi.core.pdf/6379860.pdf And the if then you re-watch the video from 2:32 I go thru all teh steps on what I;ve done to extend the whole thing for an extra spaceman. I hope that helps for now.
I know the hassle, i've previously wanted to add another row on the bricklink studio app, and it is not that easy. i imagine it's even harder with actual pieces. (also those 2 purple 1x2s next to each other are annoying, why didnt you replace them with a 2x2 4:16)
I left them as two 1x2 purpose tikes, because they are all in a 2x2 grid. So all along the back there are 1x2's with a join infant of them. If I hanged the Purple row for a 2x2, there would no longer be a join line in the purple row where every other row has a join, and I thought it looked more out of place that way.
@@nazminabanihashemi2846 Yes, I understand what you mean, and if I extended the display more, the pattern would KEEP that 1x2 purple tile behind the 1x2 purple plate, but then add a 2x2 tile behind it. So what you have to think is that I have followed the existing pattern, added a row of 2x2 tiles behind the original display, but then cut them all in half with the wall. So having two 1x2 tiles actually DOES follow the original pattern !
@@MinifigJez The black/grey tanks with the dark blue CS suit. I'm hoping that LEGO eventually releases dark blue tanks and CS helmet parts. I'll hold back on adding a dark blue CS astronaut to my display collection until then.
That's a great idea. - So as well as Classic Space, what other figs does that include? M-Tron? Blacktron? Futuron? Ice Planet? Space Police? There's quite a few brick-built minifigure display stands out there, which people have designed and made. You should check out Rebrickable or youTube for some inspiration and get building!
@@AndyWeil-n2j Classics! The zipper ones are "Futuron" you can see them all here: brickset.com/minifigs?query=futuron Have fun building your display. and let me know how it turns out.
agree on your helmet choice, but the obvious answer is to get another set of spacemen with the other helmet option and have two displays. I picked up a few torsos of this myself, along with the Halloween minifigs, which I loved the witch, but wish we got another "costume" like the tree person last year. Here I am wishing the other classic theme, castle, got as much love,
Last year we did get both Lion Knights and Black Falcons torsos in the Build-a-minifig towers with matching shields. I saw lots of people stocking up on them back then (I got a fair few myself !) Couldnt you swap out the large plates for smaller rows of plates so that next time you can just add the row. You can even connect the bricks with technic bricks and pins
well... in my opinion, I think you should watch my other videos, and see the separate display that my space babies have, using 1x2 jumper plates. If you're interested, you can see it here: ruclips.net/video/5OmAe2wYoro/видео.htmlsub_confirmation=1
If it's just the logo that's damaged. if it looks like this: www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb1652c01 Then it's meant to look like this. if it's damaged in any other way... it's actually damaged ! I hope that helps.
Do you think of Storys/Storylines for the Classic Spaceman/Lego Minifigures (In your head)? Of the Spaceman watch do you think is the button pusher (thay see a button & pushs it)
I must admit, when I was a kid my classic spacemen went on EPIC adventures and I thought up MANY stories, but nowadays, not so much! Which one do you think would be the one to see a big red button and just HAVE to push it?
in 2025, the spaceman colour would be lightish aquamarine with taupe stripes, and if a lego brick is 8mm wide, I estimate the 1000th minifigure will then make my display 16 metres long! (52 and a half feet)... I can't wait !!!!!
You know, that “City Space” helmet actually originates from the Nexo Knights theme. It was Clay’s helmet. Also, personally, while the motorcycle helmet may fit with the others better, I think the Nexo Knights helmet just looks cooler. Gives an extra edge to the dark blue guy you don’t typically see in other classic space figs.
Yes, I have several of those Clay minifigs, and it was also in another Clay figure in an AWESOME sand blue colour (as well as used in green for Aaron) It was also used in Dark Blue recently in the City deep sea explorers sets.
6:50 Hey man. I have been thinking about this but... How about you go for a unofficial Lego Piece of the Airtank piece in Dark Blue. Like I did found one at my local school. And it is unofficial so... Why not used a unofficial Lego piece colour?
How much are the light gray helmets and the dark blue helmets, why didn’t you move the other display plates the minfigures stand on up one 1x2 tile instead you added a tile at the back of each one, also you should take some white bricks and add them to the bottom to make the display a bit taller and better looking I’m trying to make my own display I just need the dark blue space man I added white bricks to make the display taller it looks way better in my opinion,( you probably won’t see this but have a good day nonetheless)
I'll try to answer all your points... 1) Light grey helmets can be expensive, it depends where you live. Here's a link to their page: www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=193a2&idColor=9#T=C&C=9 2) Dark Blue motorcycle helmets are here: www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2446&idColor=63#T=C&C=63 3) I added a tile at the back, as it was teh most sensible place, if I'd moved them all forward, there would no longer be a space in front of the first figure, which wouldn't look good. 4) I don't want to add white bricks underneath it, as that's not what the original set looks like, and I don't want it on a tall plinth, I think two white plates underneath looks fine - I wanted it to a MOD of the set not a whole new creation.. 5) I ALWAYS see EVERY comment, and always reply to them all. 6) THNAKS! I will have a good day.
i think a cooler order for the colors would be brown (because its kind of a shade of red) red, orange, yellow, green, blue, dark blue, purple, white (because its going back to being bright), grey, and then black.
Colours should always loop back round, (I learnt that with Colour wheels at Art College!!) What you've done is move the white/grey/black to the other end - So it's effectively the same order as each other. You've gone from the bright pink, to the white (because it's bright) and then got darker to the black. I've gone from the dark brown, to the black (because it's dark) and then got brighter to the white! The only one I don't agree with you is the dark blue... The Purple is a darker shade than the Green, so I think the Dark Blue looks better next to the darker Purple instead of the lighter Green! I hope that helps you understand the reasons for the order that I put them in! Thanks for commenting.
Asked it on before, but will ask here : When / Where did the Green classic helmet come out ? Was it or is it on Pick a Brick? Or is it in a set ? If LEGO would just come out with a CLASSIC SPACE MINI FIG COLOR SERIES with accessories - ALL of our complicated lives would be sOOoOoO much easier !
Here's a video I made about the green helmet: ruclips.net/video/youhFsyYn2E/видео.html but since then it's also been available on Lego.com And here's the video of it being added to the display: ruclips.net/video/9lIyIHPavrY/видео.html
Cool display, but I think if I was going to build it I would put them in order of the colors as they came out. Like red, white, yellow, and so on. Keep up the cool videos 😁👍
I don't know if you're a Red Vs. Blue fan, but this is almost a spaceman for every main character in that show, since each of them wear different colored armor. White - Meta Gray - Washington Black - Tex Brown - Lopez Red - Sarge Orange - Grif Yellow - Sister Green - Genkins Blue - Church Dark Blue - Caboose Purple - Doc Pi- I mean, Lightish Red - Donut Technically Washington is dark gray with yellow accents, and Caboose is regular blue while Church is light blue, but other than that, you're only missing two characters: Simmons (Dark Red) and Tucker (Cyan? Aqua? Lightish Turquoise? Something like that).
Thanks for the comment. I had no idea what RvB was until you commented. So I googled it, and I see what you mean. Although, if anyone was making a set of RvB minifigures, I think that Lego make helmets which are much more similar to those ones!!! - Thanks again for commenting.

I blame Lego Friends, we get parts in VERY unusual colours due to building techniques used in some Lego Friends sets !!! The Orient Express helped a lot with Dark Blue pieces, but alas, not a double jumper plate ! (Do you mean the 2x4 jumper?)

For the matter of a few weeks we had a 100% complete display, now, it's waiting for the other parts in dark blue. thanks Lego!
Yes, Lego likes to keep us on our toes !!!
@@MinifigJezwell this actually follows a patern, and it never has two 1x2s next to each other
@@nazminabanihashemi2846 Yes, I understand what you mean, and if I extended the display more, the pattern would KEEP that 1x2 purple tile behind the 1x2 purple plate, but then add a 2x2 tile behind it.
So what you have to think is that I have followed the existing pattern, added a row of 2x2 tiles behind the original display, but then cut them all in half with the wall. So having two 1x2 tiles actually DOES follow the original pattern !

It's an ok idea. But I don't really use non-Lego pieces, and even if I did, I'm not sure where I would find a dark Blue pair?
@@MinifigJez True, Even online searching might be dangerous to find a piece like that.
Here's a link to their page:
www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=193a2&idColor=9#T=C&C=9
2) Dark Blue motorcycle helmets are here:
www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2446&idColor=63#T=C&C=63
3) I added a tile at the back, as it was teh most sensible place, if I'd moved them all forward, there would no longer be a space in front of the first figure, which wouldn't look good.
Colours should always loop back round, (I learnt that with Colour wheels at Art College!!)
What you've done is move the white/grey/black to the other end - So it's effectively the same order as each other.
Thanks for commenting.

love all the classic spaceman and make me what to get them myself but your missing the light blue spaceman or a should say spacewoman from your set
Which set is the light blue spaceman (or woman) in ? - as I'll HAVE to get her!
I don't know if you're a Red Vs. Blue fan, but this is almost a spaceman for every main character in that show, since each of them wear different colored armor.
White - Meta
Gray - Washington
Black - Tex
Brown - Lopez
Red - Sarge
Orange - Grif
Yellow - Sister
Green - Genkins
Blue - Church
Dark Blue - Caboose
Purple - Doc
Pi- I mean, Lightish Red - Donut
Technically Washington is dark gray with yellow accents, and Caboose is regular blue while Church is light blue, but other than that, you're only missing two characters: Simmons (Dark Red) and Tucker (Cyan? Aqua? Lightish Turquoise? Something like that).

When is this going to leave the minifigure maker section as I am going to my legos store this weekend but don’t know if it’s going to be there or not
They only leave when they sell out. SO it will completely depend on how popular they have been at YOUR specific store. I bought 4 of them, but I have heard of people buying LOTS. I can only suggest that you go and see if they have any, and if you can't find. any, ask a staff member if they have any in their store room

Oh, that must have been SO disappointing. I hope you manage to get one next weekend.
Unfortunately LEGO® doesn't seem to hurry with dark blue elements.
I've been waiting for a dark blue double jumper plate for ages now, but with no luck, even though it's a pretty basic part.
It even exists in weird colors colors like bright pink, dark turquoise or medium blue.
I blame Lego Friends, we get parts in VERY unusual colours due to building techniques used in some Lego Friends sets !!!
The Orient Express helped a lot with Dark Blue pieces, but alas, not a double jumper plate !
(Do you mean the 2x4 jumper?)
@@MinifigJez No, the 1x3 one.
I just realized they're both called "double jumper" on BrickLink.
I’ll be back in 2026 when a light green lego spaceman is realized
You MIGHT not have to wait that long, as it was one of the colours included in teh fan vote for teh next colour to be made (hopefully early next year). If you're interested, you can see it here: ruclips.net/video/JZAZRwubeH0/видео.htmlsub_confirmation=1
Looks like the fan vote color wont be warm gold. I hope they release the other colors that are out in different sets to make it easier to track them down.

Have you seen some recent news about it? - please let me know where you got your information?
@@MinifigJez i thought i saw it in that link to vote and another color has more votes then the warm gold color.
@@MinifigJez if gold does win will you be able to put it in your display? do they make a gold tile?

Grren lime?
Lego don’t make a lime spaceman.
woa.... gay spacemen... so cool :)
i'm very happy we're getting a new spaceman color and it wont cost me a fortune this time around just cuz i missed out on one GWP
also at first i though this vid was gonna be too long but i actually really appreciate you showing how to build the whole base of ur Everyone Is Awesome display cuz it helped me just realize that i dont need to cover every single antistud to have a strong foundation on my display pieces. been working on a Lego House thing lately combining multiple sets and it's been a pain in the ass to get all the pieces I wanted but I never thought of simply Using Less Pieces
I don’t think they’ve all come out as gay, but I must admit, I haven’t spoken to all of them personally!!!
On the building aspect, I go by the rule, if it doesn’t get seen, use any bits you have to hand!! For this one you obviously need solid plates for the top layer, to hold all the tiles, but the layer below just needs the edges and a few extras. I hope your Lego house build goes well.
Thanks for commenting
@@MinifigJez That was genuinely the best way i've seen a content creator go along a lighthearted gay joke :] kudos to you, and i'm happy the spacemen get to be fully trustworthy on you when they're ready :P

That Looks good. I Hope LEGO will Release dark Blue airtank soon.
I hope so too!
So you think we'll get the Dark Blue helmet and tanks in the next big LNY or Monkee Kid set, or do you think we'll get light gray instead?
I imagine they will give us Dark blue in a set. Either the ones you suggested, or it could even be something like a CMF, maybe teh January series?... Who knows? but it's gonna be fun finding out.
I won't rest until I complete the Dark Blue Space guy
The parts aren't too difficult to get hold of, so I hope you manage to complete it soon.
Personally, I think the bottom of the wall should also have a curve to it so It matches better with the top part.
That's a GREAT idea, and something that I'll look into. I'm not sure if Lego make the inverted curved slop in ALL those colours though. - I'll go and check out some parts on Bricklink.

LEGO only made us wait one year for the purple ones, so here’s hoping….
There is a light blue one now
Is there? Which set is it in?
I collected all of the spacemen myself recently. Lego not making the new helmet and air tanks in the proper gray really gets on my nerves.
I got an old 1978 helmet in old grey and it was just the right amount of faded so that you really can't tell the difference.

Hi there. Currently there have only been 12 official classic spacemen colours made by Lego, which are teh ones in this video. I often see other colours on eBay etc, but they are either custom printed by other people, or they have stickers on their torsos.

Yellow, Pink and White
The minifigures all come entirely built on set 70841, based on the Lego Movie: the Benny’s Space Squad (Benny himself doesn’t count as a Classic Spaceman)
Blue
The blue Classic Spaceman has to be made separately because Benny doesn’t count as a Classic Spaceman, because of this, we have to find another Classic Blue Spaceman, which was released between 1984 to 1988, and it comes in the 1986 set 6940: The Alien Moon Stalker
Gray
The Gray Spaceman has to be built from different parts, the torso and arms come in the Rocket Boy, in the 2017 Minifigures Series 17, the hands and legs come in various minifigures, the space helmet comes in the 1978 Castle Set, 375-2 and the air tank comes in the Set 7047, Coast Watch HQ from 2003
Black
The Black Classic Spaceman comes in full on the 2012 Vintage Minifigure Collection Vol. 2
Red
The Red Classic Spaceman comes from the 2022 Set 10497: Galaxy Explorer
Orange
The Orange Classic Spaceman surprisingly comes in full on the Hardcover Edition of the Lego Minifigure: A Visual History book from 2020, also, it is available on the hungarian version: LEGO Minifigurák: A kezdetektől napjainkig
Green
The Green Classic Spaceman comes from two sets, the 2014 EXO SUIT and the 2024 Megapolis City
Purple
The Purple Classic Spaceman consists of various elements, the hands and legs can be found in various minifigures, the torso comes from the 2022 Minifigures Series 22: Space Creature, the helmet and air tank comes from the 2023
Brown
The Brown Classic Space Minifigure comes entirely from the 2023 Minifigures Series 24
Dark Blue
The Dark Blue Classic Spaceman comes exclusively from official Lego stores Build a Minifigure, since 2024, the helmet comes from 2005 King’s Siege Tower (Set 8875), the legs come from various minifigures, and the air tank is non-existent
Light Blue
The Light Blue Classic Spaceman is kind of mysterious, his existence is unconfirmed and the only “proof” are two pictures coming from a seemingly Russian website, maybe it is a sticker or custom made brick, there were Ebay sellings on this, but they were confirmed to be stickers
Gold
The Gold Classic Spaceman is debatable, the closest we get is a keychain promotional souvenir from Birkenhead Point, Sydney, it was from 1984 and only one image exists, it’s alleged it is a Yellow Classic Spaceman, but it doesn’t look like in the photo, it’s important to notice that the minifigure lacks a space torso
I have most of that information in my original video from February 2023 (which you can see here: ruclips.net/video/Kdux13D9Rxo/видео.htmlsub_confirmation=1)
Your information on the Black one is wrong however, as the Black one in the vintage minifigure collection had a motorcycle helmet. The original one from the 80's has the classic shaped helmet and only came in these eight sets: brickset.com/sets/containing-minifig-sp003
Light Blue and Gold definitely don't exist as official Lego minifigures YET. I count official figs as ones that you can get a printed classic space torso for. sometime soon you should make or hire someone to make a cool moon expedition with all the space men.
What do you mean by a "cool moon expedition" Do you just mean build a moon landscape scene, with these guys in it?
You should make this display modular so you can remove and add rows with ease
That would make it really easy to add in new colours, but it would be VERY fragile as there would be not much holding it all together.
@@MinifigJez Add plates on the bottom off it going around the out side and down the middle like a grid formation.
Then you’d simply have to remove the plates at the bottom.

That's why it looks the way that it is. The white underneath, holds all the coloured stripes together, otherwise the display stand would fall apart.
