    You’re videos have been perfect timing. I used your video to install my down pipe last week, and I am also about to do the HPFP upgrade. Good stuff man👍🏻

    I know this isnt a video of the tdi, but i was wondering what year your tdi is. I'm getting a tdi 2011 jetta soon and want to build it similar to yours. Why is because I wanted to see if some of the mods you did would be compatable with the specific motor in the Jetta tdi. Also where did you buy your turbo?

      Mine was a 2011, it usually just comes down to engine code (mine was CJAA)

    So this replace a full HPFP costing twice the price of this piston upgrade if you want to go stage 2+ ? I got a golf 6r stage 1 atm, at 320hp, and to get closer to 400, i need HPFP, lower pump and intercooler. the HPFP cost 2x the price of this piston upgrade so i'm not sure on what's best

      Some companies sell a full HPFP with the piston done - the insert is typically all you need to do for the fuel system until you do a much larger turbo - some people just don’t want to do the insert on their own due to the risk of getting it wrong, but an entire HPFP replacement is not necessary

      @@ThatGuyTyy This is very helpful information as it drastically reduce the cost of this part. I appreciate the answer a lot. I'm going to follow your build closely :)

    Nice how-to. What made you go with 034 over Integrated Engineering?

    • @ThatGuyTyy
      @ThatGuyTyy  5 месяцев назад +1

      They are all the same thing. You can read about the physical dimensions online, some will say theirs has slightly fractional differences, but they basically make no difference if you have a well optimized tune

    • @bangarng
      @bangarng 5 месяцев назад

      That's my consensus@@ThatGuyTyy. Some say 41% increase, others 50% or up to 50% etc. but from what I've gathered your canned tuned is static and will only use what it needs, instead of adjusting to the extra values you might get with a certain brand. I could be wrong though.

    • @ThatGuyTyy
      @ThatGuyTyy  5 месяцев назад +1

      @bangarng yeah that’s entirely possible; I would honestly just stick with whatever if you aren’t getting a custom tune with a big turbo, and in that case, your tuner should recommend a certain one

    How much power do you think the engine can handle on stock internals ?

    • @ThatGuyTyy
      @ThatGuyTyy  10 месяцев назад

      I would assume probably around 450

      @@ThatGuyTyy Thanks from your video. In TTS the original fuel pump can handle about 325-350HP @high rpms. So I think upgrading a fuel pump should be first thing to do.

      @@ThatGuyTyy I've seen UK videos explaining that the internals are good to about 400hp on this version of the 2.0TFSI.

    Pull your fuel pump relay then run it till it dies . Saves the mess and empties the fuel.
