years and years ago, a long-deceased buddy of mine and I used to play and sing this anthem to our own kingdom as we drove a winding, rocky backroad up to our own deer camp 'kingdom' in our drunken stupor. Somehow, being young and bulletproof, we always made the trip safe and sound. I wish I could be there again with my buddies, enjoying ourselves and living on the edge. We always wondered why Icehouse was not more appreciated as a band. Great music.

Michael Paynter is a great singer and musician. I saw him one time at the Melbourne Zoo many years ago when he was a solo artist. He has made a wise decision by being in Iva’s band.
Rod Walpole oh they exist alright! I saw them last night. Mind blowing performance. It well exceeded my expectations, even having seen these videos. Different, interesting instruments (when was the last time you saw a clarinet at a rock concert? Combined with Michael’s voice, it was a jaw dropper), great interaction with the crowd and stellar songs. New lifelong fan here. Hadn’t followed them since primary school otherwise... Electric blue was the first song I ever danced to with a boy at my first disco 😆

@@Tonisuperfly more likely to be oboe than clarinet. Iva is a classically trained oboist. He played the bagpipes, too, before the oboe.
