    I used too think this show was so cool as a kid. I was super impressed by the animatronics of the robot in 1999 (I think I was 6-7?) and even compared to todays ride standards this is pretty impressive. - Anyone else think it would be a nice idea to bring the show back some how as a tribute to Robin Williams?
    Rest In Peace Robin Williams.

      Same! Also, I hate how he butchers the Japanese language at the end. "Arigato gozaimaster?" It's "Arigato gozaimass."

    I unfourtunley never got to experience this attraction when it was open and if I did then I was too young to remember, but I gotta say that this show had some really impressive animatronics for an attraction made in the 90s, especially the 9 eye animatronic. I also wish that disney would bring this show back to honor the death of robin williams like they did with captain eo when micheal jackson died, but it's been over 2 years since we lost robin williams so I'm afraid it's never gonna happen at this point :(

    • @blairhischuck9429
      @blairhischuck9429 8 лет назад +2

      I wish they would bring it back too, but it won't happen. The space where this was is being used by a completely different show and it doesn't have the Circle-Vision screens anymore. The reason they brought back Captain Eo was because they could do it easily, and no one cared for Honey I Shrunk the Audience

      I'm not trying to turn Robin William's tragic death into anything positive, but I could foresee this attraction coming back in the near future as a tribute to him, similar to how Disney brought back Captain EO in tribute to Michael Jackson.

    I wish they had never ever closed down the Timekeeper attraction that used to be in the Tomorrowland area in the Magic Kingdom park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando in Florida on February 26th of 2006 in the first place from the start to begin with to replace it for the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. They should've still kept the Timekeeper attraction opened to this very exact day as a tribute in memory of Robin William who died on August 11th of 2014.

    I have been racking my brain for YEARS trying to remember this ride. I was about 8 years old when I got on this ride, but I was so afraid of robots that I cried through the entire opening, so it was all very vague. When I went back for my 16th birthday, I planned on facing my fears and going back on, but it was replaced. I could remember exactly where it was, I even ran up to the building just to be encountered with Monster’s Inc, just not the name. THANK YOU so much for this video! This is the only thing that I can remember from that entire day at Disney, and I was beginning to think I made it up since no one knew what I was talking about.

    Disney should unleash an "Interactive Film" called the Timekeeper (it will be a 360 film)
    Differences -
    1. It will be CGI
    2. It will be extended to 30 Minutes with new sequences
    3. The new sequences will have an unknown voice actor voice the Timekeeper
    4. The old sequences will still have Robin Williams voice the Timekeeper
    5. Nine Eye's Circlevision screens will be HD and 16:9 fullscreen

This was originally in Disneyland Paris in 1992 in Discoveryland and fitted perfectly with all the steampunk style and Jules Verne themed space mountain. Unfortunately they’ve changed everything to Star Wars style which doesn’t match any of the decor and this attraction is now Buzz light year Astro blast.

    Having Robin Williams star as the Timekeeper robot, the attraction was fine for the time at which it existed, but after the September 11 attacks, it became dated since it showed New York City with the now-destroyed Twin Towers present. The Timekeeper deserved its retirement, and Disney made the right decision in retiring it.
