A little late on this but for everyone trying to get crowns before wilds comes out, you can select “return from quest” after hunting the monster you specifically need , and you still get to keep the crown if u were lucky enough to run into one.
@@CrIs-eu6rs Thanks for asking! I decided to take it slow and so I do about 3-4 hunts a day so I don't burn out. Also I went for MH Rise first, right now I'm sitting at 53 achievements in Rise and 49 in World. I didn't do easy ones yet, at this moment I'm just grinding for "Record of Utmost Valor - Master: Clear all Master Rank Quests, including those that will unlock upon reaching MR 100."
I actually really enjoy the side activity achievements like the Endemic Life, Lynian Research, and Treasure Hunts! I love when games have side activities that aren't connected to the main gameplay loop, and all of those I just did passively on my regular playthrough. Whenever map conditions were right I'd stop by an endemic life spawn area on my way to the monster, and I love solving puzzles so the Treasure Tips were fun too! (Except actually getting the Tips, Pawswap is kinda ass I agree). I do wish more achievements were tied to the main gameplay also though. They could've easily condensed all the Endemic Life achievements into "Catch all Fish", "Catch all Endemic Life", and "Catch all Endemic Life in Master Rank" and given us some for things like getting all Canteen ingredients or getting the Rainbow armor pigment. The crown achievements are definitely awful though and those are the last ones I still have to hunt myself, but honestly I hated the 50 Arena Quest achievement more than any other, its so tedious and nonrewarding.
The crowns. Every other trophy is easy (I found them easy, usually I tried doing them during quests 50mins and hunts once you had them down took less than 30mins so I had time to roam around) but the crowns...damn Namielle, Gold Rathian and Balck Diablos. They added some quests for rising the chances of getting crowns for some monsters but I got those before those quests
I have 2800+ hours in this game and I had to use mods to get the crown achievement. The RNG is ridiculous, I've seen players with far less time in this game get these achievements easily while others with more time than me still struggle with it. A lot of elitist pricks in the toxic side Monster Hunter community who were apparently blessed by RNJesus will frown upon the use of mods for such an "easy" achievement but as far as I'm concerned, if it doesn't affect other players, you do you, achievements are not pvp based and don't give you an advantage over other players or the game itself. Just have fun. Btw, the RNG was so bad for some people, they thought Attack Jewel+ 4 didn't exist.
Took me 1200+ hours for both world and Iceborne platinum, I had really bad rng with crowns. But as hard as it was and how crazy it drove me. Looking back, I miss it, lol. Love this game and love that I have the platinums 😃 Kirin, Teostra and Lunastra were definitely the hardest. Especially kirin, killed nearly 200 of them and left over 300 other quests before i finally got both crown sizes
The only parts of the game I don’t like is crown farming and paw swapping. The endemic life mechanic is my fav part of world/iceborne and I went as far as to have at least one of every life form as well as getting the maximum amount of each rare one that my house could possibly hold, including one of each type of moly and I pray it comes back in wilds
0:30 It was worth the effort, getting all the treasure, takeing all the photos, ahh thouse daam cats, every single monster i slayed just to see that its not good enough and the Final strech facing just that one god awful monster the 1000th time u now evere move whene it attacks how it attacks and all of That just to finally hear this sweet sound of salvation. Thats is what it takes. For anyone daring enough to attempt Platinum in Monster Hunter World, gather as much help as you can muster. You'll need it to conquer the challenges that lie ahead.
I understand why people give up on the platinum but I can tell you that hunting crowns is amazing, specially in WORLD. It is hillarious to see the small sises and inspiring to see the large ones, it just sucks that RNG is so low ideally you would play the game normally and get the crowns along the game play. Riss/Sunbreak tried to aleaviate this by adding in game and event quest with more garanted crowns, also the sise variety is a lot lower than WORL. Back in WORLD each monster had more than 30+ sise gages and only the 3 small and 3 large would give you a crown, in Rise you compare the monster sizing and you can tell right away the smalls are not as small and like wise for big crowns.
I loved it for the time I did it initially. It only got painful when I applied my completionist brain to it. I could've paced myself over time but fell into a bad state of mind. I 100% plan on returning to World and getting the achievements legitimately. I won't chase treasures or anything like that. I only plan on doing the crowns I modded.
Fun fact the older games also had their own form of achievements, and nope they aren't worth it. Aside from titles there's no real reward for 100% a monster hunter game. This is a rich RNG game, so there's so much to chance that it can be a huge grind to achieve anything. Simply put U should only play a monster hunter game until you're satisfied or ready to move onto your next game.
good thing i didn't 100% the monster hunter world, instead i did the basics as you said. to me it had a little larger challenge of insect glaive, cause it doesn't have 1 but 2 seperate family trees, one for the blade and the other for the kinsect, you get the idea what i did. i left the game and move on to the other , i may have not get the blue medal, but i'm proud i had those memories of the game, truly a masterpiece.
I just started MR on my 4th playthrough allready (yes a created a second Steam acc only for this).... i am adicted and i had achievements in the back of my mind always...cant even tell how often my brain went "need to look into the achievs" when one of them pooped up randomly down in the corner, thanks for this video part, you saved me the trouble, i rather go for 5th story time than this ***
I did the 100% on PlayStation mostly because I had completed literally everything else and there was nothing left to do but crown hunt. The character I completed it with had around 1200 hours.
I love gettting the crowns as they're meant to be hard to get, I got them all in MHW, MHR and now working on the older games MHFU, 3U, 4U & GU! MHW took me around 250 hours for all the crowns and rise took around 100 hours. For the pc games, just get an overlay, you can see before you even hunt anything if its a gold crown or not!
I completely understand why they're hated. However I disagree on them being "awful". Don't get me wrong some of them REALLY test your sanity. It actually requires only 2 things: Patience and Time. I can tell you in most, if not all cases they are not worth it. But the feeling of success and completion I get is really all that I need. And it also makes you realize just how much detail and thought went into this game. Even 6 years later I still find more and more details
to this day the best 100% i did was elden ring. with the exception of the other endings, i did all just by exploring the game. i was having so much fun that i just got all the ashes, i got all the legendary weapons and spells
I'm currently doing Risebreak Achievements and want to punch who the hell made the "Hunt 1000 Master Rank Monsters" one. Aside from that, at least it doesn't have as much RNG as Worldborne, even the crowns have a better spawn rate.
4:00 That's incorrect, each time you return from a quest/expedition it advances the time, so you can just go into an expedition and leave a couple times and then itll be nighttime/daytime etc
I did both Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter World Iceborne, got all trophies (am on Playstation), got every endemic life there is (fuck flowering cactuar cutting and all great fish), got all room customizations etc and i can whole heartedly say: do it only if you love it, otherwise keep your distance 😂 Also there are no mods for measuring on playstation...
You're probably in the minority that dislike hunting for endemic life. Heck, it's one of the things that people want to be included in Wilds. Based from your statements, you'll probably enjoy a Rise/Sunbreak type of MH rather than a living breathing World/Iceborne type. Also, trophies are optional and can easily be ignored unless you want to have other goals aside from the in-game ones. So if you feel that the trophies are too tedious, just don't try to get it.
Just cause it's called "Monster Hunter" doesn't mean it's ALL about that, catching Endemic Life is fun, and it's EASY if you just look out for them while doing other things, this applies to most things in World honestly. (Treasure Hunting is piss easy, btw)
Crown chasing should be from the start of the game. With more or less pursue. Well it s like most monhun really. Events facilitate the chase tho. I never fully succeed a crown hunt in any myself meaning i never had my guild card full.
7:20 2 Hours for one Crown? Look thats part of the Gameplay loop, and Monster Hunter is a Game whats suppose to be played over a long time. Some of this Archivements like the rare Pets are awefull yes, but that bit isnt that bad. I enjoyed Crown Hunting, and I think I got all my Crowns.
Oh boy being a console player who 100% worldborne 4x just makes me wanna laugh at this guy cuz it didn’t take as long as he claims and isn’t near as annoying as he claims it is Instead I sitting around for 7 hours waiting on something to spawn just go play some hunts to pass the time legit it makes time go by so much faster than sitting like a bump on a log And in doing so crowns come along faster cuz your hunting more instead of sitting around Arena quest don’t do them all together at once do them on occasion as a warmup and that achievement will get done over time Everything he did In This video going for these achievements just avoid doing yourself

I'm cursed with perfectionism and completionism, so sadly your kind words of advice won't stop me from hurting myself mentally

Good Luck Hunter ‼️
Only one u need to focus on is crown and endemic life
