I feel like this was made for me. I just beat Alatreon solo on Christmas eve, and now working to get health regen on my Alatreon Morphblade in preparation for Fatalis.
Fatalis fight is so simple yet so memorable. You drop to the arena and start the fight with him. No bullshit gimmick, just you (and your buddies) and Him.. straight up!!! The music is fuckin amazing 🔥🔥🔥
I used the insect glaive to solo fatalis, the best i can say there is just keep your buffs up, which you should do if you're using insect glaive. If you have white buff and are in a bad position when he cones and can't get to cover, you'll be able to jump over the cone. do heavily recommend getting to MR100 though, there's no rush to get to Fatty otherwise you'll just need to learn The Fat and what skills are best for your weapon
I have spent almost 700 hours for 3 separate playthroughs but I have yet to beat Alatreon and Fatalis. Your video showed me hope. Gonna search through your channel and see if you have a few on Alatreon.
I have my first Alatreon win on my channel, as well as Alatreon fights in the 5 Hunt Challenge with Gunlance and Dual Blades, but I haven't done any other guide-like videos yet
Very nice run! I think a good skill to have in a GS build against Fatalis is the critical draw. You only have time to do a couple of TCS so it's easier to go from unsheathed to an attack or charged attack here and there. I'm no GS main tho, it's just a thought
That is a good point! Personally I opt for 100% crit on everything as it's not too difficult to achieve with this kind of gear, and allows you to really capitalise on those downs and ballista binders. You also have some good openings when he goes for his cone and, on Phase 3, triple charged fireballs where you can focus his chest for a good amount of time.
Very good vid, 1 tip though. Usually you will have enough time to use the roaming balista twice throughout the fight. So use it asap. Also if the roaming balista doesnt knock him down, you can use the normal balista bolts to finish him off
1 thing though, you should teach newer players that they should prioritize Fatalis when he’s up on 2 legs to bait out the Cone fire attack. Other than that, good video
I never expected Rai to make a Fatty Tutorial.. Oh and the one where you forgor what button to press to close the gate? Yea remember that.. I burned that day.. also now you have broken his head and chest with a rock.. now onto the wings!
I killed Fatty first time almost a year ago. Killed him and modded versions 15 times in last 2 days... Somehow didn't realize you can flinchshot him out of the air...
I played alot of fatalis with ls but when I started from 1 with gs speedrun my way through and was 3 piece alatreon and 2 piece velk then alatreon gs, I beat fatalis at 29'34 just few seconds left and it would be my 44th attempts
@@vizerix1132 Similar decos, but you can replace Focus with something else - Speed Eating can be a good comfy skill and makes Mega Potions way more efficient, especially with Recovery Up. Hammer is actually my favourite weapon to fight Fatalis with, because you can get a lot of Clutch Claw follow-ups on his head after a LV 2 or LV 3 charged smash. Tons of fun!
When fatty about to do the left to right fire breath at 11:16 you can get close to his chest and do a Tcs if you use rocks , it’s a 100% guarantee that it can hit the head just got get close fast
agitator charm and health gen require MR100, MR100 helpers very likely has 2 fatalis parts already. I recommend using lunastra set for tool specialist 5, plus fire and iron steady mantle. There is only 15 second window which a player can get 1 shot by the boss wearing those 2 mantles 1 after the other.
The greatsword is not exactly the easiest weapon when it comes to hunting Fatalis though. It requires very good timing and positioning, specially if you plan on hitting the head. Which, if you're new to the fight, you're not going to have. Let's be honest, there is no easy or simple strat on Fatalis. Even the ZSD spam strat, which is the actual simplest way to do it, requires some skill. It's a nice build for GS though, but nothing is "easy" with Fatalis until you learn to "dance" with it.
I'm not great with GS but it's my number one pick for this fight next to hammer. Even without cheesing for cones it's easy to snipe his head with a max level one charge. You just have to find the right spot and have a game plan for each phase.
That can definitely be one way to do it. Defensive skills are definitely important so you can last long enough to get a good feel of the fight, but it really helped me when I stopped being afraid to cart and started going on the offensive more often, since you get the experience of actually fighting him and not just running around waiting for a gauranteed opening all the time
Unless you're actually quite good at the game, having no defensive skills has a good chance of making you deal less damage/making you fail the quest more. Obviously, you don't need them if you just dodge everything, but that's a bit unreasonable to ask of the average player trying to get their first kill(s).
ah and another one copying my build it has been ages since i developed and spread that set onto all across xbox players who struggel with fatalis however i would personally use the kulve taroth beta greaves and kaiser vambraces beta so you get crit boost instead of agitator and also one more point in weakness exploit, so the more difficult decorations are compromised from the armor you dont need agitator or attack boost, critical eye, critical boost and weakness exploit are the only offensive skills that need to be maxed out 6800+ hours veteran talking here
Glad to see we think alike then. I actually never Googled any builds when I first went for Fatalis and decided that Gold Rath was probably a good combination, and I also used Taroth greaves then too. It's not exactly the hardest build to come up with against the endgame boss who hits like a truck and uses fire :P Though here I just used Brachy greaves in case someone doesn't have Kulve available to them at the time, since they're still really good.
@@Enigmatic_Soldier I'm an xbox player and I don't even know who you are and yet you're the one who developed the gold rath and raging brachy combination. Wow! Very nice NO CHEESE guide Rai. Perfect for those who just started their Fatty journey. Great job and great vid!
Helping lactose-intolorent people take down Fatalis, one at a time! LMAO
Thank you very much!

My whole Fatalis experience is just getting relentlessly dunked on. He is the monster that made me put down MHW for good
Nice, looking forward to a nice cup of coffee and watching This when I get back in town from the holidays!

This was one of the less clean fight I saw on YT and tbh I loved it, with commentary and some hiccups but you did it ! Good video
Cheers! I wanted to show a more realistic fight for the average player like myself, where many mistakes are bound to happen lol

Any time, Sir Morgan! And I hope you had a good Christmas as well!
Thx dude your guide really help, jump extend is really help, you show me that even noob like me can solo fatalis😅😅

perfect timing!! :D
Crazily so!
By the way you can only tank the three last novas if you've broken atleast one horn.
i ended up doing fatalis originally using barioth armor and the guild palace hammer 😵💫
Oh my god XD Massive props for that, that is insane

Isn't fatalis fire mostly physical, thus making fireproof mantle kind of weak?
True. I still like to bring it for a bit of extra protection and the easy Destroyer slots, though Glider mantle can be another alternative

Best tip really is to ditch the defensive and go all out on the offensive while learning every move and dodging them

"maybe im going little bit overkill with the evade extender but who cares" you can NEVER go overkill with dmg or dodge xD
Just cone bait him. It requires very little effort and is beyond easy due to it’s ai. Works with any weapon as well.
are you sure this is simple?
