Can I Learn the GUNLANCE in Just 5 Hunts? (FIRST TIME in MHW)

1,300+ Hour Greatsword Main attempts to learn Gunlance for the first time EVER in Monster Hunter World, taking on 5 different, viewer-chosen hunts in an attempt to learn a brand new weapon and become the Gunlance Master he had always dreamt of being. Would Rurikhan ACTUALLY be proud?
I've only ever tried to use Gunlance in Monster Hunter Rise before. This is my first ever experience with it in MHW.

Weapon tips, Gunlance edition:
1. If you need to chase the monster back hop towards it because the back hops can go further if you hold back on the left stick.
2. It's usually better to dodge attacks than to block with the Gunlance because, unlike the Lance, it has no follow-ups as you've noticed. This unfortunately does require investment in the evasion skills to do it consistently.
All in all you did very good! Massive props for managing to kill Alatreon because that's definitely a tough matchup.

Ive never seen anyone else try gunlance with alatreon. I love joining random alatreon lobbies and watch peoples jaw drop as i mess the elemntal boy up
