Monster Hunter World is the picture perfect example of how to release a game, an expansion, and additional content. Beyond the expansion, I paid ZERO dollars in microtransactions because they make everything available in-game in the form of hunts, events, etc. A historical masterpiece that Capcom should be so damn proud of.
It seems that Capcom is one of the few publishers that is not completely dumb. Their choices for their games makes them beloved and a lot of money. I am not the biggest fan of Rise but they used the same publishing concept for the game.

If your not limiting yourself to any particular weapons or attached I’ve found luck against alatreon with frostcraft elemental long sword, granted I’m using AT velk armour as it’s very good against alatreon when he starts in fire such as in the special assignment for fatty. FF barioth LS is pretty much best for ice element. As for beating at velk insect glave is very good, and for fatty if ya wanna cheese him a bit, swax spamming his head with clutch claw zero sum. Now to say you can’t beat any of them without this is beyond far from truth, just the easiest options from experience along with pretty good for farming them as well. OH for alatreon good elemental LBG is also very strong, haven’t tried it personally but a friend used it and annihilated alatreon when I couldn’t solo him. That’s about the gist I can give apart from taking time and learning the hunt. I play on Xbox and am happy to help any of you if you want some assistance
Picked it up in the steam sale and damn have I been missing out - never touched MH before, but it has been so freaking fun. Absolutely deserves the resurgence.

Only game I have over 1000 hours on my playstation. It was my first MH and now I'm a huge fan. Wilds is the only game I'm actually hyped for for the next 2 years, but I got a good backlog until then
FACTS dude, 2020 lockdown period was absolutely peak mhw imo. Safi coming out (which i grinded a stupid amount), alatreon who was kinda mid overall to me, but then big boy fatalis in october. Fighting fatalis the first week of release was genuinely one of my favorite gaming moments ever, and i have played a shit load of games. Constantly full lobbies all dedicated to the fade to black quest, going into the mission knowing damn well my teammates wouldn't focus the head and we'd inevitably die to blue flame mode lmfao. Such a fun experience, i wish i had that same experience with rise but it just didn't hit the same.
@@timklafke4712 Safi was peak fun and Fatty was peak sweat 😅 Such an incredible game. It's also really nice to revisit once in a while now on PS5 as the performance upgrade over PS4 is massive and it runs flawlessly with much reduced load times.
I just installed last night. I’m rocking the Defender Hammer and I’m currently about to go help set up a camp/do an expedition? So far it’s really fun! The Hammer is stunning everything!
if i can give you an advice, it would be to avoid the defender gear. It's made for people that want to catch up to Iceborne ASAP so you won't need new gear for the entirety of Vanilla. Try and progress how you would usually and you will learn the game muche better this way😁
I saw the "Return to World" on Steam, so I started a new character for World. But then I figured maybe I should actually play more than the first few quests in Rise, so I've been trying to stick with that one.
A couple weeks ago I got the last achivement. That crown hunt almost burned me out several times. If you ever try to do all achivements, prepare for an insane grind.
@@MrWhoopwhoop10 Iceborn took me way longer than base world. The treasure hunts are insane grindy and the new rare endemic life are also very rare. The new Monsters are harder to beat too.
@@MrWhoopwhoop10 doin crown hunts only based of investigations is really time consuming. The best way is event quests and all other Monsters in guiding lands as tempered version. If you do this, then the only monster who have to be farmed through investigations is deviljho. And let me tell you. He is a d*ck! Not only are investigations for him super rare, his spawn rate is also really low. He was the one who gave me the most headaches.
dont forget its available for a REALLY good price right now something in the region of £16 for both MHW and Iceborne DLC , i promise you, as a new player to MH games when this first launched, it was one of my favourite gaming experiences ever ! I will revisit it myself as i havent played it since before iceborne came out so i have a lot of new content to discover !
Iceborne was great I played every day for a while and stopped to play other games, then when a new update hit played again until a while after the final update of fatalis. I have about 1300 hours on PC and played world for a good 300-400 hours at launch on PS4. Safe to say I loved world I even did all the low rank and high rank quests for rainbow pigment, which oddly enough isn’t even in rise.
My friend thats a competitive gamer bought it before and said its boring because he was playing solo. Consiering how ez it is now to multiplayer better than before, i guide him partially while we both explored the world together and have fun. It was his first MH game, while its my MH after MH3. Alot of culture shock everywhere ahaha. And now he is easily among the great MH plyaer there is and played ALL weapons. To the point he actually solo-ed fatalis with ALL weapon!
I've been having so much fun running a super powerful support build and just helping SOS beacons. I intentionally avoid doing DPS. Figure it's more fun for newer players to lead the fight themselves and have someone keeping them alive than it is for me to just wipe the floor with some meta build.
I'm doing exactly the same :D even got invited to some discord servers lol I'm a GS main with zero skills on other weapons so sometimes I do dps when I feel like it is epic lol
@@murillokbbbb hell yeah! I'm mostly running S&S, but hop between LBG and GS too. Keeps it feeling fresh on my end. Think I might run CB for a bit. I never got good at the weapon, so this would probably be a great way to practice.
jan 1 hit, and i for somereason said "i want to play MHW" turns out literally everyone else is in the same boat. i hadnt even heard of monster hunter wilds
I return to it for multiple reasons but mostly cuz it feels more atmospheric to me the transition between day and night before, during and after a hunt not to mention that the scout flies made it more interesting to gather tracks and researching em to get more info was great cuz it made you feel you were hunting a monster and it wasn't just another boss fight
I liked Rise don't get me wrong. I'm not usually a big graphics nut or anything like that, but going from the dense, lush, vibrant and alive landscapes of World, to a more muted emptier Rise was a tough transition for me. A fantastic game for sure, but it doesn't capture that feeling of being thrust into a land untapped by man as much as World does. Playing through the game again with a group of 4 is the best thing you can do, so fantastic.
i got started with rise and went into worlds after finishing rise and i have to say the graphics, mosnters and the environment in worlds is much better (i dont know if MHs do have any story but rise did not have any) but the gameplay and smoothness in Rise was on another level compared to world and i simply could not play it more that a couple of hours (tho i will pick it up after finishing sunbreak) (i only played long sword in both games and my argument might not be true for other weapons)@@TeraRyza
Somehow i still prefer GU over rise. I know rise is an upgrade version of GU but the lack of content in rise made GU as my number 1 monster Hunter game
@@cleverm5516yeah rise feels more smooth but i guarantee you Worlds atmosphere us way more better. You will never found any monsters in rise that can 4 carted you with one move. Even until now behemoth still give me that ptsd

I played MHW release on console pre-iceborne, beat it and all the HR content, stopped before Iceborne and didn't end up buying it. Then recently I had an uncontrollable urge to play MHW on my new PC and ended up buying Iceborne for it, this huge resurgence of players to the game was weirdly convenient and I've been a whole lot of fun with it again and even changed mains from Longsword to SnS despite all the new Iceborne moves for LS lol
Exactly the same with me, i was just watching Asmon stream and it made me want to play it again. bought iceborne a played for 10hrs in a day =D I just changed from insect glaive to longsword.
Started on mh3u. I heard about world so i saved for a ps4 since i never planned on owning one. Best decision ever. I was a day one and played pretty much into the covid lockdown. Then i stopped around 900ish hours. Im a PC player now so i was waiting for it to go on sale again . Got it recently and have enjoyed.
I picked it up on launch and played it for 30 hours. Loved it alot but other games took my interest at the time. I'm ready to dive back in and go trough it again and tackle the Iceborne DLC now :)
This was my first Monster Hunter game that i played and i really enjoyed it. The only thjng, i played it alone, didn’t had any friends to play with so it got pretty boring for me with time. Still didn’t finished it, so i might get back into it since i got it on my PS5 now.
ITS ALSO 20 FREAKIN DOLLARS FOR ALL OF IT RIGHT NOW AS OF THIS COMMENT *found your channel when looking for new builds to help my friends out that are coming in, keep it up!*
For me it popped up because over the holidays iceborne went on sale and Monster Hunter Now got me hooked too. Am I the only one who got back to MHW: IB because of the Niantic Mobile version?
Now if only there was cross play can you imagine the numbers. I REALLY hope wilds has cross play. I've always wanted to play world back when it came out I finally got around to it now about 5 months ago before wilds announcement and I love this game. After this I do plan on playing rise and dragon dogma arisen. Couldn't be more excited for wilds and dragon dogma 2.
I'm a hunter that never seems to stop any of the games. A bit less in 3u but juggling which game I play from mh series. 6 months ago I made a new start in 4u because I love that game, and I prefer the old huntinghorn. But I do most frequently play mh world & rise. Two different friends groups who like either or game more so yeah. It does result with accidental "oh that's right I cant-" moments with muscle memory going off the last game I play when going into the other. It causes me to also not wirebug often, or clutchclaw when solo playing. But I love this series. My friends now have introduced their friends into mh and we're showing them the ropes as veterans do. I made it a reminder not to carry them, but teach. I did a bad mistake as a toot toot bonk main and my songs/buffs accidentally carried my friend. He never healed, sharpened, or worried about Stamina because usually I had it covered in one way or another. When I decided to just spin a wheel for my weapons [something I've loved doing since SoHellKite's videos on them] I immediately noticed frustration and many mistakes from my friend who mailed duel blades. .... my suspicions were correct. So we had to RE-teach him. Reminding him that it was okay to back off and heal; which was a veterans words to me when I was a greenhorn, same with not being too greedy & watch the monster's movements. To sharpen when his blades get dull, etc, etc. Thankfully we corrected the mistakes, so he's also advised not carrying because hitting a hard wall like he did when I didn't use horn almost made him quit due to just how much harder things were for him. So while I use horn every now or then, it's mostly on grinding material runs after our newer hunters have officially learned how to maintain and protect themselves first. I'll never forget that veteran in Tri, helping me with great jaggi. I could beat quropeco in the menu arena but was just dumb with the other monsters. He had diablos head gear, chest, and arm braces, can't remember the pants or waste, but a diablos great sword as well. He took me on a great jaggi hunt, took aside to watch me hunt. Then advised against mistakes I was doing. "You're being too greedy." "It's okay to back off and heal." Etc. When he noticed I was improving and learning from his lessons he then got his sword and fucking double tapped that jaggi. I only carved once because I thought we had to share the carves and he deserved more of the loot. It was a great jaggi Claw. After the hunt he asked if I carved all three times, then I assumed facepalmed when I answered. He politely corrected me while laughing his ass off and calling me a dumbazz. For censor. So fresh are those memories still. I just can't recall his username, and that makes me so sad. I'd love to find or reach out somehow to thank that stranger. Instead I've done as he as, and when I became a veteran I in return have helped many greenhorn rookies since 4u. To all those willing to read this, thank you. Feel free to share back memories of learning or helping others too! I'd love to hear them! And welcome any newcomers!
Price, simple answer. It's $25.00 for the complete bundle. Coupled with the trailer for Wilds and it's a winning business strategy by Capcom. Any other explanation is a strawman at this point.
For all the people playing world and its your first time playing a monster hunter game and you want more and can deal with not as good graphics go play generations its amazing and has so many monsters!
Just bought the game and the dlc this year on christmas sale even when the game was launch way back in 2018. Damn, I've missed out on what could've been the best years of my gaming life.
I was watching my friend play this game who then asked me to try this game and forced his other 2 friends to play this game . Next thing I know all of us are 80hrs in now having dealt with Xeno jiva and preparing for Iceborne now , I never had this much fun in a game with my friends
@@TeraRyza Yo reply from the man himself !! One of my best moments apart from beating xeno with my friends was the turf wars . We went to hunt the B-2 but pickle showed up and went full WWE on him , It was a sight to behold
Im a semi new player ive had the game for a while but the lack of a friend group and just lack of newer players i just felt like i missed out now getting back into it ive found someone to hand with. Ive gotten further then ever and have improved so much really loving the game cant wait to dive into rise and later wilds
I always wanted to get into the MH series through World but was never in the position to buy it till Christmas. I gotta say it's a good time but I do feel lost with the huge upgrade tree and massive maps. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up Wilds and have a blast
You get used to it. MHW was my first and it was extremely overwhelming. But after a while you sink into it like a comfy bed and love every bit of the complexity. It's what makes you come back.
ancient forest is an evil first area i will admit. Took me forever to finally stop getting lost there constantly. All the other maps I don't feel are too bad tbh, especially with the minimap. Actually maybe rotten vale too, i seem to remember the verticality being somewhat confusing at first. Also suggestions for upgrade trees: For armor, i'd say generally low and high rank sets just focus mainly on defense and if you want to go a bit further, you can look at what skills each set has and if they cater toward your weapon/playstyle. Going by skills does make things a bit more complicated to determine though, personally i went through all of low and high rank initially just based off armor defense stats lol. For weapon trees it's kinda hard to say since i don't know which weapon you use rn. For simply running through the game (i've done the same in world and rise) i like to run non elemental builds because they're much simpler to build and require less extra build additions (like decos and armor skills). Basically just any weapon that doesn't have the extra element damage in its preview screen. A lot of times with element weapons you wanna have ones for each element since some monsters are strong to the element you have and vice versa. I tried going elemental for insect glaive when i first started world and it is absolutely not worth the hassle lol, until you hit endgame for some weapons like bow.
I cant see myself returning to the game again personally, as I accomplished everything I wanted - platinum the game, MR999 and HR999, 3k hours played. The only thing I wish for Wilds is that they ditch the RNG decorations from MHW, that was easily its biggest flaw compared to other MH games especially sunbreak. The rest of the game was amazing, and easily one of my favourite games ever made.
I’m not a returning player but a first time player, currently on the tigrex quest, and I can honestly say this game is a 10/10, base game is like an 8 but iceborne is so damn good it makes it easily a 10/10. But aside from that even with how good this game is it could be even better, there is still so much to improve on, this makes me hyped for wilds, kinda weird that I finally decided to play this game like a month ago and it pops off, well worth the time I’ve spent on it
I came back because i accompanying my friend. He's streaming and have an idea to play World again from the start so we did that. Not only that, when Rise launch on PC and it have a problem for some PC including myself, i'm jokingly bought Iceborne, play it for a while but never finished it. Now i'm already finish Sunbreak, not only i'm helping my friend streaming World, i:m also continuing Iceborne while waiting for my 3 other friend buying Iceborne too
I got it not ON release, but before Iceborne was announced. I didn't have a lot of patience and after getting people to help me beat Nergigante and getting bodied by Kirin over and over; I got frustrated and dropped/traded it. I got the Iceborne edition 2 days ago and while I'm using the guardian armor, I think I've matured enough to actially know what I'm doing. (We'll see how that holds up when I get to Iceborne. 😅)
I tried this today for the first time and found this video looking for guides lol i played it all day and i can't believe that i had no idea that this existed, i just saw hype on youtube and saw 100k+ players online on steam so i bought it. I have to say, this game is soooo goood.
I returning in MHW at least once in a year. It gives unique experience and vibes. Not to mention that it's just a good complete game. Sadly i'm a solo hunter(offline player), so i'll miss this party.
I got to a point where i realized i would need to dump like 100 hours in before i could progress even a tiny bit more, trying to hunt big monsters with randoms that stand around or have no idea what to do.
One of my buddies recently saw and bought the game so I'll be downloading it as soon as I get home! Happy hunting everyone! I'm stoked to show him the ropes
@@TeraRyza It's big now for sure, thanks to MH World, but I'd still consider MH one of the most underrated franchises in video gaming history. Asmon seems to be having fun so I wouldn't be surprised if he takes it to another level.
I don’t usually fly through monster Hunter games, I take my time. I’ve been playing a lot more recently even before return to world became a thing. I got a couple big names I still need to take down. I still love this game so much.
i just love the mechanics on mhw iceborne. I Main greatsword and tried the GS on rise and it was FIRE. i love the new skills and more movements and stuff but im kinda sad that they removed the decoration mechanic and the grapples. ever since they introduced the upgraded GS on world i just fell inlove with it
It’s been years since I last played. I loaded it up and saw my character with 700 hours. I haven’t even done everything yet either. But I still started a new character. I wanted to get the full starter experience again.
Not gunna lie as a fellow greatsword enjoyer, after they announced the new game couldn't help but redownload and run a new playthrough joining in on the hype. Love this game and happy people actually decided to give it a chance. Happy hunting fellas!
I play MH since 2006 and it is my second favorite series and i think it will be always. I did return a couple of months back and collected every armor set for low and high rank and work my way through master rank now
I've been wanting to try it for awhile. I stopped gaming for 10 years and got back into it 2 years ago. Finally tried it and now my wife and i can't stop playing it
I stopped playing around when they released behemoth into game for good but i came back for a little after. I loved everything about world. The monsters, gear, weapons, builds, there was so much to it to love
MHW was my first Monster Hunter game because of my very good friend. That was one of my best experience in games and i have spent many hours on PC aswell as now playing on PS4. I really hope Wilds is going to be more like World and 2024 will be me doing 100% for World on console.
World was my first MH game. Went all the way through soloing fatalis for my forst kill of him. Currently playing rise on Xbox and I'm excited for Wilds.
I've played World almost every day since it launched. Currently doing a greatsword playthrough. I can't wait to see what Capcom are going to do for the anniversary in March 😀
I heard a lot about a new mod (called ICE or so?) that changes some gameplay loops like making CC less of a mandatory action that constantly disrupts your flow. I'm kinda curious about it myself but I dropped both Iceborne and Sunbreak a while ago and don't really feel going back to either. I recently found my love for 4U again and have a blast there. MH as a series is just greatness and everyone has a place somewhere where they can fully enjoy their time spent.
had my data corrupted like 3 times on playstation, restarted 3 times and now I bought it again on PC so im restarting again. Definitely one of the best games ever
This is my first monster hunter game i ever played, i start this week and im in absolutely love for the game, is so damn cool to play with your friends and the fights are cinematic and insane.
Im glad MH is as popular as it is today. But you guys have it so good. I was an og 2004 player on the ps2 let me tell yah it was tough we didnt get to play alot of titles until it was made into the psp titles. to be see young hunters glow with excitement makes me happy. I wish mh will continue to be popular and capture the hearts of old and new hunters alike.
I just saw everyone coming back and thought I'd come take a look around. I never really got to the end the first time. Just got distracted by other games and never made it back. But with everyone talking about it I thought I'd come back and try a light bowgun instead of the hammer.
I loaded up my old main, and my loadouts are full and chaotic, I'm so lost. I'm rerolling as we speak. Btw, shoutout to the true genetic grandfather of world, since it didnt get mentioned; Monster Hunter PS2 was a true gem and I was lucky enough in those days to have a reliable squad of badasses as friends. I had nearly as much time in that one as this one before they shut the western servers down prematurely. The handhelds and nintendos were always very different experiences, and ultimately for a different audience. As one of the lucky ones, I can tell you, the look and feel of World, and hopefully Wilds, is the heart of it for me.
I’m a World baby as a friend got me to try it on a whim after saying it’s akin to a Dark Souls boss rush. It didn’t grab me at first but I kept going and it didn’t even click with me until around 20 hours of gameplay later after beating Xeno Jiiva. I knew this was my game then. I plan to come back on a different platform after finishing every special investigation on Sunbreak. I’ll miss my 3k hour character on Xbox but PlayStation is my home now and I’ll happily do it all again.
It might be Asmon streaming it too. He watched a videos about it after hearing the news of MH6. He is playing it and a lot of his chat wants to join him on his hunts.
Bought it years ago and only redownloaded on to my series x the day before yesterday...I had an hour on it already, this time round I've literally barely turned it off! Loving it! Also a big rise fan too.
I am glad people are coming back and you have people like me who missed out on the release and it's current life span. I can't believe I slept on this game even though I knew it's good.
I came back because I never really completed content beyond iceborne, I’m trying to make a frost craft critical element switch axe build. I didn’t play much of the weapons besides the dual blades when I first played the game and I’ve recently become a huge fan of hack and slash games like DMC and MGR, heard from a DMC fan that he found the Swagaxe the most fitting for that sort of gameplay feeling and I couldn’t agree more.
I actually came back to it a week before the game awards. It was weird, just had an itch to play it again. Had it on xbox one, then 5 years later got a good gaming pc so got it on steam with iceborn expansion this time. So the replayability this time around was phenomenal. Been playing MH since the original 2004 ps2 version.
I had 600hrs logged back in 2018 on Xbox - Now on PC and about to log another 600+hrs in anticipation for the new one. I never played Icebourne so now is the perfect time!
I would love to play again but the buddy i played with is so busy with life right now i cant bring myself to continue through the Iceborne story without him :(
I never heard of it until I came in contact with World, which is a shame since it's the exact kind of game I love. I never uninstalled it but came back a few days from now and suddenly everyone has the same idea xD 90s kid here and not even once I heard of MH growing up, but thankfully I'm finishing it now ❤
I’ve been going around helping people out. Feels like I’m the only one that uses gunlance long shells playstyle. I’m kinda happy about that thought. Makes me feel more unique lol
So many games in my back log but it looks like this is the year for me to finally beat this game before wilds come and everyone goes there and i have no help again
I rejoined after learning about the expansion additions, had a 600 hour save on ps4 and decided to restart on pc. And see another 600 hour save in my future.
My only issue is that my character is already completely maxed out since the last title upgrade. Got multiples of all the rarest gems... There's really nothing left to do except grinding trophies for platinum and those are horrific rng.
I've had it in my library for a while now, just didnt have the chance to play it yet. Started last week! I come from the "nostalgic" side of things, as I used to play MHFU, so I'm obviously enjoying MHW a lot as well. I'd love to have some "Here are things you should know" type of videos for beginners, people who just started playing MHW and have little knowledge about it. For example which quests to do, should I rush the story missions, what gear and weapons to get/upgrade, what important NPCs there are, any important skills during combat, important clues, etc.
Just bought this game yesterday and for the first time since elden ring my I have to use my controllers wire while gaming. Best game i've played since ER.
I'm currently away for Christmas but I was getting back into MHW before leaving. I was about to go into HR but that'll probably wait even after I come back since I'm getting one of my friends into MHW too so I'll be helping her get into the game - maybe I'll make another character to play with her, we'll see
I didn’t play mhw for a long time because I had a grudge on that game. I played litteraly every mh there was but this one because of their release policy and the communication they had toward pc players. I was really looking into playing mhw on pc but it just took so long for it to release after the console release. And honestly after having both played mhw and mhw: iceborn, i don’t necessarily regret that. They’re definitely better than rise in most aspect but they’re pale in comparison to mh4 and mh4u. In my heart these two games will always have a special place
I am not the biggest fan of Rise but they used the same publishing concept for the game.

is it still fun offline? asking cause i do have it on ps5
MHW will always have a special place in my heart. 2018-2021 is probably my best years of gaming thanks to this game.
For real !!! Bought myself a PS4 just because of the Monster Hunter World... Best decision ever 👍👍
@@timklafke4712 Safi was peak fun and Fatty was peak sweat 😅
Such an incredible game. It's also really nice to revisit once in a while now on PS5 as the performance upgrade over PS4 is massive and it runs flawlessly with much reduced load times.
ur comment just made me realize that MHW can also stand for monster hunter wilds later lmao. maybe we will abbreviate it to mhw2 for wilds
Day 1 player too. Seeing that makes me so happy people are experiencing one of the best games ever made. Can’t wait for the sequel!
would you say it’s worth it to play offline? have no friends to play with
@@LiviaReaperit's worth to play offline, in fact i solo the game to the end, after that, i like to help random (i don't have any friend either)
@liamstrand9295 yes and you can play with randoms there so chill bro it's actually an amazing game
@@LiviaReaperthere's an sos system where randoms can join your hunts to help u out if you want
@@Shvyalt Great! Might play some tonight then as i have the iceborne version downloaded
I just installed last night. I’m rocking the Defender Hammer and I’m currently about to go help set up a camp/do an expedition? So far it’s really fun! The Hammer is stunning everything!
The defender weapons are pretty strong early on for sure haha. Hammer is a cool weapon too
if i can give you an advice, it would be to avoid the defender gear.
Rise is good too! Different vibe but plenty of time to squeeze it in before Wilds comes out!
Should probably play World while the player pool is still huge.
I am pretty sure a similar return to rise might happen closer to the release of wilds.
I'm doing that with both world and riase on my steam deck.
Play on go is so perfect I been playing it at work
@@TheDragonfriday oh nice, is it smooth on the deck? I am actually considering getting it.
i played 8 hours of world yesterday then took a break and said let me do a little catching up on my rise on pc, ended up playing for about 7 hours...
A couple weeks ago I got the last achivement. That crown hunt almost burned me out several times.
If you ever try to do all achivements, prepare for an insane grind.
Those crown hunts can be BRUTAL. Happy to hear you got it haha
Safe to say I loved world
I even did all the low rank and high rank quests for rainbow pigment, which oddly enough isn’t even in rise.
To the point he actually solo-ed fatalis with ALL weapon!
it downloading for me right now! Looking forward to it
I've been having so much fun running a super powerful support build and just helping SOS beacons. I intentionally avoid doing DPS. Figure it's more fun for newer players to lead the fight themselves and have someone keeping them alive than it is for me to just wipe the floor with some meta build.
I've been doing the same. Using a hunting horn and just buffing people and I try to help with particularly brutal assignments.
I'm doing exactly the same :D even got invited to some discord servers lol
I'm a GS main with zero skills on other weapons so sometimes I do dps when I feel like it is epic lol
@@murillokbbbb hell yeah! I'm mostly running S&S, but hop between LBG and GS too. Keeps it feeling fresh on my end. Think I might run CB for a bit. I never got good at the weapon, so this would probably be a great way to practice.
i played MHW so much. went through 2 consoles and a PC playing this game and came back in 2024 just for Wilds lol
jan 1 hit, and i for somereason said "i want to play MHW" turns out literally everyone else is in the same boat. i hadnt even heard of monster hunter wilds
Idk why but I’m loving the trend. Now it needs to happened to GU and 4U as well
Same let's keep it up for another year hahaha
Hey... MH Tri custom servers opened a long while ago and I replay it. So back to Tri kinda already happened.
If only those games was available on pc :(
GU & 4U aren't as accessible
With the 3ds server shutdown around the corner it would prob be better to just remaster for switch (please capcom)
Yeah it killed the immersion for me. World is much more grand haha
i got started with rise and went into worlds after finishing rise
and i have to say the graphics, mosnters and the environment in worlds is much better (i dont know if MHs do have any story but rise did not have any)
but the gameplay and smoothness in Rise was on another level compared to world and i simply could not play it more that a couple of hours (tho i will pick it up after finishing sunbreak)
(i only played long sword in both games and my argument might not be true for other weapons)@@TeraRyza

GS and hammer for life here lol.
Exactly the same with me, i was just watching Asmon stream and it made me want to play it again. bought iceborne a played for 10hrs in a day =D
I just changed from insect glaive to longsword.
Yeah I feel that! Sometimes I get distracted and stop playing games but not because they're bad. There's too much to play!
This was my first Monster Hunter game that i played and i really enjoyed it. The only thjng, i played it alone, didn’t had any friends to play with so it got pretty boring for me with time. Still didn’t finished it, so i might get back into it since i got it on my PS5 now.
ITS ALSO 20 FREAKIN DOLLARS FOR ALL OF IT RIGHT NOW AS OF THIS COMMENT
*found your channel when looking for new builds to help my friends out that are coming in, keep it up!*
I hope Sony will finally make cross play happen.
cross play with at least Xbox.

probably cause its an amazing game and the base game and iceborne bundle was on sale for 70% off
I'm a hunter that never seems to stop any of the games.
Any other explanation is a strawman at this point.
i'm at soloing behemoth in world, not missing much - have fun to about 3-4 years ago.
Yup, real players are done.
Asmon got me back into it, casual player here and I mostly play with mods, but love this game to bits, maybe not the grind so much though.
For all the people playing world and its your first time playing a monster hunter game and you want more and can deal with not as good graphics go play generations its amazing and has so many monsters!
Listen to this!! It's an awesome game haha
Just bought the game and the dlc this year on christmas sale even when the game was launch way back in 2018. Damn, I've missed out on what could've been the best years of my gaming life.
i bought it during the steam sale because it was only $5... just 2 hrs in and I'm insect toothpick main
I was watching my friend play this game who then asked me to try this game and forced his other 2 friends to play this game .
Next thing I know all of us are 80hrs in now having dealt with Xeno jiva and preparing for Iceborne now , I never had this much fun in a game with my friends
THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT 😤

That's awesome to hear it's working out for you! I'm a mostly solo player myself actually haha
You ll pick it up. Enjoy at your pace. Challenge yourself. It s all good
ancient forest is an evil first area i will admit.
Not everyone only mh fans that started from mhw, they never play othet title beyond rise/mhw
Preach.
I didn't even know this was happening. We just started playing it again after the announcement.
Maybe I can show some new guys the ways of the horn
I’m not a returning player but a first time player, currently on the tigrex quest, and I can honestly say this game is a 10/10, base game is like an 8 but iceborne is so damn good it makes it easily a 10/10. But aside from that even with how good this game is it could be even better, there is still so much to improve on, this makes me hyped for wilds, kinda weird that I finally decided to play this game like a month ago and it pops off, well worth the time I’ve spent on it
Youre a new player. What exactly can they improve on from your prospective? Even though you say the game is 10/10.
Iceborne's hunting horn was perfection

i just bought the game for the sole reason of a geralt armor set

As a Witcher fan I think you'll enjoy that questline!
Love mhw glad to see it doing well as it deserves
For real though. EVEN after 6 years
I came back because i accompanying my friend. He's streaming and have an idea to play World again from the start so we did that. Not only that, when Rise launch on PC and it have a problem for some PC including myself, i'm jokingly bought Iceborne, play it for a while but never finished it. Now i'm already finish Sunbreak, not only i'm helping my friend streaming World, i:m also continuing Iceborne while waiting for my 3 other friend buying Iceborne too
I want to play this game so bad but I don’t understand how to play it lol
I've started MH with world and iceborne, and loved rise and sunbreak after it, so now I play both
I got it not ON release, but before Iceborne was announced.

I don’t usually fly through monster Hunter games, I take my time. I’ve been playing a lot more recently even before return to world became a thing. I got a couple big names I still need to take down. I still love this game so much.
i just love the mechanics on mhw iceborne. I'll sharpen my hammer
Over 500 hours in, one of the best games ever created.
I do find it funny that people say the weapon hits feel so weighty, when the hitlag, hit effects, and rumble aren't what they used to be.
MH as a series is just greatness and everyone has a place somewhere where they can fully enjoy their time spent.
don't play ice if you want your fatalis armor and weap unnerf cause they nerf it.
MH4U’s just the best
had my data corrupted like 3 times on playstation, restarted 3 times and now I bought it again on PC so im restarting again. Definitely one of the best games ever
Bruh that's actually insanely bad luck. I'm so sorry but happy to hear it's not stopping you!
I saw my dad play it and then I played in middle school a few times. I haven't played it in years!
I’ll miss my 3k hour character on Xbox but PlayStation is my home now and I’ll happily do it all again.
asmon picking up World is just the cherry on top imo. hes bringing a lot of new eyes to the series
I can't believe I slept on this game even though I knew it's good.
you was probably busy playing better shit that u was enjoying and had no time for world lmao
@@symbiotex1751 I wouldn't say better, I was more of an open world kind of gamer and World not having an open world kind of turned me off.
Well tbf I think most people wanted to come back. It's why I started RUclips actually
I had 600hrs logged back in 2018 on Xbox - Now on PC and about to log another 600+hrs in anticipation for the new one. I never played Icebourne so now is the perfect time!
I would love to play again but the buddy i played with is so busy with life right now i cant bring myself to continue through the Iceborne story without him :(
Played in 2018/19. Played rise went back to mhw found it slow back to rise... feels off and now back on the grind in mhw
I never heard of it until I came in contact with World, which is a shame since it's the exact kind of game I love.
I never uninstalled it but came back a few days from now and suddenly everyone has the same idea xD
90s kid here and not even once I heard of MH growing up, but thankfully I'm finishing it now ❤
Lots of players had simply forgotten what a content rich game is like. The cash shop hypnotism is waining
Frrrrrrrr. Actually a content rich game. No BS
Bunch of my friends got it recently and it’s been really fun
I’ve been going around helping people out. Feels like I’m the only one that uses gunlance long shells playstyle.
I’m kinda happy about that thought. Makes me feel more unique lol
So many games in my back log but it looks like this is the year for me to finally beat this game before wilds come and everyone goes there and i have no help again
This game still looks good.
I literally came back to play different weapons since i haven't touched anything besides long sword
5:40 Made me chuckle, classic GS moment 😁
Like excuse me that didn't hit?!?! Made me chuckle too honestly 🤣
Just bought this game yesterday and for the first time since elden ring my I have to use my controllers wire while gaming. Best game i've played since ER.
I'm currently away for Christmas but I was getting back into MHW before leaving. I was about to go into HR but that'll probably wait even after I come back since I'm getting one of my friends into MHW too so I'll be helping her get into the game - maybe I'll make another character to play with her, we'll see
This is the kind of game where restarting is usually the way to go haha
I didn’t play mhw for a long time because I had a grudge on that game. I played litteraly every mh there was but this one because of their release policy and the communication they had toward pc players. I was really looking into playing mhw on pc but it just took so long for it to release after the console release.
And honestly after having both played mhw and mhw: iceborn, i don’t necessarily regret that. They’re definitely better than rise in most aspect but they’re pale in comparison to mh4 and mh4u. In my heart these two games will always have a special place
