Currently playing the game with a mod that fixes pretty much the jank and gameplay issues. So it was really enjoyable untill i reached Harvest Valley/Earthern Peak. This is where i stopped enjoying it even with most of the complaints about the game gone.

Really wish we had these in every game but there's one item I really wish we had an equivalent for in elden ring and that's the small soap stone. With how big the game world is it'd be nice to be able to summon temporary help that leave after like 10 mins so they get their rewards and you get some buddies to help clear a camp or mini boss or something. Is it needed? No but it would've made summoning be more fun.

Just got platinum on both base and iceborne this month. It was torture (and thats just me coming back to finishing the rest of the trophies after years of neglect) It was torture but satisfying in the end because 100% on console means you have to do it legitimately. Though, sometimes I do envy PC players for having mods just to bypass all the BS achievements. If I had the power to do it, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Edit: Forgot to mention that fortunately in Wilds, the binoculars can now show you if the monster is a gold crown.

I like 2 and dislike Bloodborne, so I am very popular.

I only just played it for the first time recently. My first souls game. Brilliant. I haven’t sunk a week into binging a game in a long while. The most annoying part of the game is the sheer amount of “where the fuck do I go next?” Questions I had to ask. I really needed to use guides, but it didn’t harm my fun too much. Just would have been good to see the game itself have information about what to do next. Anyway, on to 3 and Elden ring next!

I get it actually a good game but it gets ridiculous when you die to call damage 99% of the time you die because they placed those random divots the character falls into on the slightest hint of falling for instant death via kill zone

ds2 is bad for people run passing enemies.

BloodBorne. it not only has the best Moonlight sword, but its base form also remakes the Dragon Sword form. it LITERALLY is the most in depth remake of the original by far. it also has the second best lore, next to the original verdite trilogys lore for it. tbf the lore bit is a lottle subjective, ill be honest, while BloodBorne is one of my most favorite games ever... in the verdite trilogy its tied to dragons n'shit. by the third game, it LITERALLY is reforged with the immortal sou and will of Guyra. plus the plot twist, sworld of light is made by the demigod dragon of darkness and the darkslayer made by his lightbound brother. Thats a lot cooler and deeper to me than just a really strong sword of some guy, and the guy having all the cool lore, not the sword

I forget it's name but there's a sword in the ice DLC that scales with the NG cycle. If you take it to ng+, it gets more powerful and so on. It's cool.

I do respect your opinion even tho I don't agree with it I'm currently playing this game and I am souls vetrean at this point I've beatsn every boss in all the main games(some of them more than 3 times) except ds2 and for a good reason I tried to play it and give it a chance first are I go to after the newbie areas(giant forest and heide tower) is the stupid gutter and black clutch with the most ugly boss run back ever and an anti climactic boss fight till now but hey I didn't let that stand in my way of enjoying a potential masterpiece eh? and so I go on to the second area THE lost fucking bastille (tbh it was kinda not as hard as people claim) but then I go to the undead burgatory and oh my god it's helping me quite the souls genre for good how ugly this boss dunback is

The funniest thing about people hating on DS2 is that DS2 (or at least the scholar edition) is the only properly optimized title in the ENTIRE SERIES (Demons Souls remake and DS1R don't count). It also has the story delivered in the most comprehensive way, somehow. I wanted to get into Dark Souls but could never stand the performance issues of 1 and 3. I still avoided playing Elden Ring before I got a PS5, and still I have to run a PS4 version through backwards compatibility because the PS5 version couldn't be fucked to run at 60 fps. For a series of games requiring precision and timing, performance has been completely shit throughout. The Scholar version of 2 ran like a charm on my GTX550ti with a shitty AMD FX series processor, and I was able to enjoy it through and through, to then move on and play DS3 and DS1R later when I have upgraded my rig half a year later. Surprisingly, even playing ER I find myself enjoying the parts of it that feel like DS2 more.

It's just kingsfield 5 😂 and that's why it is up theirbwith bloodborne! It is amazing

What I’m most excited for is the music when fighting the monsters, the charge blade being more badass, and the awesome final boss monster that monster hunter series is known for. I hope they let use have a boss fight like zoromagnaros.

I really adore the themes, tone, and overall story of ds2. The devs really understand what the vision for ds1 was and expanded on it incredibly well. It's genuinely a beautiful work of art in my eyes

Why the attack button has so much delay, oh, this can be fixed by activating the "disable double-click" option, why this option is bugged and aren't saved by the game and i need reactivate every time I enter in game?" Then, playing the game is like: "Oh, Jesus Crist, the character is soooooo slow. I have an delay if I just walk and then walk backwards. Bluh, I need more souls to upgrade my ADP, AAAA stupid I-Frames Idea, Again I'm being hitted by enemies because of that bad idea." In my playthroughs of Dark Souls 2, I always feel like I'm not enjoying it and that I'm just dragging myself to keep playing the game. Man, I tried to give it a chance like you said, but I just can't. I feel much better replaying Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring than forcing myself to play Dark Souls 2.

Dark souls 2 is the worst dark souls. However, it is my favorite dark souls. Unfortunately, DS1 is Iconic, and 3 is the cleanest experience. Therefore, 2 is an ugly duck by the nature of it. However, that also gives it its own room to be its own, beautiful thing. DS3 jerks itself off to 1. And 1's second half is infamous.

It was my last of the 7 souls games and im telling you ds2 is amazing. I must admit the first 2 hours in forest of fallen giants i really hate. Def my least favourite part of the entire game just because the amount of enemies you habe to fight without any i frames. Once you upgrade adaptability stat, the game is excellent
