    I'm glad to see these classics getting their exercise. I understand preserving these classics to withstand the history of time for many generations to appreciate them but at the end of the day they are cars and made to be driven.

      It’s very obvious you know absolutely nothing about what makes a Ferrari. Definitely not a 6 or 8 cylinder. Enzo Ferrari himself said a Ferrari is not a Ferrari unless it has a V12 engine.

    Lovely Dino and nice video. Some of the 206 features were carried into the the early L series 246 Dinos such as the knock off wheel spinners, narrow bumpers with rubber strips, which they all have, headrests on the bulkhead, the same high position on the door locks and wipers. The wheelbase is shorter on the 206 and the claimed BHP was 180.

    And to think that everything is alloy. Absolutely jaw-dropping. I would much rather have this than any of the stuff they make today. This is just pure class. being as tall as I am though, I doubt I would fit. Wonderful presentation as always. Thank you.

    The standard wheels on the 206 and the 246 were made by Cromodora. The Campagnolo wheels only went on the do called "chairs and flares" versions of the Dino and have larger wheels and flares around the wheelhouses.

  • @xj12c97
    @xj12c97 4 года назад +2

    The Cromodora wheels were also available on the 246 (with 5 bolts instead of knock-off). The Campagnolo wheels are completeley different and were optional extras.

    What a refreshing change to have a woman presenter. And she can drive a manual, too. With American's love of automatics, I'm surprised that it could be registered. I could imagine the inspector at the motor vehicle registry looking inside & saying, "What's that third pedal for?".
    Doesn't it look so much better without those big, ugly indicator repeaters on the sides that the federal authorities mandated for all cars from the sixties on? This is one 206GT. I wonder where all the other 150-odd other cars are?

    Nice video's.. also the 206 wheelbase is 2" shorter than the 246, but the 246gt L has many of the same features as the 206gt like the knock offs, key hole in the airduct long dash and head rests on the back panel.

    The better and prettier Dino, imo. My eye is always drawn to the rear side glass of the 206, versus the metal panel with vents on the 246, when discerning between the two. Your dedication to historical accuracy is appreciated. Was that an authentic Nardi steering wheel?

      The metal side panels with vents were only for the targa-top 246GTS model, that were so popular in the states. The coupe still had the glass windows.

    Sadly from 2030 on all the combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one single state operated station per city. :-(

    By keep adding the word Ferrari to something wont make it a Ferrari, its a Dino. If you know your cars you will know what link a Dino has to Ferrari & that's it. I would say adding the word Ferrari cheapens the Dino.

    I have owned Ferrari’s, and Enzo called this Dino instead of Ferrari that we all know, and it’s in no way a Ferrari, and especially with a pathetic V6. Even Enzo said a Ferrari has to have a V12 to be a Ferrari, and I totally agree. If Fiat didn’t have control, there would be no V8’s. Anything less than 12 cylinders is just a car, just like this fake that several years later Fiat dubbed it a Ferrari to boost sales. It’s similar to these fake BMW/RR’s with BMW engines with Rolls-Royce on the valve cover’s that is a major case of fraud. Actually 90% of the part’s in these things are not British, and the other 10% are not British as well.

  • @EEnnisjr

    I was shocked when the show in the seventies, The Persuader’s with Moore and Curtis used this pathetic car. Just about anything on the road would outrun this pathetic excuse for an Italian car.
