Both Krystle and Alexis looked stunning here, and Alexis 's entrance later, with the long, slow camera pan finally picking her out on the balcony, was incredible - almost worthy of Hitchcock! But personally, dinner dress-wise, I think Krystle looked her best at Steven's birthday party the previous season in 1982, the night when Alexis makes Fallon crash her car. Now there she looked sensational!
It was, & one of the primary reasons these kinds of shows stopped being done (Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crest, The Colbys)....TOO expensive! The clothes, the sets, the high salaries for larger casts, etc.
Krystle and Alexis have different things to offer. Krystle has that statuesque body and upper class looks and Alexis is shorter but more traditionally pretty/beautiful/glam. Krystle probably had the better body of the two but Alexis had the more traditional/normal feminine appeal
