This might be the most glamorous Crystle has ever looked on this show. They nailed it with her gown, her headpiece, her jewelry, and her hair. Her skin was literally glowing with temptation!
Alexis's entrance is absolutely superb. The long range single shot, the camera slowly picking her out amongst the crowd then inching towards her till she's the central focus - perfect! Almost Hitchcockian, reminds me of that extraordinary long range zoom in 'Notorious' where the camera starts with a wide angle of a similar party scene before slowly zooming in - in.a single shot - to a key clutched tightly in Ingrid Bergman's hand. Dynasty's production values for at least the first half of its run were superb.
The "Roaring Twenties" party was great Pamela Sue Martin and Linda Evans look stunning Fallon on the diving board with Mark Jennings and everyone ending up in the swimming pool is great. I have the whole show on DVD
Oh, the irony @ 1:22 when Fallon says to Krystle regarding the Count: "he knows you're Blake's wife so not to worry"! Later in the episode Mark confronts Krystle with the fact that their Mexican divorce was invalid (this fact of her inadvertent bigamy was ferreted out the prior season by Alexis' fav PI Morgan Hess when she hired him to investigate Krystle's past). Of course in due course everything gets legally corrected.
WOW! PAMELA SUE MARTIN LOOKED AWSOME IN THIS SCENE. I WAS A BIG FAN OF LINDA EVANS, BUT I HAVE TO SAY PAMELA LOOKED PRETTIER THAN LINDA IN THIS SCENE ONLY.
and the bad guy/gal are more interesting, especially when they have @ least one redeeming feature deep down (like Alexis does - usually she's very protective of family).
Love Fallon (Pamela Sue) owing Krystal. Krystal never had a defense when someone owned her and she did step out of line a fair bit. It just got old watching Dynasty to see Alexis get punished, nearly ruined, bullied, etc. over everything even when sometimes she legitimately didn’t know, but Krystal would do something bad (Sammy Jo being the big one) they were just like “oh you didn’t know. Lol” and nothing more.
