The biggest problem that most of us face is that we're unable to narrow down to one purpose that we'd like to adopt. This problem exists because picking a purpose is scary. You want to get it right. You want to be 100% sure before you make a choice. Because picking a purpose is a sacrifice in a sense. It means sacrificing all other potential purposes. It means taking a risk, and committing to a course of action. You're afraid of getting it wrong. But I'm here to tell you, its okay to roll the dice, its okay to take the gamble. You don't need to feel the pressure to make the perfect decision, or even the right decision. Because a focused, disciplined, pursuit of any goal, is never going to be a waste. This is one thing I've learnt over the past year, that Hard work ALWAYS pays off. The months of hard work you put into the pursuit of whatever you pick as your purpose will never go to waste, no matter what you pick as your next purpose. So, the answer to the problem I talked about in the first line is- Guess. Just Pick SOMETHING.
@@frog6054 Well then you’ve taken the first step brother! That’s more than most people can say for themselves. I think we need to start being a little more purposeful with what you choose now. This is where Hamza’s advice of giving yourself time to think, to introspect, to develop self awareness, comes in. Try journalling, try talking to yourself about this, try allotting time just to think about your purpose. One major mistake I see people often make is that they try doing something and still find scrolling through Instagram and watching RUclips shorts more interesting. Don’t make that mistake! As long as you’re giving yourself the option to just lie there and relax and enjoy and stimulate dopamine in your system through instant gratifications, nothing is going to be good enough to take up as a purpose. I don’t usually make comments, but this video is exactly what I needed. My mind is torn and tangled between so many goals and pathways that I know I can achieve if I focused on one. What I need is a few days of solitude. Away from the distractions of home and technology. And just pondering, meditating and working out.
Exactly, I really resonate with this now that I recently furfilled a big goal of mine (finishing my studies). I feel like I can do anything if I just put my mind and time to it. I would like to excel in sports (Marathon, triathlon or even MMA), become a succesful business man, or excel in the educational system by doing a PhD. It is difficult to chose one clear direction, and I would like to do all three. However I do feel like my main purpose is becoming the best possible father to my capabilities. I have to figure out how to translate these ambitions/goals to systems/plans. I think solitude is the answer to do so. Good luck brothers 💪 🙏
I'm from Ukraine. I've started watching Hamza before the war, because I was looking for some bussines advice, so some of his old videos popped in search. Then the war started and I've lost a job that I liked, cause a place where I worked shut down, was commisioned from the army several weeks after I've enlisted due to health issues, moved to another country and spent like 2 months doing nothing and living of refugee support money and ultimately gave up, started to lose feeling of purpose and was slowly moving into depression pit. Now thanks to this guys videos I found a job and moving towards a new goal I've set for myself. Also started to work out again and changed some habits that I wanted to get rid of. Thanks man, you are a literal life saver
To be completely honest i've been watching these kinds of videos for a very long time now but the only videos that seem to help are the ones hamza makes. For that I thank you and i'm sure many other people who watch your videos feel the same.

When you are going to make a plan for your future, you should not rush it but instead you should take your time to create actionable steps to your plans so that you can make your goals into reality and achieving the life that you have been daydreaming of for years. Remember that you are planning for the next 5 years of your life and not the next 5 minutes. Daydreaming will get you nowhere in life, but taking action will make you get the life you want, because you will create your own life by the actions and decisions you make. Some of you here want to be rich, don't fall for the get-rich quick trap, fall in love with the process, and get rich right.
I just hiked into a mountain near me with just a water bottle, pen and paper in my pocket. No phone whatsoever. I spent a couple of hours there in soltitude: praying, savoring the nature around me, contemplating and journaling about my goals. And oh boy, it seems effortless to determine what my purpose is because I knew it in the first place. My mind was just clouded with information overload, overstimulation and self-doubt. I knew what I am supposed to focus on. You may call me crazy but there was a voice dictating me after praying to write notes on what "He" is saying (do this, avoid that). It was very clear to me, a truly spiritual moment. If you read this, I recommend doing this some time.

Dude. Your advice is good. The issue for most peeps lies in our society. I am a 26 year old who has spent 8 years working towards his purpose which felt like nothing I'd ever exchange. I knew it was meant for me. So when nothing happened regarding that purpose, when my SA society consistently screwed me up, and I lost all my money and kept being knocked down ad cheated, that's where the issues came in. Losing your mission is one thing, finding it in a society that dictates all your time is another. If ur gonna call this Jeffrey mentality then perhaps you're right. But the fact is, even just one day for myself is nigh impossible. Regardless, I'm going to make sure to take these three days whenever I can and as soon as I can. For now, anyone who is in a similar situation to me, balance proactivity with reactivity. Live your day doing what you must, and spend your evening or lunch breaks just thinking or meditating. It's keeping me still enough to figure things out slowly. But shit man Hamza, I'd kill for those 3 days. 8 years with nothing to show is a tough thing to accept.
Consider fasting food (only drink water) for those 3 days Hamza is talking about. It will seriously add a much deeper level of reflection and contemplation to discovering your purpose. And since a lot of Jeffreys watch these videos, yes you can safely fast for 3 days, your not going to starve to death if you miss breakfast.
Just to say, i've recently done a dopamine detox + a fast and it's way harder than what you think. Honestly, combing the is not a good idea if your not trained. Just my advice but do as you like
@@nelsonanadi3248 Yup its a good idea to work up to it. Do a 24, then 48, then 72 hour (3 day) fast. Man. This video has the best timing for me. I have to move countries and live there for the rest of my life and I'm only 16 and being told to literally go figure your shit out before we move countries. I literally relapsed on NoFap so hard. Lost everything, broke my mental and even stopped watching your videos. Indulged into degen things for 5 weeks straight and only 'till now at 2:20 AM I told myself "I am a fucking loser. When did I get to this point." I started to fucking cry and right as I was about to fall asleep I remembered your channel. I honestly can't thank you enough for your videos and how many lives you've changed through your videos. So today I'll start to work on myself again. This time I won't force myself but I won't be lazing around either. I'll choose my path this time.
This is what I'm trying to say man. I started to limit my social media use drastically, but now I'm being told to be successful, I need to use it regularly. So idk what to do tbf. I feel like I'm going to go full into it until I can extract myself from it somehow. Idk man.
Yes, use social media, but smartly. Instead of just being able to use any time of day, restrict it to a specific 15-30min window in ur day where u treat it like work, doing the things u have to do. The other 23 and a bit hours of the day, stay away from it. You'll gain the benefits of both worlds this way.
Have been absolutely torn for a while about what i want to do in my life. Adios for three days. Leaving this comment here so i can come back after this to let you all know exactly how it went.
I would want a purpose but I want to pursue it without any troubles by reality. What I mean by reality is this: what do I need to know about taking care of myself, managing a work life balance, knowing how to provide for myself and take care of my own family, etc. Main thing I want to know is how to plan for a retirement and be easily able to provide for my children (eventually). I think I would know how to take care of myself now as I can deal with my eczema with a lot more ease now.
I think it's important to note that solitude is a great excuse for people to think they're being productive. Sitting alone, doing nothing, is not good unless you're applying good habits and don't remain in solitude for too long. It's very easy to be consumed by it but it is also very beneficial when utilised properly. I learnt this while contemplating doing RUclips after school
i think you missed the point. Hamza is saying you should seek solitude because it allows you time to think. By trying to be overly productive, youre focusing your mind on everything but your thoughts
As a recent secondary school leaver, I understand some of the struggles of figuring out the path that you want to take. The last year of my school life I spent scouring the internet for different apprenticeships, colleges, A level courses and everything inbetween. I didn't know what I wanted to do. One night after dinner, my dad and I sat at the table for hours just talking and thinking about what I wanted out of life. Not just in the upcoming years but 10, 20, 30+ years down the road. That time of thinking and reflecting on what I wanted to achieve, getting real and deep about passions and goals, was where I found that light at the end of the tunnel. I haven't reached it yet but it's in view and I'm making my way towards my goal. Keep improving guys and don't give up.
@@IshtiHD Just finished my first year at college studying Sport and Exercise Science. This year I came out with the highest possible grades. I've also been working for the past 6 months. Interacting with the general public has been a real eye opener and getting a feel of the working life has been pretty good. Starting to think about what I want to do after this final year. Still working on that but I have some possible uni courses in Sport technology that I'm interested in. Being fully honest, I feel that I would have preferred to complete an Apprenticeship rather than a college course. However, this has been a learning experience and has allowed me to get an independent view of the working world. All is well in my life currently and I wish you the best of luck!
It's like when you turn off the city lights, at first it is very dark but after a little bit you will start to see new stars and galaxies that you have never seen before.
To me it feels so pointless not to have an ambitious life. My friends don't, they choose to play video games. I was like that too, but over time I realized that the best thing I can do with my life is to have a real goal to focus on. Today I see no point in playing video games or doing pointless things. I have to do something productive to feel any pride in myself. I have two main goals. I want to be a doctor, and I want to have children.
Idk why you need an editor tbh, you say it's not productive to watch youtube videos anyway so I don't even watch these videos, I listen to them while doing productive shit. You're being the little supportive voice in my head and you help push me forward 👍 thanks for that man 💪
Hey Hamza. I have a question. Over the past 3 years my life has improved 10 fold because of self improvement. I am confident, fit and grounded. I have always understood the concept that humans are inherently selfish. However after losing my best friend to his own unforgivable actions (abusing my girlfriend because he was depressed and has a self destructive nature), I have been so angry at everyone. I now surround myself with positive and grounded people but can't help but get angry at everyone else for their blatant disregard of other people. It just feels like 99% of people are evil and I can't comprehend their justification of their actions. This is the first time I have ever had to deal with constant emotions out of my control and I don't know where to start. I have no idea if you can help with this, I know it's not your usual kind of question, but I thought I'd reach out regardless. Bless u and im glad you are living your best life 💪.
Bro, it is not exactly how it was, but the quote went something like this: "The man with the highest form of moral standard is the one that sees the mistakes of others and being sorry like it committed them himself" I understand what you meant in your comment, when you are that self-aware, see the people surrounding you and realize how cruel, non-aware and straight up evil the common people are you end up kinda disgusted by them and being perceived as angry by them, them not knowing that their "normal" behavior is kinda trash. I remember this part on the HTMFAIP book, it was that people have egos, and will always try to find a justification for their actions to defend it, even if it makes no sense. The best advice that I learned from reading it was that if you have a good sense of what is right, live by it, act upon it, it is not meant to be obtained to go and share it with others, with the crowd. Avoid this crowd, this common people, their actions and way of thinking will shake your principles, leaving you perturbed. Only get partial exposure of them, learning how to do this will take you time. Good luck.

„Hard times make strong man"
So I make my own hard times to be strong.
I'll choose my path this time.
my king comes out of on where talks about the things which i need to hear at the right time and *puff* i'm back on track again
new favorite hamza video
Literally the final video I needed
Amen brother, if you don’t know a purpose then fucking create one until you find out what you want out of life
3 day camping trip no phone hamza thank you
I have found my purpose but extra knowledge is a necessity in life
I started a self improvement journey all thanks to you hamza. I'll be the best version of myself💪.
This literally is exactly the video I needed. You’re the best Hamza 🙏🏼
This is what I'm trying to say man. I started to limit my social media use drastically, but now I'm being told to be successful, I need to use it regularly. So idk what to do tbf. I feel like I'm going to go full into it until I can extract myself from it somehow. Idk man.
Go into monk mode bro
Yes, use social media, but smartly. Instead of just being able to use any time of day, restrict it to a specific 15-30min window in ur day where u treat it like work, doing the things u have to do. The other 23 and a bit hours of the day, stay away from it. You'll gain the benefits of both worlds this way.
Only use it for work and not for entertainment
this is something i never actually struggled with i always had a clear goal and knew what i wanted and im thankfull for that
i did it hamza! lets gooo damn it actually feels good!
Only discovered your channel recently man, And fucking hell is it a breathe of fresh air. Love the content man.
Have been absolutely torn for a while about what i want to do in my life. Adios for three days. Leaving this comment here so i can come back after this to let you all know exactly how it went.
im trying this, see yall in 3 days
Soon 600k subs. I am so happy that this channel has grown so big
Thanks 4 this 1 to everyone involve♥️
This is one of the best videos hamza's put out. How come there's such less views?
And I’m here at 15
Very grateful for it.
I'm 15 too , hope we can become strong and openminded together 💪🏽
Thanks Hamza.
Thanks for every single video. It gives me all of my life's inspiration.
Love you man ! You are definitely so underrated no one wants the real sh*t .. But yupp you are definitely helping thousands of people
yeah i’m going to follow the steps in this video thank you fore this hamza
Im going to set aside a week in the summer to do this, after school has finished and all that shit. Thanks man
As a recent secondary school leaver, I understand some of the struggles of figuring out the path that you want to take.
Hi, I’m also a secondary school leaver, any updates?
I am going to do this Hamza❤... I will
just thank you man , thank you so much
Good idea, I'm going to log out of my RUclips now as well. See y'all
fair play with these regular uploads lad
It's like when you turn off the city lights, at first it is very dark but after a little bit you will start to see new stars and galaxies that you have never seen before.
Summer holidays just started so its the perfect time to do 3 days of solitude
Nice bro go into monk mode
Thanks hamza I needed this
To me it feels so pointless not to have an ambitious life.
Bless u and im glad you are living your best life 💪.
he said during the video that he has signed out of youtube and cannot view comments, so you cannot communicate with him on this platform
You should check out academy of ideas yt channel and read works of Carl Jung and Nietzsche.
Bro, it is not exactly how it was, but the quote went something like this:
"The man with the highest form of moral standard is the one that sees the mistakes of others and being sorry like it committed them himself"
I understand what you meant in your comment, when you are that self-aware, see the people surrounding you and realize how cruel, non-aware and straight up evil the common people are you end up kinda disgusted by them and being perceived as angry by them, them not knowing that their "normal" behavior is kinda trash.
Good luck.
Thanks, I appreciate it
Im 16 years old and doing this right this minute, hopefully there is a big butterfly effect!
5:12 trust me Hamza I do that that is the most exciting and painful thing I have done my entire life
