Yo Hamza, I've never heard you talk about this habit that can improve people's mental health and capacity, which is music. Not the listening to degenerate type of music and shit but learning how to sing and especially learning how to play an instrument. Learning how to play an instrument boosts your mental habilities so much that you have no idea,
I remember being in first grade hardly being able to do math, my mum got me into music and once i started practicing singing and piano i started excellin at school. I believe this is something you could get your future children into. Hope someone listened to me because this is something you don't hear about often.
Do the hard work, especially when you don't feel like it *muah*

I was a bit skeptical at first about this "Imbalance Method" at first, but it's starting to make sense. From the moment you mentioned burnout, it clicked. I was raised in a more feminine way without pushing the boundaries of what I was comfortable with and the rules set around me. Although I am terrified of the idea of pushing myself to do what I'm actually capable of, I now see how important this is. Thank you for the insight Hamza.

I was always scared of going too hard, and now i started to not give a fuck and tell myself "i am invincible anyway lol" and i just defy my mind. Stress is lowered, my performance in everything gets better and im not even at my limit. My mind was just so set with the anxiety of going too far, that i didnt notice i didnt even go to 80% Some guys had single mothers (like i) and that could be the problem. Spread this message bro.

I'm currently 19, have been really improving myself by eating clean, going to the gym, learning languages and educating myself to eventually later graduate. One of the issue I had with this concept of this imbalance method is my physical integrity. 2 years ago I've been diagnosed with epilepsia, and factually cannot (I have tried it around 8 times as of now) working myself to do more than others, but with this condition, every morning when I wake up, if I don't wake up before the prescribed time to take my medication and get enough sleep, I will have a seizure. The doctors I've seen only told me to stay put since theses seizures make me lose some of my brain functions bit by bit. But I can't help wanting to do more and I'm in a bit of a cornered position as of now.
So if anyone sees this and have some knowledge about what I could drive towards, I'd be very grateful.

Remember he stated that the reason why you shouldn't prioritize your health is to be able to make better impact on the world. However in this case, if you do not prioritize your health, you WILL NOT be able to make that better impact. In the coding community we call anomalies like this the black swan, the situation that we didn't think would exist until it does. You need to prioritize your proper sleep, and make sure you prioritize working hard in the waking hours that you do have.
Best of luck brother, you've been dealt a difficult hand but that doesn't mean you can't make something glorious out of it.

I totally Agree, I've experienced this bullsh*t advice that I should be spending 4 hours in a deep work learning something, and the rest I can just fill in with not-urgent but important tasks like reading 1 hour, Checking Emails 30 mins a day etc....
Now, when I've started doing the opposite, that is Working 8 hours on my business, and spendig 3-4 hours a day reflecting and learning from Content & learning What I could've done better.
Going all in is the only way, I get it now.
Here's my Daily Routine, if Someone's wanna steal it.
    I Do these:
    4:45 AM ~ Wake up
    5: AM - 6 AM ~ Workout
6: AM - 10 AM ~ Work on my Business
    10:00 AM - 10:30 AM - 1st Meal of the day
    10:30 AM - 11:00 AM - Check Emails
11: AM - 2: PM ~ Work on My Business
    2: PM - 2: PM ~ 2nd Meal of the day
    2: PM - 3: PM ~ Check Emails
3: PM - 7: PM ~ Dedicated time for self development [ Ex ~ Books, Podcasts etc...]
and fill the rest with your tasks...

Right now iam 18 yrs old i watch alot of long form podcasts, read and workout everyday. I am not fully hammered in shape but my body is getting there day by day. In terms of getting the mindset and building the good habits I am fully on the right track and iam doing well. However, i dont make any sort of income what so ever. I havent still gone to college and i dont even know what to major in. Theres alot of problems that are happening in the house, parents might get a divorce at anytime, financial issues left and right and it infuriates me when i look at them and cant do anything about it, i feel completely helpless in terms of dealing with those issues. I tried many methods to get money but nothing seems to work and because I cant do anything i am obliged to just sit and watch all of this crap just happen in front of my eyes while I cant do anything about it. Its truly killing me and nothing i do seems to work. I am just wondering if all this is even working. I know that i am young and i might be in the age of still figuring things out, but when the time comes and i have figured things out its gonna be too late and i dont even know if its worth it at this point. This is the worst feeling ever.

Control What You Can Control . Then sit down open notes or a diary . Write Down what you cant control and how and in what ways it fucks you up BOTH emotionally and MENTALLY . Write down everything and anything that you can do to save yourself even a little bit from this situation . Then and only then decide what you doing or going to do CONSISTENTLY to get yourself out of this in the long run . OH , btw always make your routine or system keeping these things in mind ( if you are getting even 50 percent of your daily tasks done you are killing it literally ) . Also Watch rian doris .

It's super hard, but I got so much hope and faith in my future because I know I'll get what I want one day no matter what I'm going through right now. As much as I have been told about balancing my life out despite how hard I work, I’m realizing that it has always been those efforts where I have had borderline sleepless nights, weekends where I have worked more than relaxed, and found everyday mundane tasks as getting in the way of my work, that have helped me achieve a lot of my goals. Even with all that I’m still hard on myself with what I am doing and how I am doing it. To sum this all up, what you are saying is completely true.

Ideally everything supports everything else. You eliminate all detractors like alcohol, women, unproductive activities. When you feel overwhelmed, you don't party, you don't watch Netflix, you journal, you go for a hike with some friends, you read a book related to your goals, you cook, you tidy, you take a bath. You do restorative activities that help you recover or move closer to your goals not further away.
Something that really helps me is, when I'm really craving socialising, instead of going out to bars, just call on the phone for an hour. It gets it out the system without spending hours and messing up your sleep and drinking alcohol or meeting a girl and going home with her and that stuff.
Another thing is, you can't necessarily do high quality cognitive work all day. You do your most cognitively demanding work like writing, coding, etc., first. Then in the evenings you can do less demanding tasks like journaling, coaching, cooking.
I like to eat dinner then take a bath with a tangerine + casein protein shake, then journal (review the day + write down tasks for tomorrow). That clears my head. Then I can read a book in bed for the last hour til I'm tired enough to fall asleep.
I do watch RUclips and listen to podcasts during the day, but usually when I'm otherwise indisposed like cooking, working out, on transport, eating, etc.

Kind of like how Hamza explained that jumping up and just doing ALL the good habits right away, you will quit after a week. It’s the same thing. I know I can add more work on top of my part time job. But I have other responsibilities to do too, cleaning, watching my brother etc

One thing i would like to add is " Our society complicates the term work by saying work hard and hard but it should be this way. Obviously you need to work but take the work as fun , as a learning opportunities, as a challenge dont turn work into always hard work. It should'nt always be hard work it should be just Work. Work which is hard, fun, challenging, fun, opportunity, joyful and much more. The focus should be on taking a action and mindful action not like a slave.

I want to be a professional drummer and I wish I hadn’t committed to so many things this year because my energy is all over the place. I plan on going to college for music and when I get there I plan to minimize everything else and cut out things I don’t need to do and just practice for hours and hours a day, that’s what I really want to do now, practice. I just don’t have the time because of all my commitments.

Brother I understand what you say because the other day I studied piano for 4 hours straight, my brain was melting, guess what; I had studied really well. Yet in front of my teacher I was performing very badly and with poor technique. I haven't watched this video yet, but remember that we can't work a long time without taking breaks. I don't mean taking rest days, they are unnecessary, but take breaks in between sessions. Set a bedtime. Set a time a day you can go to the gym. In my case I studied piano a lot for my standards because I wanted to perform the best I could. And then it went like shit. If I had studied over the course of the week, it would have been better. Remember that we are humans. Hamza is right, but if you are hurting your physical and/or mental health, simply set boundaries.

I used to be a professional chess player and i didnt take a single day off.. I was obsessed as fuck(probably insanely addicted).. During this period I used to go to gym but i only go for like 5 times a week because I just wanted to be in decent enough shape so that my brain is firing out moves.. I just wanted my brain to be sharp so i thought a healthy body is a healthy mind..

Every time man. No bullshit, every time I watch a video from you, there's always shit you say that makes so much fucking sense AND it's exactly what I need, yet I haven't heard ANYONE say it. Every time I stop watching you for a while, and I see your recent videos, I cringe because of the generic, click-baity titles that seem like it has 0 value (coz everyone makes these kinda videos now) but when I watch them, it always exceeds expectations. The "you have to go through burnout and learn your limits" advice is top 3 advice for improvement. Sure Goggins and Tate for example spread the same message, but the way you explain why you should do it is what really makes the difference. I never understood pushing yourself too hard, because I thought that we had different ways to achieve success and I was also fooled at the idea of "depending on the individual, you may or may not need to work very hard". I think your biggest strength is you make these "hard to swallow pills" MAKE SENSE ON WHY WE SHOULD DO IT. Not just yapping about "oh you should do it coz you're a man" without logically explaining why shit works.

1: Take a break for one day. (No longer than that)
2: always lift the heaviest weight you can possibly lift with your hands. Keep training with that, each day, get 30-70 reps.
Sleep 7-10 hours every night. Eat lots of eggs and meat (without much spices and artificial stuff).
Eat as less sugar, and as much salt.
You will become lean in 4-8 months with this advice.
When you become much stronger, then lift much heavier weights.
(Always lift the heaviest weight you can)
      Hope this helps👍🏻
