    I went to visit this beautiful soul Hadrat Sheikh Abdal Hakeem Muraad, he fed me food, he took me to his office made me a cuppa tea, he gave me his valuable time out of his busy schedule even though I was no body however some random believer in Allah. We then proceeded to pray salah, he made lead Zohr prayer even though I was so embarrassed Masha Allah such a personality asking me to lead in his presence. I am a just a normal believer with mountain of sins in my book of deeds however I have read about the seerah of Nabi A.S as this beautiful soul full of Noor is his face matched very much to the seerah of the prophet A.S. It doesn’t end there when I was leaving he greeted me and as I sat in my car I drove he was standing and looking at the car as far as I couldn’t see him in my rear view. I wish I could see him again 😥 and kiss his blessed hands.

    Unfortunately most of the foods available today are “Food like Substances”, engineered specifically to stimulate taste with the motivation to produce in mass quantities. From this limited focus on how food is cultivated and produced we are consuming significant amount toxic chemicals with sub par nutrition in the name of Food. As these foods are becoming more affordable people are typically eating and snacking 6 to 7 times a day without giving their digestive system a break to rest and heal from the stressors. Thank you Shaykh for sharing the virtues of Health in our Iman and emphasizing the importance for choosing clean and wholesome foods along with periods of intermittent fasting. I really think this is how we can begin to heal not only our bodies but our planet by choosing what and how we cultivate all that we consume

    Duas for the brothers and sisters behind the organic tayyib movement. A visit of support to their business or farms will humble you incredibly. The huge effort they put in, the hard task they've taken on is worthy of the price tag that comes with tayyib food. If you haven't supported their businesses - do so now, it helps them and helps us both physically and spiritually. Alhamdulillah

    Bismihi ta’Ala as’salaam alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu : the Holy Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم said,
    Religion is sincerity, religion is sincerity (Al-Nasihah), religion is sincerity." They said; "To whom, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "To Allah, to His Book, to His Messenger, to the imams of the Muslims and to their common folk."
    This is an element - in my opinion, one of the most fundamental elements of our religion, our deen, our دين - that is remembered more in its NON-observance than its implementation. All my life - and I’m a pretty old, slowly crumbling edifice now - I’ve heard “Muslims” and aspiring muslims pompously, and self-importantly pontificating that “Islam is not just religion, but a way of life!” Few people truly seem to know that the word “religion” is not necessarily or automatically an adequate substitute or analog for the word دين or deen, and so do little or nothing to demonstrate and actualize or, for that matter, actually articulate that reality. Alhamdulillah, the shuyookh of tariqah I have known, like Dr Mangera حفظه الله and Hadhrat Maulana Abdul Hamid Is’haq دامت بركاته do, and have done so unceasingly, but only in the context of guiding those formally engaged to them in the task of self-reformation. With, and in this lecture, Sheikh Abdul Hakim حفظه الله has once again done an exemplary, and superlative service to all of us and the society at large, by demonstrating Islam as not just a way of life, but THE way of life. Just as he did few days ago with his “Giving the Good News” talk. May Allah Most High cause and permit Sheikh Abdul Hakim دامت بركاته to thrive and dispense his نصيحة on us for many, many years. آمين.

    Thanks to The Creator. We live in times where food and drink are abundant, where opportunity to do good works is to be found in every corner the eye can perceive. Thanks for the gift of guidance that is the routine of this blessed month. Wherein we learn to subdue the animal within ourselves that the human being may flourish.
    Truly the human is made for the path paved by our prophet, and truly this month is the potent manifestation of this path.
    My dear brothers and sisters I call on you to fulfill your obligation of doing good works and in being God's vicegerents upon earth.
    For surely there will come a day when we are all asked: What did we do with the gift of life? - Surah Takathur Verse 8

    In the video at Barclays it seemed that you were upset that people are over worried about Halal meat in the UK. I agree that people should be involved in other issues and acquiring other knowledge, which maybe more important. I am only highlighting this so maybe u could next time elaborate if you make that comment. Please note i am not being offensive you are my teacher, I truly respect you and listen to all your lectures carefully and try to implement what i can. This is only because i was a bit confused on what you meant in the barclays lecture

      If I’m thinking of the correct lecture, I think that was a reference to the ways Muslims will socially/civically engage in non Muslim societies. Campaigning for halal foods in schools is good but it’s very insular to the Muslim community and not helping the community as a whole, which includes primarily non Muslims. If the environment is being ravaged, people are starving, and drug addiction is sweeping the society; Muslims must concentrate more on the larger issues too, and project aid to them rather than being insular by letting something like halal food dominate the discourse over how Muslims engage with the rest of society. Priorities are in descending order and certain injustices must be at the top of the list, that’s not to say campaigning for halal food isn’t a priority-it is, it just isn’t the largest one. It’s as the sheikh said, if the land is suffering it is better to try and help in that regard than build an ornate mosque

    Islam, as God and man's natural religion, does not obligate or guide one except to what is good, productive and fruitful. This we can observe in contrast to some of the socio-cultural trends we find ourselves in, which often propel to what is expedient, but at the cost of health, dignity and productivity. The social determinants of health are oft the elephant in the room. Whether it's the NHS, the care system, or even the criminal justice system - health and social inequality almost always frame these lamentable situations. Therefore, it would be fantastic to gain some momentum in our communities in regards to healthy eating. Hand in glove with exercise and strengthening our bodies, healthy eating should be at the heart of a progressive and robust Muslim home. The habits that form our lives should reflect the divine and prophetic mercy, rather than the lusts and desires of convenience and biochemical kicks. Going forward, we can use Ramadan, Prophetic fasting and healthy eating, to lay the foundations for a healthy, pious and exemplary community that can cultivate our communities, while mercifully illuminating those around us..

    With regards to other religions being kind to animals, other than Islam, Hinduism comes to my mind, aren't they vegeterians because of their animal veneration?

    • @ellagardener538
      @ellagardener538 2 года назад

      Not necessarily true Hinduism vegetarianism began as a form of oppression against Dalits by Brahmins who accused the untouchable caste as being impure and being meat eaters. They condemned the untouchables to perpetual oppression one which the could never escape from generation to generation and used vegetarianism and still are a a form to continue of Brahmanical caste system.

    • @mohammed24kb
      @mohammed24kb 2 года назад

      From Hilaal ibn ‘Aamir from his father, who said: “I saw the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in Mina, giving a khutbah sitting on his mule, wearing a red cloak, and ‘Ali was in front of him, repeating what he said (in a loud voice, so that the people could hear).” (Narrated by Abu Dawood, no. 3551; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani - Saheeh Sunan Abi Dawood, 767).
      Bro, don't believe everything you hear, in Islam we have alot of interpetation of Hadeeth. Some say haram, some say halal. The hadith has to be seen in context and with knowledge and wisdom. Not only read and not contemplate.
