  • Don't get caught in head and arm chokes...or any submission, for that matter. But, since it is inevitable that you will get caught, it is important to have late escapes, as well as early ones. This video details the sequence of escapes and the procedure for applying them effectively to counter the head and arm choke.
Always be as safe as possible in training and competition. I hope these details help. Thanks as always for watching!

I have watched many videos from U, probably all, and I have learned loads and loads of things. I just wanted to say THNKX, It really means a lot that a guy like me who has never taken a class or fought in an organization can learn all these things because of a person such as yourself. Hope U realize how much help U truly provide to us who do not compete. I'm not a comment type of person so I am being very sincere when I say THANK YOU for your work

Dude that I partner up quite a lot with always does that to me, and at some point I started getting annoyed cause I always end up in that shitty position when rolling with him. Today it happens that we go to no gi together, so hopefully I can pull some of this stuff out. Thanks!

This is one of the positions that whenever you ask how to escape everyone laughs at you, says.. Just don't get yourself in that position. I had to learn it on my own. I use a different version. Rock on 🤘

I think “answering the phone” would’ve been a quick one to cover as well. Not the greatest by any means, but the most simplistic for surviving(at least for five more seconds lol).

I will try that rocking escape. I have used the elbow one for a while and seems to work well with a reversal. But the rocking one looks interesting.

The best way is to try & sneak your knee in as they come to the side to regain half guard. You can still get thrown to the side tho. When they do that you can do a reverse roll. If I remember I'll be make a video for you when my rib heals in a few weeks
