  • Head & Arm Chokes are some of the most popular submissions, so knowing how to defend against them is extremely important in grappling. My brother Jared and I recently filmed an entire instructional on this topic, and in this video we show a few of the most popular ones quickly broken down. Hope you enjoy it!

Great minds think alike. Ever since i was first in sprawl position, i almost hurt myself, i have been using these moves as one of my favorites. Knowing how to escape the anaconda is my current project, this really helps alot. Rock on, many blessings and brother!

I think you showed that forward-rocking to a back roll escape in another video. I try it from this position and it never works cleanly for me at my experience level and size, BUT it almost always threatens an escape enough that I can exploit my opponent's readjustment. For me this was a lightbulb moment, you just have to threaten so they make a mistake, and who cares how you got out from there?
    Good stuff as always!

Exactly it. Some things like that, even if they are lower percentage themselves, are great to set up escapes that work better for you in combination. Thanks!
