Yes, waiting for the 6a to replace my 4a5G. Kinda disappointed there is no 3.5mm jack. I still use my wired ear buds quite a bit. Looking at the 6a mainly for two reasons, physical size and price. Very excited for the new Google watch as well!!
We went full cycle, the phone jack is now considered luxury for more expensive phones.
i wanetd the 6a to upgrade to from my 4a but only if it came sooner, since now tensor 2 is almost here anyways... i might get a 7 instead
Now ik its an attractive price point, but if ure into there peripherals so much, i recommend getting a 6. it has wireless charging and the thing prolly valuable for you, reverse wireless charging. charge the watch directly from the phone stuff
I think if they would have priced it at $399 they would probably sell a lot more. I love my current Pixel Buds and I'm looking forward to the new one. I have the 6 and I'm looking forward to the 7 Pro.
With deals and everything you can get a pixel 6 for the price of the 6a. Plus the 6 has the better camera, bigger display, 90hz refresh rate, wireless charging, faster fast charging, and slightly bigger battery. So if you can find a deal on the 6 I would say go for that. I think the 6a would be a better deal if it started at $399 though .
I'm still using a Google Pixel 4a, so I'm looking forward to upgrading even though the phone suits my needs just fine - long battery life, updates still continuing, live transcribe, Google Home interface, etc. For someone who is hearing impaired like myself, the live transcribe feature has been an absolute Godsend.
I really appreciate Google for making accessibility features an important topic. It's also why I'm trying to do better about adding captions to all of my videos.
Same. The 4a 5g is fantastic but looking forward to better battery. Sad about no headphone jack as I still need that for my car, but I'll just get dongles. My mum dropped her Pixel 3a in the toilet so I have an excuse to get my new phone so she can have the old one 🤣

The pixel 3 was the last aesthetic phone from google. They are looking more and more like budget samsung phones with the over shiny metal and camera bumps.

I'd say Pixel 6 over 6a... I've been using my 2nd Gen Pixel Buds almost since launch, they're still great!!! Battery life is meh, but they work and I love the feature set.

I'm still happy with my Google Pixel 6 Pro, bummer the fingerprint scanner is still a little wonky. However, it's still a great phone.
I am looking for a replacement for my pixel 5. The 5's size is a bit awkward for me so something a to little bigger would be nice
Oh, this is just in time. I want to switch (again) to Android, but am seeing the Pixel as the only real contender for what I want. I can't really wait as my iPhone is having an issue (4 y/o already) and the 7 will very likely be more expensive then the 6 is right now. 500-550 is my max for a phone, even though I could pay 1000+, I just think that's ridiculous. :) The Pixel watch got me interested, until I learned it was tied to the phone just as much as my Apple Watch is to my iPhone, this actually made me want to switch more. So not going for that one.

I keep my hardware around until it breaks which means my home these days is full of old tech. I get to appreciate the moment when buying something new. Unfortunately with phones, it's not easy to replace the OS as other hardware for many. Especially Apple's hardware. I had an old Acer chromebook that stopped getting support but it was still good. I installed Coreboot to replace the bios and Fedora. It's still going strong as a nice Intel i3 laptop now. Would be nice if we could retire old phones for a different usage with another OS.
Just replaced my iPhone 6+ battery....good to go for another 3 years or more 😬

Well as long as they fixed the Bluetooth issues that I have had and many others. What I mean by that is connecting to older Bluetooth speakers and car stereo systems.
I have to wonder with spatial audio being integrated in the new pixel buds will RUclips music get an update to support spatial audio? 🤔

Hmmm no sd card and a 60hz screen, considering it's competitor Samsung A53 has a 120hz screen and a sd card slot.

I want AR in glasses or similar form factor so bad. Using Maps and live view is fine but it would be so much better integrated in glasses. Same with translate. In EU for 3 months right now and use live view and translate daily. Having it in glasses would free up hands and make use so much more seemless and easy. Together with a watch could be a killer app
I used my OnePlus 6 from launch in May 2018 until I got my Pixel 5 as a refurb a few months ago. OP lost it's mojo; happy to have a Google phone again.

If Google Glass comes back I would like it as something that can attach to my own prescription glasses. I don’t want to be stuck with their frames. And yes that probably makes everything harder for them!
I love my sailor moon frames, they're a fashion statement as well as required to see. So yeah, that would be amazing

Any idea if these upcoming Pixels will have a better fingerprint reader? That's the only complaint I have about the 6.
Unconfirmed at this time. Hopefully they're better. That was a big drawback for me.
Galaxy watch 4 now has Google assistant and it works very well
I've been a Pixel 2XL user since Black Friday 2017 and it's been the BEST phone I've ever owned. I so DESPERATELY wanted to upgrade to the Pixel 6 last year but due to the lack of funds I'm gonna wait for the Pixel 7 and that 2nd Gen Tensor Chip. I CAN'T WAIT!!
I still use my Pixel 2 phone. It’s a beast to this day and the camera still rocks 📸

Shannon, when reviewing some products, do you buy them or are they shipped to you for reviewing? If they are sent to you, what do you do with them after, do you have to send them back or do you get to keep them? If you do get to keep them, where do you find a place for them? If space is an issue, thought about gifting them to, let's say your viewers? When I say your viewers, what I really mean is to your longtime fan! When I said longtime fan, I really mean the old days before your move! When I say be.. me, I mean me! Hope all is well with you!
I include a disclaimer if a product is sent to me for review. Sometimes they are, sometimes I buy them. Like I bought the pixel 6, but teampixel sent me a 6 Pro to review. I keep all phones for at least a year for comparisons. Anything I've bought I'll resell to recoup my finances. I also gift them to friends and family.

I have been an Android User my entire life, however I have mostly stuck with LG Phones (which I overall liked) & I have tried Samsung & I hate those Phones & since LG is getting out of the phone business, I am looking for something that is of high quality & that isn't outrageously expensive that will last awhile & that won't need to be replaced all of the time. I have done a fair bit of research & I am waiting on the Pixel 7. I am *hoping* that I do not regret this decision.
The two "a" series of pixel phones I had were great. The 3a and 4a 5G.

Yes the iPhone SE came with a 90hz display, and the iPhone 13 and mini are also 90hz at $699. Oh wait
