I agree, and unfortunately the 60hz and 2 less ram in the easier to hold pixel 6a give the phone a less smooth performance over the pixel 6 despite what some reviews say, I've had and compared both myself. Google is ignoring the user base that Apple and Samsung don't by offering small flagships.
Mmm non expandable memory is a bit of an issue but 128gb is a decent amount. It's either the 6a or A52s or maybe A53. I'd be happy if the 5a was sold globally.
I got the Pixel 6 last year and absolutely love it still to this day but I would go with the 6a, if I'm buying it now. I would have gotten the 6 a if it were an option at the time.
I've owned the Pixel 6 for a few months now and have never had any problem with the fingerprint sensor. I especially love the convenience of having this sensor also on the lock screen. The only annoying problem I've encountered is that my phone calls my business partner even if I'm not touching the phone, sometimes even in the middle of the night! - I can't figure out why it does this, and it only seems to call his number! - I'm sure he thinks I do it on purpose 🤣🤣 All in all it's another great phone from Google.
I don't see why the heck anyone needs wireless charging? Used it once and never thought of using again. Its just a feature that adds the phone to the category of premium smartphones and helps some guys to boast about it.
Glad to have come across your video. I’ve grown tired of my iPhone and eyeing to switch to Android. This is a deliberately insightful review. Thanks so much! PS. got scared a bit cuz it’s bed time here then that doll popped out lmao
Hey Tech Spurt. Just wanna say I really appreciate your videos and like others have said I have subscribed even though I dont need a new phone (yet). I am a Huawei P30 Pro user and I recently returned my Pixel 6 Pro back for 3 main absolute deal breaker reasons. 1 - Battery life was so disappointing. Getting into bed every night with less than 15% moderate to light use. 2 - The "fast charge" was so slow. Took nearly 2 hours from 10%. This changed the way i thought about charging and made me want to top it up all the time. 3.- The phone heating up was so so unsettling and frankly was really uncomfortable. So disappointing. I honnestly jumped in head first for the full Google experience too. I just WISH Hauwei would have Google back on their devices, absolutely excellent phones
Basically the pixel 6a is for people who like a smaller phone. The most important things are in place it's water resistant great cameras and they are using the same processor. If you like smaller phones get the 6a, if you like bigger phones get the 6 or 6 pro. Great video.
The new lens on the Pro and regular 6 is so much better if you want your pictures to have natural bokeh and also cleaner photos with punchier colours and less out of focus things if they are moving
I'm a huge Google fan my Google 3 xl was great I now have a pixel 6 and it's super good battery lasts all day Camara is amazing it's just all around great phone only bad thing is no face unlock 🔓
I've had the pro for a while. If you have butter fingers, it's good. I drop it all the time. No issues. The camera isn't really worth the extra cost. All of them use the same software and do the same tricks. The telephoto doesn't really add much. My daughter's cheap Samsung takes better nighttime sky photos. Seriously. Just buy the cheaper ones.
How fascinating how everyone who compares phones talks about what back or frame the phone has. How it feels to hold and if it leaves fingerprints on the back. 😊 I've never met a single person who doesn't have their phone in a case and doesn't give a damn about that stuff. You can't even tell what colour your phone is.
I wanted a smaller phone with decent SoC, camera and no bloatware - and longer than couple years of updates - So I picked Pixel 6a. Other options I had was a) Zenfone 9 but it was too expensive, only couple years of updates and b) Sony 10 VI (weak SoC and camera). Not many options if you want a phone with around 6¨ display,
Attending many sporting events, I find the zoom on my pixel 2xl less than impressive... That's the main reason I'm drawn to the Pro... But I think the 6 is a better match, overall for my needs... Can't decide. Guess I'll wait until the 7 comes out and decide then.
@@gamerrage3558 short answer, I have! Still using the 2XL. Long answer... I just don't see the value in spending money on a new phone when this one still works just fine. Now I'll wait to see if the 8/8 Pro are a significant upgrade, and how this phone is doing at that point. Really the only thing I can see changing with getting a new phone is a better zoom camera and the ability to deposit checks once or twice a year through my credit union's app, which I currently don't do because of no security updates. But it does literally everything else I need it to do, so, I'll save my money. What are you considering?
Heck yeah! Perfect video, released just as I was curious about the differences between these phones. This is the most in depth video on all three pixel 6's I have seen.
When I found the 6a for $299 I pulled the trigger (can you still even say that?) and now have replaced my 3a. No regrets so far it's a great device for the money.
If you're not bothered by 60hz (that's what my current phone has) is the 6a really worth it? It's the only thing other than the overheating that I see people complaining about. I'm not looking to spend 1K on a phone, the 6a is the only one standing out for me. Any recommendations on other phones would be greatly appreciated
Depends on you , if you want camera centric and compact phone with flagship chipset(plus a decent 4410 muah battery) . 6a is for you . if you want specification then there bunch of chinese phone 😂 kidding , nothing 1 is a alternative for this device unless if iam considering you dont problem with average camera

You can understand this guy is giving an Honest Review because he practically said Pixel 6A is the best buy. If this was a paid review like CNET they would have recommended the most expensive one.
I'm using pixel 4a. I'm planning to update with pixel 6 or 6a. It's a perfect phone for photography as well as most elegant in this price segment. The only issue i have to face is that it overheats while having video calls. I just wanna know if any user who recently updated from 4 series to 6, is this problem is still there or not?
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for the pixel 7 and 7 pro being good. The screen puts me off of the 6a, and the charging speeds of the entire family really isn't great. After my OnePlus 7 Pro being destroyed by software updates, I really just want a fast charging phone (65w or more), that has decent performance (Snapdragon 870 territory or better) and software that doesn't glitch. Seems like a fairly small ask on paper, but it seems like you have to spend €1000 to get that now.
Very nice review! I like the pure Android experience a lot. It also looks elegant and premium. The camera are an enjoyment to have always with you. Only loading takes a lot time but the battery endurance is good enough. No need to get the Ultras of these days. This phone is perfect for every day use and has all I need in a phone!
The Pixel 6 has horrendous video capture. It has blotchy blacks in broad daylight, and struggles when changing between the sensors - dropping frames constantly. Not enough reviewers bring up the pixels unacceptable video performance.
Take the Pixel 5 ! Its the best out of the bunch in Pixels. Why? Great 90hz Refresh, Outstanding Portability and Weight, Great Back Camera for Nature Shots , Great battery, and Unlimited Storage of Photos and Videos in Cloud ( Even Pixel 6 Pro doesnt have it ) So For an Android Guy, Pixel 5 might be the one to go Ps : I use iPhone as Primary and Pixel 5 as secondary for every other stuff which actually needs a Laptop
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 - it's pretty old but is just fantastic. I love it. The fingerprint feature is starting to play up though so thought I might look out for a new phone and have decided to go for a Pixel. First, I was surprised and annoyed to find headphones jacks have vanished. I love my wired Bose noise-cancelling headphones. They work fine, I'm not replacing them and I don't want earbuds. So this feels like a scam for ppl to buy (easy to lose) earbuds tbh. I have normal woman-sized hands so I don't what a mahoosive phone plus, I always put my phone in a case. All these phone features are quite superfluous, really. I just want a pretty good camera (cos if I was serious about taking photos I'd just buy a camera), a mic jack, relatively fast charging and to surf the web. I don't watch videos or play games on my phone and I'm not looking to go swimming with it. It's annoying that the features I want are disappearing and they're adding all sorts of nonsense that I really don't care about to make a giant-ass piece of expensive equipment. Some phones cost more than my freakin' laptop! So yeah, phones nowadays seem to be massive, expensive and yet worse than ever. My first Nokia probably still has some charge left in it haha!
My A52s never gets hot. A phone that gets hot even just through browsing will wreck its battery even quicker, which makes me question this phone's longevity.
Bought the 6 13 days ago, coming from the 4a. The 6 is big and chunky, and I have big hands, gets hot on regular use, wireless charging does not charge the phone, putting this phone in the front pocket is uncomfortable, I am giving it back and going with the 6a or S22
So if I am running really intensive apps for my business, Company Cam for instance, is the Pro worth it. That app particularly seems to crash a lot on my Pixel 5. It is slow enough now that it is effecting my sales calls, which is obviously bad. Thanks in advance for any answers!
I was planning on the Xiaomi 11 Lite (etc), but while it's cheaper than the 6a I'm definitely interested in the years of software support. Most of my phone upgrades have been because of the software situation rather than any actual hardware issues. Google's Swedish store doesn't seem to sell phones though, the bastards, so I won't get the free wireless earbuds - so rude.
@@inicon7257 I've had my Mi Max 3 for three years and been mostly pleased with it, and I really liked my Redmi phone before that. But I started having software issues with my current phone like a year ago, and it's been getting almost unusably laggy these last couple of months. I've really liked my Xiaomi phones, and especially their battery lives (absolutely excellent), but I want a phone that will last longer. I'm not a fan of replacing tech every two years, you know? Especially when the hardware is all perfectly fine, it's so frustratingly wasteful. Three OS version updates and five years of security updates feels like a better bet just for that.
Looking to upgrade from a Huawei P30 Pro new edition and quite fancied the pixel range. Would it be worth going for the 6 or holding on for the 7 later in the year?
Hi, I like your channel, I've been watching it for around half an year while looking for the phone to buy. I've bought oneplus nord 2 and I'd really like to see comparison between this and pixel 6a. I've bought nord 2 for over 2x cheaper on amazon day and I wonder if that was a better purchase.
Hey Tech Spurt, I have a samsung A52S 5G and i want to upgrade but nothing seems worth it, any suggestions? It would be cool if you could make some videos for each phone out at the moment what we should upgrade to, thanks
With the trade in values they're giving rn($300 for OnePlus 8) and the free Pixel Buds, the 6a was the best deal for me. The camera is still gonna be an upgrade from my OP 8 and I already didn't have wireless charging so I won't miss that. I also usually keep my phone at 60Hz to save battery anyways.
@@RandomUser-tj3mg On paper maybe but not so much in actuality from my experience. One Plus is super slow compared to Google when it comes to software and security updates and the updates often introduce new issues instead of fixing the already existing ones. The camera, especially the front camera, produces worse photos than an old iPhone 7+ I just have laying around. I had a Pixel 4XL before the OP 8 and I honestly preferred it
im really torn with what to do at the mo. Ive a P30 pro thats in need of replacing. Do i wait for the pixel 7, bite the bullet and get a s22 ultra or even go back to iphone (shudder) so i dont think ill be doing the last one................ but what is the best? is there something else thats cheaper and better than the pixel and the ultra?
I've had my pixel 6 for about a week now with a thick screen protector on it and not had 1 issue yet with the fingerprint reader. Maybe it's an individual thing with types of fingerprint or how well you cover your entire print when doing the setup scans.
If only you spoke English. I liked and subed regardless. I just got the 6a and love it. I just downgraded from a s22 ultra cause I got tired of lugging it around
I've owned the Pixel 3a XL since it launched but the charging point is now starting to fail unfortunately! So I bought a 6 Pro about 3 weeks ago from the Google store - absolute pile of junk ... screen constantly freezes up, WiFi connection very intermittent, calls drop, no 4g service at all at work, camera white screens constantly... I have never had any of these issues on the 3a XL. The only good points were the 4x zoom and the under screen fingerprint sensor worked well. Incredibly disappointed with it, so returned to Google. I will wait till my 3a XL properly dies and then move to the dark side (iPhone 13 Pro) - I've always been an Android user but if this is the sort of junk Google produce now, they've lost me as a buyer
My pixel 6 pro doesn't have any of those problems. It's just too big and heavy for me since it turns out I really like to use phones with one hand, and it gets hot, but I live in a hot climate.
i've got the 6 pro, which i love but fancied a smaller phone for day to day use so pre-ordered the 6a. Looking forward to using it. Looks an awesome phone. PS The fingerprint scanner on the 6 pro works perfectly. As good as the S22 Ultra I had for a while.

Why do anyone need more than 128 gigs? I'm pretty sure u also use wired headphones lol.
I got the Pixel 6 last year and absolutely love it still to this day but I would go with the 6a, if I'm buying it now. I would have gotten the 6 a if it were an option at the time.
I have a s20... I chose it over the comparable pixel at the time... I hate Samsung 😑
@@vajidali530😂
I've owned the Pixel 6 for a few months now and have never had any problem with the fingerprint sensor. I especially love the convenience of having this sensor also on the lock screen.
The only annoying problem I've encountered is that my phone calls my business partner even if I'm not touching the phone, sometimes even in the middle of the night! - I can't figure out why it does this, and it only seems to call his number! - I'm sure he thinks I do it on purpose 🤣🤣
All in all it's another great phone from Google.
what about gaming bro pubg or cod smooth play
@@krksafin7762 If u wanna play games pick pro, it have 12 GB ram, 6 have just 8. Also, bigger screen is much better if u gaming.
Its ai Tensor programs sense that you have something important to say to them, so it makes the call.
Great comparison. Think i'll wait for the 7 series.
I don't see why the heck anyone needs wireless charging?
Used it once and never thought of using again.
Its just a feature that adds the phone to the category of premium smartphones and helps some guys to boast about it.
So glad you've made this video.
Glad to have come across your video. I’ve grown tired of my iPhone and eyeing to switch to Android. This is a deliberately insightful review. Thanks so much!
PS. got scared a bit cuz it’s bed time here then that doll popped out lmao
As someone who doesn't wireless charge and has never had a phone over 60Hz, I'm sold on the 6a!
Great video.
ty for ur tests, that helps me so much to choose a phone
What did u choice?
WHat phone did you choose?
Not many options if you want a phone with around 6¨ display,
Thanks for this. Exactly what I was searching for!
I love your reviews, and this was no exception. Love you Chris.
They selling it now for real value !!
Sadly for countries where they aren't that well established in manufacturing like India.. they are selling the bloody 6a for aprrox 500 pounds or 560 us dollars !!

Funny lad, and good review. Deserves the subscription
$670 for the Pixel 6a. Bought an Open Box 6 Pro for $700. Feeling good. Like I should. 😎
6a dosent cost 670$
Thankyou for making such a detailed comparison video. 🙏🏼
Welcome!
"captain bigcock" such a way with words I love it 😂😂😂
Hilarious reviews! And very informative too. Cheers!
I thought of booking it as it opened for pre book in India today. But, before I could finish watching all the review videos it's already sold out.
Lol love the Boris Johnson joke....great review as always Chris
I got my new Pixel 6a for $369 USD ... plus a free set of Google earbuds. Can't beat that.
Nice!

Great review as always !
Thank you very much , who is the girl in the background picture ?
The Pixel 6 has horrendous video capture. It has blotchy blacks in broad daylight, and struggles when changing between the sensors - dropping frames constantly. Not enough reviewers bring up the pixels unacceptable video performance.
You have become my favorite reviewer.
I've got the pro n I wouldn't change it for anything else, love everything about it, the size, screen etc..
Cool, I struggle with bigger phones but the screen was stunning, and that telephoto lens did come in handy
2 hours to charge the pixel 6a is the biggest let down😰
I own a realme x2 pro that only takes 20-25 minutes for a full charge
Noone cared abt this kind of side to side comparison thanks man so much 🙌🙌🙌
Take the Pixel 5 ! Its the best out of the bunch in Pixels. Why?
Great 90hz Refresh, Outstanding Portability and Weight, Great Back Camera for Nature Shots , Great battery, and Unlimited Storage of Photos and Videos in Cloud ( Even Pixel 6 Pro doesnt have it )
So For an Android Guy, Pixel 5 might be the one to go
Ps : I use iPhone as Primary and Pixel 5 as secondary for every other stuff which actually needs a Laptop
Nice review @techspurt !! May i know what wallpapers you use?
Waiting for the next Google 6a video before buying! But all the vids have been super helpful! Thanks!
Thanks for a great review . As much as i wanted to love the 6a i can`t , too many sacrifices so sticking with my Sammy A52s .
You know what the anime screen savers sold me I've subscribed
So if I am running really intensive apps for my business, Company Cam for instance, is the Pro worth it. That app particularly seems to crash a lot on my Pixel 5. It is slow enough now that it is effecting my sales calls, which is obviously bad. Thanks in advance for any answers!
My Cats burst the paddling pool every summer and drink out of it also!!!
I'm upgrading from the 4a to the 6a because of the $300 trade in which is absolutely unheard of!
Exactly. Just upgraded my son's 3a to 6a and still got 300 trade in for 3a
I've just purchased the pixel 6 Pro and it's awesome so impressed 👍
I was planning on the Xiaomi 11 Lite (etc), but while it's cheaper than the 6a I'm definitely interested in the years of software support. Most of my phone upgrades have been because of the software situation rather than any actual hardware issues.
Google's Swedish store doesn't seem to sell phones though, the bastards, so I won't get the free wireless earbuds - so rude.
Xiaomi 11Lite vs 6a how is best sir
Just returned Xiaomi 11t Pro... So far the work smartphone I ever had so won't recommend anything from its family
Best thing to do is just get the mi 11 lite 5g and slap pixel os on it. U can get updates for as many years as you want.

Jumping from Samsung S9 to Pixel 6 here in India (no warranty for me ofc sadly). Hope it is worth the risk !
Hey Tech Spurt, I have a samsung A52S 5G and i want to upgrade but nothing seems worth it, any suggestions?
It would be cool if you could make some videos for each phone out at the moment what we should upgrade to, thanks
Pixel 6a or 6 better than a52s 👍
With the trade in values they're giving rn($300 for OnePlus 8) and the free Pixel Buds, the 6a was the best deal for me. The camera is still gonna be an upgrade from my OP 8 and I already didn't have wireless charging so I won't miss that. I also usually keep my phone at 60Hz to save battery anyways.
Exactly. They are giving me more for my pixel 4 than I paid for it years ago. The buds are just icing on the cake.
Well OnePlus 8 is better in many areas
@@RandomUser-tj3mg On paper maybe but not so much in actuality from my experience. One Plus is super slow compared to Google when it comes to software and security updates and the updates often introduce new issues instead of fixing the already existing ones. The camera, especially the front camera, produces worse photos than an old iPhone 7+ I just have laying around. I had a Pixel 4XL before the OP 8 and I honestly preferred it

Pixel 7
I've had my pixel 6 for about a week now with a thick screen protector on it and not had 1 issue yet with the fingerprint reader. Maybe it's an individual thing with types of fingerprint or how well you cover your entire print when doing the setup scans.
Great comparisons thanks. So many rude innuendos! 😅
great review
If only you spoke English. I liked and subed regardless. I just got the 6a and love it. I just downgraded from a s22 ultra cause I got tired of lugging it around
Can you let me know where you got ur anime wallpapers? They are absolutely amazing
As always, great wallpaper
