I'm facing a few fears of mine by posting this video. It feels uncomfortable in the best way possible and I suppose that's how I know I'm heading in the right direction.
What are you afraid of doing this week? What feels "right" in your heart, but terrifies you to even imagine actualizing it? Is it even that bad? Or, are the stories in your head that you tell yourself about the situation, making it seem worse? Who knows? That's for each and every one of us to find out though. But, what's the worst that can happen? What would you do if you knew you couldn't "fail?"

Hi max, such an interesting video! The questions got me thinking.. if I knew I couldn't "fail", what would I do? I think I would let myself fall. I would let go of everything that holds me back and trust myself more. I would trust that if I would let myself fall, I would learn to fly. (would I even be able to fall if I couldn't fail? or is it not the falling that is the failing, but the moment we land and stop falling?)

To answer the question "what are you afraid of doing this week", I want to finally open up to someone about some things in my life that have been weighing down on me, things that I feel terrified to talk about but that I think I really should just talk about. I still don't know who I'm going to talk to about them, one of my friends for sure, but which one I've not yet decided. Am I going to do it face to face? Over video call? Will I cry? Do I want to cry? I won't be able to imagine how it'll go, that kind of terrifies me. I don't know how I'll begin to explain, how do you tell someone "I feel like my entire existence is a burden" how do you begin to explain something like that, in it's full details, to someone? To answer "what's the worst that can happen", nothing really. I know the person I chose to talk to will not judge me, and I know they'll be kind and sweet, I know they'll understand, but even still, it's so hard to do. It's terrifying. It just is.

Growing up is completely normal but we have to get ready to face tons of anxieties and get stressed out about what we wanted to be when we grow up. I became a breadwinner since 19 years old and now I’m 23 and still haven’t finished college yet. I've actually just started going to therapy and being really honest about what I'm going through (before I was going to therapy but barely saying anything honest) I can honestly say it has changed my life I feel so much more hopeful for my future now and to any of you going back and forth on wether or not to try or stick with therapy I can honestly say it will pay of ten fold. I also know finding the right therapist for you is difficult but they are out there and you will eventually find them:)

this was a really insightful video, yet at the same time, it feels like you're really treading on a thin line of authenticity, almost as if the story itself loses meaning you know what i mean? really enjoyed the video though, vonzy being vonzy is too funny to watch

How authentic can you be when you're being paid to say something? Can you even call something like that authentic anymore? Or, does it immediately lose all hope of being authentic once there are other ulterior motives brought into play? How authentic can something feel when your audience knows you're being paid? Is it even possible to ever be authentic on RUclips? Is editing something inherently inauthentic? Is anything but a 24/7 livestream of my life inauthentic? How are you defining authenticity? How might you define authenticity differently from someone else? There are so many good questions here and I hope I was able to spark some of them by posting this video. Your comment is one of the reasons why I wanted to challenge myself to post this video. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

@@MaxReisinger Literally the other day I was drafting a script about authenticity and censorship. What it's supposed to mean and how exactly to go about it. I realized that so far my only approach has been to manipulate myself as authentic enough to fool others and fake enough to fool myself. On paper, the right answer would be something along the lines of "staying true to yourself" and/or "what you believe in". That doesn't seem objectively right either because beliefs aren't usually accurate depictions of reality (which maybe isn't a bad thing).
I wouldn't classify a daily vlogger who uploads every event of his life as being "authentic", maybe that's subjective and just something I don't enjoy watching, and maybe I just want to watch someone being authentic enough to make me care, about the scenario, about the person, about the story.
I came to a realization while writing this; I guess the authenticity we look for has to be in the emotion, value, and intention that we want to inspire.
