it's actually helpful when you make a little mistake (or have to figure out something right on camera) because it shows how to correct and navigate settings, thanks!
Informative videos like this are one of the very few reasons why I still stick to this endlessly greedy platform. I appreciate the effort and very well done!
Ahah!! Thank you. 😉
😂 💯
I didn't realise how easy it was to set a go to. Thankyou 👍🏻
Thank you for this! Great video.
Brilliant and comprehensive guide for my Fenix 7x. Thank you

Thanks Yatin! :)
Hello, and thank you for detailed video. I would like to ask two questions, maybe anyone has experience. I have purchased a Tactix 7 pro (sapp+sol) a week ago but did not find the "Always on display" feature, so I can use only the lowest brightness which is 5% (not able to select 0%). I actually would like to completely turn off display while I sleep, without shutting down the watch. Is there an option or is there an "Always on display" feature somewhere which I did not find on my watch? My second question is about battery lifetime. I have tested the battery saver mode for 3 days, and the battery went down 5%, so the 90 days in battery saver mode is not really accurate in this calculation. I didn't do anything with the watch during that time, and completely turn off wifi, notifications, etc. Is my watch battery defected or is it normal? Any experience? Thanks.
Well the tactix have an MIP screen. So it does not produce light to broadcast the image. This is why there is no option to turn off the display. You have to look at the backlight setting to adjust the intensity of it. See that video : ruclips.net/video/ujKNf5FNz_w/видео.html
This one about the MIP screen should also interest you.
About the battery time, it probably is the backlight that drain a bit more your battery.
Très bonnes informations merci. Boy the screen on the EPIX is amazing. Do you know if you can put any different kinds of maps on the watch and not only the one that comes with it? I was thinking like back road map books or City navigation.
Salut Stephane merci! I know that there is a website that do make all OSM map available for garmin watches.
So yes technically you can connect the watch with USB on your computer and dump the map file into there.
But for my experience, I never felt the need to as the Garmin maps inside are very well done for about everything.
Oh. And all my videos are available in french too. 😉
Thanks for the update. Would you happen to know what the website name is. Ps je vais aller voir tes autres vidéos en français. .
Hoe do you get vo2 max for running and Cycling on the widget. I only see running vo2 max on my epix pro gen 2
The green flashlight is for hunters. If you are trying to track the blood trail of wounded game at night, the blood appears black in the green light.
Interesting. Thanks for the info!
That’s not true. Green light is for map reading.
Have Epix 2 and loving it. But tactix 7 looks is unbeatable. Just looks so good. Actually kinda taunting me to buy one. Dont know if its a good idea to put 1100 dollar on it. But absolutely love the looks of it. Im just worried that new version might be released and it will drop in price.
I would be suprise to see a new to see a new generation of fenix before at least a year and a half.
About the look my favorite is the Tactix.
I bough a femix 7x pro last week and the tactic 7 amoled came out 4 days later so i bough it haha
Ahah!! Surely a great watch. I personally prefer MIP screen howerver.
But the tactix is my favorite watch.
I recently purchased a fenix 7s and noticed that the device is having difficulty with calculating walking routes to a destination. So when I use the navigate option to pick a point where I wanna go and have it calculate a route for me, it takes a very long time to do so, up to a couple of minutes for routes of 20km. If I navigate biking routes, it’s a little faster but certainly not the mere seconds that yours seems to take. I believe you’re using the Tactix in this demonstration? Do you know whether this is simply a hardware difference or does it have to do with settings?
Hum. I did not see any diference in time calculation between all of the series 7 watch. I believe they are exactly the same inside. Strangely I can't explain why it would be slower to calculate walking route.
@@HowToPM Right now, the watch can't navigate me walking to a randomly picked city 60 km over. It says 'This will take a long time to calculate'. Can your fenix 7 do this without issue?
See you have almost all, 2 questions i know will be piece of cake for you, a silicon protector will fit both Phoenix 7x and Enduro 2? And are they recommendable? Thanks a lot
I don't use any protection on my watch. But the enduro is slightly more thick.
Hi. Did that watch have autodetect activity like bike or walking and did he have auto pause and auto start. Thx
I never use it but I think there is auto-pause. But there is no auto start that is for sure. You need to select your activity when you start it that is for sure.
Hoi what is the name of the watch face you sho in the demonstration, Cool video
Hi! Well I don't know the name cause all the watchface I use are always built in the watch. I never ever downloaded a watchface nor visit the connect IQ store.
how do you delete created faces from your watch.? its removed from app but still on watch!
Hum. I never tried it. In fact I never install anything from the app. So I never had to uninstall anything.
I don't know about created but dowloaded from connect iq store you can remove directly in this app on your watch. Factory watch face that was edited can be removed in the context menu of the watch face.
Can I turn off the screen when not using it?
On amoled model yes you can.
On MIP it would be useless.
Howerver you can fully turn off the watch if you would like.
The fenix 7x sapphire solar watch has a major drawback, the screen in the menu as well as the messages that arrive when the phone is connected to the watch are set to black background and pale blue text (due to the poor finish of the sapphire glass, there is no white color, but pale blue color) and that text is hard to read. There is no option like on older models of garmin watches to change the background to be white or pale gray and the text to be black, which would be more legible. (Inverter color or display color setting). As soon as you sweat a little around your eyes during activities, you can't see clearly, or if you have a smaller (+ eye diopter) for reading, which most people over 40 have the same problem, you strain to read what is written on the screen. Otherwise, the watch is excellently made, but this problem with the screen and the lack of an option to set the background to be white or gray and the text to be black, which is more pleasant and legible for the eye, makes the garmin fenix 7x sapphire solar watch unusable for many people and if not documents in some software update the watch is a complete and utter failure. I found a lot of the same comments in several forums which says that the problem is not innocuous.
Interesting. I never had trouble to read it. Maybe you could try to increase the backlight.
But yea, inverting the colour would have been a great idea.
I never tested if it is possible to do.
Thank you for your comment.
Yes I agree I returned my fenix7 x sapphire solar and got the epix 2 DLC titanium and it’s a different league in the screen department.
@@TheZanshen I tried Epix but constant dimming drove me nuts. I don't use a watch like this to read messages, I want that truly always on MIP display available all the time and readable outside. Epix is good if you use it indoors as a smartwatch but for outdoors it's Fenix all the way :)
@@ted363636 Hi I have no problem with the epix out doors and I came from an Apple Watch 7 so the Fenix display was disappointing. Any way I use the epix with aod turned off and gesture only as it’s for fitness and I wear my diver on the left wrist for telling the time
@@TheZanshen yeah I ran away from Apple Watch with its gesture mode. I like MIP displays because they remind me of real watches, not smartphones. I don't even use smart features, just the sports functions so we're completely different users. Hopefully Garmin will continue to make both types of watches and everyone will be happy :)
