Amazing video. Thanks a lot for putting time and effort into this. I have another aspect I would like to add regarding plastic vs metal watch cases. I think that plastic cases are superior in terms of providing better GPS acquisition/accuracy (but this is somehow debatable). But one other aspect where I think these outshine the metal ones is HR accuracy by being lighter and way more comfortable to wear resulting in less bounce during activity. Also, in the cold season, I experienced that the HR accuracy of my metal watch suffered due to the metal pressing cold against my skin causing my veins to “hide”. The plastic case having different thermal properties has no such issues and I get very good readings even in quite cold weather. Thanks 😊
That is an intersting perspective I didn't think of, except for the GPS part but I always had good resut anyway. I would have to compare in those extreme cold. Thank you for your comment Clita! :)
The accuracy of the altimeter has zero bearing on anything you’d need to know your altitude for while on foot, wearing a sport watch. Anyone who needs sub 1M accurate would be carrying an altimeter that is frequently calibrated and certified. I doubt anyone would take the time to recalibrate their watch. So, some of these criticisms are misplaced for a wearable like a Garmin.
1:18:08 Pascal, I understand you right? My Garmin Tactix can work completely without the App on Phone and also without any Garmin account? By the way, what do mean exactly with add and extract data with just an usb-cable? You don't need any separate App to interchange the data?
Great video! Hello from Romania! What I like at these watches is that I can set the sea level pressure for weather monitoring. By default is set to station level pressure and this is good for the altimeter. For weather (cyclones, fronts passing etc.) is better to set the sea level pressure.
Hi Pascal, thank you for an amazing video! Very comprehensive and detailed descriptions. Best video I have seen 👏. I am looking at getting the Enduro line from Garmin but might wait for the Enduro 3 to come out.
Ahah!! Thank you very much. I would be suprise to see a Enduro 3 any time soon but possibly a enduro 2 pro with the recent releaese of the fenix model.
Wow I can’t believe that a 2 hours video was soooo interesting and on point! You made me choose now after a long investigation 🤙🏼🤙🏼 Amazing video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤴🏼🤴🏼
Hey man, I watch a lot of gadget video reviews etc.. but yours top it all off! Very informative and entertaining!! Thanks for your quality videos my guy!🤙🏾
Wow after watching a few minutes of your video I now have more information than after watching dozens of videos. You are very thorough which helps hugely. I wanted a smoked dip lay for my new watch, but this MIP sounds better. I am moving from a Samsung smartwatch which I have to charge nearly every day. The weeks of battery life sounds better. I will definitely finish the video when I have more time to watch. You are the most thorough with your reviews, just outstanding!
Thank you so much! I'm glad it is helpfull. I'll be glad to see you again when you continue the video. I'm not sure of getting what you mean by ''smoked dip''.
Watched the whole 2:06:12 of this video. Longest watch video I ever watched, and never lost interest, though did some things in between, while pausing the video.
Thank you for sending me the link to your video. I now have an idea what Garmin has to offer. I have been watching videos and resigned myself to having to wait till I get the smartwatch. You are awesome, great info that makes sense.
Hi Pascal. Am thinking of getting a Garmin Fenix 6X sapphire in 2023( very good price). What do you think? Does it still have some years left. Banging on your thoughts. Thanks 👍🏽
Absolutely. If you are looking for an amazing watch at a great price, previous garmin model is a very good idea. You might enjoy that video where I do compare the new and previous model : ruclips.net/video/gLWRgeaPvTI/видео.html
in the same price should i buy instinct 2 solar or fenix 6x, because the fenix is more smart watch then the instinct, i need help because why should in dont buy the fenix 6x already if its the same Price?
The fenix 6 is of course more complete and get a way better display. Probably the Instinc two will give you a bit more battery life, but you will get mapping with the fenix 6. Personally I would go with the fenix :) You can get it here : geni.us/GarminFenix6xSaphire
@@HowToPM Thanks for the quick reply! I’m having a difficult time deciding. I wish there was a store to try the watches on to see if they are too big on my wrist. My wrist is 7” round. I’m about to buy Fenix 7x, enduro 2 or standard Fenix 7 Solar sapphire.
If that can help, I did ended up keeping this one : geni.us/Enduro2Garmin Mais reason is the flashlight, and battery. I still don't like it's color but no regret yet.
🤣 this man is wearing the equivalent of a Honda Accord in sports watches 😂
🤣
awesome video, man!!!
Ahah thanks! :)
Wow, you did the same video in both French and English - way to go Pascal 😎👍
Ahah! Yes I do most of my videos in both language. That one was a lot of work. 😂

I don't go to 5-star restaurants, so my screen protector does me just fine, thank you. 🤣😉

@@HowToPM great reviews, by the way.👍🏻

Is the Fenix 7x flashlight brighter than an iPhone flashlight?
I would say that it's around the same brightness but more diffused.
The flashlight of the Enduro 2 however is brighter.
