  • In this video I will show how to navigate with the Navigate feature on the the new Garmin 7 Pro Ballistics. I will go through how the app works from the Flight Planning, Points of interest, Back to start, Courses, Round trip courses, Activities, Saved locations, Sight n go, Coordinates, and Use map functions. I will also show how to save your location with the hot keys, name them and choose an icon and how to delete them as well. Also how to change and select the different coordinate systems within the watch.
    I hope you like the tutorial if you have any questions ask them in the comments. Thanks for watching, please like subscribe and hit the notifications bell so you won't miss future videos.

    If I press show positions does it show me a street or an address? (Police officer here be good for foot pursuits when lost).

    • @bcextremeoutdoorsman
      @bcextremeoutdoorsman  Год назад

      Hi Tyler, If you go to maps and zoom all the way in it will give you your position and show the street names and you will be able to get your bearings from there. Thanks for watching, the comment and doing what you do, thank you, take care and be safe out there.

      LEO here too. Fire/EMS as well. Was hoping I could punch in addresses for mutual aid runs in other cities, kind of mind blowing that such a capable watch can’t even search an address🙄

    Can you use this navigation on the water? I was on a jetski today and we wanted to go down a few smaller sections but I want to see if this would work on a canal/river?

    • @bcextremeoutdoorsman
      @bcextremeoutdoorsman  11 месяцев назад +2

      Hi Hoss1man, I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to navigate on water with it. I would almost want to use my phone connected to to the watch to see bigger map. Just don’t drop your phone. Thanks for watching and the comment, take care and be safe.

    But can you use it without a phone if needed? For OPSEC or is it reliant on the phones data/internet/gps?

    • @bcextremeoutdoorsman
      @bcextremeoutdoorsman  2 года назад +6

      It does not need a phone, internet or data. It will work on its own, but it’s tough to use as the mapping is small on the watch. But it is totally doable. Thanks for watching and the comment, take care.

    • @bcextremeoutdoorsman
      @bcextremeoutdoorsman  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Paul. I don’t think you can. I’m not even sure if you can with the app. Call garmin they are very helpful, they will be able to answer that question for you.
      I know you can pin a location and the watch will guide you there. But I don’t think you can add a street address. Thanks for watching and the comment, take care.
