Good to hear the 800-mile trip is getting closer… looking forward to the content you’ll share about it. On the Tuesday after Memorial Day I visited with Ben and Melissa at Trail Buddy and mentioned you may stop in either before or after the trip around Lake Michigan, as you’ve said in an earlier video. I’m sure they’ll be more than glad to see you.
@@MiniBikeMike Oh, that sounds like you had thought of possibly leaving your vehicles parked at or near TB in Zeeland, then ride the 91-miles on the bikes to Ludington and the S.S. Badger dock?
@@donsoule6411 We’re crossing the lake at Muskegon and the Lake Express Ferry. I’m not sure where we’re staying on Wednesday night, but I think it’s in the Muskegon area.
@@MiniBikeMike Wow, The Lake Express sounds like it will add a lot of excitement to the trip and speedy crossing to Milwaukee, WI.. Here’s wishing all the best that your planning goes as-well-as possible.
I really enjoy the realness of your videos, you are happy to show the stuff ups... that's the reality of a workshop regardless of how good you are and real people relate to that. Nice work!
Thanks. I quit watching regular TV about 15+ years ago. I switched to watching RUclips, because I felt it was real people, doing real things, in their own garage. None of that “made up” drama of the network car/bike shows. When I decided to start my own channel, I made a vow to be as real as possible. I appreciate the kind words.
You're doing the Lord's work, Mike! My two brothers and I pooled our paper route money back in the 1970s and bought one of these CT 70s used. We completely abused it, doubt we even ever changed the oil for the 3 to 5 years that it ran (Who knew? Certainly not my Dad!) , and had loads of fun riding it in some local woods. Many fond memories. Where the heck is Martinsville?
Great job on that bike! Another one saved from the parts pile. Can you tell me what size heat shrink tubing you used to re-sleeve the cables and where you purchases it from?
@@MiniBikeMike fair doos to your dad..I learnt all I know on these bikes from my dad. There's no better feeling than when the bikes come to life again after years of laying dormant.
Hi Mike! Great video. Again, amazing to see the transformation of a total pos to a fantastic ripper of a mini bike! What an excellent value for someone to have and ride. Mike, you hold the true spirit of what these bikes are all about. Having fun and working with what you got!
Mike, do you have any promo code's with any of these vendors you talk about ? asking because I have purchased from a few of them because of you. 70 is coming out and 125 is going in. so before i start ordering from these vendors again I'd like you to get some credit for the purchase.
Need a little help Mike, identifying the back of a CT70 switches the ignition switch on a 69 ko show me what it looks like the back of a 1974 with blinkers show me the back of the ignition switch wiring pattern and what it looks like but most importantly, the one that I need 1977 can’t find any photos, pictures of wiring on back of key switch can you please put those in a video it will help everybody
When I see that I have 20 new subscription vids up and ready to watch… I always select MiniBike Mike first! I can’t be the only one 😅
Thanks. I appreciate that you watch.
Great video! Awesome to see another one rescued from rusting away and up and running. Ready for someone to enjoy!
Thanks. It’s a fun little bike.

I don’t know if we’ll be stopping by TB, since I was just there a few weeks back. We found out that the ferry offers parking for $5 a day.

Another awesome video, looking forward to more builds 👍
Thanks 👍
Enjoyed the video Mike. Another one saved and hopefully will soon provide someone many hours of fun!
Thanks. I went today and filed the paperwork to get a title for it.
Great job! Turned out really nice.
Thanks. I went today and applied for a title.
Turned out great
That 110 engine sounds nice 👍🏾
It runs pretty good. I went today and filed the paperwork to get a title for the bike.

Martinsville is 40 minutes south of Indianapolis and 20 minutes north of Bloomington, IN.
That speed run was frickin kickin' Mike 😅 . She runs like a Swiss watch ! Nice job ...Love these little bikes . I'll have one one day !
She’s a runner. I left the stock 35T rear sprocket. I think if it were dropped to a 33T, it might hit 55mph.

Thanks. Best of my memory, the shrink tube came from eBay……a long time ago.
Great video, fair doos bud you’ve saved another. Hope the other 23 will come back alive again too.
I think we can save most of them. My dad, who is 83, took one of them and is rebuilding it.

Also turning the key on, don't forget to turn on the kill switch. Or you'll be stuck for hours wondering what happened.
Fortunately, this model doesn’t have a kill switch. Just have to remember to turn on the key!
Mike please send an Amazon link for the air pod filter used on the nibbling carb thanks

He's got too many and I don't have any!
Thousands of these bikes out there. If you want one, ya just gotta do what I do and come off the cash and buy one.
How muc hp to the backwheel do you think those Lifans put out? Around 7-8?
Really don’t know. I’d say your guess is in the correct range.

Someone (a RUclipsr) dyno’d a YX 140 in a CT-70 K0…
It produced 10.34 RWHP @ 8500 RPM and 7.44 ft lb Torque @ 4500 RPM.
We just talked about the key issue🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The K0 has a triangular base. The K1 and later are square. Is there a difference between K1 thru 78 switches?
@@MiniBikeMike they say 77 in CT70 ignition switch is all by itself?
Where did you get your engine?
