The correct term is hoser, eh, and if he replaces Angus I expect the video of Angus being fired to be posted, preferably filmed during another excursion to visit Possum Lake....
Mike's smiles and joy at the end was the icing on the cake at the for this video. Considering it took 2.5 years to make happen I was a little worried we'd not get that happy ending. That's in no way meant to knock you young men and the fact you did it all free of charge is truly heart warming. Take care and God bless...
Dude Kevin this channel has 100% come together for me. Kevin you have the perfect narrator voice and such a fun demeanor. Having Angus and Ezra in the videos is just money. You guys are so entertaining and make this stuff so much fun! Been watching a long long time and man I so appreciate when you guys sometimes slow it up and deep dive on how something works and how to fix or replace it. This is quality and so so much respect for how y’all could get any damn thing to run, road, water, trails, anything!
100% ....I'm NOT a car guy, but somehow he has roped me in with his personality and humor. I've learned a ton from him (that I'll likely never use) it's been a joy to watch his channel grow!
I honestly can’t believe he just let you take it home for 2 years and he trusted you guys that you would bring it back or I may just have trust issues lol
It's that Midwest kindness. I'm from the northeast and visit Missouri once a year. I definitely feel like I have trust issues when I visit but just realize everyone is just really kind.
The one thing I love about this channel is you guys enjoy fixing stuff for people and you don't charge them anything. People helping people is a great thing
These smaller revivals are fantastic and having friends like Ezra is great. Great video and troubleshooting. Plus like Ezra said it’s just friggin fun, you spent a day and got this thing running and plastered a huge smile on the owner’s face. He turned into a kid instantly.
The sound of that motor running gave me flashbacks to 1980-1981. Three-wheelers really are dangerous. I was one of those kids that got my leg under the tire after my foot bounced off the foot peg while going too fast down a gravel road. It ran over my back as my face skidded through the gravel. So much fun! Kids today don't know what they're missing. 😂🤣😂
Their only Dangerous to People that don't know how to ride them and that's what got them Banned in the USA. I grew up in the 3-Wheel Mania of Early to Mid Eighties when everybody and their Brother could go out and Buy these not knowing how to ride and getting injured or Killed. Yes, they are Harder to ride than a Quad or a Dirt Bike, but if you know how to use Body English in the Turns and Off Camber they were a Blast.
They're only dangerous to those who don't know how to ride them! Trikes are basically all I ride lol now mind you I've had a few tip overs in my day but that only happens when I go out of my comfort zone and push myself too far lol nothing beats a honda 3 wheeler!
How fun. The Honda ATC. The 70, 90, 110 , the 185’s, and the big red. And then the three wheeler that killed them all… the 250R. That and the Yamaha tri-Z. And the 4 wheeler was born. The 110 was a fun ATC with the Honda 3 speed clutch less transmission. The only flaw was the suspension was the air pressure in the tires. 😄 You guys saved an absolute treasure!
I may have cried just a little there at the end (but in a very manly way, of course)! Good on you for restoring Mike's little Honda, and getting it back to him so he can enjoy it once again! GREAT video! A+++++
Who was cutting onions at the end of the video? My eyes were watering a little bit..but yeah seeing Mike’s smile and riding the 3 wheeler , the joy in his voice when he talked about letting his grandkids ride it, and not charging any money for restoring it for him , awesome, just awesome.
My first experience with a three wheeler was a buddy's Honda 110, he used to whip us around on the snow with a 15 foot strap tied to an innertube. Good memories!
Reminds me of my old 84 honda 200s atc I had as a teen. Found it just the same sitting in a yard and the person said if I could move it I can have it. I pushed that sucker down a hill with all flats. Lol😂 haven't seen it in over 15 years.
This brings back memories. Growing up we had a 1977 or 1978 ATC70 and then in 1980 Mom and Dad surprised us with a brand new ATC110! I wish I knew how many miles us kids put on those wheelers. Woke up in the morning and they pretty much ran all day. I remember one time we had to sand the points. In 1997 we sold the farm. Wheelers went with the farm. I have no idea what ever happened to them.
So cool to see Ezrah again ... he, "PBG" Dalton, Tom, John, and Angus (together or on their own, or mixed and matched with all of your other gearhead cronies) always make for great interaction, awesome content, add Mook, along with you Kevin, and your straight up freekin' hilariously funny yet instructive babbles of information always make the wait for the next vid just too damn long... so getting 2 vids in a week is a welcome bonus. Peace out, from Doc, in the Great White (yup, it's gettin' white again) North of southern Ontario, Canada🦫🦫🟥🍁🟥 .... BTW, listening to you and Ezrah doing your "North Country" or Minnesota/Wisconsin accents reminds me of when I lived in Thunder Bay, Ontario... there are a shit ton of folks there and in the area southwest of T-Bay that sound JUST like that...lmfao.
I'm so glad you uploaded this! My neighbor down the street offered his Honda ATC200 for $350 CAD so like 275? USD and I kind of want to buy it but I know nothing about fixing it. It isn't even seized!
@@Lane-jq3ed after watching this I am thinking I might do it, unfortunately I don't have a storage unit full of spare 3 wheeler parts lol. It needs a front tire at least, the bars and stuff are a bit bent from a rollover and it turns over but there's a bit of water coming out with each pull of the cord 😅
I agree. Torch tip cleaners are my go to for carb jets as well. They are the best tool that I have found, besides an old wire brush that I pull the bristles out of.
Loved this episode!! Made me miss my long gone Honda 250XL Street/Trail Bike. Bought it new in 77' when I was 19. Joined the Air Force a year later and then left it in my parents basement for 18 months while I was stationed in Okinawa. Returned back, put the battery back in, gave it one kick and it started like it hadn't been sitting in a dark damp basement. Wish I had never sold it. Course, I'm 66 now and too old to ride.
Your never too old to ride always remember that I don't care if I'm ready to kroke I'll be out ridding till the day I go to heaven as of I go to heaven hint..but yeah I love my toys..
@bernardowens1648 I'm so sorry to hear that you can only do so much hope you feel better take a lot walks and keep moving git exercise when you can it helps a lot...👍🏻
@anthonycoach4551 yeah, with the multiple strokes, I've developed Neuropathy in my feet which is not only causing constant foot pain, it also causes severe instability while walking. Both feet are practically numb and with little sense of feeling, your brain can't tell when more pressure needs to be applied to which leg for equilibrium. I walk with a cane but am a severe fall risk anytime I'm on my feet. Just a matter of time before I'm doing a commercial for "LifeAlert". Lol
@bernardowens1648 😆I'm sorry I had to laugh I'm so sorry hear about that my 1 uncle that passed away had Neuropathy in his legs and feet also he couldn't hardly stand up it was bad then he wound up in a rest home and developed slight dementia and a staff infection and died from it he just passed away the middle of summer this year it was my dad's brother..took it hard for a little while but ok now..he was only 80 years old my dad is 85 he has sciatica in his lower back but still moves around..I hope u git better with therapy...
That was a very kind thing you two guys did for your friend Mike. Even if it took some time to do, it's the though that counts. Another amazing video and the reason we keep on watching this incredible channel!
The torch tip cleaner is nice, but if you have a buddy who plays the guitar, go over to his house with wire snips and ask if you can trim the "whiskers" on the tuning head. It doesn't affect the guitar, and the small pieces of metal wire fit very nicely in the orifices of most carburetors. And if his guitar has nylon strings, you really need to choose your friends better, eh. Another great video!
One of my favorite tricks learned watching these style videos is to always keep a dollar on me. Sounds crazy but you can use it to clean the points on the distrubtor after sanding. 🤘 Rock on love the videos from Missouri
That brings back some memories. I had a 250 back in the day. A friend managed to flip it on top of himself and broke a collarbone. Ah... Memories... They're pretty much illegal to sell new these days, so all we have are these old ones. It's good to see one running again. Now if only they bring back lawn darts.
The screw heads are always stripped because guys use Philips screwdrivers on JIS ( Japanese Industry Standard ) screws. Honda ATC’s are great well worth saving.
So when I was 9 for Christmas my parents bought me a brand new Suzuki lt80 quad for Christmas. My neighbor and best friend who was a year younger then me. Got the 72cc version of this 3 wheeler. His was definitely faster and it had a 3 speed where my was automatic. To give you reference to the year I was born in 86. So like this was 1995 I think. I'll never forget the first time riding. And then going next door to his house to see him ride his. He drove up from his house to the alley all in first gear. Down into the house next door that was empty and decrepit straight to the house wide open and right through the back door into the screened in porch. His dad freaked out. Afterwards he was fine for whatever reason. Needless to say. We drove the crap out of them both. Good memories for sure..
I daydream about all of you having a huge collaboration with the corn, Cole The Cornstar, the equipment, and a bunch of folks riding on trikes filming the planting/harvest.
I knew it would run. Me and my cousin got his old 185 running, it had seized from overheating, we stuffed it in gear and rocked it back and forth until it finally broke free, far as I know it still runs
Great revival, and a nice thing you did for Mike! Ezra, riding out of the shed holding the gas-tank, looked like "Diogenes in Search of an Honest Man"...on wheels!
I don't know which was better. The smile on mike's face when he was riding it and wanting to share with his grandkids....or the high 5 at the end....the pride you guys felt at that moment.....Oh Ya!!! Dat was Werth it!!! Great job guys!!!
I bought my Honda 250 ES shaft drive three wheeler in 1985 brand new, it’s never been in the shop and still runs great! A year ago I put new tires and brakes on it and I just changed the choke cable! The start button quit working so I put a heavy duty button on it, push the but and choke it and it fires right up every time! One thing is the kick start is kinda stripped out and I have to kick it and hold it until it quits spinning and the next kick it cranks up! You can’t kill em!
Not surprised at all I expected as much. when I watched the intro. I thought you would take it home do what you did and get it back to him for his birthday 24 hours later.
my dad bought a brand new Honda ATC 185 in 1980 or so. It had the big balloon tires and solid front forks. I was 10-11 at the time and rode that thing every chance i got, even until my thumb went numb riding in the winters. Good job on saving an old ATC!
I got an 86 honda rebel 250 at an old Danish farmers estate auction that was around fertilizer since 2001. We drove it home from the auction with his old helmet. I shined it up with steel wool and Walmart wd40. Some clearcoat and a ceramic coating, and it's beautiful 😅. I wish he could see it!
Kevin, when people send you amazingly useful items like that gasket set you should write their name on it and give them a shoutout. I promise that I'm not trying be a dork, but that would be really cool of you to give thanks to those who help you out. Edit: I'm sorry bud, that sounded really rude on my part, but I don't mean to be ignorant. It was just a suggestion.
I started out working on old mopeds etc and a little thing I ended up researching and finding for corrosion removal is phosphoric acid which can be bought in large containers then diluted, saved me trying to get in all the little fins on the cylinders and in the tank. Just generally useful and used properly is just a corrosion remover for most metals. Not sure this is new info or useful but its certainly efficient compared to buying rust converters that need a small mortgage to afford :) Loving the content as always lads, blows my mind as someone from the UK.
They're known for being dangerous because the average person would try to ride one like an ATV and roll it over because its a trike. The singular front wheel makes it tippy when you make hard turns at high speeds. If you understand how to shift your weight on it they were perfectly safe to operate. But like I said, people that didn't know how to ride them crashed them and called them dangerous.
@@ville-pekkaihamaki1166 they go a lot faster than what was seen on the video. You also saw how when someone like Kevin got on and sat a little farther back on the seat made it wheelie when he shifted gears. The trikes were originally meant to fulfill the UTV role. Low range for pulling trailers, high range for road travel or trail riding. And while yes, let's call it 20 mph, may seem slow it's more than enough to cause it to tip or roll. The other thing to remember is the trikes don't weigh hardly anything, so there's not much to keep them grounded. You know the three wheeled motorcycles you see old people riding on the road? They have two wheels in the front and one in the rear because it's way more stable, unlike the Honda's. Like I said in my last comment, they're not hard to control if you know how to ride them but are still more likely to roll/crash than any ATV.
So awesome to see people still having things there parents bought them when they were kids. He was a lucky little guy to get this for his birthday. My parents got me plenty of motorized things over the years. Unfortunately with moving I didn't keep any. Only 2 years ago I found a 1979 stepside that was the same style and color as the one my father had when I was in grade 10. I bought it and have enjoyed Sharing the new memories with my daughters. Hopefully this winter I get a 502 engine to put in it in the spring
What a great restoration. 2 ideas as you like to work on these old machines on a budget. 1 plastic stapler/welder is a great way to repair those plastics. It is much faster and easier with a better finish. Less than $20.00. Also if you add ATF to those old dry rotted tires they will swell on the inside and prevent slow air leaks. I have been doing this for years on dry rotted tires and they hold for years. Thank you for sharing.
I know how life can get in the way of stuff like this. I took an antique mower from a friend of mine and told him I would get it running for him. I got it running, but two years later, I still haven't gotten it to run right. It happens sometimes.
Makes me want to go ride mine. Got an 83 Big red 200e with Hi/Lo range and electric start no reverse but chain drive so much better than having to replace the shaft drive cause if you break one of those good luck finding one for decent price. I've got a stripped rear axle on the left side but that's all Runs like New still. Gotta love an old Honda ATC.
I grew up on a Honda atc125M and my best buddy had a atc 110. We have some wonderful memories from these machines. And just in case you were wondering. Yes. They do float!
I’m happy yall. Got the 78 corvette my brother has to run again. Cant believe it was the fact that the positive and negative got flipped for why it stopped running. The red cables were ground for the battery. But after a fried hei module and coil we got it running and then had a scare as it was full of water and not coolant and nearly froze the block when it dropped below freezing. Should be good I got water to flow through the whole block and slush to come out too. It still runs and runs like it did before this mess
I had a 110 as a kid, it was a wore out irrigating rig on the ranch, so I drug it out of the barn, and got it running. Ran it with the choke on the whole time I had it because my dad told me if I took the carb off, I would never get it back together. I remember the muffler was rotted out, so Dad welded up a piece of galvanized pipe for an exhaust, and that probably contributed to my hearing loss.

I daydream about all of you having a huge collaboration with the corn, Cole The Cornstar, the equipment, and a bunch of folks riding on trikes filming the planting/harvest.
Nice one Kevin it looks amazing and that gentleman will have adventures with grandkids
Hell yeah brother perfect timing for this snowy Saturday morning
Seeing Kevin on the 110 reminds me of pictures of Andre the giant riding his 200 big Red
Happy to see a fellow smiling like that makes ya feel good
Those old Honda 3 wheelers are tough af. I'm glad you young guys saved her.
Hells yeah!! Another Junkyard Digs this week!!?!?! I’ll take it!!! Thank you for the awesome content !
I knew it would run. Me and my cousin got his old 185 running, it had seized from overheating, we stuffed it in gear and rocked it back and forth until it finally broke free, far as I know it still runs
This just made my week, count them two JYD videos plus Dalton and this one is a blast from the past, how time doth fly lol.
One of my favorite vids in a long time! Mike was so happy! Great work fellas!
It took a while, but you fellers done good! Thank You for making someone happy!
The look on the older man’s face when he took off was priceless
4:14 what are you gonna use them slicks for Kevin ? 😂😂
Great revival, and a nice thing you did for Mike! Ezra, riding out of the shed holding the gas-tank, looked like "Diogenes in Search of an Honest Man"...on wheels!
I was just rewatching the 250 SX video, and I think you should help Ezra save that green squarebody at his cabin.
Really awesome Kevin and Ezra for getting the 3 wheeler running for him. He looks like he was thinking he was a young boy again when he got on it.
Well done! I too was not thinking it was going to recover that well and that quickly.
I don't know which was better. The smile on mike's face when he was riding it and wanting to share with his grandkids....or the high 5 at the end....the pride you guys felt at that moment.....Oh Ya!!! Dat was Werth it!!! Great job guys!!!
Another video all in one week yay
Use a light bulb and crocodile clips ,Sideshow Digs. It never lies.
You and Dylan need to race your mustang 2s
Don’t forget Dalton
His smile at the end was great, could tell how much memories came back for him!! Great video.
I remember when you guys found that thing. I never thought we'd see it again lol.
good day guys at timestamp 45:51 you can see the joy in his face as he takes off for the first time in so many years of the bike sitting
Was hoping we would get to see Mike driving it. Not disappointed.
You’ve outdone yourself with this one! Absolute banger.
Great video!
This might be one of my favorites. Watching Mike ride that thing after so long has a fat smile on my face.
Are those popular because they are so dangerous?
They're known for being dangerous because the average person would try to ride one like an ATV and roll it over because its a trike. The singular front wheel makes it tippy when you make hard turns at high speeds. If you understand how to shift your weight on it they were perfectly safe to operate. But like I said, people that didn't know how to ride them crashed them and called them dangerous.
How can something that slow be dangerous
@@ville-pekkaihamaki1166 tippy and flippy
@FreezyAbitKT7A helmet on the melon
Kevin is a good man. Always does it right. Ezra is always good to see. Mike was very happy it came back home better than she left! 😊
I absolutely love that Kevin changes accent when he is around Ezra.
We need more Ezras in the world 😎
So awesome to see people still having things there parents bought them when they were kids.
Mike's smile and the thoughts of him riding with his grandkids, PRICELESS!
Thank you for sharing.
i remember you guys pulling this out. btw one of my favorites series of all time. i was extremely excited to see this one. great job guys
I know how life can get in the way of stuff like this. I took an antique mower from a friend of mine and told him I would get it running for him. I got it running, but two years later, I still haven't gotten it to run right. It happens sometimes.
This was awesome! I've been watching you guys for years! I'd love to see more videos like this and more motorcycle revivals too.
The smile on his face is priceless thanks Kevin and Ezra you guys did.a great job.
You guys are good dudes! His grand kids are going to have a blast!
Kevin is the friendly neighbourhood engine fairy who shows up to grant engine, and engine related birthday wishes 😂
Love these farm bike videos, makes me miss the Honda CT110 I learnt on - able to find one of those for a video?
I am sure Kevin didn’t ghost the guy for 2.5 years. Everyone relax, lol.
Thank you for sharing this. You guys are awesome. This was an absolute pleasure to watch. Merry Christmas to you from an UGLY OLD GRAY WEREWOLF!
When you guys are on the case...nothing truly dies! Especially a Honda!
Great Job Guys, you made that old mans day!!
The smile on Mikes face was worth its weight in gold for sure! Great job Kevin and Ezra! You guys rock!!
The smoke from that machine was growing by the minute😢
That's what wrenching is all about! Bringing smiles to faces and reviving memories alongside machines!
