I absolutely love my Mutant Metals UDA with the thick 42" handles! Chris is phenomenal at Customer Service and I can't recommend them enough! Happy to see you releasing more reviews here on YT. Looking forward to hearing about your RM to PR5000 change.
I appreciate you checking it out! Hopefully this is the start to my triumphant return here on RUclips lol. I'll definitely have to make an updated gym tour soon and explain a few things!
Appreciate it Kurt! The Velocidor is fantastic dip attachment worth considering IF my personal critiques either aren't applicable to you/your situation or maybe you just don't care! lol
Thank you for a very informative and detailed review! Great job! I purchased for all the same reasons you did without the intimate reasons…. lol…just want to keep that horseshoe tricep look! Happy Holidays!
If you’re in the UK and don’t want to drop £390 on the UDA for the monster series racks, Rival Strength have the same type of Dip attachment for their S-series that fits like a glove.
Awesome review. I got the velicodor for the versatility of the handles which I have surprisingly swapped around a fair bit actually. Those stainless handles of the UDA look amazing though. And would love to use them on the rack separately. I don’t use the velocidor on the rack, instead have it bolted to the wall on the supplied 3x3 tubing. Both seem like sweet options though. Can’t lose.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching! I completely agree, you're NOT going to choose wrong whichever one you go with as long as you choose the right one for your specific use case and setup!
Incredible product and great review. I have the dual Rep ones and they are a pain to attach on both sides thus I use them far less. I know I'll likely not be able to resell them but just need to get this and bite the bullet like I did with my mistake rack attached leg curl/extension. Still haven't sold that but happy I got XMark stand alone leg curl/extension.
Thank you so much! I actually have the REP independent dip handles as well. While I enjoy the freedom of not having a rack post in front of you as you workout, setting them up is a bit cumbersome for sure.
Great review, thank you! What would be your thoughts on SS or propriety Matt black handles? You mentioned pull ups etc for other uses for the handles, is there anything you'd think the knurling may be too aggressive for?
While I like the idea of a lighter dip attachment with handles I can use for other things, easy to move on and off with a smaller footprint, I know my #1 preference when dipping is stability. While the velocidor will be a pain to move on and off my rack, I’ll take that caveat bc it’s an absolute tank.
Yeah I agree with most of the things you said. I think the mutant metals is the better most versatile choice, but the plastic endcaps do feel cheap. I am betting they would have done better just partnering with mutant metals from the beginning and wouldn’t have had to do all that R & D on the velocidor
I've personally never viewed the Velocidor as being Rogue's attempt to create their own UDA. I always saw it as an upgraded Matador with adjustable handles (which is a logical progression from their original), therefore the partnership in the beginning wouldn't have made sense IMO. That being said, I'm extremely happy everything worked out as it did! Chris over at Mutant Metals is a FANTASTIC dude and deserved this opportunity!
Why not both?! 😜 A multi-grip pull-up bar will add more grip options than these handles alone, which is a huge benefit if you're like me and love performing pull-ups!
How do you like the diameter of the mutant vs the velocidor handles? I love the all the reasons you point out to buy the mutant but the handle diameter seems small?
The expenditure on development and materials, labor costs, and the fact that it's made in the USA are a few of the factors that contribute to it's higher price point. It's just one of those things where individuals will either see the value and gladly pay or they won't find it worth the investment and look for alternatives.
@MattPendergraph yeah but it's also that rogue is to gym equipment what Nike is to shoes...a brand. Both are quality brands but both overcharge because people will pay for the brand. They could still make a good profit at 200 dollars for it but rogue wants top dollar unfortunately...ps I'm not a hater of rogue, I just think that they charge too much and the quality isn't much better than other companies for the price
Just shows you how little the average person knows about cost of fabrication, machining and painting, let alone all the other costs. 300 dollars for this is incredibly competitive.
@@oswelds Couldn't agree you more! I've spoken to enough manufacturers to know that it simply costs money to produce a premium product here in the states no matter who or how big you are. 🤷♂️ It is what it is!
Great review! It’s nice to see you back on RUclips.
Thanks Joey! I appreciate you watching! This is the first of SEVERAL coming down the pipeline, so stay tuned!

Awesome comparison Matt. It looks weird to see that rogue rack gone. I agree in theory on the silly goose…er velocirdor dip attachment

Great review, sold me on it and now I'll get it and move on with Life happy ( might ask for it for a Christmas present though, lol)...
Appreciate it! You won't be disappointed!

Im about to get these dip handles locally for a crazy low price and am excited to seem them but they sure look like they flex alot

@@Pler1978 Agree to disagree lol. I appreciate you watching!
Both look great. How often do you have dips in your programming?
Agreed!I make an effort to include them in my routine at least once a week, either on chest day, arm day, or sometimes both!
If you buy from Mutant Metals, you can get welded end caps and choose your color.
True! I would like to have seen Rogue offer this up as an option as well!
Will this fit the wall mount matador hanger?
Did it come with plastic washers on the stainless steel handles??? Or did u buy those yourself?
Oh yes, they came with the UDA
Iam debating between a multigrip pull up bar or the mutant handles?
Why not both?! 😜 A multi-grip pull-up bar will add more grip options than these handles alone, which is a huge benefit if you're like me and love performing pull-ups!
Would the handles work if used as somewhat of a leg roller to hold me down while doing center lat pull downs on my Rep Wall Mount Athena?
@@Huha11 Might be a bit painful 😬, but would definitely work

Does it wiggle because of the size difference between rep and rogue racks?
Honestly nothing concerning IMO. I have both Rogue and Rep racks and use this exclusively on my Rep rack without issue.
what kind of mic? Do you recommend it?
amzn.to/3teZ1Uf
I do! I like the convivence of it being wireless and traveling with my body movement as opposed to a stationary mic.
which video he got sued ?
Not sure what you mean?
How can a dip attachment cost 300 plus... even 200 would be pushing it

While they’re nice, I can’t justify spending $300 when my matador is just fine.
