I have one and I use it with my RML-3W it works great and is very diverse and usable for several applications. Hang it on the wall out of the way or use it on your rack in several different configurations. It's such a great addition to my humble garage home gym!
I have this attachment. I love it. It is too heavy though, some people will struggle to put it up and attach a pin through it. It might be less useful to some for that reason, or folks dont want to mess with it, or someone might need help to put it up if they are not as strong (45 pounds, unwieldy and need to align a pin could be tricky for some) They could have used 11gauge steel, and shaved off some weight. BUT once set up it is amazing. I didnt think I would use the angles, but I do, and its helping some triceps issues I had. Angles are gold! knurling is perfect. handles are perfect. Its not that much more than other dip attachments, and the options are worth it, for a lifetime of dip variations. worth it. Also, I had a friend drill out the storage post, and bolted to my lat pulldown, so the dip attachment stores out of the way. I have currently been using this attachment three times a week, because I like it so much.
A possible solution to the button issue mentioned at the 15:37 mark would be for rogue to create a washer that has a button hole in it so it goes flat once inserted. They may need to make the insert pin a little longer so you can use the thread locker to tighten it in place.
Coop, not sure if you actually tried it on your rig. But I noticed it was off-center in the videos when attached (as it is on mine, I thought possibly mine was just a fluke). When the Velocidor is setup on the rig, the bottom pin hole isn't centered with the rig holes so a second Hitch-pin won't fit through. (I have the Rogue Monster Velocidor and the PR5000 so everything is the 1inch). Also, while the 12 inch wall attachment was nice, it only has holes on the upper section, so if wall mounted, your stuck with having to unpin and remount solo. I ended up drilling additional holes to match up with the bottom on the 12inch strip, so I could utilize both pins, to make "storing it" easier. However, because the strip is only 12 inches, the Velocidor ends up swinging down into the wall. I ended up mounting a small piece of wood directly underneath to circumvent this. I think as overbuilt as this whole product is, if they're going to go out of their way to include a wall strip, it should've been a 14 inch strip, with holes that line up to both pin holes on the Velocidor. That allows you to wall mount it, utilize 2 pins, and have it be able to store down without needing to do the "Hold, pull the pin, lift it higher, re-pin bottom, then lower to stored position. Long timer viewer, first time commenter. Awesome Review Coop.
If Rogue reads through these comments I want them to know that the owner of vendetta strength actually mentioned that he would love for Rogue to assist with production of the Vendetta brackets/ adjustment system for lever arms so that he could come out with more products. It might turn out to be financially advantageous for both companies. So please put the word out GGR because it would only mean more awesome products for the home gym community :-)
The lever arms need to have the vendetta attachment integrated in, and the kaz attachement that allows lateral movement. I think they would appeal a lot more to me then.

I like Rep Fitness’ Drop-in Dip Handles, but think storage would be an issue. The Rogue Velocidor could be stored on the wall using the 3”x3” section they include. Storing on my rack is not an option with Ares and weight storage on the rack.
What I didn't like about the MM UDA and Rogue's V... offering was that rogue filed a patent and tried making the intellectual property theirs. In that patent it encompassed the whole MM design with the addition of angle adjustment. You can't patent something that exists it has to be novel. The patent wasn't specific to the adjustable angle of grips it effectively would have patented the whole design much of which was MM's. This might still be the case too if they continue with their patent plans. Reminds me of who invented the telephone history and even the patent suggests Alexander Graham-Bell did but in reality Antonio Meucci and Philipp Reis each created a telephone like devices before Bell's patent was filed. The US House of Representatives viewed Antonio Meucci's invention so similar that it would have been enough to have prevented Bell's patent. The angle adjustment aspect is patentable for Rogue but the width adjustment is not. I am not a patent attorney but I did well in IP law in law school.
The adjustability is nice, but functionally I prefer the new Rep drop-in handles that allow me to do work between uprights. Could definitely use with a belt squat attachment. Also easy for assisted movements w bands, etc. plus you can to dips, pull-ups, AND inverted rows 🥳
@@reconstructionwouldhavesav9472 really? they’re 22” wide at the narrowest and 25” at the widest when mounted on the front of a Rep rack. That’s right on par with everyone else’s. Definitely agree on the weight thing. I'm all for good build quality, but when I'm wrestling something overhead, while trying to get linch pins to go through 4 holes without being crooked, I'd much rather have that thing weigh 20 pounds than 45 pounds. Lots of homegym people don't have a crew of meatheads around when it comes time to hook up rack attachments.
I realize that Rogue has built there business around powder coating steel, but to reduce weight they should make the body of this out of aluminum. Aluminum can be powder coated, and they should use gloss black as Coop mentioned. Throw in some MM stainless style handles and upgrade to a magnetic pin and they would have the ultimate solution.
I like that Rogue Fitness and Hammer Strength add tons of attachments to their power racks to add lots of different exercises besides just bench and squat to a power rack setup. Hammer Strength makes add ons as well.
👍 That looks awesome! I don't have a Rogue rack, I have a ForceUSA rack but dip bars for racks have always been terrible in terms of width for the most part. I think a premium adjustable dip bar (& pullup useability) like that is the #1 best & most useful attachment anyone could buy, for the vast majority of people... I wish I could get one for my rack, I'd spend any amount of money for one . . .
👍 As a quick follow-up to my last comment, I contacted Mutant Metals & they responded with a "can do" -- They said not a problem to make the plastic protective insert thicker to exact specification of my 2.4" x 2.4" uprights on the ForceUSA rack, so I'm going to go ahead and order from them, in case anyone else has the same concerns (Mutant metals works on all 3" x 3", 2" x 2", 3" x 2" & my 2.4" x 2.4") and they offer it with 1" or 5/8" pin diameter . . .

I just hate the attachment piece. I’ve been using some Mutant Metal handles on an Oak Club alpha arm which has worked so great I’m selling my dedicated Sorinex dip attachment.
I have had mine for a month or so and love it. Is it weird that i like feeling the knurled handles??? I will say the second hole on the bottom does not fit a Rep PR5000 Rack which forces you to awkwardly stabilize this beast for a moment. It would be great if they did what Rep did with the Utility Seat to account for different hole spacing. And when taking it down from doing pullups the first time i almost knocked myself in the head. Great product though. Here is to innovation!! Thanks Coop!!
They should have used this concept with individual dip handles that attach to each upright. All of the controversy would have been avoided, would not cannibalize matador sales, and would provide a truly unique option. The Y style dip attachments tend to make the whole rack shake while using them. The individual dip handles don't have that problem because the load is distributed evenly between the uprights. I have a version of these made by Black Widow and they are fantastic. But I would certainly consider an adjustable option if it was available.
It’s great that Rogue ultimately reached out to Mutant Metals, but don’t let it distract you from the fact that it only did so AFTER the backlash from the community. Christopher from MM was very graceful and professional throughout the ordeal, but it was clear that Rogue initially planned on launching this piece with complete disregard for the UDA’s existence
@@hitleractually8180 Does it matter "why?" Yes, because intention is an important element here. Rogue initially did what it did because it thought that it was on top of a mountain and did not foresee any backlash. One of the best things about social media is that it can enhance accountability, and one of the great things about the home gym community is that many of its members actually have morals and honor innovation with respect to the first mover. Rogue intended to pass the Velocidor off as its own innovation with zero regard for Mutant Metals, and even filed a patent for it. The company did not acknowledge the original product UNTIL the public called it out, and even tried to defend its position. The "why" matters because of the "when." Of course, Rogue can learn from this if it chooses to do business ethically, but that remains to be seen in an increasingly competitive market. It certainly deserves credit for ultimately acknowledging the criticism and doing the right thing, but forgetting the events that led to this is exactly what it wants us to do. This isn't about submission; its possible for consumers to forgive without forgetting
Great review. Think a collab between Rogue and Mutant Metals would be a great outcome given the similarities between the products. Love that you touched on the additional Monster channel. This with the rogue jammer pull up bar makes it possible for those with smaller spaces (without racks) to do dips and pull ups by attaching to studs instead of relying on hydrid dip bars/ pull ups bars which you've reviewed in the past! Would love a review on the Jammer pull up bar x Velocidor combo compared to some of the dip bars and pull up bars combos you've reviewed previously
Thanks Coop. One of the (many) things I like about the Mutant Metal dip bar, least the 1" version, is the J-Cup style attachment to the rack. Just slide the pin in and swing down. Alas their 5/8" version only comes with a hitch pin. Same with this. Not end of the world, just looks like a really nice way to manage these bulky attachments.
Coop, please review Rep Apollo Half Rack. There are literally no real reviews on this rack. It looks great but I am waiting for a review to decide whether it is a good investment.
Body solid makes drop in handles for like $50 that works on Monster Lite since their new racks model rogue. Y style handles are too unsteady and you need rack to be bolted or weighted down.
I like the cheaper option rogue offers for dip attachment without the knurling. I prefer the black grippy powder coat tbh. I prefer knurling on barbells. Im still curious about the rogue and mutant metal dip attachment.
Turnoff for me is the storage mode. It sticks out far too much especially when compared to Mutant Metals’. I can leave the handles in place and just flip mine up against the rack. When I’m ready to use it I just drop down and go.
Splitting the difference and having the Mutant Metals design but with the button pin that allows for multiple angles would be my ideal. Seeing the pictures of it at the end of the video got me instantly more excited to look into that (or see what a possible collab brings out) than the entire 20 minute video on the Velocidor, even though that looks nice too. I’m one of those gym owners that doesn’t want a workout just moving attachments around my cramped garage and then placing onto the upright. It’s the greatest friction that gets in the way of whether or not an attachment gets used or not- do I want to go through the hassle / exertion to move this thing around in space and place onto my upright or would I rather just do an alternative exercise and skip it? 90% of the time it’s the latter.
I strongly suspect the Monster channel that comes with the Velocidor is purely for storage purposes and not for actually doing dips on the wall. The channel is fairly short and those mounting holes on the channel are fairly small and close together. Even though 2x4 studs are strong and lag bolting this to the wall will be sturdy, it wouldn't be beefy enough to sustain frequent use.
Is there a brand that makes a dipping handle similar to the 'Perfect Pushup' handle which allows your shoulder and scapular to rotate at you come down. Good for rotator cuff injuries??
Rogue customer service doesn't recommend performing dips using the monster channel/mini strip. Have you tried to see if the included lags mounted on a stud are strong enough to support the dip bar and body weight?
What about how thick the handles are? Doesn't anyone find these handles too thick? I've gone back and forth 100 times in the past 2 days wanting to order this because of the adjustable handles but I would think the mutant Metals smaller diameter is much easier on the wrists
I feel like I was in the minority when this first came out and didn't really care if they "copied" mutant metals. Rogue seems to have knocked it out the park with this one and this will be the dip attachment I buy when I'm ready to upgrade!
I’ve been doing dips on rings for the past year and now I feel rock solid even with 40+ kilos added. Is there any point to getting a dip attachment at this point?
Rogue could have just put the locating pin protrusions on the base and accepting holes on the handles, and then you would be able to use the handles on anything 😮
Which is a better option, a monster weight stack slinger or Reps selectorized lat pulldown and low row? I’m open to either one, but I was wondering if there was more versatility in the rep option.
I know what you mean. I ended up selling the rogue rack and buying the rep pr5000 with ares. Have not had any problem fitting rogues single hole attachments but the 2 hole attachments don’t fit because of the spacing differences. You can see it with this dip bar on the video.
I bought the Monster Lite version, and the holes didn't line up with my RML-3. Rogue sent me another one, and I had the same problem. Now they are sending new UHMW thinking that will help the alignment. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem. I have the old RML-3, maybe it fits better on the new ones.
Can you turn the handles angled up and do dips facing the other direction? Like your back towards the rack? I feel like that would be the best for the lower pecs
I bought one of these, and one of the handles will not even fit in the body because the dowel pin piece diameter is too large. I have notified Rogue and included pictures and caliper measurements, and they are giving me the run around. I spent $325 + shipping for them to send me a defective product and bust my balls when I contact customer service. It's the last time I'll deal with Rogue. Rep and other competitors are kicking their butt lately.
Hey coop, do you think the velocidor could be mounted to a rep 5000 ares on the front upright with the pulley that feeds in to the trolley running through the velocidor? I’m trying to mount a velocidor permanently on each side for weighted pull up and dips. Ares looks to be the most compact option thats heavy other than the powerlift multi function pulley.
If it was half the weight it would be perfect. I may buy it for pull-ups but man, seems like it will be annoying to latch onto my rack so high up by myself
It is expensive, but not that much more than Rogue's regular Mantador. I think the weight of the unit is more annoying - I wonder what the base weighs without the handles installed? I assume that is how most people will end up moving it if the weight on the unit bugs them...
It seems strange that when you rotate the entire unit down that from one side the word Rogue appears upside down. You'd think that the word Rogue would read upright from both sides.
Velocidor is not a copy. Looks great. It is time to do a dedicated video review of the Surplus Strength UPS. I just ordered the UPS bundle and can not wait to try it out. I had been waiting on Rogue to improve the Slinger, but go tired of waiting.
He can’t review it when he doesn’t even know the name of the company. Called it by the wrong name multiple times in the last video. Pretty embarrassing, actually.
@@GarageGymReviews Cool. Thanks for the review. I'm going to consider getting this. I currently have the MM UDA. Dips are one of my favorite exercises, so I can definitely justify it. With two pins, if I just need to pull one and guide it down for storage, that's easier than how the the UDA stores. Thanks again!
Ive seen a guy who added a handle on each side of the rhino handles and got a dip feature built in and a handles for belt squat .. and rogue copied mutant metals for sure !
I like your reviews, and I’m sure you’ve addressed this question more than once, but shouldn’t you be way more buff or huge or something considering your career? I don’t think it would affect anything at all, but it makes me wonder the limits of the un-enhanced human body because you must work out like a banshee. Just a thought.
So glad Rogue is partnering with Mutant Metals, seems like a great outcome based on some of the response to the velocidor release.

And used Matt Pendergraph as a platform to push it into the home gym space.
@@DrDeusExMachina another reason to dislike that guy. He’s such a tool so it was very on brand to promote the Velocidor.
Does it matter *why* Rogue did the right thing? You still get the same result. You people have to learn, when the dog submits, stop beating it.
@@Pler1978 Yeah, figured as much. Just a shame as nice idea.
I bought mutants metal one and love it
the have it for the monster light, 5/8 holes too, which is awesome.
Coop, please review Rep Apollo Half Rack. There are literally no real reviews on this rack. It looks great but I am waiting for a review to decide whether it is a good investment.
I'll put it on the schedule! - Coop
@@GarageGymReviews Thank you Coop. Will look forward to hearing your thoughts on the Apollo Half Rack. Thank you.
They have a mutant metals rogue version coming. Chris already has a prototype at his home gym
Body solid makes drop in handles for like $50 that works on Monster Lite since their new racks model rogue. Y style handles are too unsteady and you need rack to be bolted or weighted down.
I agree, seems like that is a better solution for much less - just give up the different widths and angles that are probably overkill anyways.
I like the cheaper option rogue offers for dip attachment without the knurling. I prefer the black grippy powder coat tbh. I prefer knurling on barbells. Im still curious about the rogue and mutant metal dip attachment.
Coop, sporting some Sitka!
Standing invitation to come out to Idahosometime and put it to good use 😃
Turnoff for me is the storage mode. It sticks out far too much especially when compared to Mutant Metals’. I can leave the handles in place and just flip mine up against the rack. When I’m ready to use it I just drop down and go.
Yep
It’s seems too big
That is a whole-notha-leval, looks like its time to upgrade my Monster Matador!
Need a video of top accessories Coop’s discovered for Rogue Rhino
I strongly suspect the Monster channel that comes with the Velocidor is purely for storage purposes and not for actually doing dips on the wall. The channel is fairly short and those mounting holes on the channel are fairly small and close together. Even though 2x4 studs are strong and lag bolting this to the wall will be sturdy, it wouldn't be beefy enough to sustain frequent use.
Review of the Pritchett pad next? Rogue has mostly left the home gym market empty while brands like REP, Irwin, and Oak Club are filling that niche.
You didn't state the price, so I looked it up: $295.
Honestly, I thought it would be at least twice that much. That thing looks solid.
Colored knobs and ends would be nice
Is there a brand that makes a dipping handle similar to the 'Perfect Pushup' handle which allows your shoulder and scapular to rotate at you come down. Good for rotator cuff injuries??
Rogue customer service doesn't recommend performing dips using the monster channel/mini strip. Have you tried to see if the included lags mounted on a stud are strong enough to support the dip bar and body weight?
Please review the Pepin fast series adjustable dumbbells
TOOK YOU A WHILE COOP!!
Why not just call it the Matador elite?
Also, it takes up just as much space to store as it does setup…
I love rogue , I have lots of their products and if that dip bar was 15lb lighter it would be in my garage.
Come straight to the comments once I heard “it’s hard to get it in” 😂
why didn't Rogue think about put the angle adjustment pin on the frame and holes in the handles ? so the handles could be usable anywhere
Seriously though, free standing dip parallel bars are cheap and much more versatile
I like the name, and laser cut logo. I wish they’d put the laser cut rhino in the 🦏
Have y'all ever heard of the brand Stozm? Their Adjustable Kettlebell looks interesting, but I wonder about the quality.
The ability to roll it up and down the upright like jammer arms would be nice…could you do that?
This looks gray with that power coat. That definitely a turn off that or won’t match my other rogue monster attachments
“Un-tighten”? Is that the same as “loosen”?
Coop, how 'bout a review of the Rogue Manta Ray Adjustable Bench? Very interesting! thanks!
Would be a lot better if it attached like a j cup like mutant metals. Almost there tho .. stay tune for 3.0 rogue Monstador"
This is sick, is there any adapters or anything I could use to put this on a 2in rep rack?
What about how thick the handles are? Doesn't anyone find these handles too thick? I've gone back and forth 100 times in the past 2 days wanting to order this because of the adjustable handles but I would think the mutant Metals smaller diameter is much easier on the wrists

Old Coop would have inserted a Michael Scott meme.
HI COOP CAN YOU REAVIEW THE CAR JACK DEAD.LIFT ATTACHMENT from FORTISEQUIPMENT ?
Never knew Coop was a hunter 👍
Why are these attachments and benches not made out of aluminum so their not 1,000 pounds to move around
Me waiting for Rogue to redesign their slingers and cable pulley systems
Rogue: Have a high end dip bar
I know what you mean. I ended up selling the rogue rack and buying the rep pr5000 with ares. Have not had any problem fitting rogues single hole attachments but the 2 hole attachments don’t fit because of the spacing differences. You can see it with this dip bar on the video.
@@geomafia I did the exact same thing! I love the Ares!
I dont think you need to. You can angle the handles downward.
Yes you can. I do it this way. Angled up and facing away from the upright. It feels the best.
@@geomafia Thanks! I appreciate the response
Can it fit on a rep rack?
Can anyone explain why I wouldn’t be able to use this or the Matador on my SML-1 squat stand. Rogue does not recommend.
Thanks in advance.
I’ll never buy any of this shit, but I love watching these videos.
Keep on them. They'll get it taken care of I'm sure. Let us know if they don't. - Coop
So it’s a dip attachment made for heavier set people?
Can you use the handles on lever arms.
Would like to see a compo to a monster light matador
It is expensive, but not that much more than Rogue's regular Mantador. I think the weight of the unit is more annoying - I wonder what the base weighs without the handles installed? I assume that is how most people will end up moving it if the weight on the unit bugs them...
Wish you did a head to head with Mutant Metals.
Where can you find extra hitch pins?
Do you know if the 5/8ths version of this would be compatible with a rep 4000?
Yes it would. But don’t buy a second pin since second hole doesn’t match with Rep rack. So it will be a little inconvenient to fold it
Just Subbed.

Wonder if it fit my basic cheap rack
Fudge should’ve waited 4 more months to buy this one. I got the matador for Christmas ugh
why do you need to remove the handles to flip down in storage mode?
You don't need to. It's just one way that it can be done. - Coop
Now they need some dip bars that do the dipping for u
Ive seen a guy who added a handle on each side of the rhino handles and got a dip feature built in and a handles for belt squat .. and rogue copied mutant metals for sure !
Will this work on a non-Rogue 3x3 power rack?
I like your reviews, and I’m sure you’ve addressed this question more than once, but shouldn’t you be way more buff or huge or something considering your career? I don’t think it would affect anything at all, but it makes me wonder the limits of the un-enhanced human body because you must work out like a banshee. Just a thought.
Whats the purpose of the angles? You just put stress on your wrists, that's it. I doubt the angle of the dips itself changes significantly.
Samson’s dip attachment is all 7-gauge, really heavy, and thus almost indestructible.
Will this work on a Rep PR - 5000?
Yes, he used it on a pr 5000 this video
