im happy with my 210lb of vulcan specks i bought for $180 on offerup pre pandemic, been ogling over the urethanes but honestly not needed. Im still however ogling over the american barbell series 4 urethane dumbells, definitely my endgame dumbbells.
My judgement goes for every dollar I spend I have to use it that many times. Saying that i have a hard time not buying everything I see on Facebook marketplace 😂
I had to sell a lot of fleck plates to justify the cost of my urethanes lol I have urethane everything for that desert heat. My heart always wants to replace the urethane bumpers with a set of ghost calibrated plates tho. Other than that, I would not buy anything from Rep fitness if I could do it over, and have almost sold everything in my garage from them.
Personally I like what I've seen from Rep and I've seen a lot. No company has a perfect track record to me (their cast iron plates were meh) but in general I really like them. Ghost Strong is a different level though.
Then that's all that matters! When I had them I was building up my gym so I decided they didn't work for me at that time. I thought they were really nice but I think I got my DL bar instead with the money.
@@GlucksGym I truly wanted the change plates that went with the 6-shooters to try to color match my gunmetal rack but they literally never went in stock (to this day I still don't think I ever received a restock email lol) but I love them but I do agree they aren't worth the price but I'm glad I bought them.
Nice commentary, but I’ll add one important consideration. Even if you “wasted” another $10,000 on useless over priced equipment, you would be way ahead of the costs associated with your first heart attack. This assumes you use your gym to improve your health. Just a thought.
I was using the titan pivot pipe to do belt squats. One of the worst purchases ever, and it's so cheap that's really saying something. Clunky, terrible to set up, and destroys the powder coat on anything it touches. Bought a landmine like a week later.
I own a pair of 25LB Rogue Training plates, and one of them doesn’t fit around the lat pulldown weight horns. LAME!! All my Rep Fitness bumper plates for with ZERO issue. I do love my Rogue LB fractional plates. ...and I think they cost something like $90 after shipping and taxes. Total of 5Lbs. Crazy, right?
That's not cheap but if you love them right? Idc what people buy as long as their happy. I'm just saying no company is perfect... Maybe those fancy companies I can't write afford yet though...
Titan lever arms are my personal regret and not because they are titan. Regret the purchase because any jammer type arms have been mostly redundant to what barbells and dumbbells can already do.
Lever arms are one of the things that a lot of people buy thinking they'll do a lot more with them. You can do a lot though it often takes so much work and thought to do so that they eventually don't get used much.
My Equipment Regrets: everything🤦🏻♂️…specifically, RH-2, Legend plate loaded dip, Legend Lat PD/Low row, Legend Power Station, multi-purpose bench, sissy squat, DBs with rubber handles, EliteFTS plate loaded leg extension/curl & their 45 degree back raise, & the Rogue Rhino belt squat. Selling everything. Ready to just go back to the gym. Instead just buying new things and starting over. I’m in too deep.🥺
Oh interesting, I must have got lucky on cyber Monday, I just got a few hundred pounds of bumpers from rogue cheaper than any other site or my local retailers. LOL I'm looking now though and titan is now a couple dollars cheaper and in stock now the day after smh. I may have just got lucky getting bumpers under $2/LB or maybe they are cheaper than 2 years ago.
Rogue would have been great, but yeah the prices they ask for their equipment. For those in the US it might be okay, but many of us who live outside the US find the prices to be too much. Like $350 for a barbell bar? That's already a month's wage for many here in Asia.
My rogue bumper plates are the least used piece of equipment in my home gym. Too bulky and hard to grip. And they stink too. Unless youre dropping barbells on the floor I think theyre a waste.

im happy with my 210lb of vulcan specks i bought for $180 on offerup pre pandemic, been ogling over the urethanes but honestly not needed. Im still however ogling over the american barbell series 4 urethane dumbells, definitely my endgame dumbbells.
Urethane DBs are overkill for a home gym but that doesn't stop me from dreaming either!
You lucky guy!
Instant subscribed just because my man is natty 💪🏼🤙🏼😂
Just had to do what I've done my whole life? Sweet
@@GlucksGym just the way it should be!
I love my Rogue Change Plates (kilos), they're quiet!
@@CVNTGETENOUGH haha as long as you're happy. Those stock bots beat you to those restocks!
Yeah they’re actually really useful for helping to keep the plates on the bar during cycling etc. rep has really good ones too. Quiet is a plus
@@gabeshivers I agree 100%... and they add some color to my basic looking gym setup so that's a plus lol
Nice commentary, but I’ll add one important consideration. Even if you “wasted” another $10,000 on useless over priced equipment, you would be way ahead of the costs associated with your first heart attack. This assumes you use your gym to improve your health. Just a thought.
“Works so far, but I do pray a little bit…”
LOL
I have the viking press, too. I use it often and like it
The item isn't the issue, just that it's not something we do much
Titan lever arms are my personal regret and not because they are titan.
Yea it is always not me, it’s him hahaaha damn 80K+ views? U are the man!
This one blew up the channel a bit
@@GlucksGym i am sure hehe good job
She is caked up! Thank you
My Equipment Regrets: everything🤦🏻♂️…specifically, RH-2, Legend plate loaded dip, Legend Lat PD/Low row, Legend Power Station, multi-purpose bench, sissy squat, DBs with rubber handles, EliteFTS plate loaded leg extension/curl & their 45 degree back raise, & the Rogue Rhino belt squat. Selling everything. Ready to just go back to the gym. Instead just buying new things and starting over. I’m in too deep.🥺
That is a hell of a list... How did you manage to get all that and then regret it?!
Oh interesting, I must have got lucky on cyber Monday, I just got a few hundred pounds of bumpers from rogue cheaper than any other site or my local retailers. LOL I'm looking now though and titan is now a couple dollars cheaper and in stock now the day after smh. I may have just got lucky getting bumpers under $2/LB or maybe they are cheaper than 2 years ago.
it may be a good thing you love spending money on gym equipment without winnie getting mad. Color plates do look great though.
Haha she probably gets more mad at the time and effort I put into my channel and Insta. She works out with me every single time!
LOL, I'm a man and I love my plates to have rust on them .
Viking press deal's less than $100, useful as hell, and easy to set up.
Dude you gotta check out bridge built. They’re literally the best. I call them “better built” bc it’s facts lol
Haha I know who bridge is
Great video
Thank you!
Weird this is two years old and you come across more comfortable and less forced in front of the camera.
Rogue would have been great, but yeah the prices they ask for their equipment. For those in the US it might be okay, but many of us who live outside the US find the prices to be too much. Like $350 for a barbell bar? That's already a month's wage for many here in Asia.
Well said…..I thought it was just me!
As long as you're happy with your stuff, that's all that matters
My rogue bumper plates are the least used piece of equipment in my home gym. Too bulky and hard to grip. And they stink too. Unless youre dropping barbells on the floor I think theyre a waste.
Which plates are they? Certain process and materials smell but urethane shouldn't
@@GlucksGym H2.0. Probably rubber, not urethane.
Yeah those are Chinese made rubber bumpers. Affordable but know to have a smell (and sometimes a coating) on them
Viking press is amazing
Fantastic video mate. Hilarious
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hope you didnt hold that viking press attachment too high! ZAP!!!!....BOOOOMMMMmmmmmmm......
That crack, I know we were racing the storm but I didn't know it was moving that fast!
I bought 240kg of weights and assorted bars for £50 off eBay. All a bit rusty. But just as heavy as when new.
Thats a great price. I got my plates rusty as hell, a grinder with a wire wheel and some spray paint and they look better than new.
More of these short and sweet reviews with better alternatives
Just to be sure, you mean shorter videos with different alternative options? Like you don't like these alts or what?
@@GlucksGym You basically did reviews on 4 items base on actual usage not reviews that most people do that are more or less first impressions. You then gave alternatives. This is imo is very informative.
The reviews were short and to the point.
We can call these post reviews or whatever. Sometimes we dont need long reviews on items we know what they do already since they have been out and/or most sources on the internet have covered them. And because we dont know what caveats they come with, it is nice to know someone's perspective after they have use them for a good amount of times.
@@hby7768 gotcha. I misread that at first so that clarification helps and thanks for taking the time as well. I tend to wait until I have something awhile which probably doesn't help my views or affiliate sales but it's more honest and thorough imo
