Don't forget the "first impressions" video after the baby is born! Lol jk
I wish u guys the very best Thao! 😊
Congratulations
I have been using my GT2 for almost 3 years and it still works great. I don't care much about payments or responding to messages. I use my watch as a fitness tracker. GPS works very well. GT3 has dual band GPS and it supports 5 satellites services.
As an owner of the OG Huawei watch, I can say that after years of use, that thing still works and looks just as good as it did when I took out out of the box. The sapphire glass really has paid off, no scratches at all. I much don't care for Google services so this wouldn't bother me. I mainly use my smartwatch to view notifications and for quick replies. 4 to 5 days of battery life with everything turned sounds phenomenal.
I also have the OG watch. I tested it recently, it goes from 100% to 0 in 22 hours with only AOD, BT and notifications replies. I guess it's time to upgrade.. i picked galaxy watch5
Huawei is hamstrung by those US sanctions. Probably would be been amazing if it were able to use play services
It wouldn't matter for their GT range which doesn't run Wear OS anyway and it's intentional. It's a fitness first watch with 10-14 days battery. But their phones yes.
They never really used Play services or google services on their smartwatches anyway - mainly because theyre based in China and it would be unwise to build their smartwatch on a platform that would isolate their home base.
@@gabegalleries actually the original hauwei watch ran android wear. It wasn't until sanctions they they switched their os off of all android play services
Yeah I agree. Samsung must've breathed a sigh of relief when the sanction hit, likely would've dethroned them.
Yep completely agree
I really appreciate your honestly about the watch even though they sent you the unit.
That battery life is crazy! But man I've already been spoiled by my galaxy watch 😅
Nice to see more watches outside the Samsung's and Apple's of the world. Also hope everything is going well with the baby.
Just come from the Galaxy Watch to the GT3 Pro Titanium, the GT3 Pro feels like a premium watch, the screen is pin sharp with great colours, and the battery life is phenomenal, I have everything turned on including AOD, this is using around 15% battery per day, which give me a week between charges. Brilliant watch, i love it.
Nice review, and good job showing them worn. Also, congrats. :)
Damn that battery life is insane 🤯 even if other smartwatches turned off fitness functionalities there’s no way they would last nearly that long
I used to have Apple Watch 4 and it was fine. Until they released sleeptracking feature. It drained battery in two days. And obv I couldn’t charge overnight. So obviously I EWA as looking for smth with good battery life. Plus, i wanted to be able to track blood oxygen. Temperature was a nice touch even though it was ennoying to turn everything on. One more thing worth mentioning is that the watch can do both undroid and iOS. You don’t have to think about the os as mutch
I have had a GT 3 Pro 46 mm for three month now, it's beautiful, and definitively the battery life is better than the Watch 4 (Samsung), but not as good as you could think, I had a Ionic (Fitbit) and this one (GT 3 Pro) last more or less the same, 4 or 5 days at most, so don't think that it will get through the 10 days, no way, also, it lacks a lot of the integrations/features the Watch 4 has when you use any Android phone, forget about Body Composition, Contactless payment, Voice Assistant (Celia doesn't work out of China or Huawei phones), etc... I still use my GT 3 Pro, but only because of the battery life and waiting for a better option in this regard, no doubts that I'm missing the so many features a Watch 4 provides, I'm hoping the Watch 5 offer a better prospect.
Celia does work outside of China but only if paired to a Huawei phone. And a lot of her features are disabled outside of China.
Excellent review/comparison
I own the titanium version of this watch and it is pretty great. The health monitoring and activity tracking is beyond most other smartwatches in 2023 and is comfortable to wear during exercise if you swap to a silicone band. The main negatives of the watch are voice assistant only works with a huawei phone, contactless payment only works in china, very limited app store and Huawei customer support can take months to reply to each email.
wow, thanks for this helpful comment
Best of luck and sending positive wishes for upcoming baby!
Awesome 😎💯 thanks Thao 🤗💖😘🥰
Amazing review
Love the review Thao!
Great review and congrats on your baby. I really don´t get why you would not recommend this watch for fitness... it is fantastic for that. It´s quite light to anyone that i have showed mine to and if its still too heavy for your, you can always get the smaller version.
Great review as usual. I hope you'll be doing a comparison against Samsung Watch 5 Pro if possible.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I absolutely LOOOOVE Your ABSOLUTELY Professional looking Videos in 4k!!! 😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have the Huawei watch gt3 pro titanium version too and i love this watch. I also have the Huawei Watch 3 too. And i love this Watch too! Please do an Review for the Huawei Watch 3 / Watch 3 pro 😃🙏🏻❤️
All the best and congratulations again
What stereo speakers are in the backgtound next to monitor?
I thought you could install Apps from Huawei Health? You can on the GT2 Pro. It's a very limited selection though.
Nice Review.
That watch looks so nice!
looks solid in all ways you define solid
Pass on this. Congrats on new addition!
For ceramic edition of gt 3 pro to unbuckle strap do you need to press one side or 2 at the same time becouse when i'm wearing it unbuckle by itself… Is it defective or what help.
Oh my 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This watch is so Cool....
Hi, is it possible to turn off the bluetooth if someone does not want to use the bluetooth connectivity feature? I mean completely TURN OFF the bluetooth like it is done on the Garmin watches
Intriguing watch for sure! But honestly, as long based on the battery life alone, i'll prob never let go of my non-smart and withings hybrid watch
very nice looking watch.
Can you still use it in the US though? Will it update and connect to my android?
Wow Thao How are you, Nice watch
The 46mm version should last even longer, 10-14 days. Love my GT2. Couldn't go back to a smartwatch that only lasts 1-3 days. You just don't need a lot of apps on a watch.
Is it like the GW 4?
I don't care about smartwatches but the way Thao presents her reviews often makes me smile. I always like how you apply it to your daily use and not just reading specs!
Curious, what apps do people actually download/use on their watches? I have the huawei watch GT2 and love it mainly for the battery life. Replying to texts would be great but don't really feel like im missing much
And the watch doesn't work itself, needs a phone. I think that it's much more importante to have a good phone rather than a smartwatch.
For me I don't care about apps on a smartwatch as I've been conditioned to avoid them. They kill battery, just having apps installed on the Galaxy Watch drains battery even if you don't use them. It's a by-product of using Android as a base operating system.
i'm a tech guy...i have a Galaxy Watch 46mm (basically Watch 1) and all i see around me is people complaining about battery life and bugs on Watch 4 and 5
i've been thinking about getting a new watch and obviously since im here watching this video...i'm very interested in Huawei GT3 Pro
what i care most about is battery life. As far as notifications..yes from the looks of it, they really need to add some animations or something..but i almost never reply to a text from the watch. its just way faster to pull out my phone and type like a normal person :D
I believe The Voice Assistant and Payments are only supported in China. Personally I wasn't bothered about payments, my phone does payments and its a lot bigger service area makes it more reliable.
I think the same, I have already a smartphone that doess all that stuff. The smarttwatch is not smart at all, because needs a phone.
will the watch work with a samsung phone and will i use all the functions?
Can’t wait to meet mini Thao! 🤣
how is it when connecteted to samsung phone???
It sounds like it have the exact same feature set as the 59 EUR Huawei Band 7!?!? (which I love by the way... but not for 700!)
I have the GT3 Pro, and just got the GW4 classic, it has alot of features I just don't need or use and the battery life is awfull, I'm going to sell it and keep the GT3 pro for its amazing battery life.
Finally hi everyone Thao here 🤣❤️
Does it works well with my Galaxy S23 Ultra?
Are u doing the z fold 4 review
When is our bundle of joy coming??😀
I missed your videos 😢😢
I REALLY wish huawei watches would function better in the US. :(
Not sure if you’re from the US, but have you had any issues with this relating to fitness tracking, or finding new watch faces on the app?
Is the Huawei GT3 Pro 43mm watch only made for those who wear the watch on the left hand?
Try wearing your watch on the right hand and teach me how you may set the display to respond so.
Much appreciated.
Unit that Galaxy watch 5 pro comes out
Great review 👏 do videos regularly Love from India 🇮🇳
❤️❤️❤️
I bought the galaxy 5 pro watch thinking it would be a good replacement for my gt3. Boy was i mistaken, cant even get 2 days out of it unless you turn everything off defeating the purpose of a fitbess watch. I dont care about responding to texts, for a rock solid fitness watch stick with Huawei.
Am surprised people want their watches to do stuff their phones already do and better... When it comes to asthetics, huawei watches have no equals, they look far better, better built and very premium than any smart watch in the market.... Apple watches look like Toy watches to me, the body look, the colour's, the straps, everything just screams kiddy watch to me.... With Huawei watches, omg!!!! They can fit in anywhere, they are extremely fashionable and premium in looks...
A finally a female reviewer of this watch😎
Could you please tell me how to get the menstrual cycle calendar for this watch? Please help🥺🙏🏼
Damn, that watch looks amazing, such a shame it doesn't run wear OS.
Hope everything goes ok with the baby!!!
👌👍
So it has no quick message sent confirmation and can not make payments or install third-party software. So basically the WATCH has no cons.
i might not have listen 100% or does this work with a samsung phone or does samsung phones only works with samsung watchs :D
but good video as always :)
Huawei watches of course also work with apple and all android brands
You can't respond to messages on the GT2 so good to have stock replies. Do you find if you clear a message on the phone/watch you still need to clear it on the watch? Never had to do this on my Samsung Watch.
yes, its annoying. All this Huawei watchs works that way. If we receive 10 notifications on the watch, we have to check it and clear all over again in the phone, and vice-versa. Huawei watches notifications are trash!
Wondering how Huawei is surviving the market without Google.. How are the sales going when even Samsung struggled a little being a Google's OS dependant.
Anyways, watch looking slick
People just sideload Google lol so they're doing fine.
I have Huawei smartphone and no Google Mobile Services for 18 months already.
I have no difficulties for daily use.
@@DrRDW I'm thinking on the OS integration with Google's apps.. It's a bit work around..
@@LaciDoszka It's basically getting into a routine of the OS understanding.. But I'm talking about sales as a whole, as a brand survival company without android os.. Not easy
@@adeelpir1
This proves they are doing something good. And also, because they are high quality devices and most of the people (especially in Asia and half of Europe) know there is life beyond google's system. Even because Huawei proved so many times they think and do BEFORE google do in Android (For example some Android features that Huawei bring on Android 9 then google bring on stock android 10)
Etc. etc. bla bla bla.. :)
I have Android/EMUI (Without GMS) and HarmonyOS device too. The EMUI12 can be mistaken as HarmonyOS 2 and most of the applications works and can be transferred.
Even many Google apps works WITHOUT any problem and WITHOUT any kind of Google Services installed.
Спасибо ...не взяла их через отсутствие NFS
Makes you wonder why Apple and Samsung can't up their battery game
Does it support 3rd party apps ?
That smart watch is really cute it looks like a regular watch...for $700 noooooooooo I'll keep my Samsung watch
🥺🥺🥺🥺
I like you WHAT!
My gtr 3 pro is louder than my gw4
Husband: I'm hungry, feed me!
Thao: Sorry I'm busy.
😆😆
Glad he took the hint and ordered pizza, mama needs her rest lol!
Great to see you Thao! Your glow is beautiful!
It’s gonna switch to galaxy watch 5 very soon.
💥💥 This looks like a womans watch
You made a mistake about messages, you can fully respond to messages with an on screen keyboard.
How do u do that's thanks
7 Days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Beautiful watch but the Harmony OS is a no go needs wear OS
Huawei is banned in the US
something not of samsung :hehe
Y r u not making videos on Samsung S8 plus tablet 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
What does that even mean 💀
Samsung can be in the business of selling igloos and I'm interested, any other electronic manufacturer - not so much!
I've said it many times during the launch, white ceramic on a watch is like having a toilet bowl on yr wrist
I mean it really really beautiful but on the other hand looks like all of plastic...idk
TLDR, not worth the money.
- can't make payments
- when you start any workout you are locked in to that screen, can't multitask
This for 700-800 dollars. You got to be kidding me. Even my Amazfit GTS-2e which I got for 150 bucks back in the day, now it's 90, (which can't pay either, no NFC chip) is much better. It does workouts, and while any workout is running I can still control Spotify with it, or start any other app/widget (stopwatch, timer, any sensor app [heart rate etc.]). Just on a whim I tried running different apps right now, and I had 4 of them running in the background, fully running, I could see all of them run in real time (numbers/data on screen changing for all of them) overview on one screen, full multitasking, you can switch between them and they are running in the background, and...just go and switch songs on Spotify at the same time...and it has "offline voice control" by the way. I don't know what Huawei is thinking when they set the price to 800 for their GT3. It's so laughable. That watch lacks the most basic. It's worth 150 max and even for 150 it lacks features.
You're comparing a cheaply made fitness tracker vs a Ceramic built with a sapphire screen smartwatch. That alone commands a higher price tag. I still own the OG Huawei watch that came out over 6 years ago and still looks like new because of the same build materials. Can you say that about any cheap fitness tracker?
The things you mentioned aren't deal breakers but conveniences. If I ever needed to multitask, I have my phone for that.
@@Gabilleta It's not worth 800. There is no defense for it. I will give you that: the BUILD QUALITY, that's all it has!
I understand your point about materials being used, and I agree with you on that. I own a Jacques Lemans Ceramic 1-1630 Chronograph watch which is worth 450€ (on the official website), so I see why a ceramic build would up the price for the GT3. However, not to 800€ Canadian. The software is lackluster. It either has scuffed features, or lacks certain features. It might be a nice accessory to wear on your wrist on a night out, like a bracelet, but other than that it's a sub-par smartwatch, and if I'm paying 800 I expect a lot more. A lot more!
Say what you will, but as a "smartwatch" I'm rating it LOWER than an Amazfit GTS-2e just looking in terms of features / daily use / productivity, and I hate that this is turning into some sort of advertisement for another product. The GTS series isn't even that good. Jesus Christ. I'm only comparing features that I personally use on something that I own, and I see that the GT3 doesn't have for some bizarre reason (for that price). Forget the "fitness" features. Just basic Notes+Calendar+Alarm+Stopwatch+MusicControls+BatteryLife(5 days or so), and multitasking. If you're underplaying the importance of multitasking...I don't even know what to say anymore. That's how you use any "smart" device, be it Smartphone, or Laptop, or Computer. You multitask.
Also, a "cheap fitness tracker" is something you get for 20-50 dollars. A Fit2, Fitbit, Mi Band, etc. That's not it. Some fitness trackers with smart features, or smart watches with fitness features in the mid price range (150-250) are VERY good. The only thing cheap about them is usually the plastic build, but then again you also see gadgets made out of plastic go for 1000+ as well, so it's weird how labeling something "cheap" works. You can certainly say some materials are more durable, some more aesthetically pleasing, some lighter, some heavier, but calling something "cheap" just because is dishonest. The Huawei GT3 has a good build. That's the only thing it has! It's features are CHEAP (compared to even mediocre competitors).
PS: Oh and "[you got your OG Huawei watch 6 years ago, and it's still good, looks like new you say, congratulations] Can you say that about any cheap fitness tracker?"
Yes, my Amazfit GTS-2e looks brand new after a couple years use.
@@VladimirMizich 800 dollars? Where do you live where it's priced literally double that of where I love lmao
Why did you say GT3 when this is the GT3 Pro and even then its a super fancy version one...
Regular GT3 is around 200$ and the regular non fancy GT3 Pro is around 300-400$.
So the choice is easy, you go with the GT3, you dont get sapphire glass and 1-2 features but other than that its pretty much the same.
I watched a lot of videos about Amazfit but people have said the software experience is less smooth and unpolished and the sensors are unreliable.
Yeah no multitasking sucks but I would take that over a laggy or unpolished software any day.
No idea how this is 800$ in Canada, even in Europe this costs 300-400$.
$799!!!! Holy crap. Crippled features and way more money than a Galaxy Watch. Are they just going for the fashionable crowd?
So basically this is a good premium looking watch with features that can be found in any other cheap smartwatch since it cannot have an esim, ecg-Nfc limited to few countries.
Why would I pay so high for only basic features?
I'd go for GW5 pro anyday which has the same titanium build or Apple if iPhone user anyday for more premium.
Yes the battery lasts long because it cannot do what a true 'smart' watch like Apple or Samsung can do.
You at least have to be able to reply to notifications using a keyboard if you're paying so much
who wants to pay with a watch
No payments then no buy
My biggest issue with this watch is there is no reason to buy it when you already have a smartwatch it has nothing unique about it, and the design is also nothing special sadly
It still really doesn't sound that good.. And how expensive is it and how crappy is the app cause I know The app is horrible.Being able to answer text by voice and all that does it have that doesn't seem to have much really. And how much is it? Aren't I like that it has at least a Crown since Galaxy took out their bessel I can't believe that crap.
Looks like a toy compared to Samsung.
Just my personal, honest opinion, Huawei product, software and UI design doesn't match its price, not look premium, just like a $80 watch. No bias, I am Chinese, I never buy Huawei products, just because the security and privacy concern.
Software and UI doesnt match the price because for some reason this is extremely overpriced, in europe this same watch is around 300-400$, no idea how its that expensive in Canada...
But the point is the battery life, you dont get this much battery life with neither a GW4 or Apple watch or even their Huwei Watch 3 which is more comparable to a GW4.
Also maybe you didnt get the memo but all companies and governments spy on you, so worrying about privacy with chinese products are totally pointless.
