i really like the fact that you giving us the torque spec for all the bolts etc.. really helpful when it comes to do some DIY work at home and have your videos playing, Thank you very much 👍
I installed these identical rearsets on my 2020 rr. The two mounting holes on each end of the shift lever (where the quickshifter connects) vary the amount of pull or push required on the quickshifter when you change gears. You'll notice there is an engraving near each hole. On the GP shift end, you will see RS and RF (reverse slow and reverse fast) and on the normal shift end just S and F (slow and fast). I've connected mine to the RF hole so I have a short throw GP shift.
Wrenching and riding what's not to like,, just fitted Michelin power 5 on the 06 gsxr 1000 I've bought,, as the roads here in November are no good for the sc2 corsa it came with,, another great set of videos coming our way ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️rear sets look awesome ☘️☘️☘️from Northern Ireland greatly appreciated
Gilles are really good! Got them on 2 of my bikes. Very grippy and can be used as a murder weapon. If you walk around the bike with shorts be VERY careful.
I had these fitted on my 22 plate R, they don’t fit properly. If looked on from above they didn’t come out at 90 degrees to the bike and they were slightly pointing downwards. Looked trick but didn’t feel right. I would wait until Gilles do a specific set for the single R.
Vince is correct, they don't point a true 90 degrees off the bike. I just installed these on my 22 S1000R and they are tilted forwards by a degree or two. I ride with my feet pointing outwards so it's not a big deal since my feet aren't square to the bike regardless, but they are definitely not a 100% perfect fit. I'm indifferent towards the very slight angle so I would say it's 98% perfect. I'm guessing the RR uses a slightly different rear section of the frame If you stand over the bike and look down, you'll notice they have a very slight forward tilt edit: Also, the exhaust mounting point is also further out so if you turn the stock muffler to mate to it, it will be rotated at a weird outward angle. Not the end of the world
This is a direct lift motorcycle lift, see who supplies them where you're from. (Google). More simple and cheaper option is a motorcycle lift from harbor freight.

😂😂😂👌 Noted
Great Vid! I have the M Package rear sets on my s1kr that I love! Fully adjustable. I like the lowest setting being 6+ft.
Perfect!
Can you post the tightening torque table for the 2022 s1000r.

Great video very detailed nice work
Really like the rearsets
👌
Instead of changing the spring you can purchase the bracket for the new generation of RR. It's less than $10 if I remember correctly.
🤔
@@CaliMotoTV 😎
I just shortened the stock spring by about an 1", works great and retains the dirt guard
@@Dixie866how did you do that?
Just cut the long end down then bend a hook into it@@PedroSantos-sg9gz
What year RR are these? They look great
2022
@@CaliMotoTV thank you!
Hi Bill, when is this puppy going on the dyno?
Still working on it

Ours fit properly.
@@CaliMotoTV I would like to see a view from directly above if possible and from the rear.

Can you adjust the brake lever. My stock lever makes my shins tired.
Yea. 95% of your braking should happen with the front brake.
I want to get the Gilles rearsets for my Streetfighter.
👌 👌 👌
Is it more comfortable for long rides now?
No, we moved the rear sets up for more aggressive riding style.
@@CaliMotoTV how does it help with comfort, is it more or less comfortable now with the rear set
