It`s so sad seeing how excited jeremy was for this......and then imagining the bitter disappointment taking hold of him as he actually watched the movie!!
Most of us don't have to imagine this feeling because we all experienced the exact same thing ourselves.

Sad is too weak of a word. A lot of us felt the painful disappointment with The Last Jedi I felt a similar painful inner disappointment leaving the theater after seeing Episode I: The Phantom Menace. But, in time, I began to appreciate Episode I more. But, as time passes, I’ll never forgive how Kathleen Kennedy’s puppet, Rian Johnson, ruined Star Wars possibly beyond repair (hopefully I’m wrong).

This is so sad... I never saw this video until now and seeing his reaction to the trailer and everything that has happened since shows how TLJ has torn the fan base apart. Jeremy she keep a link to this video in his back pocket for anyone who says he is just a Disney hating fanboy who never gave the sequels a chance. He doesn't mention anything about how he thinks it should go, he doesn't nerd out on any fan theories, he acknowledges that Disney is obviously taking Star Wars in a different direction and he looks like a kid on Christmas about it. This is proof that he (like many of us) gave Rian Johnson a chance to become a legend.

It's quite interesting to watch this several month after the movie came out, and with all the backlash. The trailer was so much better than the actual movie. Even the music was better. Your comment a bout Johnson, priceless.

Watching this is absolutely heartbreaking. The trailer was amazing. It brings me back to when I was eager to consume the next morsel Star Wars had to offer. Then Luke says, "This is not going to go the way you think!" an I'm immediately ripped out of that moment because Luke was right.
This is the first time I've seen you before TLJ. You've got an entirely different tone, a different outlook.

I'm watching this video for the first time and it's both sad and hilarious that you're so excited by a trailer for the movie that you're going to wind up hating. It just goes to show how trailers lie to you. On the surface I can see why you would be excited by this trailer because all you see really are the good things.
The part where you said Rian Johnson is going to become a legend was so funny I almost pissed myself.
THE TRAILER was soooooooooooooooooooooo much BETTER than the movie. There was so much potential... I was so excited. Everyone was so excited. Hands down BEST trailer for the WORST movie of all time.
Seeing a reaction to it again almost makes me wanna do my own rewrite... just the sheer speculation this trailer threw me headlong into could make for something far more entertaining and satisfying than the actual movie. Just imagine if all the most die-hard fans came together with ideas based on this trailer. We would craft such an epic movie, and beyond that... something truly special.
Worst movie of all time is a big exaggeration, but yeah, the trailer was a lot better.

Jeremy, before THE CHANGE. It's so sad to see this after what We actually got 2 months later. The trailer was the best thing about TLJ. At least the trailer for The Force Awakens was pretty much matched by the content of the actual film in Episode VII.

I waited until after the movie to see the trailer to avoid spoilers. The trailer is a MILLION times better.
I remember feeling the same way about the trailer and I think I was even more disappointed than Jeremy was after watching the movie . It is shameful how they market these movies a certain way to attract a certain crowd that otherwise would not watch the damn movie if they showed the way it actually is.

Certainly THE most deceptive trailer to date. The shots, music, cutting and moving everything definitely made it feel like the movie we wanted. I love how Jeramy starts to tear up in excitement, same thing happened to me after the first viewing. I think I watched the trailer daily for at least two weeks.

My disappointment to that movie started when Snoke was killed off before he could tell his backstory.
