FYI: although the entire video is riveting entertainment, the money saving tips start at the 6:50 mark if you’re interested in that! Lol. Thanks everyone! 👊🏻👊🏻🍻🍻
I've been a fan of Olight way back when they branded their torches as iTP. And i still have a hand full of those as well as an ever growing collection of their latest iterations. Keep on Shining On! Zip~
I own a few Olights and they are awesome lights. I first discovered them back in 2016. Now have a decent collection of them. Awesome flashlights once again.
Super happy to see the company getting so much love! So far I have: S1R Baton Warrior X (got the sweet green edition) PL-MINI Valkyrie 2 (3 of them for my handguns) PL-Pro (2 on my rifles) H2R as a backpack/hiking light I plan to add a couple of their very large lights to my collection soon.
That flashlight is perfect for your toddler. My two-year-old is always running away with my small Olights (I1R, I3E, I3T), she loves them because they're "her size".
what a great video with a huge array of olights there, this for me is perfect as i can see all the ones that I'm pretty much interested in, on one episode, thanks man .
I’ve had a bad cap switch on one of my lights (H2R) it was not charging off the magnetic adapter. Olight sent me a new one after a contacted them. So warranty response was pretty good on my side.
Great video. Thanks for sharing your tips and experience with Olight. Just getting into EDC flashlights and your vid solidified my choice to go with Olight. Probably going to snag a S2R Baton II and the little key chain one. Again thanks for the awesome video.
Olight is having a FLASH sale for a green S2R Baton II, on 11-11-19. As seen here: www.olightstore.com/bundle-s2r-baton-ii-green.html $52.50 for the light alone, or $54 for the light and a bundled UV key chain light.
Great video and well made. I got into flashlights about a year and a half ago. My wife and I are avid hikers out here in Southern California. We were out on a hike in Black Star Canyon located in Silverado, California. We seriously misjudged the distance so we decided to turn back but it was too late and night fall engulfed us. We had only our cell phone lights for illumination on this trail which was terrible n stupid. Right before we reached the trail head we heard the most frightening human sounds coming from a pitch black dark area of a dry creek. With that said, we have become avid flashlight collectors. Our first flashlights were from Olight. We each carry 2 flashlights on our long hikes. We'll join ur channel today and check in frequently to gain some knowledge on new and upcoming flashlights and knives. Thanks again for a great video. Ed.
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words, Ed! I’m honored to have you join the channel! Needing a flashlight in a scenario like that and not having one is indeed an unsettling experience to say the least. I’ve found that there have been a series of experiences in my life that have led me to become progressively more prepared in general. It didn’t happen overnight, but I’m glad it did. And now it’s become a hobby and a passion and there’s such a great community of like minded people out there it’s amazing. Thanks again for watching. All the best to you and your wife!
Great video, I am a big flashlight junkie , people also tell me why I have tons of flashlights and I say they are all different in a way, some have different features and outputs , I have all brands and expensive ones but Olight seems to grab my money the most just love them and my Copper i3T is getting a nice aged patina , thanks again
Hey Susan! Thanks so much for watching. I’m the same as you, and Olight takes my money a lot as well. My Copper I3T that carry has gotten super dark as well! Cheers!
I have had the i3T for about 5 months now and like it a lot for being a small edc i can grab and go. I work as a courier and getting in and out of my vehicle, half of the clip broke from the seat belt buckle. Called them to find out how much a replacement was to order (as it wasnt on the site or I couldnt find it lol), and they sent it NEXT DAY free of charge. Olight is good with me. Would recommend.
Honestly, I’ve gotta say that with only owning 2 Olight brand lights, for a short time (about a year) I love the brand! The S1R Baton was my first and then the M2R Warrior was second, and I’m looking at getting the Warrior X next
Love Olight and love Kershaw. Olight you get what you pay for, Kershaw, you get legitimate value for money in my opinion. I keep my knife/light EDC simple with an SR Batton II and a Kershaw Al Mar 3. Don't really change that up too often. With respect to Kershaw the 8Cr13MoV steel they use on that range is outstanding. Easily as good as S30V with respect to hand sharpening and edge retention. Those two brands just do what the say on the box and they do it well.
Bring those kiddos up right!! Two of my kids are in their 20's now and I still get them all a small flashlight in their stockings every year for Christmas.
I have a Fenix I really like. I just ordered the Olight Baton Pro. I’m sure I will like it but I will miss the switch on the rear cap for momentary on/off and the clip looks to stick out too far. The Fenix will continue to serve me at work and the Olight should be great for home use.
Great tips! I use them all. I first learned of Olight when I bumped into an Olight employee just north of Marietta... I had a ZebraLight, he obviously had an Olight. I had never heard of them. I've bought a lot since then! Nice choice for your child's light. That should keep him safe at sleepovers!
Haha, hey MTN Man! Thanks for watching. Yeah, all of the other kids are scared of him now for some reason? Not sure why. I will say I do need to add a zebralight to my collection. Have heard nothing but rave reviews.
@@GearedTowardGear1, ZL is a very good company. They don't give anything out to be reviewed, because they don't need to! Speaking of deals and sales. I have my eye on the PL-PRO Valkyrie this Friday. Thoughts?
The PRO seems awesome - very modular to go from pistol to shotgun to rifle and accept a pressure switch. And at 1500lm it’s tempting. My concern is this, and totally preference based - I would only use it on my AR15, and with my size home 1500lm is actually too bright and could cause a lot of light reflection back at me off the walls. And my yard isn’t big enough to need that much light either. On a pistol I think 1500 is way too bright unless your talking military or LE. I like 400-600lm for most all of my weapons lights. But it’s still so damn tempting. Damn Olight and their marketing and flash sales! lol.
@@GearedTowardGear1, I agree with those concerns.1500 lumen is a lot for where I'll be using mine as well. That is what has held me back in the past. Olight must have known this because with this model they've introduced, "low mode for indoor use (300 lumens)"! When I saw that in the email....bamm... getting two. One for an AR and the other for the G34 MOS. I like the option of 1500 lumen, even though it only lasts for a minute....that should be all you need. But the 300 lumen will be perfect for checking on things that don't seem right where I'm at.
I didn’t realize it had that lower 300 lumen mode. Hmmmmm. You may have just cost me like $300!!! Lol. I’ll have to look into them some more before the sale. I just saw 1500lm and kind of blew it off. Thanks for the info!!
I love the light bit . My son is 7 but we have over 5 or 6 by now that he is starting to love. I actually paid full price on an olight as an extra light for my firearm for home protection, and I planned to return either the olight or the viridian with laser - I kept both because although I felt like I wanted to keep the laser as an option, the olight was so nice, durable, and easily charged, that I had to keep it. Love olight.
That’s fantastic, Jon. I love seeing kids getting interested in gear, my son is even now starting to reach for and play with my Olights. Lol. I have a couple of Olight Valkyrie series lights on a couple of my home defense pistols, they work so well. Thanks for watching as always!!
As always thanks for posting!! And yeah for events at their school at night, they always come to me to ask if I have any extra lights and I send them out with massdrop copper, massdrop Ti, and massdrop Copper reylight and they all talk about which material they like more and the spill and the throw😂👌🏼. Smart kids.
Don't have one but it's nice to see they have weapons light setups. Wonder which one would be good on an ar15. I looked at the m2r pro warrior. It looks very capable.
Hey Kyle, thanks for watching! The M2R Pro Warrior could certainly be a good option for an AR15. For me personally it’s a bit large and heavy for a rifle mounted light. That’s just personal preference though. On every one of my personal AR15’s I use either an Olight PL-Pro Valkyrie (1500 lumens, light only), or an Olight Baldr Pro (1350 lumen light & a green laser). They’re quick mounting, lightweight, and easy to operate. They will also work on pistols and shotguns as well which is a bonus.
Yeah, I’ve heard great things bit don’t own one. I’ll get one at some point, there’s many Olights that I don’t own, and the flashlight/knife/gear wishlist is always really long, lol. My favorite keychain light would have to be the RovyVon Aurora series. They’re not micro sized like the i1R but they’re crazy bright. Thanks for watching!! 🤙👊🍻
That Georgia office is indeed nice to deal with. I got in on the tail end (meaning just AFTER) a particular sale recently. I e-mailed them to ask about it and they allowed me to still make a purchase after the sale by several days. I appreciated their flexibility. They wouldn't allow me to purchase more than just one at the previous sale price, but at least I got a taste for them and it's a great light.
Their warranty is fantastic I bought the seaker 2 pro during one of their flash sales where it was in tan and I'm security so I carried it in the holster every day at work and one day I started to smell smoke well come to find out the turbo is so bright and hot it caught the holster on fire they sent out a new one no questions asked
Had my warrior x pro for under 2 months it failed from the heat of a hot car on a summer day olight customer service refused to do anything, I was into that light almost 300 dollars with pressure pad and now I have a bad taste in my mouth and a light wallet. Glad I had my surefire from 10 years ago that still rocks like a champ put that back on my go to rifle.olight is not battle ready gear, customer service was not helpful and warranty sucks.buy at your own risk. I'm happy I learned now rather than spending more money on this company and having a failure in a fight and dying!
Can you make a video on pen lights comparing them to the Milwaukee penlight. In my little experiment the Milwaukee is the best in store pen light and would be a good baseline to other online brands.
I don’t have a Milwaukee penlight but I do have several good quality penlights. I can definitely add it to my list of videos to do in the future. If it’s the Milwaukee light I’ll thinking of with the red pocket clip they’re not too bright, maybe 100 lumens. Most of mine are around 250 lumens.
And you, sir, got yourself a like solely due to your Vtech intro. Actually LOLd when I saw it. Well done. And yes, I am also an Olight fanatic as well 👍
I own several.. The best part about them. I never had to use the Warranty. And I use them all everyday. So yes they last. On the plus side. You got built in redundancy with the same charger. I still invested in an XTAR VS4S charger. With several extra batteries...
Hey thanks so much for watching! I have the same XTAR charger! Yeah I’ve never had to warranty anything. I’ve had to talk with customer service a few times and they were great.
Great buying tips on (from what I've seen) an excellent flashlight company! For quite a while the only lights I used were certain Streamlight and Surefire offerings, though I don't need those types of features any more :) Thanks for another great flashlight video!
Thanks JJ! I was the same way with Streamlight and SureFire. I still have several and I do still like Streamlight, not a huge Surefire fan anymore but they make some good stuff for sure. We’re certainly spoiled these days with so many good options what span the cost spectrum. And some of these budget companies like Sofirn put oitbexcellent stuff and amazing prices. But somehow Olight seems to take most of my money, lol. But at least I’m not paying retail!
Surefire is way over-priced as they are used to their Govt. contracts :) I still have (and like) the Streamlight stuff, as well, since it's very unique! There is definitely a ton of cool stuff available these days! Thanks again!
I absolutely love Olight. I took part in the sale around Christmas and got like ~300 dollars worth of flashlights for free after buying ~250. I plan on buying even more later in the year when they run sales again. They are sturdy, and they make lights for any application. I now have a handful of S2 and S2R batons that I have acquired , and daily carry them. I have a 3UV EOS and 3E EOS that I got for free in the sale that I carry together on one chain because they are perfect at what they individually do and very powerful for their size; the fact they use AAA batteries is a plus, just throw some cheap batteries in and you are good to go. You can also go for a more bulletproof setup and skimp some extra cash on some ultimate lithium, that will last a long while and be cold durable; I tend to do this in any of my camping gear, plus have a waterproof magpul case with a bunch of extra batteries for my gear. I got a PL-Pro with the RPL-7 switch in the sale, but I just use the light standalone on my pistols. Also have a M2R Pro with the pressure switch that I mount on one of my ARs. I totally agree with the interchangeability of the magnetic chargers, and also love the interchangeability of the magnetic tail cap switches/pressure switches. If I wanted to, which I totally will, I will get more of the pressure switches and just have other rifles setup to quickly move the light from one to another.
I have the i3teos in copper but I find that I'm not carrying much because of the weight as much as the lumentop tool. I prefer the Fenix brand (UC 35), but not a huge fan of their smaller flashlights... Great video.
Hey Connor thanks for watching! I have the same I3T copper and don’t carry it that often for that exact reason. And the Tool AA 2.0 is one of my altime favorites and most carried! Fenix is great too!
I like the light out put color and modes of Olight however like you I’ve owned a lot in the past and I’ve sent about 7 back. If you drop them there’s a good chance it won’t work. There was a time when I had to change a tire and my Olight failed me, that was the breaking point so I sold them off and only stick with Malkoff, Elzetta, Surefire now. But I will say Olights are very appealing
Hey thanks for watching! I’ve been fortunate to not have any issues, although I’ve only dropped a couple of them on concrete. I’m also a big Elzetta & Surefire fan 👊.
I am a BIG Olight Fan TOO! In last 20 months since I first heard of Olight and I ordered my first one which was the M2T Warrior I have gotten about every other Major Release that they have had and I have always gotten them on the Special Release Pricing and Gotten the Bundles. I now have over 20 Olights to go along with my Streamlights and Surefires that I do not use ANYMORE because Olight Offers More Capabilities and for better Price Points. I Really like the Rechargeable capabilities and dual batteries Options of some of the lights and being able to charge the battery right on the light with the magnetic charger is AWESOME! I do have to say that The QUality of Olight is as Good as Streamlight and even Surefire.
As was stated, sign up for the emails. Flash deals and bundles. Often in limited edition colors. Picked up the tan and od green versions of the warrior x a few months ago. Have the gunmetal gray and desert camo due in any day.
I have 3 Olights and very pleased with them, battery on one of them went bad and when I reached out to Olight to see what the issue was they helped me troubleshot it and sent me a replacement battery within few days. Excellent product and customer service. For the price comparing to other high end flash lights you can beat Olight. Definitely recommend Olight!
Been using the s2a daily at work for about 2 years now I'm guessing if not longer. Used and abused daily it keeps going. I have a ton of their products now.
My first olight was and is an S2A. I run it with disposable lithium AA batteries to prevent the dreaded leakage corrosion. It is my constant bedside and nighttime companion, with the glow in the dark grip making it easy to find when you wake to a noise, and the ultra-low light mode is fantastic for wandering the house late at night with an amazing battery life.
Definitely olight is a great product!! Thanks for the tips!! I wasn’t aware that they discontinued the s1a baton that sucks it’s a great little light!! Thanks for sharing brother!!
What’s up GG! Thanks for watching brother. Yeah I was bummed they discontinued the S1A. You can still find them on Amazon for around $40, but I wish Olight would release another 14500 battery powered light.
Thank you thank you for this video! I was about to drop 70 bucks on the s2r ii, but checked amazon after watching this and got one for about 48 bucks. It was called the deal of the day or something like that.
I have the sr1 and it's great, but the external switch is quite small and stiff? I have some nerve damage in my fingers and cannot find the switch in pitch dark!
Like Olight bbbut hate this charging connector mechanism at the tail of the light it never stop to fail and by so fails the flashlight [when dust dirt or whatever gets in between those moving parts]
Well, I looked to see if there were any on sale so I could buy one and see if it's all the rage but none on sale that I could find. I'd love to find one for $30 or under to test it out.
I’m not seeing anything on sale at the moment either. There are 2 lights that I think are both pretty good and are on their more inexpensive side: the I3T EOS ($20 retail) and the M1T Raider ($39 retail). I don’t know that I’ve ever seen the I3T on sale but I have seen the M1T Raider on sale a couple times for $30. If I see anything good on sale in the future I’ll shoot you a message on Facebook 👊
I don't know why I got so hooked on flashlights, but I did and Olights are the brand I switched to a couple of years ago. I lost count at 20 of them. I have given them to every friend and relative I have. I think a good EDC light should work for selfdefense as well as just useful to see in the dark. I use them in the day time too, under the seat of a car, and just dark areas that I need to see to find stuff. I carry a small one in the day and a larger size at night, usually. I have my share of huge floods and throwers too, some of those are other brands to get the best performance. This guy is right, you should always wait until the Olight you want, goes on sale on their website or Amazon. You can get them 30-50% off no problem. I've had 4 lemon Olights and had one of them replaced under warranty, haven't bothered with the others but overall, I happy with the quality of them, all brands have some lemon lights and some brands mostly are lemons. One reason to stick with one brand like Olight is so they operate the same way.
I would love one of those small ones on the end as a EDC. I wouldn't like to say how much money I have lost on flashlights over my life and the main problem is faulty switches.A mate of mine who is a mechanic is also looking for a reliable light as a EDC , Work light.Great video.
I’m telling you, Kurt - all the cool kids have them. You don’t want to get made fun of on the playground do you? Lol. Thanks so much for watching, Kurt. All the best 👊
Haha, thanks so much for watching! I’m loving the #DadLife so hard right now, lol. And I have another on the way! Thanks for subbing, I’m honored to have you join the channel! All the best.
It depends on the light and battery size/capacity. I just keep a magnetic charging cable on my bedside and charge it overnight like I do my cell phone so it’s always fully charged. To speed things up though I’ll take the batteries out and charge them on a battery charging bank if I need to charge a few at once.
I like these as well , I carry i3T eos in copper daily , S1R baton , and a i3E eos on my truck keys ..... S2R 2 is next on my list.... I love the mag charger cord !
Really like the tips on how to get Olights at a better deal. The only one I knew about was their flash sales. I really like their rechargeable lights. It is not always easy to find the cable and at least for me to remember which one works on which. Does the L dock eliminate that issue or do only certain lights work with L dock. Really liked the review and tips. I enjoy O light when not paying full retail. Thank you for making this video. I can now hopefully get better deals on the ones I buy.
You bet, Rick! I’m all about saving some money! I believe the L Dock works will all of the current magnetic charging lights other than some of their weapons lights. The newer MCC cables should also work with most all of the newer magnetic lights. Cheer my man!
I find it a little scary that my collection looks a lot like yours. The only thing that I can think that might me con is the fact they give you this special batteries so the charge system work. On the other hand the lights work with "normal" battereis too.
I am really digging that first flashlight you reviewed! Where can I get a vtech light? Will it mount to an mlok rail? Or is it more of a pistol weapon light? Thanks!😂😂 You got yourself a new subscriber for that review!
Hey Caleb thanks so much for watching! I now have the Vtech mounted on my concealed carry weapon, a S&W Shield. It was hard to find someone willing to make me a custom Kydex holster, and it’s sort of uncomfortable, I just couldn’t resist! Lol. Thanks again for watching, I’m honored to have you joining the channel. All the best! 👊👊👊
Olight rocks for my use the S1Rs have become some of my favorites. Just got the seeker 2 blue and i3teos in tan or brown lol lost my tan i3eeos today on a hunt looking on eBay I can buy the bigger one for the same price crazy oh well gotta have it 😂.I was disappointed that the Seeker 2 didn't come with a holster like some of my others. Enjoyed the video Sean ✌️
They don’t actually. Not currently. They used to have the S1A and S2A (you can still find them on eBay brand new for decent prices). I have both of them - good lights.
They do have at least 2 flashlights that run off a single AAA, if you're willing to go to a smaller alkaline. They are the I3E EOS (twist head design with single 90 lumen setting), and the I3T EOS. The latter has 2 modes operated by tail switch, giving you either a 5 lumen "moonlight" mode, or a solid 180 lumen high setting. That tail switch also has a momentary feature.
Right on! I got a couple Seeker 2 Pro’s last time they had a sale and sold them both. I’m not sure if I’m going to get the blue Seeker 2, but I’m definitely going to get the S1R II in desert tan!
Just purchased the s2r 2 in Le green . Not quite the same shade of green as my pm 2 scales . It was a toss up of that and a nitecore model . Sadly I paid full price.. but I wanted the green one lol
No, I don’t think so. They look cool, especially the camo version, but it’s not as practical for me. I prefer the older M2R being smaller, and being an 18650 that can also run on 2 CR123’s. I’m not as big of a fan of the 21700 powered lights. I think it’s a good deal if you get it during the flash sale for sure, I just probably won’t snag one this time.
Yeah, I ordered a total of 10 flashlights during this latest flash sale and got 8 for free. I may sell a couple but most will be gifts and giveaway items.
This videos a few years old now, but yeah, I generally buy all my olights during their sales. I have a ton of extras I've got from them, either from reaching a certain price point, or like they're offering them for a dollar or something. I actually had an order get lost either in their warehouse or the mail, and they sent me the same package no questions, and they even through in an extra Keychain flashlight lol. Now that they're dabbling in Damascus, I'm even more in love with their stuff. I do need to look into other brands as well down the line, but yeah, olight is solid. The way I always describe it is that an olight is something I'd give to a friend, or could feel comfortable handing to a friend. All the battery cells are protected, most have either USB C or magnetic charging at this point, or just take standard cells, so I don't worry about someone charging a bare li-ion. I frankly have *too* many of their products now lol, but that's a good problem to have I guess. Their open pros are also dynamite little multi-use pens, what with the led and laser. Great video!
Not sure what the warranty is, but one of my first somewhat expensive flashlights was a Voidhawk T-Rex T-2 which uses dual 26650 batteries. About 6 years later, something on the circuit board went bad, and I searched their site for a replacement circuit board, which I could not find. I called them and they informed me that the T-2 was no longer made, but he would look and see if he could find one, and if he could he would send it to me. Two days later, I received a package from them. It included a letter apologizing for my problem with the T-2, and included a new T-2, but that was not all. The T-rex T-2 had been discontinued and replaced with a T-Rex T-3, and they included the new T-3 version of the light. That is a 120 dollar retail, and 60 dollars on sale flashlight. The T-3 can also be fitted with an extension to use 3x26650 batteries, and they sent that too. I did not expect warranty on a 6 year old light, just wanted to purchase a circuit board. The Voidhawk is not my favorite flashlight, and they are a bit high priced compared to some. I have never had a company go that far with customer service though. I was, like I say just wanting to BUY a circuit board, and received the whole replacement light and the newer model with an extension tube, and I did not even have to pay shipping or send them back the bad one. They are good lights, but their customer service sets them apart.
Great reveiws, great flashlights!! I hadn't watched any other review that liked the S1 Baton as much as I love mine. I can't find the S1a baton anywhere, but I found the S1R Baton on Ebay with a 1000 lumen output and the same flashlight from another seller with the output listed as 900 Lumen on the "official" olight box. Wouldn't it make sense that they use a different number for a flashlight that has a different lumen output? The 900 lumen output is $47.96 vs $60.00 for the 1000. Shipping included. Same light? Thanks
Hey Frank, thanks for watching! Hmmm. Interesting. I know the older S1 Baton has a slightly lower output than the current S1R II (I think). Weird to see the same light with two different outputs though.
Hi. I think these lights are great, they are shown all over RUclips BUT. This is the first time i have seen a vid where the person has bought one. They were always donated by O-light to be reviewed. i had looked because of the saturation of RUclips. It is difficult to find someone who shows another make apart from the occasional fenix. I have never submitted to the constant urge to buy one because of the price. Here in Europe (as with so many products) they are more than in the States. I will go and look on EBay now and see if i cant get one cheaper. Thanks for the tips. I am sure the EDC and knife Community would be bigger here if we could pay Less. I will go and watch your previous vids you mention on budget lights. . Good health and stay safe. PS. Love the V-Tech. Lol.
Hey Rhino, thanks so much for watching! It is a shame that the prices are so much higher in Europe, that is a bummer. And yes I bought each and every one of these lights. I do occasionally get free lights from some budget brands, but typically give them away to a subscriber. Thanks again for watching and enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Cheers.
I prefere this review to , say a Sootch/Sensible prepper review for that fact. It may not be true but i feel that when people are getting high priced gear free all the time the reviewer feels obliged to be biased.
Hey there, thanks for watching! Unfortunately they have all basically disappeared. I can’t even find them on eBay. It’s a shame, it’s one of the best lights they made. I did talk to Olight recently and asked if they had plans to update it or release any light for that matter that runs on a AA or a 14500 and they said they have no plans. Total bummer.
Bought over $10,000 worth of olights had issues with one 2 months after receiving it and they told me fly a kite. Would never waste my money on a company that doesn't honor its warranty especially after spending that much money on them. Will be replacing them all just for that fact no trust I'm olight
Could you recommend a light for a mechanic to wear in a shirt pocket? Im kind of a edc/knife nerd and I like high quality tools. I'd like something that's rechargable or can at least take rechargable lithium batteries. I'd like to stay around $50 or less preferably. I've have a 100 lumen 2 AAA buchnell lite for the last 5 years. It's been great but the rubber tail cap button is starting to wear through.
Hey thanks so much for watching! That’s a great question. I’m not a mechanic so I’m not sure how many lumens would be ideal, but there are a few penlights that I really really like that could be good options. I think the #1 option would be the “Streamlight Stylus Pro USB Rechargeable”. It goes for right around $52 and puts out 250 lumens on high, and 90 lumens on low. I like that it only has 2 setting. Simple to operate. It charges via micro-USB cable and adapter which is included, so that’s a bonus. The Thrunite Ti4T is a 2 x AAA penlight made from titanium that puts out 300 lumens and goes for $30. It does not however take rechargeable Lithiums. It will take rechargeable NiMh batteries though. It’s going to be pretty durable being Titanium, but maybe a bit on the slippery side. It had 3 brightness setting. The only downside is that when it dies you have to recharge it using the USB charger. I don’t think you can use AAA batteries in it, I believe it only works with the included proprietary Li-Ion battery. The other one that I really like is the ThorFire PF04. It’s only like $9.99 and puts out 200 lumens on 2 x AAA batteries. It also will not take rechargeable Lithiums but it will take rechargeable NiMh. I have like 6 of the ThorFire PF04s because they’re so damn cheap and surprisingly bright. It also has 3 brightness setting. I use the Amazon Basics brand NiMh rechargeable AAA batteries and they work really well. I’d just get an inexpensive battery charger and keep a few spare batteries on hand. You can get an 8 pack of the Amazon Basics rechargeable AAA’s for about $16. AO you could have 2 batteries in the light and 6 extras fully charged on hand for when your batteries die, and just rotate through the batteries as needed. Hopefully that helps a bit. If there’s anything else I can do for you don’t hesitate to ask!
I don't own any olights myself as I find their price quite high relative to imalent and thrunite. Nothing really interested me until the warrior pro. How much discount do you usually offer for on ebay?
For sure. The flash sales on new releases are fantastic. That’s how I got the Warrior X, a Seeker 2 Pro (after I filmed this) and countless other freebies. Thanks for watching!
Yeah man, for sure. I have the Warrior X by my bed currently but I’m honestly less impressed by it each time I use it. May change out for something different. Maybe the Seeker!
I love Olight. Have fiew of them. But I was a little dissapointed because i have ordered some china lights ( lumintop, convoy etc ) and some of the same lumens and reflector where better than olight.Yea quality is better on olight no doubt. Still love olight but i like a lot of other brands.
Hey thanks so much for watching! I agree with you 100%, there are a lot of great lights out there that are good quality for cheap. I’ve got a Convoy S2+ and a Convoy C8+, both fantastic lights. Lumintop is one of my all-time favorite manufacturers. I’ve got a few FW3As, Tool 2.0’s, EDC05, GT Mini, GT Micro and a few others. I’m a big fan of the budget brands - Sofirn is another favorite brand of mine. Don’t get me wrong I love Olight, but I’m a flashlight junkie - I love them all! Thanks again for watching. All the best!! 👊👊👊
I love Olights also. But I only buy them when Olight has a big sale. I have mixed feelings about eBay and I'm not that good at navigating their site or bidding. Thanks for your videos and no I didn't buy an S2R II Pro either. I'm waiting for an S2R II in desert tan.
I really like the blue one, I’ve got 3 for around the house and at work.. I like the ability to change out AA batteries on the spot if needed. Good SHTF light too. I pick them up for around $25 on eBay.
I do NOT like olight at all.. but still good video:) I will admit they are one of the best flashlights to recommend to someone who doesn’t like or know anything about flashlights. So is streamlight. However anyone who’s interested in more customizable lights with higher quality output should not buy one. Also proprietary batteries 😡👎🏻
I just recently purchased the S1R BATON II. I have noticed when I turn the flashlight off at the 600 lumens level, after a period of time it falls back to the 60 lumens level, when I turn it back on. Is this normal?
Hi Rick! Thanks for watching! That is normal. Most Olight flashlights do not have a true memory feature, therefore when you turn the light off while in high or turbo, it will come back on in medium mode after it has sat for a short while.
@@GearedTowardGear1 Thanks for the info, this is my first Olight purchase, and I knew about the memory feature from watching RUclips videos, but I thought that would apply to high as well as the med, and low modes. I knew turbo was not included. Once again thank you.
Rick Malach - you are very welcome my friend! The memory function (or lack thereof) is totally a preference thing. I personally do like full memory function on most lights, but I can live without it. Some people avoid Olight altogether because of the lack of memory, other people hate memory and want their lights coming on in low every time. Different strokes for different folks I guess, huh? Lol. I just go with the flow and get used to each individual light and it’s quirks. Thanks again for watching and have a happy holidays!
@@GearedTowardGear1I normally run a Klarus XT2CR, but due to my stupidity it's in the garbage Dead. Anyway got another Klarus coming in the mail. This one is the XT12S, Yeah seems like I got hooked on the magnetic charging thing, plus the specs look real good.
I dislike how they constantly do limited edition releases. I was looking to buy a S2R baton 2 in copper, but I apperently missed it by a few months and the ebay ones are overpriced. I ended up going with a Fw3a lumintop in copper instead.
FYI: although the entire video is riveting entertainment, the money saving tips start at the 6:50 mark if you’re interested in that! Lol. Thanks everyone! 👊🏻👊🏻🍻🍻
7:23 actually
made me laugh with the vtech light, I have lights on order from mothers day deal...hopfully I get them soon.
Awesome!!
So far I have:
S1R Baton
Warrior X (got the sweet green edition)
PL-MINI Valkyrie 2 (3 of them for my handguns)
PL-Pro (2 on my rifles)
H2R as a backpack/hiking light
I plan to add a couple of their very large lights to my collection soon.
That’s awesome! You’ve got a great lineup there! Thanks so much for watching. All the best!
That flashlight is perfect for your toddler. My two-year-old is always running away with my small Olights (I1R, I3E, I3T), she loves them because they're "her size".
Hahaha. That’s great. My son has now started reaching for some of my better flashlights these days. Lol. P
What a great video, good to see I’m not the only person who likes torches ( flashlights) .
Gotta get my son 1 of them I hear preschool is a dark place lol 😂
what a great video with a huge array of olights there, this for me is perfect as i can see all the ones that I'm pretty much interested in, on one episode, thanks man .
You are very welcome! Thanks so much for watching!!
I’ve had a bad cap switch on one of my lights (H2R) it was not charging off the magnetic adapter. Olight sent me a new one after a contacted them. So warranty response was pretty good on my side.
I've watched the 1 minutmark and I love thatbyou don't take yourself too seriously! Watching the rest of the video now. And im a new sub!
Great video. Thanks for sharing your tips and experience with Olight. Just getting into EDC flashlights and your vid solidified my choice to go with Olight. Probably going to snag a S2R Baton II and the little key chain one. Again thanks for the awesome video.
You are very welcome Brett - I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I think the S2R is a great choice!
Olight is having a FLASH sale for a green S2R Baton II, on 11-11-19. As seen here: www.olightstore.com/bundle-s2r-baton-ii-green.html
$52.50 for the light alone, or $54 for the light and a bundled UV key chain light.
Be careful with the s2r, if you carry any credit cards in the same pocket, the magnet will deactivate them. I speak from experience.
@@GearedTowardGear1 Thx!
Hey thanks fir watching! And thanks for sharing that story, I’m glad to hear they took care if you! Im a big big fan of the I3T.
Honestly, I’ve gotta say that with only owning 2 Olight brand lights, for a short time (about a year) I love the brand! The S1R Baton was my first and then the M2R Warrior was second, and I’m looking at getting the Warrior X next
Hey Adrian, thanks for watching! Both of your lights are excellent choices!
I've had olights for many years great flashlight 's. I have some of the original i1eos, i2eos and i3eos but my favourite of all is the first S2 Baton.
Nice!! They’ve had some great ones. One of, it not my all time favorite, is the S1A.
@@GearedTowardGear1 Great all round flashlight can always find AA Batteries.
Olight fan here, Just picked up the R50 Pro LE on sale on the Ebay store right now for $111.00 down from $160!
Right on, Andy!! Nice score!
Smart kids.
Jon Duncan - you’re raising them right!
Lmfao had to hit like and subscribe after watching your son’s flashlight bit👍🍺
Chato lol same
Liked the video as soon as I saw it. I'd EDC that at work.
That is an impressive collection of Olights and good tip on saving some cash! Thanks for sharing brother!
Thanks for watching. I’m all about saving money where I can. Then there’s more left for knives, lol.
@@GearedTowardGear1 I hear that!!
I only have the M2R, M2T, S1BATON TURBO & H2R.
Man, those are all great choices!
nice collection. I have the s1a, H1r, H2 r, s1 titianium, s mini brass, S1r, s2 copper and M7R Marauder in my collection.
Lets not forget the I1R EOS ... one of the coolest, and smallest keychain flashlights. Very handy even if you are not a flashoholic.
Awesome video! What is that mat with gridlines called? I've seen a few on RUclips videos but don't know what they're for.
It’s a “cutting mat”, I think mainly used as a work surface for arts & crafts.
That’s fantastic!
Love it brother!!! glad to see you on SALE days.. chat soon and great collection!!!!
That is by far the BEST news I ever heard. Thank you very much appreciate it.
You are very welcome!! Thanks for watching!
That’s great to hear. Thanks for sharing that story Donald. And thanks for watching!
Vtech flash light is the light I’m looking for! Thanks for the wonderful review!!
It’s an Awesome product Mate! Thanks very much for the tips too. Very much appreciate it.
You are very welcome. Thanks so much for watching! Cheers!!
Geared Toward Gear anything is better than nothing
That's what I carry too lol
Great review ....convinced me to invest in two of them as a starting point...thanks for posting!
And you, sir, got yourself a like solely due to your Vtech intro. Actually LOLd when I saw it. Well done. And yes, I am also an Olight fanatic as well 👍
Haha. Right on man, that’s awesome! Thanks for watching! All the best!
Right on! I’m glad you found a brand you love and it sounds like you have an awesome collection of Olights! Thanks for watching!
Great Review. Thanks for the tip about Olight ebay store. Just paid $72 for the M2r Pro warrior light listed at $109!
Awesome!!! Thanks for watching John!
I just got a s1r baton 2 and a i5teos for 28 even for Black Friday
As was stated, sign up for the emails. Flash deals and bundles. Often in limited edition colors. Picked up the tan and od green versions of the warrior x a few months ago. Have the gunmetal gray and desert camo due in any day.
I have 3 Olights and very pleased with them, battery on one of them went bad and when I reached out to Olight to see what the issue was they helped me troubleshot it and sent me a replacement battery within few days. Excellent product and customer service. For the price comparing to other high end flash lights you can beat Olight. Definitely recommend Olight!
Right on!!
Great video! I love them and I carry the S1A baton every day.
Awesome! I love the S1A so much. Thanks for watching Aaron!
Been using the s2a daily at work for about 2 years now I'm guessing if not longer. Used and abused daily it keeps going. I have a ton of their products now.
That’s awesome man! I think the S2A was so underrated! Such a great light. Thanks for watching!!
Couple of times a day? Wow. You can set it to alert you for price drops in Amazon.
Great video I agree with all of your points. And thank you for the tips on getting them for less than retail.
Thank you thank you for this video! I was about to drop 70 bucks on the s2r ii, but checked amazon after watching this and got one for about 48 bucks. It was called the deal of the day or something like that.
That’s awesome, I’m glad to hear that.
I have the sr1 and it's great, but the external switch is quite small and stiff? I have some nerve damage in my fingers and cannot find the switch in pitch dark!
Like Olight
bbbut hate this charging connector mechanism
at the tail of the light
it never stop to fail
and by so fails the flashlight
[when dust dirt or whatever gets in between those moving parts]
Wish the S1A baton or I3T eos came in a rechargeable model. love the size for pocket edc.
That would be nice wouldn’t it! I wish they never discontinued it. Of course now they have the I5T which is a good size, but not rechargeable.
@@GearedTowardGear1
What model did they discontinue?

Nice! Thanks for watching. Their flash sales are pretty legit.

Just got a m2r pro warrior
Nice!!!
I would love one of those small ones on the end as a EDC. I wouldn't like to say how much money I have lost on flashlights over my life and the main problem is faulty switches.A mate of mine who is a mechanic is also looking for a reliable light as a EDC , Work light.Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Well I had no idea. But now that I have seen your review on that monster vtech light, I gotta get one and be tacticool as well!
I’m telling you, Kurt - all the cool kids have them. You don’t want to get made fun of on the playground do you? Lol. Thanks so much for watching, Kurt. All the best 👊
I totally subbed after that kid flashlight debut. #DadLife
Haha, thanks so much for watching! I’m loving the #DadLife so hard right now, lol. And I have another on the way! Thanks for subbing, I’m honored to have you join the channel! All the best.
I have 1. You have to charge them allll day and they get hot fast although they are super bright
It depends on the light and battery size/capacity. I just keep a magnetic charging cable on my bedside and charge it overnight like I do my cell phone so it’s always fully charged. To speed things up though I’ll take the batteries out and charge them on a battery charging bank if I need to charge a few at once.
Dang man….after all these years, still taking me to school! Searching their eBay store now
I like these as well , I carry i3T eos in copper daily , S1R baton , and a i3E eos on my truck keys ..... S2R 2 is next on my list.... I love the mag charger cord !
Nice!! All great lights you just named.
Lol, great minds think alike I guess!
Nice collection bro I have olight m2r warrior and the next Target is the Warrior X....
Right on man! The Warrior X is a great light!
Rock on, man! Those are all great lights! That’s a bummer you lost your tan i3E man, I wish I still had mine I’d give it to you.
@@GearedTowardGear1 found one on eBay but double the price found a few more also LOL Thanks Sean have a great week
The vtec is a must buy tbh
It is isn’t it? Probably the best light I own, lol. Thanks so much for watching. All the best!
Does Olight have unit that takes simple AA cells?
They don’t actually. Not currently. They used to have the S1A and S2A (you can still find them on eBay brand new for decent prices). I have both of them - good lights.
They do have at least 2 flashlights that run off a single AAA, if you're willing to go to a smaller alkaline. They are the I3E EOS (twist head design with single 90 lumen setting), and the I3T EOS. The latter has 2 modes operated by tail switch, giving you either a 5 lumen "moonlight" mode, or a solid 180 lumen high setting. That tail switch also has a momentary feature.
P.S. There is now a 3rd option, albeit it an unlikely choice for EDC, since the recent release of the ultraviolet version of the I3 EOS.
Getting a seeker 2 on the 29th and a baton 2 on Sept 2. Can't wait. I may get 2 of each and sell the extra to even save more.
Right on! I got a couple Seeker 2 Pro’s last time they had a sale and sold them both. I’m not sure if I’m going to get the blue Seeker 2, but I’m definitely going to get the S1R II in desert tan!
@@GearedTowardGear1 well if the blue wasn't a limited edition I'd just get the black. But yes definitely getting a few of the batons
Just purchased the s2r 2 in Le green . Not quite the same shade of green as my pm 2 scales . It was a toss up of that and a nitecore model . Sadly I paid full price.. but I wanted the green one lol
Gonna love the olights 👍🏻💯 are you going to get the M2R PRO?
No, I don’t think so. They look cool, especially the camo version, but it’s not as practical for me. I prefer the older M2R being smaller, and being an 18650 that can also run on 2 CR123’s. I’m not as big of a fan of the 21700 powered lights. I think it’s a good deal if you get it during the flash sale for sure, I just probably won’t snag one this time.
@@GearedTowardGear1 sounds fair enough 👍🏻😎
You can bulk up on their flash sales then resale them on eBay. I got my baldr pro, M2R warrior and a few others for free this way.
Oh and the obulbs are incredibly useful for me. I love them lol. Oh, and their pry bar multi-tools are super nice as well.
I have the i3E EOS not shown here. Love it. Small powerful (90 Lumens) Simple on or off.
I’ve got a couple i3E’s - I like them a lot. I certainly appreciate their simplicity, definitely underrated for sure. 👊🏻🍻
My son has the same light, got a good laugh from that..
Haha. It’s a solid light for a 2 year old. Thanks for watching 🤙👊
I love Olight! I, too, have several (many) different models, and duplicates of many of them, mostly for gifting.
Awesome! Thanks so much for watching!
If you play this video at 2X it takes half the time and you don't miss a thing lol
That’s an awesome story, thanks for sharing!
Out of all of these, which would you recommend for a police officer to carry on duty every day?
Yeah I think that’s probably a fair statement.
How could one purchase an S1A flashlight?
I’ve been using a s15 Baton since 2013 and it’s been working great for me. I use it all the time at work and it’s also my edc.
of all your flashlight from olight, sofirn etc.. what is you favorite EDC flashlight?
Probably the Lumintop Tool AA 2.0, and the Olight S1R II.
I don't own any olights myself as I find their price quite high relative to imalent and thrunite. Nothing really interested me until the warrior pro. How much discount do you usually offer for on ebay?
It depends on which light you’re making an offer on, but if it was a Warrior X Pro and they’re asking $130, I’d offer $100.
Great video, i like Olight also, but yes they have allot of good deals, expecially when they release a new product.
For sure. The flash sales on new releases are fantastic. That’s how I got the Warrior X, a Seeker 2 Pro (after I filmed this) and countless other freebies. Thanks for watching!
@@GearedTowardGear1 Sweet, i do like the Seeker 2 Pro also, would change some things, but still good.
Agreed. Haven’t gotten around to reviewing it yet but I’m with you. I did watch your review though, good stuff as always. 👊
@@GearedTowardGear1 Will watch yours when you make one, mines is by my bed.lol..thanks for watching. I appreciate the support.
Thanks for watching Spike!! Man, I’d love an S2R II in desert tan!
I really like the blue one, I’ve got 3 for around the house and at work.. I like the ability to change out AA batteries on the spot if needed. Good SHTF light too. I pick them up for around $25 on eBay.
Yeah I think they’re really underrated lights.
I do NOT like olight at all.. but still good video:)
I will admit they are one of the best flashlights to recommend to someone who doesn’t like or know anything about flashlights. So is streamlight.
However anyone who’s interested in more customizable lights with higher quality output should not buy one.
Also proprietary batteries 😡👎🏻
Yeah, crappy UI, horrible tint and LED options, and expensive for what you get.
I'm trying to get the s2r baton 2 on Ebay what do you think the offer should be I think 45 bucks
I’d give it a shot, worst they can say is no. If so maybe bump your offer up to $55.
Only 60
I dislike how they constantly do limited edition releases. I was looking to buy a S2R baton 2 in copper, but I apperently missed it by a few months and the ebay ones are overpriced. I ended up going with a Fw3a lumintop in copper instead.
The FW3A is fantastic. I’m also not a fan of their constant limited edition models.
Since I got myself can i5t.. now getting others for family. Everyone should own one of these.. From $9 to $500 there's a light for everyone.
