Plus if power goes out for a long time it's nice to know that you'll have something that will run for a really long time even if it's not going to light up everything you can still get around the house and do things
I think the reason for getting rid of .5 lm mode might be because the Baton Pro boosts the battery voltage from 4 V to 12 V. Could be that the boost driver is not stable at low currents, so instead of designing a more complicated boost driver circuit, maybe they just decided to increase the moon lumens from .5 to 5 lm to keep it stable. The 12 V is needed by the high power XHP50.2 LED, so a boost driver is necessary. The S2R-II on the other hand uses a different LED, so it has a buck driver that lowers the voltage from 4 V to about 3 V. I guess buck driver works better with low currents, so they were able to include .5 lm mode to S2R-II.
So glad I watched this... I was about to call about my S1R II light "not charging".... turns out I had locked it out and forgot about that feature. DAMN OLIGHT.... I HAVE BILLS TO PAY. LOL
I know right!
Pay the Bill's and make do with the collection of olights you've probably already got. 😀This one really isn't much different. (Not trying to be cheeky.)
@@stevo1166 too late. That's what I needed to hear yesterday morning. Lol. But thanks for the reply
2000 lumen 😊👌
For how long?
Tyrone Walker Specs say 1 minute then it drops to 660lm.
I take it this is the replacement for the s30r
I was just going to ask why they didn't compare it to that. S30RIII is gold standard for a hard use edc/technician light.
@@lerch400block Yeah, I VERY MUCH PREFER the old style pocket clip - stronger more rugged, thicker, and better retention to the light body. More throw distance with reflector design.
Bring it back!
Should make a new Warrior mini 3 with switch same as Warrior 3s.
Please release finally a S2R baton 2 in titanium
Anyone have an extra baton pro in blue they'd sell me at a bro price? Missed the sale, sold out before I checked the site. I have like 30 olights... love the blue. Someone help me out? Please!
by 8:10 am all the blues are gone.. phew!?...just saved me $70 bucks......... wait , who am I kidding, did you see that beam? the $9.00 L- dock, 2000 lumens.... Damn it!
This looks to be a great light! Got ti see it in person today, thanks Olight!!! #Olightrocks
Mine should be here Saturday, that will probably be my next video!
Sorry olight but your now just releasing slightly tweaked versions of older lights but now at significantly higher price tags. This is clearly a successor to the s30riii but now alot more expensive. Javelot pro, a m3xs but twice the price for another example. (Brighter but doesn't throw much further) How about a nice slim quality aa light for the average person at a sensible price. After all, you keep saying you want to put an olight in everybody's hands. Something to compete with the eagletac d25a. Thanks.
Stephen O'shea - now that I have a Pro, a bit disappointed. Mostly a “flood” pattern, OK for some usage, but would MUCH rather a real S30R upgrade with “Warrior X” style beam! (Lots of throw with good spill)
Dammit I'm short on money and Wednesday is payday. 😭
Talk a friend in to adding it to their order, and keeping the extra-free flashlight,..then pay him in a few days.
I picked up this bad boy on EBay Nov/1/21 fo 52.95 Holla!
Gotta love Olight !!!
There was no mention of the type of led being used in your lights.
I'm interested , so I looked at the specs on your website, and no mention of the type of led used there either. Am I missing it? I also looked for a way to contact Olight so I could ask. No contact number or email given on your website. What led is used in your baton pro? Thanks!
Yes, I can find no mention of this magic led. Maybe it's a boost driver to an xhp50.2?
Kinda weird how he was shitting on the S2R Baton II at the end when it's an Olight product that they still sell. 😄
That blue tho :)
I know right
Olight Rocks!!!!
GOT ONE, LOVE IT!!!!!
Blue is cool, but I want more copper
This or a Perin , is the 2nd type light-flashlight, ya are going to need; use often,..and wonder how ya survived without for so long..*(though they should market it that way,..., you are going to need another flashlight for half,..or 20% of your needs.
In one year I have bought the s30riii, s2rii m2t today my blue seeker 2 arrived and now I want this. My wife is going to flip
What do you care? She's probably out buying shoes at the mall..lol
Their checkout needs a major upgrade, I am not a PayPal fan, just sits and spins.
Is the magnetic charger fixed that has been causing fires?
I'll be getting one of each 😁
Just release a super light. We don't.want to buy a damn light every week.
I missed the sale, I forgot about it and ya boy don't get paid til Friday and yell had this sale on a Tuesday . . . 😑
Ooooo 🤩
My girlfriend calls me olight because I have so many different olights! I'm already sold on another blue olight.
I passed on this 600 lumen light …. oh yea it has a 2000 lumen lick for 1 min? OLIGHT missed the mark here. I own 6 OLIGHTS and the baton PRO is a waste of time. 2k, 600,120,5 OLIGHT WTH?
Same here. My other o-lights are more than enough. Not interested in this one.
Right when I think I have enough olights ... 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
u really need to start offer neutral tint options.. cool white is ok but geez thats 99% of your lights already....
Sweet! 👍
The blue one is SOLD OUT!!!??? 😭
The blue Seeker 2 sold out very quick as well
