I know this is in the past, but you are right on time for this newbie! Looking forward to watching more of your content as I take care of my baby locs 🥰.
This is how my hair looked in November. I was 8 weeks in, and then it was time to wash them, and I chickened out, and combed them out. I do wonder what it would have looked like by now if I had left them alone. That was my second attempt at them. The first time was during the summer. Now I’m thinking about taking the plunge again, and at the very least, I’m about to help my daughter start her’s. Wish us luck…and your hair is beautiful here and in the updated videos.
2:31 the irony! It’s Nov 14th and I just got my starter locs done this morning. I’ve been searching videos about maintenance and yours popped up as I was deep into scrolling!! I love your hair by the way😍
This is just confirmation that I'm on the right path...cuz December 27th is my birthdayyy that's what's up!! Also, I have 2 strand twists so this is even more EPIC!
This is a great question. In the 1.5- two weeks after a fresh re-twists, I wear a shower cap because I want my re-twists to last as long as possible. After those two weeks, I don’t wear a shower cap and let the steam and moisture get to my hair
I have 76 I was trying to find someone with a similar amount and similar size it looks a little thin to me right now but I know they thicken up 2-3 sizes bigger.
I find your video very informative and I d like to thank you for that. Me ans my lil girl just start our loc journey yesterday and I loced them myself at home two stand twist style. I was unawra that we have to mosturise and oil them everyday. Does it not prevent them from locking sorry if this question sounds dumb to some but I am new at everything locs. Thanks in advance ❤️.
Thank you! Congrats on your and your baby girl for starting your locs! Since this vid, I have actually switched up my loc routine a LOT based upon what works for me now. I used to oil my scalp once a week, spray my locs with water every day and oil the length of my locs as needed. Now, I simply moisturize as needed, probably every 3 or 4 days with a spray.
Hey! I just twisted my hair two days ago, should I moisturize them still or should I wait until like a month so they actually are a little locked together?
I think spraying them with water is one of the best things you could do, both now when you’re just starting, and later on. Water, in my opinion, is the best moisturizer

Can I spray water on my locs everyday? Or only when needed?
I just started 4 days ago with twist 🥰

Congrats on starting! And yes you can definitely spray your locs daily.

I just got my starter locks two days ago. Should I mist it
If they feel dry
What products did you use to moisturize your locs (water and ?)? How much of each?
Thank you
Hi, I don't use this method anymore as Im more mature in my loc journey currently. I use aloe vera juice mixed with essential oils
Thank you🙏! I will be making that today.
