I'm 17 months into my loc journey and I constantly binge watche RUclips videos on locs and other locs journeys .... This video has been one of the most helpful videos ive seen since I've started, especially since I've struggled with really dry locs...thanks man, I'm now going to create my own morning and night routines.
sounds exactly like me! 😆 on 11/17 I'll finally be 1 yr loc'd! No rush, but I can't wait to see 2 yrs and so on! 💛 Blessings to us all on our journeys!
Hey tp locs, your so right I don't have time to get to it every day, I work 12 hr shifts so I be in zombie zone, I'm 15 months now into my loc journey, and the more I haven't been retwisiting the longer it's getting but I do moisturizer my hair and add oil to my locs. I haven't been styling to much at all these days but got alot of fly ass head wraps, lol Especially now that it's getting colder outside. Miss to many videos but I do go back and check em all out ,your so awesome for all of us with locs ,dreads and learning, It got me threw and continues too, keep em coming brotha, until next time...
Just hit my 2 year mark last Tuesday and I’m still trying to find the right routine and products that work for me. Working 13 hour days, plus being a wife and mother definitely makes it hard to find the time. Will definitely have to check House of Isis products out. Looks like some good stuff!
Can we talk about how amazing your complexion and you have the most beautiful white teeth. I'm on my 8 month loc journey. My hair grows slow but patience is a virtue. Thanks for sharing your video. Much blessings
Hey TP and Family hope y'all are staying blessed . I always appreciate the honesty bcuz I don't have no solid routines. I'm happy I'm not the only one ...thank you for the information provided like always. Your videos have been with me throughout this journey and help me reach my one year loc anniversary. 💖
Very helpful, just had my 8th week Loc done, my hair is not look rough So right now I go every 7 weeks. I have the braided locs, just starting but I am enjoying it
I have a satin laced beanie that I wear all the time it’s great since I like sitting out in the morning watching the fog build up. Love the Vids And love the TP fam
Thank you for this video TP 🔥 you inspired me to get up and moisturize my hair since I’ve gotten lazy with a bone dry scalp and having done my morning routine in a week 😅
Haven't been doing it net, but now that it's starting to cool down I thought about starting a nighttime routine. My hair seems to dry out more after my first wash after a retwist. I notice I need more moisture after. Sometimes I think I'm doing to much you showed me a little will do.
I'm realizing the dryer the hair the faster it loccs up I'm only using my oils wen my scalp starts acting up but I did the instant loc method from two strand twist if anything I'll use it to just make my head not stink aha
Dry hair will definitely lock quick you just have to be careful overtime. Dry hair can be more brittle and easier to break off. But it sounds like you it ✊🏾
I have yet to try rose water 🥴🥴 this is my second set of dreads & I've been wanting to try it since the first set.... I just haven't 🤣 I'll get it eventually
@@ELZZEYE there are a lot of brands but very few of them are all natural. I use the same one TP does and it only has 2 ingredients. Purified water and rose petals. Stay away from the ones that have more than that. The stuff is really amazing though I buy in bulk and you can use it for your face as well. Edit: The brand is Heritage Store
@@mr.bellefleur it’s hard man! I try to get to as many as I can but I’d be in dms all day! With my kids I just can’t do it. 😅 im way better with my comment section! Wish they’d allow pics
I know this is an older video but I’m about to get my 4th retwist since being locd. Am I the only one who puts absolutely nothing in my hair except water and oil? I use water every single day in the morning and I oil every 2-3 days. I don’t use anything else and when I wash I’m only using shampoo
Nah that was a pretty popular method back even when I had locs fam! Some great sets I’d see just keeping it simple with those two things! My scalp and hair conditions always made things a bit more tricky for me.
Wuddup bruh!! That was really dope! Especially for my mom to see the impact the channel has. I appreciate you for saying something bruh. Honestly! Super grateful for your support!
I know this may be random to the topic but is safe to use small rubber bands in your dreads if not is there any alternative ways you can style your dreads
Small rubber bands are pretty terrible for your hair! Actually can thin them out over time. I use them because as of yet I haven’t found any other way to do my styles without em! I mitigate the damage by reducing how I often I do styles.
It all depends on your hair porosity and hair type honestly. For me with high porosity hair I neeeeeed some type of conditioner for my hair and oils for my scalp.
Currently 2 months into my journey, actually 3 now I need to get a retwist. Do we send pictures to your Instagram if we wanna show you? What do you recommend for moisturizing starter locs?
I do a live loc review as well. That would be the best time place to submit. The dms are just too difficult to manage right now with work and kids. I hope I can do this full time one day but as of now I gotta focus on the job most of the time.
props to the ppl who still moisturize n hydrate their locs
I love TP locks always keeping it real. I dont like people making me feel like im too lazy or stuff like that... we got other things to do
Who cares what they think about YOUR hair??? Don’t pay negative ppl any attention. You’re beautiful and loved!!

Making sure your hair is dry after a wash will stop any smells. It's the damp hair that causes the smell.

What can I do to keep my loc and scalp from being dry. Even during the day it seem like my hair sucks the oil n it’s dry all over again

Man my scalp is hella dry too. I hate to constantly apply oil bc of buildup, but I guess I should

Are you ever going to grow the bottom half of your locs since your high tops are at your shoulders

I like the barrel locs style. Do you have a video that explains that style? It's very popular but what length do you need etc...

yes, but water is important. keep your hair moisturized.

Would you recommend getting barrel rolls with fresh baby starters?
If it were my journey I’d wait but it won’t destroy your locs if you’re not styling too tight or too often!
Thanks for the input my guy . I guess my biggest concern is the coils unraveling whenever I start and/or trying to minimize the inevitable frizz
Hey TP, I just started my starter locs is it good to not put anything in your hair or should I put wild grow or some type of oil in it thanks
