How is it going .. ? I’m one month in. And my two strands keep unraveling 😢I’m embracing the journey. Also I’m starting a new job and I’m nervous about wearing my natural hair..
officially 4 months locd and i’m noticing how much my hair has changed. my hair is starting to have a mind of it’s own and i’m having a lot of fun. it’s freeing actually
I am nine months in my loc journey. There has been a lot of trials and error, but I’ve also learned a lot about my hair and what it needs. I started with my hair sectioned and a boxed neatly but it’s semi free form now less stressful on my scalp and me. My advice if I may is that you should learn to do your own hair because going to a Loctician can get pricey. And there is so much beauty in doing it yourself.
I’m 3 days into my starter locs. I really can’t wait to see how it looks. I always wanted locs but didn’t want to start with the short phrase. But I’m ready now.
Started my loc journey 3 days ago and I’m excited!! I’ve always been curious about locking my hair so I’m looking forward to see what my hair’s gonna do.
I'm coming up on 4 weeks into my loc journey. I did a lot of research before i decided to two strand twist my loose hair and I'm still gathering as much information as I can. As a loose natural I tried all the styles and began to gravitate towards marley twists and faux locs only and thought I should just loc my hair. So I did lol for many reasons too but mainly I was over manipulating my hair and just wanted to let it do what it wanted to do. Best decision. And your locs are absolutely gorgeous and so are you! 💕
I’m 3 months in my starter loc phase and you’re absolutely right the hair is gonna do what it wants I’ve had to stop doing as many styles and manipulation and I see better results from growth💯
I’m just a few days short of 4 months into my loc journey and I’m so proud of how far they’ve come already! It’s so interesting how unique locs are because I feel like mine are developing weirdly fast compared to a lot of other people I’ve seen. I’m semi-freeform so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it but they’re pretty stiff and solid about 3/4 of the way down and still frizzy two-strand twists toward the end. They’re also not very heavy yet (there’s one random one in the back that’s speedrunning that’s actually heavy but everything else is getting that loc shape and texture 3/4 down but still lightweight). I’ve also already seen a good bit of length retention in such a short period of time. I have about a full inch worth of extra length that’s visible, but I can tell they’re shrunken because they haven’t dropped and I lost a hair the other day that was much longer than my locs when I stretched it out. Looking through these comments made my realize I style them too much though because my actual loc starts about a half inch from my root, time to commit to wraps and stop styling so much! Thanks for making loc content, it really helps to encourage me on my journey and help me learn new things! I’ve been a loose natural my whole life and I’m only the second person in my whole family who’s ever locked their hair so I’m going off of RUclips and intuition.
I’m in my 5th month and I’m loving and learning so much about my hair. It is so much like taking care of my plants. Thank you and love your videos. Happy loc journey everyone!❤
Thank you for the tip about not retwisting your hair while dry. I’m still learning almost 2 months in on my loc journey. I love how you refer your hair as a plant that’s so true 😊
Thanks for the tips! I’m 5 months in my journey but my mistake was getting retwists with styles every month because that’s what my stylist told me to do up until the 6 month mark. I’m noticing soooo much space from my root to where my actual loc is and I honestly could have avoided that if I didn’t get so many styles, but it’s okay because I’m going months without a retwist!!!
@@WOLF-wu2rc its okay, i used it when first starting my locs and its not like i messed them up forever, but its good to know that the gel is not the best
