I like how you seem to be a genuine human with a great heart and outlook on life. Good to see you back. It’s not an easy place however….im going to keep going and keep being me and just see where it takes me. I’m pretty sure the video you spoke on is also the video I subscribed to. I only just realized we had a community page a couple weeks ago and I’ve been on here just over a year.

I fully understand your feeling of burnout as its often when the results you are getting are up for external validation (views) - I think that as long as the motivation comes from inside (I want to make nice videos or I want to challenge myself to see if something is possible) - its easier to sustain, even with ideas that sound impossible at first...

I started watching because you had a Meteor 350, as I do too here in the UK. But you seem to be heading towards being a lifestyle channel, which is great. NZ is beautiful, so it'll be great to learn more about it. I did visit for a short 2 weeks back in the early 90s and loved it, especially the friendly people. Good luck with whatever direction you head in. Your personality will see you through 👍

This i needed to hear Ben... i have been struggling with my RUclips journey for few weeks now and the videos about views and tactics just overwhelmed me.. i stopped watching. few days now decided to quiet my mind and listen to my gut.. exactly what you say.. building community!! ✨ give value to people, make them feel comfortable watching and appreciate every single person. in this mad paced world we as individuals seem to matter less and less... everyone wants to feel they are important, to belong.. many channels now don't care about the average person. all what's important is sales.. maybe the mindset is so different at that stage ?... i have been rejected by people, from communities my entire life.. let people know you care Ben. you never know who is watching and you could change someone's life forever 🙌🏻✨✨🩷

I haven't filmed outside of my own home/land and maybe we could do an Introverts Film In Public Day - where we all try to go out in the world and post those videos.I think that is a genuine hurdle for content creators just starting out! There's so many people that want to start a RUclips channel that are looking for anything that positively reinforces their idea of starting a channel. Your previous videos title did exactly that. It positively reinforced the idea of someone starting a channel while also negating the need for a massive amount of subscribers! It made a lot of people click (including me), and was delighted to see someone so authentic, genuine and relatable.

Hi Ben, I just started a small RUclips channel aswell and I can totally relate when it comes to putting pressure on yourself. I think concentrating on the community more than on the subscriber count is really the way to go because it gives you joy instead of feeling upset that you don't have a certain subscriber count yet. I love your content and your personality. Keep going. You are doing an amazing job. 🥰

Thanks Ben, I can definitely relate to the feeling of being too hard on yourself. I have to slow down and I have been doing that. I'm a small channel in an oversaturated niche. I have not found my audience yet but I believe in the power of community. I really like where you're going with this. What I would like to see is how to make do with what you got and how to use them to the best of their capabilities. My retention goes way down too quickly when I slow down & my channel loses momentum. I'm so glad you're back and focused. Your studio looks great and I'm happy your children got a bigger bedroom!
