Omg… YES WOMAN. I started probably 10 times lol, or at least tried to start 😅 now I am DONE postponing. Already uploaded a new meditation and just recorded a breathwork practice. You'll never know what video is going to change it for you. Keep going, you'll get there, you just have to keep at it. Good luck!
I've been posting about 5 weeks now on an old channel I never used. The first 100 subs was the hardest, and took almost a month. Now I'm getting more subs. I went 4 days straight since Thursday with hardly anything, and I thought my channel was done. Then I got 118 subs today, and am sitting at 461 subs, with over 80,000 views, all in the last 5 weeks. I've been posting shorts almost every day, and I feel one day soon it will explode. I've seen it happen to others, and am trying to follow their script. Stay tuned. Nice VID, AC. I'm your 499th subscriber. You know what? I have another channel I will use to get you to the 500 mark, and make you eligible for RUclipss new partner program. Keep the faith.❤❤❤
This is a really interesting talking point. I started my channel to deal with the sad state of my life at the moment. Depression with no real prospects of succeeding. Literally hit rock bottom. RUclips has given me a glimmer of hope not by making money but just posting about my day to day life. Almost like journaling and has helped take my mind off the sad things. You’ve earned a sub.
I appreciate your comment and your vulnerability. And I agree with the journaling part and youtube. Kinda like the method to teach something to others to learn something yourself better.
I similarly always had the idea of starting a RUclips channel. The topic of the videos evolved as I grew up, but the idea of RUclips remained there. Still I find the resistance, but I found value in just doing a "30 day challenge" talking to the camera for 5 minutes a day during this month. I'm only 5-days in but my fear and awkwardness when talking to the camera has changed from the first day. Always great to hear how it impacted other people. Best of luck in your channel :)
I appreciate your words, thank you! I'm still not 100% comfortable talking in front of a camera but I noticed that it's easier to me to talk to my front camera than my back camera. It's those small things that help you get more comfortable with the uncomfortable. Keep it up!
We’re a small channel started by my wife and me, and we’re incredibly thankful for our 29 subscribers who support our dream. Though the slow growth can be challenging at times, we stay optimistic and are committed to putting in more effort to bring you great content. To all new creators -Never give up team
Thank you for sharing your story!! I feel like I’m still in my beginning stage. Very thankful to have made the 1k milestone but I remember having my first 100 subscribers. Keep it up!! It’s paying off for sure
I'm glad to hear about your process. It has also taken me years to finally get my channel off the ground with all the fears of "what will people think". I have to say, I'm glad I took the leap and did it scared. Thus far, like you said, it has been a great showcase, if only to myself, of what I am capable of. Keep it up!
Thank you for sharing! The fear in our head is usually bigger than how it is to actually put yourself out there. It's natural that feedback of others matter to us but one big thing I learned is that people that hate or criticize you for starting a youtube or struggling for trying something are usually always people that do not put themselves out there. I'm grateful that the youtube community is very supportive and I appreciate your comment!! :)
I’ve had so much success on TikTok in a year (35k followers & making thousands per month from views alone) but when I repost my viral content to shorts it typically doesn’t get more than a couple thousand views. I think this was the push I needed to really get going with long form content. Keep up the good work!! I can really see this channel going BIG. 😊
Thank you for sharing and your kind words! I also noticed the algorithms being different on each platform but I’d say RUclips is a slower growth than TikTok but if we keep posting we’ll get the ball rolling sooner or later. 🫶🏽
I had finally gotten used to hearing my voice when I edit my videos. It took a year of my just hearing my voice on repeat while editing hours and hours of videos. And even watching the final product too. I used to cringe at my voice. Now, I'm fine hearing my voice. It's almost as if someone else is speaking and not me lol. And in terms of uploading videos and not being monetized... I'm doing it for me first and foremost. To help me learn new skills. To build a portfolio. But to also help others like me (my niche is Autism). I haven't been doing RUclips for long, started 6 months ago. But, I'm enjoying the process. And I enjoy helping others as well.
I started 6 years ago this year and I thought I was really late into it, but there are so many channels started years after me that have grown really big. Content is everything, and everyone should just upload their first video and don't wait.
Totally agree!! I waited so long before I finally uploaded my first video because I was waiting for the right moment, set up etc. but looking back, I wish I just picked up my camera and got started!
I just started my own digital diary aka my youtube channel 3 weeks ago. People already started noticing it. I'm already making new connections with people and feeling the positive sides of becoming a creator. Can't wait to see what else the future will bring on🥰 Let's keep creating!🙌

Thanks for the encouragement! Starting a RUclips channel may seem daunting, especially when you’re not monetized yet. But for us, it’s more than just numbers or income-it’s about capturing precious family moments. We’re a family of three with 97 subscribers, and our channel lets us document our journey as we grow together. The memories we create and share, from simple bonding moments to milestone experiences, are priceless. Whether or not monetization comes, we’re grateful for this platform to look back on the love and laughter that fill our lives. And for those of you following along, thank you for being part of our journey!
Glad your video reached me in Brazil. From the tone to the edit, your content is very well crafted. Simple, but not simplist. Thanks for the motivation injection. Take my subscription and honest wish on your deserved growing
Very inspiring video, so many truths here. Thank you so much! I have a ton of subscribers and views and yet i am not monetised, im far from being monetised but the trade is absolutely undeniable and far more valuable to me. I have a full time job that pays me well and only post 2 videos per month because i love sharing my experiences with people. I have been told a video with 1k views gets a RUclipsr around 10-20 dollars if that and that doesn’t cover the hours and hrs of editing and filming. As a very introverted man i find YT has been such a blessing in my life. Anyone reading this and feeling lonely or shy, should definitely try to have a channel! It has really changed my life.
Thank you for sharing your story!! And yes it was a game changer for me as well. Especially talking in front of a camera :D Still getting used to it but I'm so glad I started, I already learned so much and the connections and conversation about topics that I couldn't have with my friends is really motivating.
Thanks for the encouragement. I started posting RUclips videos during the pandemic. I am a pastor, and had to do worship services from home for my church. These days I have been sharing music covers, because I am also a singer and guitarist, I am thinking about starting to share videos to tie faith with music. I am at about 50 subscribers so far. I am thankful to be in a community with people like you, so we can encourage one another. Keep up the good work, my friend!
Thank you! It's so important to have fun or else you won't continue being consistent because it takes a while to be seen, but I believe in you. Keep it up!!!
Your earrings are so cute 🦋 "done is better than perfect because perfect is never done." - idk who said this, but it's hits. I love your authenticity, imma sub cuz I'm excited to see where your channel goes. 💜 Personally the more seriously I took making videos the less I enjoyed it. As a creator in my ghost era, the best advice I can give is not to worry about niching down, share your personality and make what you love, cuz it's all about the process not any external measure of progress.
Thank you 🫶🏽 I feel like working with a little bit of pressure works well but I agree by putting up expectations that are too high like certain follower counts its taking the joy out of creating or you loose motivation. I'm also trying to focus more on the process and journey than the outcome of each video. Thank you for your message and I love that quote :)
Thank you so much, i love this video❤ The way you are sooo real about we gonna look awkward and the success people don’t fit in at all, it motivated me a lot to give myself a try even though i don’t know if i have a thing for it! Again i love you for this❤
It's so far been very rewarding for me and I just started my channel a couple of weeks ago. Just seeing the few likes and subscriptions I'm getting is so exciting. I'm excited to watch my channel grow. It's worth it. Like you said, you don't have to be perfect, just keep making content. And yes, I'm gaining confidence which is very nice for me as an introvert.
Thank you for sharing your story! I love to see others experiencing the same and gaining more confidence, being able to talk in front of a camera is def out of the comfort zone and holds a lot of growth potential, keep it up!!
I 💜 this message and you're very Inspirational, so Thanks so much for Sharing!!!!🤗 I don't even pay attention so much to the #s, but what I can do to educate and the Value I can provide to my community/tribe. I Appreciate your Authenticity & Honesty... have a Blessed day!💜 Cam
Thank you so much for your comment!! Exactly the biggest value is the community, being able to connect and talk about things that we care about or being able to help others. :) Keep it up!
Thank you for sharing your inspiring journey and insights into starting a RUclips channel! Your enthusiasm is contagious, and your success is truly motivating.
I've finally decided to start my RUclips channel. although I've posted shorts in the past, I've decided to give it my all with long form. Let's see how it goes.
2:38 is perfectly stated 👌. When we can courageously show up with our quirks and vulnerabilities, that’s when we’re inviting others to connect with is and we become the most magnetic and powerful 👏👏👏. Keep up the good work, I just started my channel 2 weeks ago documenting my adventure from the beginning- I’m excited to see where this takes me- and you! 💖
Good video. I just posted my first edited video to my channel a few days ago. Not really intending to start a channel but more just trying to put out information that I couldn't find when I was looking for it myself. Hoping to give back a bit because I've learned a lot from others who have shared over the years. I've actually got another video that I recorded a while ago and never got posted that I'm now feeling a renewed desire to finish editing and get it out there, because maybe it could help someone too. Keep it up.
Yes! Go for it, I think the biggest reward in life is being able to give back, whether that is through volunteering, helping a friend out or helping with the videos we upload. Thank you for your comment
Yes, that is true. I started 2 months ago and have around 20 subscribers now but doing videos has allowed me to challenge myself and overtime the issues & fear I had with recording my voice (voice-overs. Talking head videos are the next step/stage :D). As I progress, I grow and do things better and better and faster (editing, recording, speaking more clearly etc etc). I also noticed it increased my confidence! Yes, the same way as you describe it :) For me it was the same, I was surprised how much colleagues are supportive and asking when the next video is going to be :D
I've had my channel since 2012 but I've only really started grinding on since March this year. Its slowly growing now but I just need to be more patient when it comes to views and perfecting my craft. From 2012 till March this year I had 12 subs for many years. I really cant say that now! After really putting my head down and grinding pretty hard I've gained way more than I thought I would have. It just takes a lot of work and dedication and patience.
My thought pattern is exactly the same as yours. I built another channel (Swahili SpicE) to 20k subs but in a niche that I really don't enjoy. Decided to start from scratch with this one. It's panful but currently at 6 subs 😢. Working on banking at least 30 videos on this channel before I start sharing with friends and family and on my personal social media platforms. I remember when I started doing that with my other channel, it kicked off the growth. Well done for sticking to it and encouraging the rest of us. It isn't easy, that much I know.
Thank you for sharing your story! I think it’s so important to do what you feel most passionate about even if that means trying to post in a niche that feels over saturated and hard to make it. I only told very few people about having a yt account bc it makes me feel less awkward thinking people that know me from work or something would judge me. It’s so easy to start comparing yourself to other accounts but it’s important to only focus on your account and growth. Some people go viral after just posting a couple videos, but there’s always a bigger story behind everything. (Some people create multiple accounts until one style or niche works) Motivating to see you start over regardless of already having 20k!! I respect you for taking that risk and being a role model!! It’s going to be worth it ❤️
Many thanks for the confidence and support you're providing us with this video. I wish your community to grow and let the creating process become more enjoyable!
Awesome video! I also feel the same way. I just started a study with me channel and am enjoying the process so far but it does feel like an uphill climb to reach more subscribers. Good luck to you!
Yess!!! It really helps to ignore any kind of self doubt, that naturally comes along the way. It’s like training for a marathon, there are good and bad days but it’s about showing up consistently, regardless if you see progress or not. It will always pay off!! Keep it up :)
Needed this daily motivation! Just startet my channel. I’ve put a lot of effort in the first 2 videos bc I want them to be aesthetic. But then in the beginning they get less then hundred views. But of course you can’t expect to find your audience right away. And by the way congrats for you hitting 1000 subs 🎉
I finally posted my first video and i'm far from content with it and see so many things to improve but if you're reading this then this is a sign to just get that first video out! it's not about perfection at the start, just try to improve every video 1% from the last one
I hope this doesn't sound rude (genuinely not trying to be) but please look at the camera lens directly. It really will help you, I'm sure! Best wishes
Itsmaaikeelevate right! Also because I don’t look myself in the eyes when I edit 😂 I just pay attention to what I want to cut out/b rolls. But now I know for the future
Great message! Investing into your skills is such a huge thing and it takes guts to put yourself out there (that is also a skill). I posted today my first RUclips video :)
Awesome job at inspiring others to share their gifts and talents with the world! RUclips is a great way to document your thinking at a certain point in life, leave a social legacy to family and friends, and you can definitely make a lot of money and help a lot of people in the process. I have a feeling, your video is going to be responsible for someone starting, getting millions of views, and contributing much of their success, to you! Keep up the great work...👍
Thank you! I appreciate what you said. Being able to create and helping to motivate others makes me happy, I'm glad I made that step and I'm happy if it gets on the right peoples feed :) Have a good day!
Might I suggest that you look into the camera, rather than what I presume is the monitor showing you. A super simple thing, but makes all the difference.
Good video. You are correct - too many people go into this trying to become the next Mr Beast, Trisha Paytas, or other major RUclips “stars” overnight. What they don’t realize is these “stars” didn’t become successful overnight - many of them were on RUclips for YEARS before getting big. A number of these successful RUclips stars have other streams of income, including: products, services, a job, or a well-off spouse or parent. Having a small subscriber count gives you room to make mistakes and figure out what works and what doesn’t, as well as what you like to do. As you said, it helps you build your job portfolio by giving you additional skills, including public speaking, which is a HIGH RANKING skill in the job market. For example, Jeffree Starr started his RUclips career posting videos of he and his friends prank-calling businesses before he got into make-up tutorials and became a major celebrity MUA.
I wanted too start for so long. But I do not know with what to start, I got very different topics I want to talk about and I do not know if I should do it on one channel?
Maybe you can find a way to combine different topics? I also didn't want to pick a niche because I'm interested in multiple things but I noticed that most of my interests are in the personal development niche "Living a healthier life, changing habits, changing your life, improving your finances" etc. I also like plants or concerts but I'm trying to have all my videos be around my main topic and that is personal development. In the beginning you can def try out different kinds of topics and see which one works best for you. I also love traveling and used it for a video to talk about personal growth going on solo trips. So I'm pretty sure you're also able to maybe connect multiple interests into one main topic.
I'm obeying the algorithm to help my soon future AI Karma if that's a thing, so you're over halfway there and I sorta helped by subscribing and babbling in comments maybe!?
RUclips is rigged. My friend is making clickbait and "reupload" content for abt 2 months and he alr make 100 USD yesterday. And he doesn't even put effort to make his original content 🤣🤣
The beginning is always hard and frustrating knowing you but a lot of work into something that seems to stay unnoticed but keep posting and making small adjustments in titles, tags and thumbnails and I'm sure the followers are going to come!
I was just about to ask what that number stands for until I realized that’s my subscriber count. Can’t believe I gained that many subscribers since posting that video. Hope it encourages you to keep going as well!! :)
I'm trying to say that it is worth it to start a youtube even if you are not monetized yet. A lot of times people think you need to earn money on youtube so it "pays off" because most people never make it past the monetization a lot of people never make an account or give up too soon. I'm trying to explain from my 6 months experience of being on RUclips that I see improvements in my life and benefits through my RUclips Account so I can motivate others to get started because you have nothing to loose. Hope that makes sense!
What I'm saying is a lot of people don't start or give up RUclips pretty soon because they aren't monetized and they think RUclips is only worth it if you are monetized. So I made this video about how RUclips is paying off to me, what I learned and gained with the experience of doing RUclips and I'm not monetized, hoping to help other content creators that are just starting out to see the potential that RUclips has even before hitting that milestone of monetization. Hope that helps!

Connecting with like-minded people is important. They help us to keep going. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work 😊
Exactly and thank you!!
very nice video! Thank you for sharing! It really feels validating to see other people on the same journey and ahead!
Thank you!
Your earrings are so cute 🦋 "done is better than perfect because perfect is never done." - idk who said this, but it's hits.
I love your authenticity, imma sub cuz I'm excited to see where your channel goes. 💜
Personally the more seriously I took making videos the less I enjoyed it.
90%!!! Wow, that is insane. I’m very slowly growing, keeping the faith 🤞🏼✨ but it can be disheartening sometimes🤍
Hey mama!! I subbed 🤍
Yes, I feel you! It isn't easy to be a part of the 10%, but it's also not as impossible as it seems. We got this!!
@@arcanecoral definitely gal🥰👏🏼
Yes, the same way as you describe it :)
For me it was the same, I was surprised how much colleagues are supportive and asking when the next video is going to be :D
Thank you for sharing that! That encourages me as well and I love that your colleagues are supportive! I wasn't bold enough to tell people :D
It just takes a lot of work and dedication and patience.
keep going girl we should just follow the process without worrying about the results. im also very near to 1k subs. i hope you reach it too very soon.
Thank you! And yes, keep it up as well!!
(Some people create multiple accounts until one style or niche works)
Motivating to see you start over regardless of already having 20k!! I respect you for taking that risk and being a role model!! It’s going to be worth it ❤️
Many thanks for the confidence and support you're providing us with this video. I wish your community to grow and let the creating process become more enjoyable!
Thank you so much!! Good luck to you too!!
Great Video! Well done! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to watching you grow as I too work toward building my new channel.
I started my RUclips channel and am busy working on a video to hopefully upload next week! so exciting and daunting
Yes, you go girl! I'll follow :) Trust the process!!!
Awesome video! I also feel the same way. I just started a study with me channel and am enjoying the process so far but it does feel like an uphill climb to reach more subscribers. Good luck to you!
I was debating with myself. I made a couple of shorts and was thinking about making more. I believe this is a skill worth developing.
Thank you!
Yes, for sure worth it to get into video editing!! Keep it up!
Thanks for the encouragement to “just start”. Your authenticity came through…
Thank you! Happy to help :)
Im working on my channel, just the same as you! Stay motivated, stay true to yourself, and i look forward to more of your content! Much love ❤
Thank you! Let's see where this journey takes us :)
yeey you have reached 1k!! this gives motivation for me as well 🥰
I think your channel will be absolute success because it has that relaxing vibe. So keep going with the good work!
Thank you for the kind words 🤍 appreciate it!
You are doing great. You are looking face forward, so your audience is with you.
Love this, doing RUclips has made me more aware of things I usually never put into words. Such a great way to improve language skills 👏🏼
Thank you!! I'm glad we share these thoughts :)
Thankyou, Ok am starting right now with a samsung Note 4.

I finally posted my first video and i'm far from content with it and see so many things to improve but if you're reading this then this is a sign to just get that first video out! it's not about perfection at the start, just try to improve every video 1% from the last one
All very well said! Congratulations with 895 subs. VERY soon you will fly over the 1000 subs. line 😄

I don’t know man. It’s making me dizzy. But I want to listen to what she’s saying.
Didn't mean to do that on purpose 😅 I was recording with my front camera and looked at myself that's why it's a little off the camera.
@Itsmaaikeelevate I feel embarrassed for not seeing it during the editing 😂 I saw 3 comments saying it and was like ??? And then I saw it too 🤦🏼♀️
Itsmaaikeelevate right! Also because I don’t look myself in the eyes when I edit 😂 I just pay attention to what I want to cut out/b rolls. But now I know for the future
Thank you for sharing. It really helps me!!!

I always loved RUclips and I want to make a channel.
I did the buying equipment procrastination thing too.
So easy to get stuck there. I believe in you!

Great video!!
Thank you! xx!
Very inspiring, ty

U remember the time I uploaded for the very first time 2 years ago or so and you saw it and I deleted it? 😭
Came a long way
Wonderful.
I subscribed. Just because I can.
Cool.

I am trying to understand why I can download your videos
oh really? Lol I have no clue
which phone did you record this on?
iPhone 14 Pro
I'm obeying the algorithm to help my soon future AI Karma if that's a thing, so you're over halfway there and I sorta helped by subscribing and babbling in comments maybe!?
I appreciate it, thank you!
RIP headphone users from that intro..
😭 I'm sorry, I should've lowered it down more

Look at your lense 😉
I recorded it through my front camera and looked at myself so it's a little off the camera. 😅
@@arcanecoral yeah I guessed that 😝
RUclips is rigged. My friend is making clickbait and "reupload" content for abt 2 months and he alr make 100 USD yesterday. And he doesn't even put effort to make his original content 🤣🤣
Theres def different ways to approach it. But I don't think that method is going to work long term/doesn't have as much growth potential.
Look at the lens, not the screen.
I noticed and adjusted in my newer videos 😅
Hoping someone would notice my content 🥺
The beginning is always hard and frustrating knowing you but a lot of work into something that seems to stay unnoticed but keep posting and making small adjustments in titles, tags and thumbnails and I'm sure the followers are going to come!
It takes a while for the algorithm to understand who your audience is and who to recommend your videos to, so don't let it discourage you!
Your eyes looking away from the cam is dizzying.
762
I was just about to ask what that number stands for until I realized that’s my subscriber count. Can’t believe I gained that many subscribers since posting that video. Hope it encourages you to keep going as well!! :)
No new channel is monetized, your title makes no sense.
@yokarra Exactly! Made sense to me too!
Pretty lady
Weird title, really.
Just how would you start a RUclips channel, with it being monetized from the get go?!
😆
What I'm saying is a lot of people don't start or give up RUclips pretty soon because they aren't monetized and they think RUclips is only worth it if you are monetized. So I made this video about how RUclips is paying off to me, what I learned and gained with the experience of doing RUclips and I'm not monetized, hoping to help other content creators that are just starting out to see the potential that RUclips has even before hitting that milestone of monetization. Hope that helps!
