sounds inspirational, but realistically if you will wake up 30mins earlier - all you would want to do it to sleep a bit longer :) Apart from that - 30mins is not enough for any meaningful chunk of work, even 1 hour - after you wake up it usually takes 15 mins just for your brain to boot and even if you will be working on your beloved hobby before going to work that you don't really enjoy you may feel devastated by having to switch. either way - good luck with your yt journey

This is literally me! Sometimes It's not the amount of sleep and if you're demotivated and doing things over and over again it's not gonna work. Just break the cycle cuz motivation is not always with us. Discipline is the key!

No you are right. I'm tired because of my newborn - but not as tired as I was in my last month of pregnancy 😂 but I will implement your tipps as soon as we get somewhat normal sleep during the night

Very inspiring video, so many truths here. Thank you so much! I have a ton of subscribers and views and yet i am not monetised, im far from being monetised but the trade is absolutely undeniable and far more valuable to me. I have a full time job that pays me well and only post 2 videos per month because i love sharing my experiences with people. I have been told a video with 1k views gets a RUclipsr around 10-20 dollars if that and that doesn’t cover the hours and hrs of editing and filming. As a very introverted man i find YT has been such a blessing in my life. Anyone reading this and feeling lonely or shy, should definitely try to have a channel! It has really changed my life.

Thanks for the encouragement. I started posting RUclips videos during the pandemic. I am a pastor, and had to do worship services from home for my church. These days I have been sharing music covers, because I am also a singer and guitarist, I am thinking about starting to share videos to tie faith with music. I am at about 50 subscribers so far. I am thankful to be in a community with people like you, so we can encourage one another. Keep up the good work, my friend!

Having a viral video was useful. Until about 2 weeks ago I'd been posting for about 6 months, with some interest, but a long way from my monetization goal. I was getting a bit demotivated and reconsidering the time and effort, then for reasons which are completely unfathomable, one of my videos just blew-up. It was so much fun to watch the numbers rising almost before my eyes! Anyway, that single video pushed me well over the 1000 subs and within a couple of days I was past the very challenging 4000 hours, and monetized! Yeah! The pace has slowed way down again and making any real money (about $2.00 a day at the moment ... and falling!) will perhaps require a different strategy now. But getting over that first hurdle is a lot of work and I probably couldn't have done it without that single viral vid.

This video is incredibly inspiring! Embracing vulnerability and stepping out of our comfort zones is so important.

Yess! I can agree on so many levels Arcane. As a small creator myself the last thing I want is to get a video that gets like 100,000 views all of a sudden. I would rather grow my community gradually and get some viewership from those people that decided to follow me over time.

Listen, I was made redundant 2 weeks ago and seriously, being jobless is a gift the way I see it. Instead of looking for a job to go to straight away, I have chosen to peruse my dreams of: >starting another YT channel from scratch again. >Spend more time with my kids and actually be there and listen to them because my new “work” fits around our family and not the other way around. >I am also working on creative projects, >business projects, >my mind just has the space to ideate because I’m out of that rat race mode (and these are the best ideas I’ve seriously ever had without even forcing myself to think), >I feel so free, I finally getting time to reflect and counsel myself, work on my mental and emotional health as well as my children’s It’s just the best things ever. Perhaps I should have taken a little break like you did, but I went guns blazing on the things I’d held myself back from doing for so long. But when you run your own time, I guess you can take that break whenever. Love that you posted this. There is so much stigma around being unemployed but we ought to have have significant chunks in our lives where we are not tied down to an employer to figure ourselves out. When does the average person ever get that time?

As a social media platform, I do find that RUclips is mostly very positive. People say nice things.
