Correction to your correction. An Orca IS a whale! It belongs to the parvorder Toothed whales - as do dolphins. The Cetacea is collective name for all whales, both Toothed and Baleen. (I only know this because I was about to correct you on calling the Orca a whale, but doublechecked so as not embarass myself - as some other jackal clearly did)
Yes, a toothed whale. :-) In my misspent youth I worked in whaling museums, and I had to know that sort of thing. I felt compelled to correct that Correction out loud, so now my cats are also secure in the knowledge that orcas are both dolphins and whales; the former classification being a subset of the latter. However, they also heard the bit about the orcas' unspecified murder victims, and now they won't come out from under the couch in case the tide rises and the toothed dolphin-whales come looking for fresh meat. Incidentally, in the logs of late 19th-century whaling ships orcas are referred to as Grampus. Which could open up a whole new set of animal jokes if anyone actually cared what a bunch of grubby sailors nicknamed whales 100 years ago.
Came for this, I felt sure someone had to say it! All dolphins are whales but not all whales are dolphins. Allllllso mayyyybe this is a separate comment but as a marine science educator I have to say conchs definitely have shells. (loved the Marcel the Shell reference).
Corrections is the highlight of the week for me and marks the start of the weekend! Kudos to Seth and all involved! *I never thought I was a jackal, but: I had no issue with the eagle previously being able to say 'b' in flubs, but now it's canon that they can't say 'B' because they don't have lips how are they still saying 'flubs' in the song, shouldn't they be singing 'animal fluACKs'? Unless we're hearing their voice like Garfield's thoughts and they're miming to the voice in their head, in which case I have no issue.
Really???? From sending in a post card??? Which country you live in?? 👀 Im beyond excited about getting one, should i use it at work or keep it safe at home?
@Singing Sunflower If you're single, use it at work, so you can find the jackal you're meant to marry. If you're married, keep it home until you're ready to have an affair. An attentive jackal partner will notice it's gone and up his/her game to keep you...or not, but at least you'll know.

I can't bring myself to watch Corrections until a few days after it's been out, so as to let the tribe of jackals paw and howl and bark at each other. One of my favorite jackorrections is whoever told Seth to fix the eagle, turns out they didn't have a clue what they were talking about and there are actual science papers done on birds that can make "b" (and "p") sounds, so they made the whole situation worse, dragging Seth with them into their black hole of lies! Can't wait for next week's eagle to sing properly again! Thanks syrinx!

Oh! That would be so brilliant!
Bwahahahahahahaaaaaa!!!
Well I had to laugh because I'm watching 30 Rock from the beginning and there's a cue card guy named Wally!
@@alrightyru Is it him? If it's not, then it's a reference to him.
@@EmpyreanLightASMR not the same person but I defo wondered & slowed it down to see!
I have noticed the sensibilities of Corrections creeping into show segments and I LIKE IT!
I would seriously like to know; A: What time of day is "Corrections" typically recorded at? B: How long after Thursday taping does Lorne leave the office, so u can record this mayhem?
I would also like to know this
A BTS look at Corrections is mandatory for the next Specjackular
They record it after their Thursday show.
The place someone requests a ticket says shows typically end by 5:15 pm [though it can change,] so I would imagine that these probably start recording around 6:30 pm give or take 30 minutes.
mistook the cicada cicada headpiece for a fan-made mantis shrimp hat and was immediately racking my brain to recall an instance where my fav crustaceans were referenced on this show. glad to see I didn’t miss anything lol
Oh, are you perchance a fan of Zefrank's channel? He has a lovely mantis shrimp episode.
@@chezmoi42 I actually hadn’t seen that video! I gave it a watch and really enjoyed it. thanks for the recommendation! :)
@@certifiedboghopper9622 I hope you'll enjoy all the rest, too. He's manically silly and scientifically accurate all at the same time.
I came looking for this comment, because I knew I couldn't be the only one who thought it was a mantis shrimp!
man tis shrimp hat really threw you off, eh
Seth and Company really work their asses off. Thank you glorious weirdos!
I live for corrections... it's so good that it literally is a potential cure to depression.
"Joyce is our receptionist. She's a lot."
I'd love to imagine that James Joyce's friends said similar.
"Joyce is our writer friend. He's *A LOT*."
😂😂 I want to make this an urban legend
Everyone who has ever read "Ulysses" came away with that conclusion, I promise you!
Methinks Ezra Pound was a buddy of James Joyce's, and if so, I'm thinking J.J. might've been one of the more normal people in their circle of friends.
(Also, to get *A LOT* in darker thicker writing, you need a space between your second * and the punctuation after it.)
@@chonqmonk good advice. But with my screen, the bold is actually less noticeable than the asterisks. So this way conveys emphasis better to me
@@chonqmonk I mean, my basic rule is if you ever find the "normal" one in a group of artist friends then:
1. Hey, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a critic/reviewer/producer/publisher/editor! At the very least it's nice to have someone who lives long enoto promote you and your friends work!
2. Don't. Look. Any. Deeper.
(Also, I did not know that, so thank you for the hint! It doesn't seem to actually make it bolder on the phone, unfortunately, but now I know for the future.)
I have so much sympathy for the staff who had to sing _Animal Flubs_ three times. You are - or should have been - unsung heroes.
I'll see myself out.
Pretty sure that was Seth doing every voice
@@Jewlzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz then I will hold sympathy for all of Seth's personalities and hope they never stage a revolt.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I tried to explain animal flubs to my wife, now she thinks I'm weird.
Lol it's definitely just seth :p
Thank you so much for wearing the costume the entire time!! 💗
I find this segment Sharming
there needs to be a dating app only for people who watch Corrections. part of it I think is that the positive energy in the comment section each week is unlike anything on RUclips.
Lindell the Shell With Shoes On could have been saved for a studio audience. Between the D&B Card and Animal Flubs, though, this is the hardest you've made me laugh this week. Much Love. I was surprised you didn't notice Wally's card in the back of that photo, but I can't blame you. Seth's Wife is hot.
Haven’t gotten to that part yet but I love Jenny as Marcel The Shell With Shoes on (:
This always makes me laugh so hard. Thank you for doing it. The Cicada costume joke should go into the Library of Congress to be preserved forever! Haha
The knitted hat and scarf make it impossible not to laugh! I think it’s the little puffs (bug eyes?) over his ears and the two dangly antennae bits!! 😂😂😂
Crocheted
A knitter I watch on RUclips has a shirt they sell that says "I am pro Joyce". I thought about getting it for a laugh before and I now have even more reasons for it to tempt being in my life. 💜
But will people won’t get it. It will be “ Ulysses” …
You are my favorite show host ever period!
If this is ANY indicator for the “costuming” for Cicada Cicada, which we have ALREADY been excited to see made - well, sign me up for the entire front row! 😂
Last week was indescribable. This week I can’t help but wonder if I am in the midst of a psychedelic dreamscape! 😅😅😅
Loving every minute! Thank you Seth and the entire team.
My word of the week "austridge"! Thanks!
What do you call a digital cow?
An e-moo.
What do you call a digital cat?
An e-mew.
Some may see the beauty of Seth’s wife for her looks, but I see her beauty through her occupation. She’s a special person. ❤️
It's because she's seen him sleeveless, Seth's hot
This is so true!!! I agree a lot ❤
"Popes are celibate"
***laughs in Borgia***
Celibate priests --
they can't have their own kids but everyone else's are fair game.
Oh Alexander VI 🤣
The Bill Kitten joke made me so nostalgic for Seth's actual Hulu animated show, The Awesomes. I want a revival/continuation on Peacock so bad!
Assuming this installment of Corrections was from our reality, it has really made me contemplate the Corrections multiverse.
I look forward to Corrections more than anything else each week. 🥰
Joyce is not Lorne's mistress, she's his consort.
This being a jackal section, I have to point out that they would have to be married for Joyce to be a consort.
Joyce would be more of a concubine.
This corrections idea was such a great idea sir!! I love it almost as good as your show!! 😂
This show is my Friday morning breakfast ritual.
Same!! Look forward to this all week
So excited to get even a hint of Cicada Cicada!!!
I have been watching these since the beginning...this one made me laugh just as loud as the 1st few. Thank you!
Corrections is the highlight of the week for me and marks the start of the weekend! Kudos to Seth and all involved!
*I never thought I was a jackal, but:
I had no issue with the eagle previously being able to say 'b' in flubs, but now it's canon that they can't say 'B' because they don't have lips how are they still saying 'flubs' in the song, shouldn't they be singing 'animal fluACKs'? Unless we're hearing their voice like Garfield's thoughts and they're miming to the voice in their head, in which case I have no issue.
well said
Thanks for the mug Seth. This Jackel got hers today!
The knitted cicada headpiece is what elevated this to high art. 🎉😅
I have tickets to see Seth in Austin, TX in April. I also have a link to purchase a Mac Tonight costume. What are the odds Seth will have security escort me out if I try to wear it during his set?
It’s worth the chance!
Ooh, does that mean he's filming a new comedy special?
He'd know a jackal was in the house.
@@AccelerateYourSuccess I’m not sure if it’s being filmed. Didn’t see anything about that when I bought tickets. It’s for a comedy festival that’s held every year in Austin.
Mac tonight is a national treasure!
Thank you. I can go to sleep now and I am smiling.😊❤
Falling asleep smiling is the best!
Having the Eagle Flub in the song Animal Flubs was genius!! Great comedy writing.
Turns out, it wasn't a flub!
That baby doll head makes me laugh every time. I say break the rule of threes and just make it an ongoing drop you can call back to like you do with your accents, the cicada play, Mac tonight. Itd be really funny if to avoid Wally having any lines in corrections you make the baby head holding a cue card at the end.
Don’t worry. Even Fight Club has more rules than this place…
Anyone else frightened by how much that shell actually looked like Mike Lindell
I ran out of exclamatory words of acclimation a few comments back, but you are all killing it!
This segment has been a lifesaver, thank you.
(Not a Jackal here) Corrections has become my favorite part of your show.
The Black Dog's music is rad.
You are automatically a jackal.
It’s 1:15, and Lorne is hitting send on his text right this instant. I’m betting he doesn’t mention the hat
Holy crap the headwear gave Seth like super comedic power...
I just received my international Jackal mug this morning, thank you so much, it's made my day xx
Congratulations! Great news! Can’t forget the international Jackals!
The Animal Flubs segment is already becoming my favorite. Laughed out loud. Goddamnit.
