Correction: Whoever corrected you about how your monologue couldn't be interrupted by Wally made a common mistake: the word dialogue doesn't take the Greek 'di-' prefix, meaning "two", like you find in the word "dilemma". That's an incorrect backformation. It takes the 'dia-' prefix, as in "diatribe". The word dialogue's Greek etymological roots are "through" (dia) and "speech" (logos), so any speaking is a dialogue, regardless of the number of participants. So your monologue didn't turn into a dialogue when Wally interrupted you, it *remained* a dialogue. Also, even if your monologue ceased and became something else, it was still possible for Wally to have interrupted it, because that's what interrupting means! Sheesh, if you are going to be pedantic, at least do us the curtsey of being accurate, anonymous jackal!
I didn’t know any of the dia info you gave (thank you!) but I absolutely thought the same thing about interrupting a monologues: it was exactly what happened!

Nah Seth, I loved this episode. The dramatic ones are always fun but I like that you break them up with episodes that are reminiscent of the early days of Corrections. It feels like curling up under a favorite blanket on a rainy day. Edit: Shouldn't this be episode 73, considering how much effort you put into getting the Emmys not to consider the Specjackular an episode?
What's so nice about this is that we see more of Seth, and less of the show, and that's honestly all any of us really want. That being said, I love Wally, Mikey 'The Shoe' Maker, and especially all the writers (who I remain supremely jealous of) , but this is is Seth Meyers Late Night Show, after all.
Like the out of sequence Doctors in the Whoniverse, this is the kind of thing that gets the fanatics going. The Specjackular is like John Hurt as The War Doctor or Rowan Atkinson (and Joanna Lumley et al) in The Curse of the Fatal Death on Red Nose Day. Discuss.
Another Correction- if we go to the home page playlist for Corrections, it doesn’t even list the very first of Seth’s “attempts” to correct, which as he just mentioned, was the Lego bits. Fun fact about Mac Tonight: He was played by legendary pantomime actor Doug Jones. Jones has played many characters in film who have few or no lines and wear full body costumes or heavy makeup. Notably, this includes Billy Butcherson from the Hocus Pocus movies and the fish man from The Shape of Water. Come to think of it, maybe it makes sense that Seth is afraid of Mac Tonight.

Not a correction, but something to consider: the Lego Seth and Mac Tonight are created to mimic the ‘Brickheadz’ theme, which traditionally includes a pink brick (usually 2x2) hidden in the head area to indicate a brain. I’d be very disappointed in this Lego enthusiast if the inside of Mac Tonight’s head doesn’t contain a brain or a slip of paper with the coordinates of his last victim (or something)
Honestly the worst part about "catching up" with Corrections is that the RUclips playlist is in decending chronological order, meaning I can't just put episode 1 on and go, its an entire process. Same with Closer Look and Monologue, why have them in reverse chronological order? Is it for the people who like to travel backwards in time instead of following it sequentially?

The puns were so bad they were awesome. Also that photo of Seth with the "blows" under it, needs to be your opening graphic for "Late Night with Seth Meyers" from now on.
5:40 props to the camera op for being engaged enough to recognize the opportunity for a focus rack here, and pulling it off nicely. I don’t imagine there’s a rehearsal.
I 100% agree you need to watch the whole thing in order or you don’t get the true nuance. As some one who has seen almost everyone twice the lore that has been weaved together here is amazing and I love it!
Bravo to that Jackal who bravely suggested they should change the opening package. Seth has grown a lot from when he first started, and it's always nice to see hosts grow into their own.
Seth, have you ever considered putting the animal flub as composers of the musical Cicada, Cicada!?, so that masterpiece it would be complete with them ! 🤣
So, generally speaking, the Deaf Community feels that "Hearing Impaired" is a pejorative. It places the emphasis on the the lack of ability, the "damaged" aspects of the person. Thus a better word to use is actually Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing. Deaf is a word that is celebrated and really owned by the community, writ large.
The Corrections playlist on this channel is in reverse chronological order, so this episode is first, followed by ep 73. RUclips doesn't provide a way to reverse a playlist, only shuffle, so you can't easily watch from the beginning to see the development of Corrections arcs and tropes.
@@paulvander120 Of course, that, in general, is what I thought right away. Why is seth so concerned? Like many episodic shows, this one is being catalogued by one, or several, or many youtuber(s).
The Animal Flubs song whips ass and I want it back. The wife and I have been singing it to each other for 2 weeks solid. Also, food absolutely CAN take the edge off stimulants. If I don't eat breakfast with my ADHD meds I can really tell the difference.
Fun fact: those cheap Toshibas people used to get did in fact overheat. I'm in IT, I always told people not to get them. When they would, I would try to fix them, but usually find they were more expensive to fix than just buying a new one.

Now when I realize that I have an ear worm of say something like "Who Let the Dogs Out", I can now immediately summon the Animal Flubs song and the ear worm is vanquished. A tip 'o the hat and a thanks to Animal Flubs singers (and the graphic arts dept, sort of).
Koala, you been done dirty. Suppression of the Animal Flubs theme is the work of haters and philistines. Please, give us jackals the musical delights we deserve.
I know they have a bad reputation, but at least pay Philistines the respect of a capital letter. Even if the Eastern Media Elites are anti-Phillistine, as a people, they still are owed the courtesy of a proper noun.
Correction: As you said, this started with the Lego error and also with people correcting you on how to say "Doof Warrior", but those were separate videos that not only are not in the playlist (now that the videos are renamed to include an episode number, they're not episode 1, nor 2, nor 3) but to make things worse, those videos have been privated, so people CAN'T watch this from the very beginning.
And those three truly are the best and so funny! The comment section is where it all really began. I got to reading the comments during Quarantine cause, like what else was there to do those days/night/months…… anyways the comments were funnier than the episodes and just added to the whole experience. Corrections is the best thing ever! What Seth and all of us Jackals have created together is to me, magical.
Because when they spelled out flubs, with each animal saying a letter, people pointed out that the eagle had the letter B, which he couldn't pronounce bc he doesn't have lips (leading to this week's "son of a itch")
I like the idea of organizing the corrections playlist from oldest to newest, so the first episode is at the top and anyone who wants to dive into the corrections universe can the the videos play on like that.
Your coworkers won't appreciate the animal flubs song at eight o'clock in the morning. I learned this the hard way. Eff them though because I got it stuck in their heads.

Mug-drinking jackal here, too
I use mine every morning while watching clips from the night before!
But did you get the original Corrections mug?
I have always loved Seth, but Seth on Corrections is my cup of Tea! Thank you, Seth for another great Corrections!
I unironically would listen to Corrections as a podcast RELIGIOUSLY. I've been a Jackal from the jump and looking forward to Corrections on Fridays has been keeping me going since quarantine.
The puns were so bad they were awesome.
Also that photo of Seth with the "blows" under it, needs to be your opening graphic for "Late Night with Seth Meyers" from now on.
I agree, the Seth blows cicada picture is the perfect updated graphic the are looking for!
That needs to be the background image for Seth's RUclips channel; graphics couldn't have designed a more iconic image
Corrections brings me so much peace in a dismal time, thank you all-Seth and jackals both! 😅
I can't believe that during Seth's tangent on Closed Captioning, the Closed Captioning reads "mosquito" instead of "my 'Cicada, Cicada' " 😂
5:40 props to the camera op for being engaged enough to recognize the opportunity for a focus rack here, and pulling it off nicely. I don’t imagine there’s a rehearsal.
I 100% agree you need to watch the whole thing in order or you don’t get the true nuance. As some one who has seen almost everyone twice the lore that has been weaved together here is amazing and I love it!
love this segment. thanks so much for the humor you all share~
I love how unwillingly Seth said "it's time for animal flubs" :D
Bravo to that Jackal who bravely suggested they should change the opening package. Seth has grown a lot from when he first started, and it's always nice to see hosts grow into their own.
14:20 That “blows” joke cracked me up!!! I know the neighbor is wondering what I’m doing over here. 😂🤣😂
Love this - easily as good as closer look and news of the week, if not better
I look forward to these every week. Makes me laugh every time, great jokes! Please don't stop, jackals!
Seth, have you ever considered putting the animal flub as composers of the musical Cicada, Cicada!?, so that masterpiece it would be complete with them ! 🤣
Oooooooohhhh yes!
Totally!!!
I like that idea but it would have to be a musical collaboration with Jon Secada and the composer of the Animal Flubs theme song.
@@feminist5641 oh yes so true , i like this idea
Terrific suggestion! v
But this includes people who are impaired temporarily, like meth-heads. That is a big demographic for Corrections.
Good to know. My mummy is profoundly deaf & has 95% improvement with her hearing aides on. v
So glad Corrections is back!
The next phase of Seth’s transformation into full-time RUclipsr will be when he posts his desk de clutter 😂
The Corrections playlist on this channel is in reverse chronological order, so this episode is first, followed by ep 73. RUclips doesn't provide a way to reverse a playlist, only shuffle, so you can't easily watch from the beginning to see the development of Corrections arcs and tropes.
I have a corrections playlist on my channel in chronological order that I think should work if anybody needs it
@@paulvander120 Of course, that, in general, is what I thought right away. Why is seth so concerned? Like many episodic shows, this one is being catalogued by one, or several, or many youtuber(s).
You’re giving a perfectly sensible answer to a very silly question.
The Animal Flubs song whips ass and I want it back. The wife and I have been singing it to each other for 2 weeks solid.
Also, food absolutely CAN take the edge off stimulants. If I don't eat breakfast with my ADHD meds I can really tell the difference.
Man this never fails to brighten up my week!
Have there really been 74 of these already? Either way, they’ve become one of my favorite parts of the week 🤗 Keep it coming, Seth. Love it! ❤️
Skip Corrections!? I'd never dare!
That sigh of relief joke still burns but I can't stop laughing.
I, too, was highly amused.
Hey Seth, Jakell here.. just wanted to say I really enjoy corrections, it's pretty funny and u are definitely One of my favorite youtubers. Congrats.
Are you a French jackal? 😂
I do love his status as "youtuber" despite the fact that he's on NBC, which is network.
@@johnobrien2373 Especially when it was the network that served us TFG. Just one of the reasons why I haven’t owned a tv in 15 years.
@John O'Brien that was the joke, obviously I know he is a very successful network personality.
@Megan Barber I'm from Los Angeles. And I used to love French people, then I visited France and discovered that French people suck.
Fun fact: those cheap Toshibas people used to get did in fact overheat. I'm in IT, I always told people not to get them. When they would, I would try to fix them, but usually find they were more expensive to fix than just buying a new one.
I would love a podcast of this, I look forward to this all week as one of the best things.
Corrections is the best ! Thank you Seth and your crew . Also , PLEASE do another stand up soon . I watch Lobby Baby @ least once a month and it never gets old 😊
Bathtub Baby!
I can’t believe you took out the Animal Flubs song! Whoever is saying that it sucks isn’t a real Jackal. They’re just a jack hole, Seth. *A JACK HOLE.*
💯
💯!
Agreed!
the monologue becoming a dialogue reminds me of Mitch Hedberg's joke about how escalators can't break...they just become stairs
Don't listen to the naysayers, koala! The Animal Flubs song is peak comedy. The first episode with the song gave me my biggest laugh in months.
Its not closed captioning unless its released hardcoded onto the media. So if youtube is putting it on your video it's open captions.
Re: Desk Clutter - my vote is to keep it all!
Sincerely, a semi-hoarding collector 😂
Sai relief. I’m dying. Gold, Jerry! Can’t wait to see you next week for the 75th! ❤
Jerry? You a ZeFrank fan?
@@katm6 I'm actually the opposite of a ZeFrank fan. Seriously, what is the deal with ZeFrank fans?
Agreed, this week's Jokes Seth Can't Tell was maybe the best one ever.
Easily, the best part was Amber not being able to control herself all the way through!
This week’s JSCT and the one with Wanda Sykes are my two favorites!
Seth's smile makes me smile.
Great video, all.
Yay! I'm the one who sent in the Devil's Teeth, and am so happy they made it in!
Good for you. It was a laugh!
@@anro7137 thanks! They were actually tough, but really fun and rewarding to make
Banger of an episode Seth and team
I love the Animal Flubs song! Please bring it back! It's hilarious!
Seth, your comedy got this “essential” worker through lockdown and it’s somehow only gotten better. I love your silliness, it’s needed! Thank you and thanks to your team ❤️
I actually had the Animal Flubs theme song stuck in my head this week. Unfunny? Sure! Grating? You bet! Catchy? Just enough.
5:34 “I see the moon, the moon sees me . . .” 🕶️🌛😂
The lapel mic on the Lego Seth is the cherry on top 👌
I’m still keeping up with my sad New Year’s resolution of watching every ‘corrections’ this year
NEVER skip corrections.
I cry laughed so hard when the Animal Flub crew refused to participate and quoted the youtube comment. Fucking. So. Funny.
Koala, you been done dirty. Suppression of the Animal Flubs theme is the work of haters and philistines. Please, give us jackals the musical delights we deserve.
I know they have a bad reputation, but at least pay Philistines the respect of a capital letter. Even if the Eastern Media Elites are anti-Phillistine, as a people, they still are owed the courtesy of a proper noun.
watching this at the end of my shift at work and laughing my ass off 😂
thank you for doing these Seth, i really needed this serotonin 😭🙏🏼🙏🏼
Animal flubs, with or without the song, is just amazing.
Animal flubs! Animal flubs! Whoever wrote that email is a dirty rotten hoser animal flubs!
Animal flubs!
Though I'm already missing the theme song, not quite able to hum from memory. 😔
This has become the best part of my week. I cry every Friday when Seth is on vacation that week and I don't get to watch a new corrections.
Oh no, really?
And those three truly are the best and so funny! The comment section is where it all really began. I got to reading the comments during Quarantine cause, like what else was there to do those days/night/months…… anyways the comments were funnier than the episodes and just added to the whole experience. Corrections is the best thing ever! What Seth and all of us Jackals have created together is to me, magical.
I am happy that the capturing says "[Laughter]", especially when Seth blows, because sometimes I am not sure if it's Laughter I hear in the room.
...or if it's funny
lol makes Fridays worth getting up for! Thanks Seth and crew. Wow, I'm surprised Korecshuns HASN'T been put together as a podcast yet. Good call.
I just love Corrections and I love Animal Flubs❤ Why other animals hadn’t chance to speak? Is Koala the leader?
Because when they spelled out flubs, with each animal saying a letter, people pointed out that the eagle had the letter B, which he couldn't pronounce bc he doesn't have lips (leading to this week's "son of a itch")
Why doesn’t the koala have a borderline offensive Australian accent?
I learn so much from this show while choking on my breakfast unintentionally.
I want to apologize for my absence last week while I was on holiday- I know my fellow jackals didn’t let me down. Love you Seth! ❤😜👍🏻
LOL at silent Animal Flubs. Corrections is the best slow-burn comedy being produced today.
You don't need trees with outlets. Just find a currant bush.
Bring your converter plug.
That belongs in the dad joke hall of shame.
Painful, just painful. Lol!
Love, love the corrections. It’s like looking behind the curtain.
I like the idea of organizing the corrections playlist from oldest to newest, so the first episode is at the top and anyone who wants to dive into the corrections universe can the the videos play on like that.
I love corrections so much! The show is great but this is the cherry on top.
I love weeks like this when the crew sounds like the Uncle Floyd crew. Also, whoever dissed the joyous Animal Flubs song is dead inside.
74 shows! Here we are still standing! Haha
True.
Listening to this as a podcast at work would be fantastic! 😆 All the laughing might make my coworkers worry though lol
Your coworkers won't appreciate the animal flubs song at eight o'clock in the morning. I learned this the hard way. Eff them though because I got it stuck in their heads.
“Nick Cannon” was perfection 😂😂😂
No Animal Flubs song is a travesty! It was becoming my fav part of Corrections. My wife is singing it now…and we are saddened to tears it was tossed aside this week. Damn Jackals!
No Jackal would criticize the Animal Flubs song that bad! Gotta be a troll.
“Wasn’t me”
I love corrections so much! Especially loved the lego Seth tonight
Seth! I need updates on TINY SECRET WHISPERS
Exactly! I mean if the 70’s show can make a comeback as the 90’s show, then TSW can come back!
