I absolutely love when a late night host is on another's show.. Their respect and caring for each other is so refreshing in this time of rampant hatred, nastiness and disrespect. During the screewriter' strike when their shows halted, the five of them collaborated on a podcast. True gentlemen.

The bit goes longer in the stand-up. He mimes crouching down reaching under a shelf, fishing for the dice. And when he has them, he just stays there for a few minutes for the peace it gives him. :D

For anyone who listened to Strike Force Five, Seth is definitely everyone's favorite and Seth's wife clearly has a great sense of humor.
The fact that all the "late night" hosts are friends really warms my soul.
And the fact that some of them even share an agent and gossip about him when on one another's shows 😂

Until it's a roll that really matters. Little kids think the harder they throw it the better the outcome will be. Those dice hit so hard you're worried about injury off a ricochet. I don't know about other adults, but I'm beaten down by life. When I really need a good roll it's reluctant. It is the softest toss of the dice. "I know this is going to go bad, so lets just ease into it.".

Their approaches to late night shows are very different, especially since the pandemic, and I love the contrast. I love the confidential, casual vibe that Seth has but Stephen’s more polished stuff is good too.

I love when Stephen has him on, loved the interview, but I just stared at it the whole time hoping he'd run his hand through it and inadvertently smooth it down. Just me? Sounds about right.

What would life be like without humor? It takes incredible intelligence to be funny and relevant. Life/death. Pretty/ugly, kinky/mean. Good/bad, up /down, all go together. cannot have one without the other, and it’s what makes life challenging and it will never be perfect. Fix one while that action cause trouble, like Big trouble in little China…one experience after another. The instant we are born, we begin to age and die, food and water make us grow, just like a plant (or weed). Where is time? Where do we find it, touch it, speak to it? A construction of the brain( ego). I enjoy good humor!❤

Funnily, the crosswalk man (Ampelmännchen) in Germany is green. When I moved to the US, I felt the same conundrum. I didn’t feel right telling my son to go on the white man. 😂 Not sure why it’s not green here like the traffic light!

Love these two. PSA: The Detour did a fabulous job with the crosswalk sign "white man" thing years ago. It's weirdly impossible to find streaming ( _very_ quick search suggests you may be able to pay for it on YT now, but it is not a particularly old or new show, so why can't I just watch it somewhere? ::Insert rant here about the worrisome issues with the move to streaming-platform-exclusive culture:: But I digress)
Seth very obviously did not crib from it for the special. Doubt he's even seen that scene. But felt like people should know that it exists if they enjoyed that bit from his special, because the soul of the joke is the same, just heightened differently. One of those observations you're surprised you hadn't thought of? But I suppose I've never been responsible for children while living in the city
