JACKAL FOR THE WIN! I was at an event at Rochester Institute of Technology where Seth was speaking and I was lucky enough to go to the very limited meet and greet. The organizers wouldn’t let me bring my mug up for Seth to sign. I complained to Seth and got my picture. I hung out after hoping he would change his mind. Im so excited!!! I cant believe we are all getting mugs!!! Just thinking about the reactions from people seeing the postcards was making me happy and motivated me to send one, but actually getting a mug is gonna blow me away!
I just wanna say that I bought MY mug out of MY pocket and then paid something like £25 to have it shipped internationally from my mom's house in Michigan. I hope you're happy. LOL
I also used a forwarding service to get one 😜 THEN sent a postcard just coz I love Corrections so much. In that postcard I said that I don't need to be part of the mug drawing since I already got one. Huh, I wonder where I stand in this everybody who sent a postcard gets a mug scenario. 🤔
As an "international viewer", I've got to say, that am relieved, that NBC's shipment guidelines have changed and that I can buy a mug and have it shipped to Europe without further trouble. Guess, that means, that I don't have to go through with my plans to marry an American woman, settle down in NY State, have two kids with her (maybe three... Samantha, Jochen and Jeremy-Günther), but then my work visa expires all of a sudden and I have to go back to Germany and I say "Honey, my work visa expired, I'm afraid I have to return to Germany, will you join me", and she says "I don't know what to say; the kids go to school now, they have all their friends here in America, that's a bit of a shocker..." - and I say "Fine, then I have to leave on my own... but we can still visit each other", to which she says "Of course! You are the love of my life!"... And now I've got her where I need her to be, answering "Oooh - that's so sweet, honey. Honey... on your next visit, ... do you think you could bring me a box full of Seth Meyer's Corrections mugs? That'd be totally awesome!" But now I can order them online, shipment to Europe isn't a problem anymore... but I'm somehow even more interested in starting a family now...
Love the continuing saga of the Maryland flag. I believe it's also part of a psychological test. Psychologist: (shows flag) "And what do you think of this?" Patient: "I like it." Psychologist: (3 minutes of note taking).
Correction of the Correction: there were two lesser known revolution in France on the 27, 28 and 29 of July 1830 and from the 22 to the 25 February 1848. So statistically, Seth had more chances to be right depending which french revolution he was referring to.
No, the 1848 succeeded. It was the Paris Commune rebellion of 1871 that failed, and was put down violently street by street. So there is a case to be made that lack of furniture was to blame.
As a Danish constitutional lawyer the 1848 revolution is the most important one, as it spread to Berlin and from there to then-Danish fiefdoms of Schleswig and Holstein. That lead to civil war and the Danish constitution of 1849.
This felt like one of the best Corrections ever...! The odyssey/mythology expands, haha. Hope you also get something fun, Seth, you definitely deserve it ^_^
We need a "mockumentary" on how this Jackal Mug adventure got so out of hand. And by the way, one of the definitions of a jackal is "one who seeks to gain advantage or profit from the difficulties of another." So once again, the jackals remain true to themselves. Enjoy your time off.

Lol! Well played and on point for Thanksgiving 😆
You win 😂
Seth bowing to Shoemaker because he's in Karate Kid garb is BRILLIANT. And it was obviously an ad lib/improv. So well done, Seth! 👏👏👏
I heard him say Shoe was in costume, but I missed the reference I guess... why was he in karate garb?
@@EmpyreanLightASMR
I doubt he was really in costume. 😉 But Seth was referencing "Wax on, wax off" from The Karate Kid when he was talking about waxing & waning moon phases. That's when he asked Shoemaker if he wanted to come up & show/demonstrate it to make his 1st appearance on camera. That's when he said Shoe was in costume, lol. Then a little while later, he bowed to Shoemaker, lol!!! Brilliant! 🤣
@@annestewart5741 ohhh ok, that makes more sense. my short term memory threw out everything from only a few minutes before haha. thank you!
Oh my god, these are so much funnier when you keep up with them and watch them concurrently! I laughed more on this one video than anything else this entire week.
"A kryptonite-proof bike helmet!!" And those dang lucky foreign jackals!! I hope they really do get those mugs. Keep up the good work guys!
Watching Corrections on the day it comes out (or at least before the next one) is a must!
Do you perhaps mean consecutively or contiguously, rather than concurrently?
@@jeddii or continuously?
What's the big hurry about watching "Corrections?" I USUALLY watch it right the same night, but this time it happened 5 days later. Still funny.
i'm glad i'm getting a mug, thank you so much seth for being the best idol on the planet. know that you made an international fan very happy

That'd be totally awesome!"
But now I can order them online, shipment to Europe isn't a problem anymore... but I'm somehow even more interested in starting a family now...
Love the continuing saga of the Maryland flag. I believe it's also part of a psychological test.
Psychologist: (shows flag) "And what do you think of this?"
Patient: "I like it."
Psychologist: (3 minutes of note taking).
If you look closely the flag isn’t reversible. The orientation does matter even if it’s only a minor difference.

I swear, I wanted to jump through the screen and say: “It’s not round, it’s spherical.”🤓
A day later, seriously thankful for corrections. Best comment section anywhere, hands down.
Happy holidays, fellow jackals🐾
Correction of the Correction: there were two lesser known revolution in France on the 27, 28 and 29 of July 1830 and from the 22 to the 25 February 1848.
So statistically, Seth had more chances to be right depending which french revolution he was referring to.
1848 probably failed because by then they were pretty low on furniture.
No, the 1848 succeeded. It was the Paris Commune rebellion of 1871 that failed, and was put down violently street by street. So there is a case to be made that lack of furniture was to blame.
@@seansmith3058 We still suffer the furniture shortage of 1848 to this day
@@mat7835 They could have used more armchair revolutionaries.
Hope you also get something fun, Seth, you definitely deserve it ^_^
Pro tip, don't eat while watching this. I almost choked to death on my breakfast at 14:45 😆
Too funny. I literally spewed out my coffee on Friday morning!
I thought for sure there’d be no Corrections this week, and then Seth & Co. came through for all of us. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
We need a "mockumentary" on how this Jackal Mug adventure got so out of hand. And by the way, one of the definitions of a jackal is "one who seeks to gain advantage or profit from the difficulties of another." So once again, the jackals remain true to themselves. Enjoy your time off.
I love how Seth felt the need to adjust the imaginary bolt in his temple when talking about Frankenstein - 7:53
6:57 If this is about that Les Miserables reference, then the actual mistake was that Les Miserables isn’t about the French Revolution, it’s about the June Rebellion of 1832.
Wait, what?
@@tridachia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_Rebellion
From memory, it came up when Seth talked about Trump using Do You Hear the People Sing? at a campaign event and mentioned 19th Century France. I’m actually not sure if Seth knew which event the book/musical was about, but either way he got the century right and the jackals were wrong.
Found it, ruclips.net/video/5r9GkkSs41k/видео.html about three and a half minutes in.
The faces you were making at end had me in stitches, Seth, thank you so very much!
Sometimes when Seth laughs he looks like the Comedy and Tragedy masks simultaneously
I agree with so many of the comments here. This is very funny. I feel this vibe is taking over his show, too. I’m loving it.
As someone who lives in Japan, Thanksgiving is already over for me. To be even more technical, it never actually happened here.
You should be thankful.
wow - seriously?!? *THANK YOU* Seth, for using your kids college fund to send us Jackals a mug. no, seriously, are you seriously seriously?? (not about the college fund, obviously). *all* I wanted, in sending my postcard, was getting the powers that be to allow international shipping. your happiness, seeing you with all those postcard (hope mine made it!) - a tangible measure of how much everyone around the world is enjoying this, was such an added bonus. serious Seth *thank you* for all the pleasure & joy & laughter you bring to us with each & every Corrections - really is a highlight of my week (along with the show itself - obviously, might have to go & watch the pillow bit yet again...) *thank you* arohanui (an abundance of love) from Aotearoa/New Zealand from one happy little jackal 🐾💙🐾💙🐾💙🐾💙 ❤😘
*Everyone* gets a mug? That’s one lucky draw. 🤩
If you do another Specjackular, it would be amazing if you could do something cool with the postcards. The jackals would love to know their full reach around the world!
Yes!!
I hate to tell you this Seth, but about a year ago I created a "flat moon society" design for sale on Amazon as a t-shirt, tank top, or sweatshirt. Sales have been kind of slow (maybe because there aren't very many flat mooners) so thank you for mentioning the idea as I am sure it will create a demand for this hilarious concept. - the only addison

Are they seriously gonna give us all mugs??? I cant tell if he is joking??? Omg! Im living paycheck to paycheck and still went out and browsed a perfect postcard and got a fancy stamp for USA just so I could imagine Seth reading it and being happy! I also imagined all the other people who work there or in close quarters seeing all the postcards start to rain in, and it made me happy just thinking this. But if I actually get a mug I think I might cry! I wonder how many mugs that would be? Oh I have to rewatch the episode with Seth holding all the postcards again!!
The bow was the hardest I've laughed at something on RUclips in a long time, the setup was perfect and the timing was spot on.
That "hold me to it" joke had such a long and flippant set-up, it was totally worth it.
Could you explain this joke? Whatever reference this was went way over my head. Was hoping someone in the comments would explain it, but so far, no dice.

CORRECTION: You can indeed draw any round object on a flat piece of paper - what you mean to say is that the moon is spherical.
Looking for episodes I missed along the way and am here a year too late to say something akin to your comment, except that I wouldn't suggest nor assert that Seth *meant* to say "spherical". He/they likely crafted the whole topical complex/multifaceted joke avoiding the term sphere by purpose. 🎣

NBC now has a European branch, called SkyShowtime, but somehow Late Night with Seth Meyers isn't on it and they don't have a merch store yet. John Oliver and Jon Stewart are available on HBO Max and Apple+, so this obviously should be fixed.
I always love Corrections, but this one was really extra funny and loopy. Happy Thanksgiving, Seth and Late Night crew!
Ah, Seth: Always a delight even performing the weekly corrections. In short, it's all funny as f-ck. And combined with Colbert, Kimmel, Maher, Fallon et al provides just the kind of honest journalism presented as comedy that the world & especially the USA so urgently requires. Carry on.
