Thank you. It obviously is very simple and helpful by show us it is no big deal. I did not catch if this could work in a truck, 1967-1972 ford, 2wd and 4wd. If you you might know where to buy transfer case supports or change to a married transfer case to the tran. Thanks.
Do you guys also make adapters for putting fe motors and modern trans in older trucks? Like motor mounts and trans mounts? Specifically a 1962 f250 that came with a y-block.
Jim, We do make adapters for the FE motor to nearly any modern transmission. We do not make motor mounts or transmission mounts. There are a number of sources that make motor mounts but typically the trans mount needs to be fabricated.
I have a 390 ford galaxie 500 1967 with a Camshaft, Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 274/286, Lift .562/.565, Ford, Big Block FE. And wanted to put a torque storm single supercharger and can i run it with out doing any work to the steal heads? Or do anything else to engine?
Any time you're adding boost to an engine, you want to make sure your engine is built to accommodate boost. Particularly, you want to ensure that you're running head gaskets and piston rings that can take the increased pressure. The single biggest mistake people make, when adding boost, is just bolting a supercharger on, or adding turbo(s) without making the necessary engine modifications prior to install. This often results in blown head gaskets and/or massive blow by. Tear your engine down and get it ready ahead of time, and also make sure you use quality fasteners going back together, such as ARP bolts or studs.
It kind of depends on what you will be doing with the vehicle. Overall a 6R80 is going to give you the best overall options as it is a 6 speed and in stock trim these transmissions tend to be very robust. The down side is the need for an aftermarket controller. However, if you plan on doing any amount of driving having the 6 speed will be better on fuel economy and engine noise should be lower.
hello would you have a crank adapter that will bolt a 460 flywheel to 351 modtified engine im trying to install a 5 speed transmission from 90 model f250 thank you

331,361,391 FT was available until mid year 1979 for the f600/700 trucks. Medium duty trucks unfortunately never had an FE, only the anemic FT. My 78 f600 4x4 now has built 460, the 361 was terrible.

What transmission would you recommend for a 352 Fe making around 550 horses? I don't think the 3-speed cruise-o-Matic will be a good fit lol.
