@neonthunderbird hi! I personally prefer the Southland. I love that it can provide extra gain that the Lightspeed can't. That said, it depends entirely on how you use it. The Lightspeed can be a clean boost, I have another pedal for that, the Southland, even with gain at minimum, is adding a bit of dirt. Why not get both? These 2 stack together better than anything else out there. If you really hate one (doubtful) you can move it on at little loss. Hope that helps? Cheers.
The Katana does a pretty good job and with my little tweak on the tone studio it takes pedals a lot better, But yes through the Marshall its all together better haha. My GAS for a Fender amp is increasing all the time though haha. Especially given 99% of pedals are developed with a twin or deluxe and thanks, you too!

Not at all. In fact id go as far to say its so much so on the warmer side it doesnt really suit any kind of higher drive lead part its much better suited to fat rythm parts
The pedals sound great, but that Katana sounds shrill and well, horrible to me. Just not a Katana fan and it hurt the sound of the pedals. I own a Lightspeed and am definitely going to get a Southland. Your video was great minus the Katana…sorry to criticize it so much…
Its a fair criticism - its taken me such a long time to learn how to mic an amp and what mics suit what for me. Even now on most recent stuff im not 100% happy with it 🤣

I also hate Katana. Selling it was the best thing i’ve done in a while. Good point. I like Boss products btw.
