good stuff man! just did mine not too long ago but its with the ctr/itr calipers and rotors. i had trailing arms with brackets previously welded on
Very informational video, found a prelude local to me that’s getting parted out so I might do this soon!
Thanks 😁
Excelent brake change !!! Verry good ! Clean simpli thanks for share vídeo .
Good job, that crv will be a perfect all around car when finished.
Valve cover looks great in that last shot, I must copy your idea ☺
Thanks mate, welcome to copy lol there is even a video on how i painted it black
@@jdmnuggets lol I know I commented on it already and I watch all your uploads as they pop up in notifications, I just thought it looked even better now in completely different video with different context when you are not expecting to see it.
Hahah yeah man its all starting to come together 😁. Thanks for the support dude, appreciate it.
Thanks, best guide i've seen.
Thank you, glad it was helpful.
Excelente video muchas gracias por la información, servirá de mucha ayuda para poderlo realizar en mi CRV 99. Gracias 🙏🙏😁
Thanks for your sharing knowledge 👍
отличная идея!!!хотелось бы узнать размены переходной пластины)
Rad info. Keep it up 👍
Thanks for watching 😁
Great video man!
Cheers dude
This video series is extremely helpful, thanks! The car looks awesome! Great job with everything.
Did the RD1 driveshaft bolt right up or do you need to shorten it still?
Thanks! Im about to start dealing with the prop shaft, going to see if i can use the rd5 prop shaft as its shorter then the rd1. Otherwise yeah i will need to shorten the rd1 prop shaft.
That's one clean crv
Nice & very helpfull to upgared my CRV. Do you have any sugestion parts beside using a honda prelude's parts? Becouse its a rare item here in Indonesia.
i would clean up the arm and re paint it since you have it off.
How can I get the support you use for the caliper that describes it has?
Brilliant.
Nice but where do I find the bracket
i like the drum brakes system even though ihate the set up. they actually stick much better than discs brakes.. though the disc pads look much nicer, they wear much faster than drum brake shoes.
nice job
Try putting the right side caliper on the left said and the left caliper on the right side. So the bleeder screw isn’t facing down. But other than that the install seemed clean and easy.
It hits the trailing arm that way, gotta grind the caliper if ya do that. There is a video on YT about how to do it.
Awesome.
Does the rear disc brakes hood or how is the brakes pedal?
what is the thickness of the adapter
Wow very nice!
Cheers !
did the rear disc brake and big brakes up front. got good brake pedal when car is off but goes to floor when cars on. if i press the brake twice while moving it locks the brakes up. any tips?
Why don’t you switch calipers from left to right to the bleeder faces up is there clearance issues?
Silly question, does the E-Brake need brake fluid to activate braking? I have the Accord lines but there seem to be some play because they will not activate. Help.
How can one correct the rear wheel camber
Como puedo conseguir la conversión para mi cr.v 99
Top 🎉🎉🎉
Did the k series dif bolt up to the b series drive shaft?
It will need to be shortened by 3/4"
Will the stock 15 inch all wheel drive wheel fit with this set up?
Yeah no problem
for the rear rotors you used 1996 prelude rotors on rock auto i see they are 4 lug
No i used 5 lug. My crv is converted to 5x114.3. Normally a 96 rd1 would be 4x114.3
Salundo me gustaria porde comprarlo para hacerlo en mi vehiculos .tengo una crv 2000
Hey bro would it be the same if you just have a front wheel drive
You might be able to just use integra parts, contact Brian hasty at fast brakes or join the vtec academy live stream and ask your question there
So when you take something apart you say its sorted? So does that mean when you put it together you have made a mess of it?
I think thats the definition of car modification 😂. Sorted as in ready to go, must be a kiwi thing.. never thought about it until now but it does sound mental 🤷♂️😂
hello where can i get a reduction for the caliper? 🙂
Sorry im not sure what your asking
A question bro
Wear can I buy the brackets to mount calipers?
Have a look in the video description
Can you send me a link where I could buy that kid
Você poderia me enviar o modelo do suporte da pinça?
bb6 prelude
Have you had any issue with the e-brake cables being too long & not clamping the rear brakes enough to prevent rolling when parking on an angle? I installed the whole setup months back but I've never been able to get the e-brake to work despite maxing out the hand brake adjustment, and I'm now realizing I've got 2x BC95297 cables which are 78.69". I originally ordered 1x BC95294 (78.06") and 1x BC95066 (77.75"), thinking the difference in length was fitting for the hand brake being slightly off-center, but returned them due to one (can't remember which) not having the appropriate fitting at the caliper despite all 3 options being listed as having a hammer & clevis. This whole thing's got me confused at this point and am curious if someone can give me a definitive answer as to whether the e-brake is fully functional with 2x BC95294, or if the shorter BC95066 cables might work with this setup. Any clarification would be appreciated! Thanks
If you need more adjustment at the hand brake try putting a spacer on the adjusted bolt at the hand brake.
@@jdmnuggets I appreciate you getting back to me! So I can assume you haven't had any issue with the '294 cables? Thing is, I've not only maxed the adjustment but I've grinded away contact points on the bracket for the cable ends & notched the brake bracket as well, so I'm beyond max tightness with no luck. Obviously the extra ~.7" length of the '297 cables I've used doesn't help me here, so either way I'm going to give the ones you've suggested a shot. The thread I'd read putting this swap together just said 94-97 V6 Accord cables without the specific part number. Killer build and great videos, by the way. Thanks again, cheers mate 👍
The cables ive listed seem to be working well id for sure recommend them, thanks for watching 😁
thats the wrong part #cables you need the ones for the ABS rear disk brakes
@@elpichito3 oh yeah, why is that?
This would work for a 01 crv awd?
As long as its an rd1 then yes
I want to know all the part than I really need for can do that and how much everything can cost me
it's literally in the description bro
I’m confused so you can use the rd5 rear diff instead of the rd1 rear diff with the bseries set up or is it just for the Kswap? Or can I use it with bseries
You can use it with b series also
@@jdmnuggets any benefits to switching them ?
@hotshizzgaming569 the later models rear diff and viscous couplers lock up quicker. Basically, it engages 4x4 quicker and with less slip pressure. My diif is jdm rd5 you might need one from an element as i think the usdm rd5 has the same vc as the rd1. Another benefit to swaping in a later model diff is getting a new lower mileage diff/vc these older rd1 diffs, are, well, starting to get old lol
@@jdmnuggets Changeover was 2007ish I think. Diffs from crv, element, even some crosstour bolt right up.
does this still work with abs? saw another video guy said it doesn't work with abs which i find hard to believe
Abs works fine. Abs ring is on the axle and sensor is on the back of the spindle/hub.
@@jdmnuggets yeah exactly dont know why that guy said it doesnt work lol
Lol, yeah internet mechanics
Does he let some gas out at the 6 minute mark?
Gas?
Do all the CRV's have the same gear ratios and rear diffs just match up?
I have a 98 5speed awd, I know all the 2nd gen +2002 are K-series. Do they match?
Edit: I just saw that this is already a K-swap in a RD1... I'm till curious about awd Honda rear diff gear ratios tho, D-series Wagovan Civics, B20 RD1's and K24 RD5's have any interchangeability?
As far as i know 96 through 2009 crv diffs are all interchangeable including elements. I know people upgrade to wagovan viscous coupler and rear diff but i don't know the ratio, i assume its the same.
I think they are the same. There is a difference in final drive ratio between the Autos and Manuals, but I think that all happens before the output. The D-series wagovan stuff idk about, too expensive for what it is in either case imho.
@@nobodynoone2500 Thanks! as I've thought about it, I realized all the rear diff and gear ratios are set in by the FWD trans and any rear differential in a Honda is going to be a 1:1 input to output from the front to rear. No need to match up anything, as it all should work if you just make it fit together.
Where can I find those brackets please?
You serious?
Sorry hydraulic brake hoses, I can not find 32" , thank you
@@alfredoamado1814 local brake specialists made them for me
@@jdmnuggets what I have to do to get those please?
Why just not cut the back cover¡? its not going to be used again no need to press the hub out
But if your going change wheel and hub then you can take them out
Why cut and hack something to bits when you can press it out in 1 minute, pluss you dont risk accidentally cutting the trailing arms. If you want to cut it off then go for it 🙂
I thought the same thing, I feel like it would be super quick to cut out with a grinder
I've done it both ways (for other reasons lol). Removing it is just a bit cleaner if you have a press.
